We did a last minute booking with Ebru because we had an important family issue, and thank god Ebru was available. She took our cockerpoo for 2 nights and such a relief. Ebru was very professional and kept in touch with us with pictures etc. We will definitely use Ebru services again, and would vouch for her for others that wish to have her look after the dogs. Thanks again Ebru🙏👍

About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and am a huge dog lover. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, including my friend’s dog and my auntie’s dog, who I care for quite often. Through this experience, I’ve become confident handling dogs of all different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and enjoy taking them on walks, playing with them, cuddles and making sure they feel happy. Whether it’s a long walk, some company during the day, or lots of attention and affection, I treat every dog as if they were my own I work from home full time so happy to care and be around for your dogs with my flexible schedule🐶 I have the time to pop over, go on walks or a have your dog for a sleepover most days 🐾 I live in a detached house with a good sized fenced garden! It is 3 storey so there is stairs to consider if your dog likes to sleep upstairs, but plenty of rooms and space if your dog likes sleeping elsewhere. I live near lots of walking trails, fields, woods, and swimming spots! I don’t have any other pets and live with my boyfriend who also absolutely loves dogs too.

Highly recommended and gave my dogs a home from home experience. Shelby looked after my two dogs for two nights and we were updated lots with photos of them playing, out on walks and snuggled up with Shelby. We were put at ease straight away when we met them before boarding and this trust and care for our dogs continued with excellent communication before, during and after the boarding experience. We will definitely trust and use them again. Thank you so much guys.

Diana had a fabulous time staying with Natalie and her family. She settled in well with the family dogs and seemed to enjoy the relaxed and kind atmosphere in the farmhouse.Natalie sent frequent messages and photos to reassure us that Diana was happy and enjoying her holiday. There was plenty of good walking around the farm, and cosy rest time in front of the fire. It seemed a gently structured and very dog friendly household. Dog heaven!! We were confident that Diana was being well cared for. Huge thanks to Natalie for looking after Diana so well. We will certainly be making future bookings

Antonia cared for our retriever x Loki and took such great care of him. From the moment we dropped him at her home we were kept informed with picture updates and felt completely reassured the whole time. She took him on long walks and he always looked so relaxed and happy. He came home very contented, if not a little sad to be back! We will 100% use Antonia again! Thank you!

First time using Jade and I’ll definitely use Jade again! She made sure to keep me updated with how Winnie was getting on and send me loads of photos which made my heart melt, Winnie had the bestest day to the point where she didn’t even want to get back in the car! Jade looks after your pup like she’s her own and it’s amazing to have that when it’s needed!

Our pup Alfie had a great time on his holiday. Louise was absolutely brilliant, keeping us up to date with pictures throughout the weekend. Alfie went on great walks and had so much fun playing with their beautiful, best natured girl, Luna. We highly recommend Louise and we’ll defo be booking with her again. Thank you so much for everything both. Alfie was a happy pup.

Ellie and Liam are great! Communication is brilliant and they take such good care of our dog, we definitely recommend them. Gremlin is a little quirky and takes a bit to warm up but they made him feel so comfortable the first time they had him, that he was so excited to go back again when we dropped him off! Thanks again :) xx

Picky had an amazing time with Karen. I could tell he absolutely loved her. On our side, we were really happy with everything too. She asked many pertinent questions, we could tell that she really knows her way around dogs. Picky being epileptic, we really wanted somebody thorough and trustworthy with his medication. She didn’t disappoint and we are looking forward to booking her again!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tracy and family. Our 2 dogs had the best stay and Tracy went over and above with care of our little Daschund who had recently hurt her back. Tracy’s husband is like the dog whisperer and our nervous dog went straight up to him on her first visit which is unheard of. Amazing service, such lovely people and home.

Can’t thank Charlotte enough for looking after my fur baby! I received regular updates through the weekend letting me know what they’d been up to. She took time listening to my dogs routine and that put my mind at ease. My dog has had a really wonderful weekend and I can’t thank you enough. 100% recommend!

I dropped my 4 month old Cockapoo Winnie off with Heather today and Winnie had the bestest time, Heather is so lovely and she makes sure that your pup is having the best time as well as herself! She sent me loads of pictures throughout the day and Winnie just looked so content and happy that I didn’t have any worries about her at all while I was at work. I will definitely use Heather again, thank you for looking after Winnie and for letting me know about her first tooth coming out(I still can’t believe it)!❤️❤️

FAQs for Boarding - Derbyshire Dales

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Derbyshire Dales on Rover is £33.35 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
