“Nicola regularly walks our sausage dog Clive , she is very reliable and always so lovely. We feel very lucky to have Nicola and Clive loves her! Clive has recently had surgery which has meant there’s been lots of extra requests we have had for Nicola during her visits and she has been so kind and accommodating every time! We cannot recommend Nicola enough!”

About: I’ve been caring for friends’ and family members’ pets for over 5 years, building up plenty of hands-on experience with both cats and dogs. I have a real passion for animals and I’m a proud cat owner myself. I love spending time outdoors, so I’m always happy to take dogs on walks, including longer, high-energy outings. At weekends, you’ll often find me out on hikes, which makes me a great match for active dogs who need plenty of exercise and stimulation. I take my friends spaniel quite often on long walks, have him for sleepovers and I love building a bond with dogs and fitting them into my routine. I’m reliable, caring, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I currently work full-time, but I’m looking for something else in my life where I can help out and spend time with dogs. I’ll do my best to be available if you need me at specific times, though I do work from 8:30 to 5, however I do have the option to work from home if needed. I live in a semi-detached terrace house with a fenced garden. The stairs are quite steep, so any dog allowed upstairs would need to be able to manage them. There are plenty of nearby walking routes, and I also have a cat who is comfortable with dogs once she gets to know them - so a dog with prior experience around cats would be ideal.
About: I adopted a rescue German Shepherd cross 2 years ago and trained him from 5 months old. I love all animals and feel they should have the chance to live life to the fullest. With me your dog will have adventures, fun walks and play, socialisation with my dog, and a cosy place to relax. I am a full time dog walker and boarder. I provide solo and group walks, day care and boarding to give you peace of mind and your dog the best experience. I have a fenced garden and lovely walks along the canal. Merlin (my dog) is here to keep your fur baby company. I have separate rooms for if your dog needs some space. Dogs are allowed on furniture for cuddles and lots of treats and toys for fetch, tug and chewing.
“Great experience. Mel looked after Harry in my house for a 60-minute drop-in visit. Did a meet and greet beforehand, responded quickly and kept me updated. Lots of photos of Harry too. Definitely recommend.”

“Meg looked after Rocky as a drop in over this weekend. Meg communicated to us during the visit & sent photos of a very relaxed dog. Feel very confident with Meg for her next booking which is overnight with Rocky.”

“Lucy is always amazing with my dog Rufus on all the many visits over the years He is a grumpy old man who just loves to sleep but always loves Lucy's visits to see him, even if he doesn't like getting out of bed 😂 Thank you so much as always 💕”

“I highly recommend Larna. She was wonderful with my border collie and very patient with her , my pup is only 4 months old so as you can imagine she is extremely giddy 😆 and gets very excited around everyone especially new people. Larna came by for a drop in visit beforehand to meet Aurora, I felt confident everything would go well for their first walk. Aurora was very good for Larna although she does pull . Aurora is in the middle of training and Larna was continuing to follow through demand training. Thank you Larna”

About: I’ve been lucky enough to spend my life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes – from playful pups and cuddly cats to tropical fish, and even bees! 🐝 Animals have always been a huge part of my world, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I have hands-on experience looking after dogs, cats, and fish. I’ve also trained my own dogs, which means I understand how important patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are. Whether it’s a puppy learning the ropes, or an older dog who needs a gentler pace, I adapt to each animal’s unique needs. With bees, I’ve learned the importance of calm handling, respect, and attentiveness – skills I bring to all the pets I care for. Safety, trust, and making sure your pet feels comfortable are always my top priorities. Your furry (or finned!) family member will be cared for as if they were my own – with love, attention, and plenty of fun. A Day in My Care 🐾 • Morning Walks (7am – 9am): A refreshing start to the day with plenty of exercise, sniffing, and tail wags. Perfect for dogs who like to burn off energy first thing. Session length can be discussed. • Midday Visits (11am – 2pm): Feeding, toilet breaks, playtime, or a calm walk — tailored to your pet’s routine. • Afternoon Adventures (3pm – 5pm): Shorter walks as welcome as the longer ones, or quieter sessions in the garden depending on your dog’s needs. • Evening Check-Ins (6pm – 8pm): Dinner, toilet breaks, and some quiet companionship to wind down. Your pet’s safety and happiness always come first. I understand how much trust it takes to let someone else care for your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. • Safety: I keep walks controlled, calm, and enjoyable. I only use secure leads and harnesses, avoid unsafe areas, and always pay attention to your dog’s comfort and limits. It’s always good to get to know your dog beforehand so let me know what they’re like both inside and outside, any behavioural quirks or anything else you might think useful. • Trust: Animals respond best when they feel safe and respected. I will take time to get to know your pet’s personality so they can relax and enjoy themselves while you’re away. • Environment: I adapt to your pet’s routine and surroundings to reduce stress and keep things familiar. Walks can be energetic adventures or calm strolls, depending on what your dog needs. You can feel confident knowing your pet will be cared for with patience, consistency, and kindness — as if they were my own.

“Our first time using a cat sitter and Nicky was amazing! She went above and beyond, kept us updated daily, and our cat Moustache was so much happier at home than in boarding. Professional, friendly, and gave us real peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Jill was great. She was super communicative and sent photos and updates when you checked in on our 3 month old puppy. She met him prior to the visit and was kind and gentle with him. Wouldn’t hesitate about using her in the future!”

About: I'm Angel, founder of Woof & Whinny, based in Dronfield, Derbyshire. I grew up on a working livery yard in the Peak District and have been caring for animals my whole life — over 20 years of hands-on experience. At home I have my own active border collie, Mowgli, so I know exactly what dogs need to feel happy, safe, and stimulated. Whether it's a 15-minute potty break, a 45-minute adventure, a drop-in visit, or full house sitting, or day care, I tailor every visit to your dog's individual routine. I'm fully insured and DBS checked, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Woof & Whinny is my full-time job, which means I'm genuinely flexible and can work around your needs. Unlike sitters who fit pet care around a day job, I build my schedule around you — arranging dog walking, drop-ins, and house sitting at times that suit your routine. No rigid time slots, just reliable, dedicated care. Your pet's comfort and safety is always my priority. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I come to you — keeping your pet in the home they know and love, with minimal disruption to their routine. I'm fully insured and DBS checked, so you can relax knowing your home and your pet are in trustworthy hands. I treat every animal as my own, with the same care and attention I give to my border collie, Mowgli, every single day.

About: I grew up with dogs in our household and for the last 20 years I've had my own dogs but lost my last one, Sanza, a Toy Poodle, in June 2025. I dog sit two Dachshund sisters aged 15 regularly and enjoy it very much. I love dogs and would treat your dogs as if they were my own. Your pet's comfort, happiness and safety is my priority. I have experience of giving medication via injection as my dog was diabetic and had to have insulin injections twice a day as well as oral medication. I also have experience of looking after senior dogs as I have cared for dogs who are 14 and 15 years old. I am available to look after your dogs in my home or at your home so they have as little disruption to their routine as possible. I am retired so I'am at home all day so can look after your pets whenever you need me. I'm very flexible and can adjust my schedule to fit in around your needs. I have an enclosed garden which is fully fenced/ brick wall. The garden is very secure. I live in a semi detached bungalow so there are no stairs to climb. I have lots of toys for your dogs to play with. I am available to look after them in their own home or at my home. I am retired so I am around all the time to look after your dogs. I prefer to look after small dogs but will look after medium sized dogs as long as they walk well on the lead as I walk with a crutch so can't manage to walk large dogs who pull or lunge too strongly when they react to other dogs. I do not look after large dogs for safety reasons.

Melanies support in caring for my cat was fantastic, she attended each booking promptly and demonstrated care and respect in trying to optimise my cats wellbeing, often having to employ extraordinary strategies to encourage my cat to engage. Melanie sent reassuring messages and photos regards each visit. I would not hesitate in recommending Melanie to my friends and colleagues, fingers crossed that she will be available when next I need her service, cheers Melanie
Nicky has been our cat sitter several times now. She’s always been very reliable and already feels more like a friend than a sitter! A very trustworthy person, flexible, professional and caring. Just the qualities people hope to have in a sitter. We are very lucky to have someone like Nicky look after our cat. Thank you 🥰

Sharon was amazing! She really took her time and gave our cat, Boris a great fuss and made sure he was so well looked after whilst we were away for the weekend. She sent lots of pictures and such a detailed message from each visit to him! She really made us feel completely at ease, I would recommend her to anyone! Will definitely be booking again xx
