Thank you so much for taking care of Mika today, she's very much looking forward to her next visit with you. Lynne was fantastic throughout the entire process, Mika is my absolute world and I get very anxious about leaving her. We had a successful meet and greet, I was able to read her previous reviews and her home was in a familiar area to us so this all helped. It's been a very hot day today and Lynne was happy to take Mika on an early walk before it got too warm, Mika has very much enjoyed the air conditioning!! Lynne sent photos and kept me updated during the day. Thank you again!

About: Dog lady, love dogs! Owner and carer of dogs for 20yrs. Recently studying dog behaviour course and have clients for both dog walking and behaviour therapy. Kisses and cuddles a plenty!! I’m a (young) retired teacher. Retrained as a dog behaviourist. I have two primary age children and need to be around for school pickup and drop off but I’m flexible with the rest of my time. I’m available Monday to Friday I have a fenced garden and two crazy fun pupsters to play with your fur baby if they enjoy play. Or an 11 yr old guy who likes to snooze if that’s what your little one prefers. Alternatively, for dog walking I have a dog mobile that I can pick up and safely collect and return your furry family member. I never walk more than three dogs at a time and by arrangement can walk separately if needed. I’m calm and patient and love my time with four legged friends so, their health and safety is paramount to me at all times 😍

Cameron was able to accommodate a late request for our cockapoo, Dexter, which was a godsend. She's really nice and clearly loves dogs so I was comfortable leaving him there. She sent pics and reassurance that he was fine, which was welcome, and he seemed perfectly happy when we picked him up. Will certainly use again if the occasion comes up.

I was really pleased we got to do a meet and greet before leaving Cookie for the day. She was really relaxed and seemed to get on well with Karen's dogs. On the day, Karen shared lots of pictures of Cookies day and it was obvious she had a good time as she didn't really want to leave! I would definitely leave Cookie with Karen again. Thanks for taking care of our pup!

For a first time ever at daycare I'm really pleased. Obi is a nervous little guy sometimes and Dilma and co. really helped Obi feel comfortable. He even had a little nap which I was surprised at. I didn't know if he was going to be able to settle in a strange environment. Will definitely be coming back for another play day x

Our dog has just had his first day with Amber, despite him acting a little anxious to start with it sounds like they had a lovely day together. Amber was very understanding and knew how to help him calm down. Would definitely recommend Amber - she took the time to find out what our dog likes and dislikes and sent photos throughout the day so we knew how he was getting on.

Buddy is a very anxious and needy dog and he’s never been left with someone he doesn’t know. Janice was very patient with him and by the end his stay he was comfortable enough to sit on the settee with her! She kept me informed throughout the day and I feel very reassured for his week long stay with her next week 😊

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Derbyshire Dales on Rover is £25.3 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,454 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Derbyshire Dales. About 85% of Derbyshire Dales sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Derbyshire Dales commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
