“Laura was absolutely fantastic. Treated Nala to a lovely day of walks and an all round pleasant day, keeping me informed throughout. Would 100% recommend Laura to anyone in the Nottingham area if they need someone to look after their dog. Thanks Laura!”

About: I owned two dogs when I was in Italy. I was responsible for caring for my dog since I was 13. My dog lived 15 years and the second is now 12 but he is in Italy with my sister. We went for walks in the forest and loved going to the park to play with other dogs. I have experience in walking different sizes of dogs. I also have 8 years experience in looking after guinea pigs. I have 2 cats that can be separated from pets boarding in a different room I am currently off work until the middle of July, so I will be at home most of the day. This means I can provide regular walks, plenty of playtime, toilet breaks, feeding, medication if needed, and lots of attention and companionship. Your pet will not be left alone for long periods and will receive consistent care throughout the day. Lots of cuddles and stimulation. Always supervised and have a pet camera. I make sure to follow the pets routine and keep owner up to date with messages and pictures
“Highly recommend Manuela. It was our first time leaving our puppy since we’ve had her. We received regular updates, photos and videos and Luna had great fun! Thanks again!”

About: Hi, we’re Leah (you can call me Leah – my legal name is Youngkyung) and Cameron, a cat loving couple based in Nottingham! 🐱💕 Cameron grew up with his beloved cat, Tiger, who was by his side for 22 wonderful years. Tiger taught Cameron the true meaning of love and care, and I (Leah) joined his life 5 years ago, having the privilege of caring for her as well. Even in the short time I spent with Tiger, I learned how special the bond between a person and their pet can be. As Tiger became a senior, we developed our skills in caring for older cats, learning to provide specialized attention to their unique needs. This includes administering medications, understanding dietary requirements, and ensuring they have a comfortable and safe environment. I am currently dedicated to full-time Rover cat sitting, while Cameron works full-time in retail management. This arrangement allows me to promise full availability and a reliable backup plan, ensuring your precious kitty receives the personalized attention they deserve whenever needed. One of the greatest benefits of choosing us as your kitty’s sitters is our heartfelt commitment as a couple to provide flexible and loving care. We’ve both missed having a furry companion in our lives! We live in a cozy, cat-friendly flat, perfect for welcoming your kitty into a quiet and safe space. Our flat especially has a door separating the living room from the entrance to ensure a secure environment for your cat. We’re non-smokers, and our home is peaceful and warm. Ideal setting for your pet to feel relaxed and cared for! 🌿☀️ Let us be your kitty’s next best friends! We can’t wait to meet them and give them all the love and attention they deserve. With us, your kitty will always feel right at home! 💓💓 P.S. I can take the best pictures of your kitty while you’re away!

About: Hi! I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals and helping people. I’m currently looking after a 13-year-old King Charles Spaniel on a temporary basis. She’s a lovely, quiet older girl, and I enjoy giving her the calm, gentle care she needs at this stage of life. I also gained lots of hands-on experience helping at my partner’s mum’s home, where she has dachshunds, huskies, and puppies. I regularly fed them, cleaned out their spaces, let them out for walks, and gave them plenty of attention and playtime. I’m comfortable with different breeds, energy levels, and ages – from lively young pups to calm seniors. As a carer by nature, I’m patient, responsible, and attentive. Whether it’s a daily walk, feeding, playtime, or just keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every animal like my own. I’m happy to look after dogs. I’d love to help you and your furry friends! Im currently unemployed so have a lot of free time to care for your pet! I will care for them as needed, they will be fed, go on walks and have a lot of fuss! I have a big back garden where the dogs will be able to run around, enjoy themselves! They will be able to go on many walks with myself at the local park which is 5 minute walk away
“Its so wonderful having a warm loving home for my darling Lulu to go to when I'm away with work. Odeta is so good with her; Lulu's always so happy to see Odeta when she arrives. Pictures and videos throughout the day assure me Lulu's walked, cuddled, fed, and gets lots of attention and play time. Odetas home will be for sure, a place for Lulu for a long time to come 🙏🥰”

About: I have a gap in fostering dogs right now and would love to offer help with your furry friends so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I have my own business and work from home so am pretty flexible to whatever your pets requires to feel at ease. I’m often around and can pick up last minute requests. I’ve joined rover as a sitter because I usually foster dogs and have struggled to find reliable, local sitters and so understand the importance of what is needed when you leave your loved one with a sitter while you are away. Whether it be while you’re at work or on holiday, rest assured your baby will be loved and cared for. I have a small but enclosed garden with 6 foot fencing which is perfect for a run around. I offer a tailored service so we can talk about what best suits your dog when we meet.
About: I love all animals and I have taken care of dogs and cats for over 20 years. I also look after family and friend's pets often. I work from home 5 days a week (mon-fri) and I can fit visiting/walking your pets easily. I am very flexible over the weekends and late afternoon/evenings. I will respect your home whilst I keep company to your pet. I will follow your instructions on how to get to your house and look after your pet.
“Here’s a warm, polished review you could post: We needed someone to look after Rupert due to a change in our work commitments, and we’re so glad we found Olivia. Olivia was absolutely fantastic with Rupert. It was clear from all the photos and videos that he had an amazing time and really enjoyed spending time with both Olivia and Jasper too! Seeing how happy he was throughout the day gave us complete peace of mind. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and Olivia kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos. They really made me smile during my workday and reassured me that Rupert was having the best time. Thank you so much, Olivia, for taking such great care of Rupert. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: Hi, I have had dogs as a child and now I have my 6 year old cavvie. Before I got him, I also used to look after the neighbour's dog while he was away. My boy is super friendly so can only accept other dogs that are frindly as I don't want him to be bullied. He is intact, however, he is very chilled and not territorial. All dogs can be considered if up to 15kg as long as friendly but I would avoid looking after girls that are not neutered for obvious reasosns. I work from home full time. I currently have a dog, so a typical day would look like this. Take the dogs out first thing in the morning. Then time for breakfast and relaxing till midday. Then time for lunch break walk and relaxing after. Then pre- bed quick outing for the dogs to do their business. While at home, I will also play with the dogs so they don't get bored. I have a velcro cavvie that is my baby and intend to treat your baby the same. I will ensure your dog is looked after to the same standart as mine (which is extremely high)
About: I have years of experience looking after pets, I grew up around cats and dogs and even looked after a family friends tortoise when they went on holiday. Nowadays I have my own cat and dog who I love and take care of every aspect of their lives, from playtime, walkies, litter trays, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience working on a farm and assisting with looking after the farmyard animals and am attuned to their unique needs and feeding schedules. I am currently studying at university full time so I have plenty of free time to help with walks or check-ins. I keep my calendar up to date and on my days off and weekends I am flexible I take your guidelines very seriously and your pets safety is my priority. I will ensure that your dog is kept on the lead at all times and maintain good road safety. I make sure to keep them away from other dogs. I will ensure there are no escape routes from the garden when letting your cat/dog outside and that the house is secure so they cannot get into rooms they shouldn’t have access to. I keep your pets in my sight at all times and can provide updates for you.
“Buddy had a fantastic day and was so lovely knowing he was being so well looked after. We received updates and photos which showed how much Buddy was enjoying his stay. Would recommend and book again. Thank you for taking such care of our four legged child 😊”

About: What sets me apart is the range of hands-on experience I’ve had with animals. I worked in a vet clinic for a month and have volunteered at rescues such as Moohaven and Guardian Angel Bird Sanctuary, which gave me experience with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve also cared for a variety of pets at home and through volunteering — from dogs and cats to chickens and turtles — so I’m confident handling different needs and routines. Growing up with two dogs and a cat of my own has also given me the patience and understanding to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved. As a sixth form student, I have a fairly flexible routine. I’m usually available in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends, which works well for walks, drop-ins, or pet sitting. I enjoy spending my free time with animals, so fitting pet care into my day feels natural. I can adjust around my school schedule to make sure pets get the time, attention, and care they need. For drop-ins, I make sure pets have fresh food and water, a potty break, and some playtime or cuddles so they feel happy and comfortable while their owners are away. I always check that everything is safe and secure before I leave. For dog walks, I focus on giving each dog the right balance of exercise and fun, whether that’s a brisk walk or a slower pace for older dogs. I keep walks safe by using secure leads, being aware of surroundings, and tailoring the walk to each dog’s needs and energy level

Direct access to the outdoors if pet needs the toilet. Nothing fragile/sharp that is of any danger in the flat
About: My boyfriend and I both grew up with family dogs, and ever since moving in together had our own dog. We trained her via doggy school since she was a little pup and took her on many adventures that went as far as moving to the UK with her. We regularly looked after our families dogs as well when they went away on holiday. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our little girl recently due to age. While we are looking for our next sweetheart, we have an abundance of love, walks and empty spots on the sofa for your furry friend! I work from home, but I occasionally have to travel for work and my partner is only 10 minutes away - both with flexible hours. This allows us to plan our days around your dogs needs! We live less then a minute walk from a big park and can easily go for multiple walks a day if they’re up to it. We also have a fully enclosed garden with space for running around. We’re flexible with your dogs needs, whether they require a crate to sleep in, prefer to sleep on the couch or on their doggy bed, just let us know. Near the end of her life, our dog became blind with different health issues. Going through this gives us experience to also take care of (senior) dogs who have a complex medical history. We have full flexibility for how we plan our working days. Whether we wake up early to go for a walk before breakfast, use our lunch break, or swap our evening sports for a long walk, we will adjust based on your dogs usual routine. With our enclosed garden, there’s plenty of playtime opportunities as well! In the weekend, we are able to make sure one of us is at home for most of the day if required. The garden is spacious and dog friendly. The house has enough room to place the dog’s personal bed or crate if needed. They are more then welcome to join us (and sleep) on our sofa as well. Feeding and walking are arranged to what they are used to, no matter how many times a day. Different medical routines are easily incorporated - experience with eye drops as well as regular pills.

About: I’ve been a dog mum since I was 10 years old, so caring for dogs has always been a huge part of my life. My partner and I are both huge dog lovers, and because we both work from home, we’re able to provide pets with plenty of time, attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. I also have experience with puppy training, and we both understand that dogs are family members. We always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, loved, and comfortable while in our care. One of our favourite things to do is taking dogs on long walks, we love seeing them enjoy themselves, explore, and have fun. We believe every dog deserves kindness, patience, attention, and the very best care possible. 🐶🐾❤️ After moving to Nottingham in 2023, I took a short break from providing Rover services while settling into a new home and routine. Now that everything is settled, I’m excited to be back and ready to provide loving, reliable care for your pets again. We live in a spacious flat that provides a calm, safe, and cosy environment where your dog can feel relaxed and right at home.

Rachel was so nice on messages and was really keen to meet Patch which was great. Patch had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave when we came to pick him up. Rachel cared for Patch like he was her own and we couldn’t ask for anything more, she continued his training with positive reinforcement and he loved his time there. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you both for having him.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
