“Megan was amazing, this was a hard leave for me due to Tilly having a few health issues over the last few weeks. I chose Megan due to Tilly been the only animal there. Tilly was so happy when she came home I was updated daily on her feeding been happy as well has her medication and if she had any seizures. Thank you again Megan”

“Danielle looked after our dog whilst she was recovering from surgery. Her place is ideal if your dog requires something quieter, she listened to our dogs requirements and communicated well.”

“Picky had an amazing time with Karen. I could tell he absolutely loved her. On our side, we were really happy with everything too. She asked many pertinent questions, we could tell that she really knows her way around dogs. Picky being epileptic, we really wanted somebody thorough and trustworthy with his medication. She didn’t disappoint and we are looking forward to booking her again!”

“We couldn’t have asked for better dog sitters than Ebony and Reuben! They were absolutely wonderful – friendly, caring, and professional from start to finish. They followed all of our instructions perfectly and kept us updated frequently, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Marlow was clearly very well looked after and happy in their care. Truly top-notch service – we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring sitters.”

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember and have grown up with both large and small breeds, from German Shepherds to little terriers. I currently have a 6-month-old Sprocker Spaniel, so I’m very familiar with the energy, enthusiasm, and affection that dogs bring into our lives. Spending time with dogs is something I genuinely love, whether that’s taking them on long walks, playing with them, or simply making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and understand how important it is for owners to know their pet is in safe, caring hands. Alongside caring for healthy, active dogs, I also have experience looking after senior dogs with mobility issues, ensuring they receive the patience, support, and extra care they need. I’ve cared for rescue dogs, helped build confidence in dogs struggling with social anxiety, and supported dogs with medical conditions, including epilepsy, always following owners’ guidance and routines closely. My experience with dogs of different ages, temperaments, and needs has helped me become adaptable, attentive, and confident in providing the individual care each dog deserves. I work from home three days a week, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to provide attentive pet care throughout the day. I have my own dog, so caring for pets is already a big part of my daily routine. We enjoy three walks a day (one long walk and two shorter walks), along with playtime, training sessions, enrichment activities, and lots of cuddles. I like to pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy levels, and mood so I can tailor their day to what they enjoy most and what makes them feel comfortable and happy. I provide a safe, loving, and calm environment where pets are treated like part of the family. I take the time to get to know each dog’s routine, preferences, and needs to help them feel secure and settled. Whether caring for pets in my home or in their owner’s home, I ensure they receive regular exercise, playtime, mental stimulation, fresh water, feeding according to instructions, and plenty of affection. I always monitor how a dog is feeling and adapt activities to suit their energy level and comfort, while maintaining a safe and trustworthy environment at all times.

“We left dita for the first time with someone who wasn’t family or close friends, we were very wary of this and how it would go, But our worries and concerns were immediately delt with. She accommodated dita with loving care and attention as she had an injured leg with antibiotics and pain relief. Not one single tablet was missed and dita was comfortable. We had multiple videos and updates every single day, I would thoroughly recommend booking with d, we for sure will be using again in the near future. 5 stars would give more if I could! Thanks for having dita and loving her as your own x”

“5 stars-as always! What a great dog sitter Erin is. I feel completely at ease every time we leave our beautiful boy Marley with Erin and Skye! Lots of gorgeous dog walks for him and cuddles at night on the sofa. We are so pleased that we found Erin and would not want to leave our precious bundle of fur with anyone else now. Would highly recommend. Thanks again Erin. Top class service 👍🏻👍🏻☺️☺️❤️❤️”

“John & Marion are amazing, after meeting Barney and showing him around their home we booked him in for a couple of days and he had a great time. We received pictures and updates which was very comforting after leaving Barney for the first time at 4 and half years old. He is already booked in for a longer stay and the stress of leaving him when we go away has been taken away. Thank you guys & see you soon”

“Mirela-Gabriela was a live saver after our planned sitter cancelled last minute, and we couldn’t be more grateful to her! She was understanding with Freddy’s previous anxiety and made him feel so at home, with cuddles on the couch and sleeping on her bed too. She sent lots of photos and went above and beyond to make Fred’s holiday special - thank you so much! We will absolutely be booking again (with much more notice next time!)”

“Ellen and Kieran were brilliant dog sitters - Lilly is a very giddy spaniel and not for the faint hearted but they welcomed her into their home and she had a blast. Ellen kept us updated with photos and messages and Lilly looked very happy in their company. We would love for Lilly to return to Ellen for our next trip :)”

Sam was absolutely brilliant. Ruby had just the best time. Sam sent pictures each day of what adventures they were getting up to which was lovely. Ruby looked so happy and content. Would definitely recommend Sam, and I will definitely be asking Sam to look after Ruby in a heartbeat in the future. Thank you so much for welcoming Ruby into your home with your beautiful family. ❤️ x

We were very worried about leaving our 2 babies for the first time but Ebony and Reuben were absolutely amazing! Our dogs can be anxious but Ebony and Reuben’s calming nature really helped them to settle into their new environment really quickly. During our holiday we had regular updates and photos, communication was great which put us at ease so we could enjoy ourselves without worry. We can’t thank them enough, we would highly recommend and will certainly book again. Our dogs had a great time and came home a lot more relaxed than before. Thank you Ebony and Reuben :)

Mirela-Gabriela is a dream sitter and a truly wonderful person. Freddy is always in safe hands and feels completely at home with her and her family (including Freddy’s new best friend Foxy!). We booked with Mirela at last minute during a difficult family time, and she was so supportive and helpful with times, dates and updates. We received lots of photos and updates, and love knowing how happy our Freddy is when he stays with her. Cannot thank her enough! I will definitely re-book and would highly recommend ❤️🐾

Thanks so much for looking after Barley at our house for a couple of nights. He was really well looking after. It was great to get all the photos and updates. Thank you for taking the time before we went away to pop over to the house to meet him. As he's only young and it was great to have someone who could stay at our house where he was more settled. Thank you and would definitely come to you again in the future.

Josh and his family looked after Hugo, our Cavalier King Charles, for nearly 3 weeks and it couldn't have gone better. A real home from home for him! Josh kept us updated with pics of walks in the woods and joining in family life at home. Thank you, and hope to see you again. Nick & Jane

Becky really helped us out last minute when another sitter fell through. She was very responsive and flexible in planning around our trip. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
