“Jack was so wonderful and patient with Cora! She's definitely not the easiest of pups (anxious, high energy) but Jack was very open and kept us in the loop with how she was doing plenty of times. His communication really put us at ease and we felt confident our doggy was in safe hands. He asked all the right questions beforehand to make sure Cora was cared for as closely as she is at home and even treated her to a big walk out in the peaks! Jack has a dog seat belt attachment in his car so Cora was properly transported. She came home clean and happy and we couldn't have hoped for anything better. He listened to any care instructions and advice we gave him and even prepared treats for when she arrived. We'll definitely consider Jack again in future as he's a lovely lad too and very reasonably priced.”

About: I’ve owned and lived with dogs my whole life, and have plenty of experience looking after dogs for family and friends over the years. I’m most experienced with small to medium-sized breeds, but I’m also very comfortable around larger dogs. I have my own Labradoodle, Bear, at home, so I’m used to the everyday responsibilities of caring for a dog and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs. I’m an active person and love getting out for walks or runs and exploring with the dogs in my care. Whether they’re looking for a long walk and plenty of exercise or are happier taking things at a slower pace, I’m happy to adapt to what suits them. For me, looking after a dog is about more than simply keeping them safe. I want them to feel comfortable, settled and part of the family while they’re with me, with plenty of attention, play and affection along the way. When your dog stays with us, they’ll be treated as part of the family and won’t be left on their own for long periods. My wife and I both work on a hybrid basis, so there will always be someone at home. We’ll only accept a booking when one of us is available to be there. We’re both active and enjoy getting out with the dogs, so you can expect regular walks throughout the day — usually in the morning, around midday and again in the afternoon. We have plenty of nearby fields, woodland and open spaces, giving us lots of opportunities for longer walks and exploring. There’s also regular access to our garden for some fresh air, playtime or simply relaxing outside. Bear will usually join us for walks and play, giving dogs the opportunity to have a companion during their stay. Of course, we’ll always take introductions at the dogs’ own pace and can keep them separated if that’s more comfortable or preferred. For overnight stays, your dog will be welcome to sleep with Bear, or we can provide a separate space if they prefer their own space or need to be kept apart. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be our priority. We have a completely secure garden, with plenty of space for dogs to enjoy some fresh air and play safely. Dogs will usually spend time with Bear, including on walks and around the house. Bear is incredibly soft and sweet natured. But we do understand that not every dog will be comfortable living alongside another dog. We’re able to keep dogs separated whenever needed or preferred, and we’ll always take introductions slowly and follow your dog’s temperament and routine. We also have the flexibility to use a crate or a large, covered area that can be fully enclosed, giving dogs a safe and comfortable space of their own when they need some quiet time. Above all, we’re responsible, sensible and professional people who genuinely love dogs. We’ll take the time to understand your dog, follow the instructions you leave us and make sure they’re safe, happy and well cared for throughout their stay.

About: Hi, I'm Sam. I love cats and dogs equally - I'm a firm believer that it doesn't have to be either/or! I grew up in a house with cats of very different personalities - one who was as quiet as a mouse and the other who was a dyed-in-the-fur neighbourhood bruiser. I've also spent a lot of time around dogs since I was a young kid, from digging holes in the garden with my childminder's Border Collie to looking after my friend's Beagle for long weekends and taking him on the Sheffield Round Walk. I've always wanted a dog of my own and I'm just waiting for the day when it becomes practical. (Unfortunately my partner is not a cat person, so the dream of having both is unlikely...) I'm a caring, responsible and responsive pet lover who is confident around animals of different shapes, sizes and temperaments. I understand that cats and dogs are deceptively complex, so they require a personalised approach. I'm currently very flexible for home visits of dogs and cats, and walks for dogs. I'm based in Heeley, S2. I'm new to Rover but I take the job seriously. I'm also keen to meet and greet to make sure we're both comfortable before committing to anything. I can't wait to get to know your cat and/or dog! I'm currently out of work so I'm super flexible. My son (5) absolutely loves dogs too so sometimes he'll be able to tag along. Our garden is nice and secure. Whenever we have a dog staying we close the upstairs doors so they don't have free rein, and generally they sleep in the living room.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats since I was 6 and have always loved being around animals. Over the years, I’ve regularly looked after pets for friends and family, from feeding and walks to playtime and keeping them company. It’s actually looking after their pets that gave me the idea to start pet sitting for others. I’m also a pet owner myself and have had my two cats for the past two years. I make sure they have everything they need, including fresh water, stimulating toys and an automatic feeder. My cats can also be kept completely separate from any pets I look after, so every animal can have their own comfortable space and feel happy and settled. I’m naturally caring and attentive and would treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. I currently part-time and do university, so quite flexible with my schedule.I am completely free on weekends also. I also live with my partner, who is a huge animal lover and can help with care when needed. We can offer a flexible routine with plenty of attention, play and company for your pet. I’ve grown up around both and regularly care for dogs through friends and family, so I’m comfortable with their different needs, routines and personalities. I live in a two-bedroom flat where my two cats have their own separate room, so visiting pets can have the rest of the home to themselves without needing to share space with my cats. I take a lot of care with my own cats, including providing a water fountain, multiple food and water bowls, an automatic feeder, wet food twice a day, interactive toys, dental sticks and plenty of treats. About: I have had experience with cats and dogs on and off my whole life. I had a cat (Tinkerbell) when I was younger and more recently my brother and sister in law gained three beautiful dogs ( two cavapoos and a dachshund) a tortoise called Sheldon and 5 chickens. I have helped look after all these for them and I absolutely love it .I would love my own dog but can't at present due to work/family commitments.
