About: I’ve always had cats, always had dogs all my life. If I’m honest they help me, support me and generally make me happy. I’m recently retired, doing some dog walking and boarding under the Proper Dog Walking Co. I’ve recently started the Proper Cat Feeding Service. The use of the word proper is a bit tongue in cheek and relates to something my dad used to say about dogs needing a proper walk. I have two Main Coons and 3 dogs. I take their care seriously and would like to help where I can.

About: Both myself and my partner Matt have grown up with dogs all our life. Up until August 2025, we also had a Samoyed who unfortunately passed away. Max is a highly energetic dog who loves to play so we’ve got more than enough experience with him alone. Our garden is fully fenced off and quite large so lots of space for your pets to run around! Matt works Monday to Friday whilst I’m currently on maternity leave. Our preference is to board on a weekend as we are both available to look after your pets. About: I have done pet sitting on and off as a side project for many years, including while living in Los Angeles, as you can see from my profile. I had been travelling and pet sitting until recently settling in Sheffield. I work from home and love having animals around. I don't have any pets of my own because I travel intermittently, so I enjoy looking after other people's pets when I can. There are several large parks near the house which are excellent for long walks where needed. While I am mostly at home, I do go out from time to time, so primarily sit for animals who are OK for up to four hours by themselves. I will do my best to check we have similar expectations before the sit begins. I work from home, so it's pretty easy to factor in any pet care routines and pick up and drop offs. I do have a back garden so there's some outside space here, and many parks close by for walks. I'm adjusting to pet sitting expectations in the UK so am prepared there may be slight differences to the US. I would usually expect that people bring their own litter tray for cats and poo bags for dogs but if that is unusual let me know. I have a relaxed home, animals are welcome on furniture, but of course if that clashes with home realities and you would prefer they don't, just let me know.

About: Your dog will be in experienced hands: I trained our pet Spaniel when I was a teenager and have had my own cats and dog ever since. My own Labrador, Dexter, will keep your dog company during their stay. I toilet and crate-trained him from twelve-weeks old, and since then taught him off-lead recall and on-lead courtesy (less pulling). Dogs hosted so far have joined me on day trips by train to other cities and come out in the Peak District with Dexter to enjoy nature hiking. To ensure the best experience and compatibility, we'll do a meet-and-greet between Dexter and your own dog, to make sure your dog's stay maximally enjoyable. I'm currently writing-up my PhD so love hiking in the Peak District with Dexter (and giving him opportunities to swim) every few days, so high energy dogs in need of long walks are welcome. My home is spacious with plenty of areas for your dog to relax or enjoy. And I'm home full-time during sits or boards.

About: I always wanted dogs growing up, and have often cared for friends’ pets when needed, and when I moved to Whiston I finally got the chance to have one full time - my ex-partner’s family dog needed to move, and we took him in. As we’re no longer together I don’t have him any more, and I would love to be able to give the care and attention to pets who need a home from home. I’m comfortable administering mediation (the dog mentioned took 4 different tablets, twice a day) and promise to always provide them with as many walks, playtime and treats as they want (treats within moderation obviously)! My work is hybrid so I’m able to be at home a lot, and I would never commit to taking in a pet if there was a chance I couldn’t be at home with them all the time. When working from home I can be flexible to ensure I can match your pets normal routine as closely as possible. They’ll also provide me with the perfect distraction to procrastinate! Although the back garden is unfenced, I would never leave your pet there unsupervised. I do have a fenced and gated front driveway. I would stick to your usual routine as closely as possible - pets are allowed wherever they are comfiest in my house, so they’d have full and complete roam of the house to make sure they found their most comfy spot! I’ll send photos and updates every day to let you know how they’re doing and what we’ve been up to for your peace of mind!

About: I've studied animal management at college which I hold a HND (Higher National Diploma) qualification for. I did animal behaviour, training, welfare and ethics etc. I did work experience in a kennels, so I am used to dog walking, cleaning up after dogs, feeding etc. I can work with senior animals, adults, puppies etc. I work with dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles and invertebrates. I work part time as a carer at my home for my autistic brother. In someone else's home I'd keep windows shut, doors locked unless going out, and only walk your pets in areas you advise as safe for peace of mind.

Gypsy is an expert in cat care, with a lifetime of general cat care experience and over 15 years in cat rescue and rehabilitation. This means she can administer medication expertly, is patient and understanding of timid and nervous cats, and skilled in feline health and hygiene. Having also previously volunteered at a number of veterinary clinics in and around Birmingham before she moved to Yorkshire, she also has experience in caring for rodents, birds, reptiles and some farm animals. She will travel anywhere for the chance to look after animals, and we have our own car. Mark is a gentle giant, retired and adores all animals regardless of their species. He is more the playful-spend-time type, while Gypsy takes care of the animal's needs (food, litter trays, hygiene care etc). He keeps a calm head in stressful situations, can deal with small handy-man type jobs, and also has a lifetime experience with a variety of animals including cats and avians. Both of us are non-drinkers and non-smokers. We don't eat meat, so we won't be preparing or bringing meat into your home except for your pets or upon your request. We will observe and respect any religious requirements when in your home, and we both enjoy exploring and seeing new places. We're a very quiet couple. rarely having the TV on if at all, unless the pets need this as some do. There won't be any issues with noise from us in regards to neighbours, thin walls and nervous animals. We can provide an up to date DBS check upon request. We have a large SUV, perfect for any size dog and multiples. We have reputable seatbelt-harness straps but feel free to provide your own for peace of mind. We carry a pet safe first aid kit that we've built up ourselves, with pet-safe antiseptic and bug repellents, just in case of any oopsies or frolicking in the irresistible long grass. We are very cautious with walks with long grass in the spring and summer, however, and we thoroughly check any pets in our care for ticks daily and after walks. Gypsy holds diplomas in Animal Psychology, and, Petsitting and Dogwalking. She is working on a Level 3 Animal Care course from Oxbridge. We are making our way in the world by offering exceptional petsitting and housesitting services. Petsitting IS our routine, with one of us being retired (Mark) and the other petsitting professionally, we have teamed up to make a fantastic team. We both have bags of patience and understanding, both educationally and practically and, if we may say so, through pure common sense. We will follow your instructions to the letter if you have a specific routine, or, we will learn your pet's language fast enough understand *their* routine. Rest assured, discretion is at the heart of our mission. Sensitive information of any kind will not go beyond us, messages will be taken discreetly without informing the other party of your absence. We have experience providing discreet and reliable pet care services for high-profile clients, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Also - Gypsy loves jetwashers. About: I have a pet dog who we raised back home in the south who I raised since he was 6 weeks. We trained him to do above average levels of commands until his illness took root and we had to reduce the exercise he had. But always able to provide fun and friendly care for animals! About: Both myself and my partner Matt have grown up with dogs all our life. Up until August 2025, we also had a Samoyed who unfortunately passed away. Max is a highly energetic dog who loves to play so we’ve got more than enough experience with him alone. Our garden is fully fenced off and quite large so lots of space for your pets to run around! We also live close to Waverley lakes so have lots of great walks nearby! We already walk Max each day so what’s the harm in one more!? We have an 12 year old son who absolutely adores animals so is very excited to join us on this venture and give your pet all the love! We also have a newborn baby. Currently Matt works Monday to Friday so ideally we keep to boarding on the weekend so that we are both available for your pets. I am currently on maternity so I’m happy and available to do drop in visits and walks during the week. Myself & my partner Matt will be looking after your pets so you’ll have both of us to provide that extra care. Feel free to ask any further questions you need! Matt works Monday to Friday whilst I’m currently on maternity leave. Our preference is to board on a weekend as we are both available to look after your pets. I am available for drop in visits throughout the whole week. We have a secure garden and we have a dog to offer your pet lots of play time if wanted! We are happy to crate your dog if needed but you will need to provide the crate.

Love walking, love petting animals Cat is very placid and would be great, if the dog or cat is fine with cats.. looking forward to taking good care of your animal.. giving it lots of fuss and attention and nice walks. My cat is called kitty she’s a Turkish angoran and just loves sleeping a lot, and chilling out. She is totally fine with other animals.. We also used to have a Welsh cocker called scooby, who was very lively, and loved walking for miles... About: I’m Tash. I have been around dogs since a young age and have genuine love for animals. I am active and understand the importance of routine and exercise. I have been around lots of spaniels and frenchies mainly. I can provide a hour walk on the morning before I go to work, I get a 1 hour break so will pop home (live 10 minutes from work) take your dog for a walk/ toilet and then evening walk! On the weekend, let’s so wild and get out all day 👌 We are outdoor people and often get out for walks and would welcome your dog to join us. I live in an apartment, it does have a garden that can be used.
