Lauren was absolutely lovely with my Naala, she came to meet her beforehand and jot down any special instructions. She sent lots of pictures and videos during the visits and spent time fussing over Naala, who was happy and relaxed when I got home. Can't recommend Lauren enough!

About: I am an animal lover, I have previously worked in a family ran kennels. I also have my own experience with owning a mixed breed reactive dog. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. As a pet owner myself, I plan my day around making sure my pets are fed, exercised, and given plenty of attention and enrichment. This makes it easy for me to fit caring for other pets into my schedule. I always follow each pet owner’s routine and instructions to make sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, ensuring they have fresh water, meals on schedule, exercise and playtime. I have had previous experience working in a family run kennels working with a range of breeds and temperaments. As I’m currently looking for my next job opportunity, I have a flexible schedule and excellent availability, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. This means I can be reliable, accommodate a variety of booking times where possible, and ensure your pets are never rushed during visits.

Amazing over all. Megan came to see Nova before I left, and put me very much at ease about the whole process. She managed to get him to come and say hello during her visits which as nova is a very shy cat I was extremely impressed with. Good pictures and updates sent on both visits, over all very happy :)

Mason was incredibly helpful, stepping in to take care of our cats on short notice while we dealt with a family emergency. He was very capable and gave us regular updates to let us know the cats were fine which was very important to us as we didn’t have the mental space to be worrying about them as well. Our cats are a little skittish, and he managed that just fine, making sure that they were well cared for.

About: Hi! If you’re looking for care for your dog that is like your own, look no further. I run a dog waking business in the Rotherham area (Meg’s mutts- dog walking and pet services on FB) I have had experience with a variety of different animals from dogs and cats to bearded dragons and rats. I have experience with most breeds of dog. I currently own a Labrador, a border collie and a lab x collie so I am experienced in caring for and stimulating high energy dogs. I am completely available for dog care as this is now becoming my full time role. The only limitations I have are around school pick up and drop off times and during school holidays I may need to bring my son on walks with dogs that are child friendly, if anyone would be uncomfortable with this I would be able to make alternate childcare arrangements. I can provide care for your pets in their own home. I am DBS checked as before my current role i was a support worker in the community so i am familair with the use of keysafes etc.

About: I’ve had dogs of one sort or another all my life. They have been my constant source of support, company and joy. Now retired after years working from home I am walking dogs for those that need help and support. I am now retired, after years of working from home and looking after the family’s various dogs, cats and assorted weird and wonderful pets. As a retiree, I really don’t have a schedule. As always my dogs dictate my day and we try to be flexible with each other. I really am free to meet the needs of my customers and will always negotiate a way to help. My dogs and cats share my home. I keep them fed and watered and cared for and loved. I consider them my friends and family. I will treat your animals with the same care and consideration.

About: I’ve grown up with animals and currently have one dog and three cats, so caring for pets is just part of my everyday life. I’m used to the little messes, the different personalities, and the routines that come with them, and I genuinely enjoy it. Being around animals feels natural to me, and I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable handling whatever comes up. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’ve recently graduated from university and am currently based at home, which means I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available throughout most of the week and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to caring for pets, whether that’s regular check-ins, longer stays, or last-minute needs. While I’m not able to board pets in my own home, I’m very happy to care for them in the place they feel safest in your home. I understand how important it is for pets to stay in their usual environment and routine, especially when their owners are away. I can stay in your home to provide consistent care and companionship, or carry out regular check-ins to make sure they’re fed, comfortable, and doing well. I’ll always treat your home and your pets with respect, and make sure you feel updated and reassured while you’re away.

Full Time Pet Professional.
I have got the patience and the expertise. I'm a Sheffield local of 12 years with a lifelong passion for animal care and a big heart currently missing a canine companion. My deep understanding and love for pets comes from years of hands-on experience. Back in Italy, my family's American Pitbull Terrier, Khabib, was my energetic best friend. We'd enjoy multiple walks daily, often covering 3-4 miles at a time to satisfy his wonderful, lively spirit. I truly miss those walks. I'm also experienced with cats, having cared for our two majestic Maine Coons, Lilith and Satanas. This included daily playtime, gentle brushing, and all the affection they could handle, they always chose my bed to sleep on at night! The main goal with dogs is to know what’s their motivation, it can be the ball, food or something else once you gain control of that your are the Boss, Dogs needs constant leadership in the young ages, and I’m very good instructing discipline and reward their good behaviour with certified first quality treats. Will offer energetic, long walks tailored to your dog's needs, or slow calm strolls to the old or perhaps not so sporty friends. Loving care, playtime. A natural, calming bond animals sense my genuine care and feel at ease. Bonus: As a photography enthusiast, I love capturing pets in their element. I'll happily provide free, beautiful snapshots of your pet enjoying their time with me. Driven by a childhood dream of becoming a vet, my greatest joy is ensuring animals are happy, healthy, and thriving. I would be honoured to provide trustworthy, enthusiastic care for your beloved pets. Ready to give your pet a new best friend for walks and cuddles? Get in touch

About: I’ve had cats for most of my life, and although I sadly lost them, I’d love the chance to give that love and care to other people’s pets. 🐾 I’m a big animal lover and enjoy spending time with cats, dogs and all kinds of pets. I’m available for dog walking, cat sitting and pet visits in the evenings and at weekends. I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel happy, safe and cared for. 😊 I work a 9-5 job but I work from home Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays so free evenings and weekends or as early as 4 o clock :) I offer dog walking, cat and dog sitting in your home, and can also look after pets in my own home where suitable. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pets with someone new, so I’ll always take the time to get to know their routine, personality and little quirks 🐶🐱 When caring for pets in your home, I’ll keep things as familiar as possible for them — making sure they’re fed, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, playtime and cuddles, and feel happy and comfortable while you’re away 💕 If they’re staying in my home, I’ll provide a safe and calm environment where they’ll get lots of care, attention and love 🏡🐾 I’ll always follow your instructions and make sure your pet’s needs come first. About: I am a huge dog lover and have been taking care of them professionally for the last few years but have had pups my entire life. I have lots of experience of walking and caring for all different kinds of doggos, big and small, with various needs and personalities. I promise to care for your fur babies as I do my own, with lots of love and play and will give them a home away from home where they can relax and feel comfortable. I’m currently fully available for walks any day of the week. Whether this be for a regular same time walk or a last minute one off. I would treat your pets just like I treat my own, with lots of love and play. I am used to caring for dogs of all ages, I recently lost my Peaches at the age of 12, she had a push chair and needed extra time on her walks. Whilst my Pru at age 3 and Folly at 10 months are both full of energy and zoomies.

Elena responded very quickly to our enquiry to look after our cat Rosy while we were on holiday, and was proactive about understanding Rosy’s needs and routine, asking insightful questions. We received many photos and notes while we were away, which gave us plenty of assurance that Rosy was being cared for very well. We returned home to a happy and content cat! Elena patently loves cats and can be trusted to look after them - can definitely recommend!

About: I provide reliable dog walking and overnight pet sitting focusing on calm, structured care, maintaining routines, and lots of love. I am available for early morning walks, evening walks, overnight stays, and flexible weekend care. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, including larger and energetic dogs, and I am confident following individual routines including feeding, medication, and structured care. I work best with dogs who are comfortable with a morning/evening routine rather than constant daytime supervision (7am–6pm weekdays not available due to existing work commitments). Regular updates and communication are always provided, and I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. Whether you need a reliable dog walker, cat sitter, or someone to check in on your pets while you’re away, I’ve got you covered. I love long walks, cuddles with furry friends, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and cared for. I’m fully DBS-checked through my full-time role, and will bring the same professionalism, responsibility, and reliability to every pet I look after. At home, I have three cats of my own, and grown up with a variation of different dogs, from Dobermans to Jack Russels, so I completely understand how much your pets mean to you 💕 🕒 My Availability Before 7:30am: Quick morning walks or feeding visits Weekdays: House sitting available if pets are comfortable being left during working hours (approx 7:30am–5pm) After 5pm (Mon–Thu): Evening walks or drop-ins Fridays after 3:30pm: Extended walks or pet sitting Weekends: Flexible for walks, sitting, or overnight stays 💬 A Little Extra I’m patient, calm, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ll treat your pets like my own and keep you updated with photos and notes after every visit 🐾 When caring for pets in their own home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their familiar environment. I follow each owner’s routine closely, from feeding times and walks to medication and play, so everything stays consistent while you’re away. I’m fully DBS-checked through my full-time role, which is security focused, which means I take safety and trust very seriously. I’ll never share your personal details or access areas of your home unnecessarily. During visits, I double-check doors and gates are secure before and after walks, ensure water bowls are full, and always tidy up after pets. I send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. At my own home, I maintain a calm, pet-friendly environment with plenty of enrichment and affection for my three cats, so I completely understand how important it is for your pets to feel loved and secure.

About: Both myself and my partner Matt have grown up with dogs all our life. Up until August 2025, we also had a Samoyed who unfortunately passed away. Max is a highly energetic dog who loves to play so we’ve got more than enough experience with him alone. Our garden is fully fenced off and quite large so lots of space for your pets to run around! We also live close to Waverley lakes so have lots of great walks nearby! We already walk Max each day so what’s the harm in one more!? We have an 12 year old son who absolutely adores animals so is very excited to join us on this venture and give your pet all the love! We also have a newborn baby. Currently Matt works Monday to Friday so ideally we keep to boarding on the weekend so that we are both available for your pets. I am currently on maternity so I’m happy and available to do drop in visits and walks during the week. Myself & my partner Matt will be looking after your pets so you’ll have both of us to provide that extra care. Feel free to ask any further questions you need! Matt works Monday to Friday whilst I’m currently on maternity leave. Our preference is to board on a weekend as we are both available to look after your pets. I am available for drop in visits throughout the whole week. We have a secure garden and we have a dog to offer your pet lots of play time if wanted! We are happy to crate your dog if needed but you will need to provide the crate.

There are 1,555 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Rotherham. About 92% of Rotherham sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
