About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and am a huge dog lover. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, including my friend’s dog and my auntie’s dog, who I care for quite often. Through this experience, I’ve become confident handling dogs of all different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and enjoy taking them on walks, playing with them, cuddles and making sure they feel happy. Whether it’s a long walk, some company during the day, or lots of attention and affection, I treat every dog as if they were my own I work from home full time so happy to care and be around for your dogs with my flexible schedule🐶 I have the time to pop over, go on walks or a have your dog for a sleepover most days 🐾 I live in a detached house with a good sized fenced garden! It is 3 storey so there is stairs to consider if your dog likes to sleep upstairs, but plenty of rooms and space if your dog likes sleeping elsewhere. I live near lots of walking trails, fields, woods, and swimming spots! I don’t have any other pets and live with my boyfriend who also absolutely loves dogs too.

My Springer and Sprocker spaniels spent a great weekend with Kris at her place. They had some great walks as evidenced by the video's and photo's, and even had their own bedroom with a sofa in it, so were thoroughly spoiled (we don't let them on the furniture at home...). They came back happy and healthy, and Kris was a joy to deal with from the initial half day tester session, right through the actual stay. I will definitely be booking them in with her again!

Chester enjoyed his time with Lone and her young family . I would fully recommend Lone to look after my puppy again in the future. Chester was not stressed or anxious on collection. In fact he was still happy to be there once I came to collect him. Thank you Lone it was a big help today see you soon 😀

The dogs were made very welcome and seemed to enjoy their stay which was a trial run for a longer one in December. The resident dogs are lovely and as welcoming as their humans.

It's been an absolute pleasure to leave Lola with Sue, she is such a lovely lady and took such good care of Lola. We are very confident that we have found the right person to leave Lola with whenever we need to. I actually think Lola didn't want to come home. Thank you Sue

Shelby and her partner were really attentive with our Daschund, Minnie. Minnie is a really needy dog and suffers from separation anxiety but settled really well with Shelby:) she was really well looked after whilst we were away for the weekend and could relax knowing Minnie was well cared for. highly recommend Shelby to care for your dogs!

Sue was amazing! She accepted me last minute although she already had other two active bookings! She took really good care of Micky, taking him in long walks & lots of play, sending pictures and updates on a daily basis! Micky was fussy about places where he would like to sleep and she provided him with other beds than his own which was really great to see! Surely will come back!

Simone took excellent care of my high energy 13-month-old working line German Shepherd Storm while we were away, Storm has lead reactivity and separation anxiety but Simone handled him perfectly, even when he barked initially Simone handled it with perfect calm confidence and made him feel safe and settled. She took him for plenty of walks and kept him cool in the heat, we came back to a well taken care of comfortable happy puppy, I can’t recommend Simone enough, we will certainly be booking her again in the future! Thank you so much Simone! 😊

Whether your dog needs a relaxed walk, structured exercise, drop-in care, or overnight sitting, I’ll treat them with patience, professionalism, and respect. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I make reliability a priority for every booking. I have 8 years of experience as a military dog handler, so I’m accustomed to maintaining consistent schedules and routines for dogs in my care. About: I have grown up with animals all my life! Mainly dogs but a lot more smaller animals too🤍 I currently have 2 of my own German shepherds which are my babies and love other doggies being around too. I work from home which means your dog will have a home away from home with us 🫶🏼 I work from home most days mainly Thursday Friday but I work flexible days! I look after family pets and they fit into mine and our dogs schedules with no issues 🤍 We have a fenced Garden which is big enough for 4 dogs and is cleaned daily! We also live in a new estate so it’s very quiet which means the dogs are never stressed with noise other than themselves 🐶 - if I am in your home I will treat it exactly how you wish and make sure your pet is happy !

Many thanks to Yvonne for caring for Rosie so well over the weekend. It’s the first time Rosie has stayed there . I was nervous as Rosie is a miniature dachshund and is a real Mummy’s girl . But Yvonne invited us to her house for a couple of visits before I finally left Rosie . The stay went wonderfully, with lots of photos of Rosie having cuddles and belly rubs . Thanks Yvonne , Rosie will become a regular visitor xx

Just picked my 2 girls up from a 6 night stay with Luke, not going to lie my anxiety about leaving them was awful, but we did a meet with Luke and his 3 fur babies and they all got on so well, made it a little easier. We dropped the girls off and was updated straight away on how they were. Everyday we got updates, photos and videos, I was able to enjoy my holiday knowing my girls were getting as much love and attention with Luke as they do at home. Will definitely be booking with Luke again 5☆ could have asked for anymore. Thank you Luke from us all

Peppa had a lovely stay with Cat. Was reassuring that she had one to one care. Cat sent updates to ensure us that Peppa was happy. Cat is a lovely lady who we were happy to leave our precious border terrier with, who we know has her own character and can be moody at times. We have already booked with Cat again🐾❤️

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
