I'm experienced in taking care of lots of different species, having had various pets in my life. Dogs, cats, rabbits, goldfish, birds and hamsters are my specialities but I am happy to care for many other kinds of pet. Boarding small animals can be arranged at a discounted price. If your small pet needs supervised time outside its cage, I can provide that in a safe environment. If your pet requires medication, I can deliver it. Please ensure they have an adequate supply. I am happy to provide a free initial visit to my home so you can decide if I'm the right sitter for you and fill me in on all the details I need to know to take the best care of your animals.

Peppa had a lovely stay with Cat. Was reassuring that she had one to one care. Cat sent updates to ensure us that Peppa was happy. Cat is a lovely lady who we were happy to leave our precious border terrier with, who we know has her own character and can be moody at times. We have already booked with Cat again🐾❤️
Max has been very well looked after by Cat and I have really appreciated the regular updates and photos. When he was collected to go home, he went back to snuggle on the sofa with Cat - a really good sign. Would not hesitate to book again with Cat. Thank you Cat.

We had a fantastic experience with Cat this weekend while they looked after our dog, Flossie. From the very start, communication was clear, friendly, and reassuring, which made it so much easier to leave her in someone else’s care. Flossie can sometimes be a little anxious in new environments, but it was obvious she felt comfortable and well cared for. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos—it was such a relief to see her relaxed, happy, and enjoying herself. When we picked her up, she was content, and clearly had been given plenty of attention and care. It’s clear that Cat genuinely loves dogs and treats them like part of the family 😊. During our initial meeting, she carried out a thorough consultation and took the time to learn everything she needed to know about Martha, which really helped her settle in quickly during her stay. We have just collected Willow from her long weekend break with Kat. Willow from the day she met Kat immediately felt safe and happy to be with her even on picking her up she was content to stay. Kat maintained regular contact with ourselves and met all of Willows needs - accommodating extra toilet breaks as Willow didn’t want to use the garden space. Kat is passionate and caring and I feel 100% happy to leave Willow in Kats care. I would highly recommend Kat to friends and family.

Schedule
I work as an online English tutor four days a week. My students have lessons at various times during the day so I have spare hours in between lessons to walk, feed and play with your pets throughout the working day. There are no other pets or regular human visitors here here so your loved one will experience a peaceful environment and my undivided attention.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a homeowner with a medium-sized, secure garden with tall fences. If you have a pet that needs quiet time in a room of its own, I have a spare bedroom for that purpose. However, if they need access to the whole house, that's fine, too. I live in a village with plenty of country walks nearby. If your dog would prefer a longer walk, I am happy to take them out in my van to nearby walks in Sherwood Forest and the Peak District.
A typical day
DOGS: Morning cuddles - at least two walks per day - feeding as often as requested - access to the garden whenever needed - enrichment activities such as play (fetch, catch (no sticks), tug o'war, chase - you let me know what kind of games your dog prefers) and training (if desired) - daily cleaning of food and water bowls - more cuddles... CATS: Morning cuddles or play - afternoon cuddles or play - evening cuddles or play! - daily cleaning of food and water bowls - daily spot cleaning of litter trays (or full clean and change of litter, if preferred) CAGED PETS: Time outside cage several times per day (if desired); this time may include talking to them, playing with them, petting them, allowing them to play in a separate play pen or outside run - daily cleaning of food and water containers - daily spot cleaning of cages (or daily full clean, if desired) - rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. may have supervised access to kitchen, which is a safe, wire-free space.
