About: Hi, I’m Nicole. I have 8 years of experience as a military dog handler, working with dogs in structured, high responsibility environments. I’m confident handling dogs of different sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and training needs. I understand canine body language, safe leash handling, routine, discipline, and the importance of calm, consistent care. Whether your dog needs a relaxed walk, structured exercise, drop-in care, or overnight sitting, I’ll treat them with patience, professionalism, and respect. I’m especially comfortable with working breeds, high energy dogs, dogs that need firm but kind handling, and owners who want clear updates while they’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I make reliability a priority for every booking. I have 8 years of experience as a military dog handler, so I’m accustomed to maintaining consistent schedules and routines for dogs in my care. Whether it’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I work closely with owners to ensure their dog’s exercise, feeding, and training routines are maintained. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. Safety and welfare are my top priorities. I have extensive experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m confident reading canine body language, managing dogs safely on walks, and adapting my approach to each individual dog’s needs. I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and house rules. I am experienced in reinforcing existing training and maintaining routines to help dogs feel comfortable and secure. Whether caring for pets in their own home or out on walks, I focus on providing calm, structured, and professional care while treating every dog as if they were my own

“Simone took excellent care of my high energy 13-month-old working line German Shepherd Storm while we were away, Storm has lead reactivity and separation anxiety but Simone handled him perfectly, even when he barked initially Simone handled it with perfect calm confidence and made him feel safe and settled. She took him for plenty of walks and kept him cool in the heat, we came back to a well taken care of comfortable happy puppy, I can’t recommend Simone enough, we will certainly be booking her again in the future! Thank you so much Simone! 😊”

“My dog returned very happy and calm after being with Sue for the week. He had a fantastic time and Sue kept me updated with messages, I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Will definitely use Sue in future.”

About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and am a huge dog lover. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, including my friend’s dog and my auntie’s dog, who I care for quite often. Through this experience, I’ve become confident handling dogs of all different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and enjoy taking them on walks, playing with them, cuddles and making sure they feel happy. Whether it’s a long walk, some company during the day, or lots of attention and affection, I treat every dog as if they were my own I work from home full time so happy to care and be around for your dogs with my flexible schedule🐶 I have the time to pop over, go on walks or a have your dog for a sleepover most days 🐾 I live in a detached house with a good sized fenced garden! It is 3 storey so there is stairs to consider if your dog likes to sleep upstairs, but plenty of rooms and space if your dog likes sleeping elsewhere. I live near lots of walking trails, fields, woods, and swimming spots! I don’t have any other pets and live with my boyfriend who also absolutely loves dogs too.

About: I have grown up with animals all my life! Mainly dogs but a lot more smaller animals too🤍 I currently have 2 of my own German shepherds which are my babies and love other doggies being around too. I look after family pets and they fit into mine and our dogs schedules with no issues 🤍 We have a fenced Garden which is big enough for 4 dogs and is cleaned daily! We also live in a new estate so it’s very quiet which means the dogs are never stressed with noise other than themselves 🐶 - if I am in your home I will treat it exactly how you wish and make sure your pet is happy !
“Antonia cared for our retriever x Loki and took such great care of him. From the moment we dropped him at her home we were kept informed with picture updates and felt completely reassured the whole time. She took him on long walks and he always looked so relaxed and happy. He came home very contented, if not a little sad to be back! We will 100% use Antonia again! Thank you!”

“Highly recommended, will be booking with sabina again. She is very experienced with caring for dogs/animals and even provided some training for my dog whilst caring for her. Tallulah was very happy and comfortable staying with Sabina & her lovely family.”

But Yvonne invited us to her house for a couple of visits before I finally left Rosie . The stay went wonderfully, with lots of photos of Rosie having cuddles and belly rubs . Thanks Yvonne , Rosie will become a regular visitor xx”

About: I have grown up with cats and English pointers since I was a child. I have two cats of my own. I have cared for friends and family pets at their houses or at my own in many occasions and want to be able to do this more regularly due to my love of animals! It’s hard to be away from pets, and I know this first hand leaving my cats for holidays so regular updates and pictures are of course a given. Dogs who cannot be left free roam, crates will need to be provided by owners which must be big enough for pets to be left in meaning they can stand, turn and lay down on their side comfortably. I currently work full time and mainly from home. I am available for weekends and week days. I will not be able to provide care the days I do have to go into the office. Your dog will mostly be with me during the day in my office room whilst I work. I have a large fenced garden which is great for dogs to run around in and I am able to have crate trained dogs, non crate trained providing they aren’t chewers as although I work from home I do regular go out for short periods. I will require a meet up prior to any new bookings and suggest the dog if left for a couple of hours with me to make sure they are happy as well as myself.

I enjoy this job and will make time for your cat if I am needed - some flexibility is available. Your cats will be taken care of with the love, respect and care I would give my own. “This was Tillys first trip away from us and she had the best time. Meg was great at keeping us updated with photos and videos. Would 100% recommend and Tilly will definitely be coming back :)”

“We used Rover for the first time in May 2022. The service was very straightforward and efficient. Our Jack Russell Buddy went to spend a week with Becki. We arranged a meet and greet before he went. Which made us feel really comfortable that he would be fine. During our week Becki sent photos, videos and kind messages. She was amazing with Buddy. He had a brilliant week and I would definitely recommend Becki to others. Thank you so much we'll certainly be in touch in the future.”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
