About: Ever since I was a young girl, we have always had pets in the home. I prefer animals over humans any day! They're amazing, full of personality and best of all they bring a smile to the saddest of faces. I live in a lovely area, with a fenced yard at the front, I work from home so 9 times out of 10 your pet will always have the company of another person! My boy Simba is a kind, fun loving shepherd who can he rather bouncy at first, but will calm down and be your pets best friend! Considering I work from home, your pet will always have the company of another person. Unless I need to nip out for food etc. So I'm able to walk, and take care of your pet on a regular basis. I have Simba, who will happily be your dog's friend! If you'd like me to crate your pet, bring their crate too and I have space for it! Your pets will be fed as and when you'd like them to be. Toys, treats, poo bags are all thing we have here! So just bring your pet, their food and any home comforts they may need! I do a lot of work from home and enjoy spending time with dogs. Even if that's spending my lunch break taking care of your babies! Your property and pets are respected. That's my guarantee! Dogs will be walked thoroughly so you'll be given back a lovely tired Pup! I also allow for taking care of cats, if you need me to pop in and feed them or play with them, that's fine with me! I'd consider myself a trustworthy individual, there when you need it most
About: I work from home doing an admin based job, and I’d love to break my day up visiting and looking after peoples furry family members! I got my first pets at 13, two cats called Fifi and Coco, and they’re now 17 years old and living their best lives as the princesses of the family! I’m now 29 and I’ve now added two dogs to my family. I’ve got an almost 2year old Labrador called Bea and an almost 1year old Weimaraner called Bear. All of my furry family members are my chosen family and I don’t know what I would do without them! They are truly what makes me smile the most everyday! Although I have no formal training, I do carry out their nail clipping (both the cats and the dogs), brushing, grooming, medication administration, and ear and eye cleaning! I also shower my dogs at home, but the cats don’t appreciate it so they’re let off bath time! I have also looked after my friends dogs a couple of times on extended stays. They have a male and a female Weimaraner. But my latest stay consisted of house sitting whilst they went on holiday, and I stayed to look after their two adult dogs and five puppies, and I took Bea with me. So a whole week on my own with eight dogs!! I work for myself at home so my schedule is fairly flexible, I’m able to take on some same day bookings depending on my workload, but I would love to ‘collect’ some regular drop ins and dog walks to make my admin days more enjoyable and to get me out of the house and moving! I live in a 2 bed house, with a garden! I also live close to lots of local green spaces which my dog loves running round. My girl is dog friendly and calm natured so would be very happy to keep your dogs company on walks, but equally she’s happy to be left when needed!
“My first experience with a cat sitter, Julia did a splendid job, sending me constant updates and the cats seemed to take to her quite well, they can be very sceptical towards some people. Will definitely use her services again”

“Angela did drop ins for our two cats over Christmas and was amazing :) She managed to give our timid scaredy cat head scratches on day one which is a feat nobody else has managed! She is easy to talk to and sent loads of pictures and updates to us throughout the booking. I definitely recommend her and will not hesitate to book her next time.”

“Niki did a brilliant job with our two cats, Billy and Pablo. We gave her a challenging situation with an elderly cat who sleeps a lot and a young cat, who loves to play. She asked about their likes and dislikes and how they reacted with one another. Their strong food drive is their only shared trait and Niki fed them separately, in their favourite places, to prevent fighting. She sent photos and updates every day, and the cats looked happy and healthy when we got back. The house was lovely and tidy, too. We'll certainly rebook!”

About: Experienced Pet Care Visits. Loving care when you’re not there. I was bought up with a dog and several rescued cats, who all meant the world to me and shaped my love of animals. After setting up my first home, I had 4 house rabbits who I litter trained and allowed free roam of my home, like cats. I am now a proud rescuer of 6 dogs over the last 25 years, 5 Dalmatians of my own and another Golden Labrador cross Alsatian, who I co-ordinated the rescue and found a loving home for with one of my neighbours. My current two Dalmatians came to me through British Dalmatian Welfare who I also now volunteer for, and have recent experience of a home visit for potential adoption on their behalf. Over the last 10 years, my neighbours have relied on me to check in with, let out for toilet breaks, feed and play with their dogs, often for weeks at a time. The most recent stint was for 2 visits per day, 4 days/week, for 2 months. I am reliable, conscientious and trustworthy, and your pet’s needs and care will be my focus. I work from home and so can schedule home visits around my own working day. I would ideally like to expand my pet care services and hope to be able to offer more options in the near future. I’m comfortable with animals and find they respond well to me due to my caring nature. I would introduce myself to a new pet visit armed with treats and a gentle approach. Having rescued animals, I have experience of nervous pets and excitable ones, and understand how to put them at ease.
About: Hi! 👋 A little bit about me…I’ve grown up with animals in my life and have had pets since age of 5. Growing up on a farm, I’ve always naturally had an affinity for animals. I have experience looking after kittens, puppies, cats as well as dogs. I have been trusted to dog sit for friends and family for most of my adult life, but have been doing so professionally for the last few years. If you have any questions at all - feel free to message me. I currently work from home so have now got increased capacity to make weekly trips to look after other peoples pets. Hence I am opening my availability up to provide care for more pets. Caring for each pet is different and I am more than happy to meet requirements of each pet’s specific needs and routine alongside providing a watchful eye and fulfilling their personal interactive needs such as cuddles/petting, treats, and continuing their training as requested.
“Kristina was marvelous. She fed them and made sure they had all that they needed. Cleaned their litter trays. She played with them and brought them a new toy. She kept in touch with me to tell me how they were getting on. I am sure she spoiled them lots. I was able to relax and know that my kitties were being well looked after.”

“Lea was fantastic! She agreed to come and feed my 2 cats at late notice. Communication was swift and she was able to come over for a preliminary visit on the day that I booked. Lea was relaxed and clearly had my cats best interests at heart. I received photos and videos during every visit which was really great. Lea listened carefully to my instructions and was very clean and tidy, after her visits my house was exactly as I had left it and my cats were happy.”

“Megan looked after Boo today, freeing me up for a concert. Megan always gives Boo quality time: fuss and treats. I always feel confident with Megan that Boo is being properly cared for; understanding her particular needs.”

“Charlotte was great, really put me at ease whilst I was away as nothing was too much for her and her communication was great - exactly what you want to assure you that your kitties are in safe hands ☺️”

About: I've taken care of dogs of various breeds over the past 10 years. Neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I have experience in successfully training puppies and in senior dog care. I have a huge amount of affection, love, passion and energy to offer while caring for dogs. I have 2 cockapoos myself - a golden 6-year old called Teddy and a brown/white 10-year old called Paddy. They are both my pride and joy and the power they have to turn my day from negative to positive is so beautiful. It amazes me how intuitive, gentle and intelligent they can be! Alongside this, I have spent 8 years working in hospitality and healthcare (NHS). I am friendly, likeable, highly trustworthy, punctual and have excellent communication skills. But above all, I LOVE dogs!! I'm a firm believer that as a carer, I get just as much enjoyment and fun out of the experience as your beautiful dog! So, together, we'll be playing exciting games, sharing lots and lots of cuddles and going on many stimulating, adventurous walks with sticks, balls - you name it! I'm able to cater for slower dogs with a more chilled temperament, dogs with excitable, playful, energetic personalities - and everything in between! I’m currently studying for my Masters, however I have plenty of time to care for, walk and play with your furry friends! I’m predominantly available on weekdays (Mon - Friday), however I am occasionally available over the weekend too (e.g., every 1 in 3 weekends). I have a fenced garden and friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I could crate your dog if needed, however the crate would need to be provided.

Amber Valley cat owners share their Rover experiences
Megan has looked after my cat several times and I always feel very safe leaving him in her care. She closely follows the instructions for my cat's meal plan and leaves very thorough notes on how much he has eaten and his behaviour. I would absolutely recommend Megan to anyone who is looking for a kind and responsible person to care for their pets while they're away.

Kristina was marvelous. She fed them and made sure they had all that they needed. Cleaned their litter trays. She played with them and brought them a new toy. She kept in touch with me to tell me how they were getting on. I am sure she spoiled them lots. I was able to relax and know that my kitties were being well looked after.

My husband and I have recently moved into the area and were in need of someone to feed our lovely boy, Jack whilst we spent the weekend with family. Jack is our 9 year old cat who struggles with changes to his environment and the moved was a real challenge for him so we needed someone who was able to pop in to feed him and give him some attention whilst we were away. Evelyn was brilliant. She was able to give us the drop-in service Jack needed and both she and Amber struck up a connection with Jack straight away. He really loved having cuddles from them and enjoyed his playtime after being fed. We were also kept informed with photos and an update as to how Jack was, daily. We came home to a very calm and happy boy. Thank you Evelyn and Amber for all the care and attention you gave Jack.
