“Couldn't have asked for a better pet sitting service. Emily kept my cats fed, watered and happy whilst I was on holiday, and showered them with attention each day. Communication was excellent. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for pet sitting services”

“Nicola regularly walks our sausage dog Clive , she is very reliable and always so lovely. We feel very lucky to have Nicola and Clive loves her! Clive has recently had surgery which has meant there’s been lots of extra requests we have had for Nicola during her visits and she has been so kind and accommodating every time! We cannot recommend Nicola enough!”

About: Hi, I’m Jordan, a passionate and reliable pet sitter with extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. My journey as a pet sitter began through TrustedHousesitters, where I’ve looked after a wide variety of dogs (and other animals) across the UK and internationally. I understand that every dog has its own unique personality and needs, and I take pride in providing loving, attentive care that helps your dog feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I offer in-home dog sitting, which means your pet can stay in their familiar environment, stick to their routine, and enjoy plenty of companionship and affection. I’m calm, observant, and confident in handling everything from energetic pups to more senior dogs who just want a cuddle and a slow stroll. I do not currently offer boarding in my own home, and I’m happy to discuss any specific requirements – including vaccination status and medical needs – during our initial chat. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! I am happy send the link to my TrustedHouseSitters profile via message, Rover will not let me post it here. I work from home so am completely flexible in my routine and therefore am available every day of the week. I need to keep one eye on my work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and early afternoons, but I am flexible and never have to be in a meeting, so I will always be available. I can work remotely so I also do not need to be at home for this. My partner and I have completed over 50 five-star sits through TrustedHousesitters. We always treat homeowners’ pets and homes with the utmost respect, creating a calm, safe, and loving environment that helps pets feel secure while their owners are away. We follow routines closely, give plenty of attention, and stay mindful of each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s medication, quiet companionship, or energetic playtime. We also keep the home clean, tidy, and secure at all times, treating it as if it were our own. Over the years, we’ve made many wonderful two-legged and four-legged friends, and we’re proud to be sitters that both pets and people can trust. About: I’ve been caring for friends’ and family members’ pets for over 5 years, building up plenty of hands-on experience with both cats and dogs. I have a real passion for animals and I’m a proud cat owner myself. I love spending time outdoors, so I’m always happy to take dogs on walks, including longer, high-energy outings. At weekends, you’ll often find me out on hikes, which makes me a great match for active dogs who need plenty of exercise and stimulation. I take my friends spaniel quite often on long walks, have him for sleepovers and I love building a bond with dogs and fitting them into my routine. I’m reliable, caring, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I currently work full-time, but I’m looking for something else in my life where I can help out and spend time with dogs. I’ll do my best to be available if you need me at specific times, though I do work from 8:30 to 5, however I do have the option to work from home if needed. I live in a semi-detached terrace house with a fenced garden. The stairs are quite steep, so any dog allowed upstairs would need to be able to manage them. There are plenty of nearby walking routes, and I also have a cat who is comfortable with dogs once she gets to know them - so a dog with prior experience around cats would be ideal.
“Fabiana is so kind and professional; our dog is quite anxious around new people in our home and Fabiana has been very assertive this week, getting to know Lara before her drop in sessions. We’ll definitely be using Fabiana again ❤️🐕”

About: I grew up with dogs in our household and for the last 20 years I've had my own dogs but lost my last one, Sanza, a Toy Poodle, in June 2025. I dog sit two Dachshund sisters aged 15 regularly and enjoy it very much. I love dogs and would treat your dogs as if they were my own. Your pet's comfort, happiness and safety is my priority. I have experience of giving medication via injection as my dog was diabetic and had to have insulin injections twice a day as well as oral medication. I also have experience of looking after senior dogs as I have cared for dogs who are 14 and 15 years old. I am available to look after your dogs in my home or at your home so they have as little disruption to their routine as possible. I am retired so I'am at home all day so can look after your pets whenever you need me. I'm very flexible and can adjust my schedule to fit in around your needs. I have an enclosed garden which is fully fenced/ brick wall. The garden is very secure. I live in a semi detached bungalow so there are no stairs to climb. I have lots of toys for your dogs to play with. I am available to look after them in their own home or at my home. I am retired so I am around all the time to look after your dogs. I prefer to look after small dogs but will look after medium sized dogs as long as they walk well on the lead as I walk with a crutch so can't manage to walk large dogs who pull or lunge too strongly when they react to other dogs. I do not look after large dogs for safety reasons.
About: Hi, I'm Kelly, I work in the NHS and love animals! I have always had cats as pets amongst other animals - I currently have a cat and two miniature dachshunds! I absolutely love cats & dogs and have a passion for loving them (on their terms, of course!). I currently have my own cat called Will who was a stray cat but now has a loving home with her two furry dog sisters who she loves (more like tolerates...). I used to work with my mum who had her own pet sitting service and this is where I got inspired on caring for other people pets in their own homes whilst getting an extra pet-fix for myself. I would love to care for your beloved animals whilst you're at work, visiting friends/family or if you've gone away for a break. I'm happy to do whatever your pet(s) loves whether that's playing, cuddling, grooming or being fed and left alone. I have many years of experience having owned cats and dogs and worked with my mum as a pet sitter. I am happy to give medication if needed but we would need to discuss this prior to any booking. If you have any questions or queries I am more than happy to answer them I usually work four days a week but am able to visit early in a morning (before 8am) or in the evening and I'm also available on the weekend. There may be occasions where my little girl accompanies me (only if your pet is okay with small children of course) If you prefer for your pets to be crated I am happy to do this on leaving, also if you would usually leave them with toys such as kongs/snuffle mats/lickimats I am also happy to refill these prior to leaving

I attend multiple classes a week with my own dog for continued training and can continue the same methods with your dogs. I have experience looking after friends and families dogs/puppies large and small! I currently work a 9-5 job so have availability from 5pm-9pm Monday to Friday and full flexibility on weekends. I enjoy this job and will make time for your cat if I am needed - some flexibility is available. Your cats will be taken care of with the love, respect and care I would give my own. About: I am a compassionate, lifetime dog lover with extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments. Having recently cared for my own rescue dog until she passed at age 13, I am experienced in managing care needs—including mobility challenges, incontinence, and daily medication routines for senior pets. I understand how much gentleness, patience and attentiveness care rescue dogs need to feel safe and comfortable. My Experience & Skills = Professional Sitting: Previous experience as a professional nanny looking after family pets alongside children, as well as paid standalone pet sitting. All Sizes & Handling: Comfortable handling both small breeds and big, strong dogs who pull or walk rough on a leash. Flexible Schedule: I work remotely, meaning I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability during the day to keep your pets company, stick to feeding schedules, and give them the attention they deserve. I treat every dog with the same level of love and devotion as I treated my own, I miss her ever so much and would like somewhere to put some of that love and dedication now. I work remotely on my laptop with a highly flexible schedule, allowing me to easily fit pet care around my day. Because I can work from anywhere with Wi-Fi, I can stay at your home for house sitting without disturbing your pet's normal routine. I’m available for daytime drop-in visits, mid-day walks, and overnight stays, with complete freedom to give your pets frequent attention, play, and scheduled check-ins throughout the day. My priority is keeping your pets comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I treat every client's home with absolute respect, keeping it clean, secure, and quiet and have extensive experience doing this from my many years as a private nanny. I strictly follow your safety rules—whether that's double-checking gates and doors, managing leash safety during walks, adhering to precise feeding and medication instructions, or keeping a close eye on open windows for cats. Living alone and working remotely means I can provide focused, undivided attention and peace of mind while you're away.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats and been involved in looking after them since a young age. We’ve had lots of rescue animals and so have lots of experience dealing with shy and nervous animals. I work locally and from home through the week and manage my own schedule so can fit in visits around home life and work so can be quite flexible. I have a fenced back yard and locked gate and our house is at the end of a cul-de-sac so very quiet. The house has plenty of room inside for pets to play or have time on their own.
About: I have several years of experience with pets, mostly dogs but also small animals and cats. I have two family dogs that are working spaniels, so I’m used to high energy and finding ways to stimulate them! I also have experience with senior dogs and blind dogs, I am able to administer medication, give extra attention and any additional needs. I have also done volunteer days at different animal charities in which dog walking was a large part of - I have worked with dogs in muzzles, different behaviors and temperaments. Charity days also largely consist of cat sitting and socializing so I can also offer drop in visits to cats for playtime/feeding etc! This also applies to small animals - having two guinea pigs myself that are spoilt, I am more than happy to pop into your smaller pets for a check up / feed and snuggle! I work for a pet retailer, so my experience with pet handling and knowledge around pets is second to none. I would love to walk / pet sit during my time off as it fills my days! I do currently work in retail management. But would love the opportunity to start looking after pets with my time, I am quite flexible due to working shifts also. I can easily use a crate and have experience with crate training. The garden is secure and house is secure. I would recommend a good quality lead and harness for walks.

Sharon was amazing! She really took her time and gave our cat, Boris a great fuss and made sure he was so well looked after whilst we were away for the weekend. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
