About: What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on pet care experience and professional veterinary training. I have my own two dogs, and my boyfriend has four, so I’m very comfortable caring for multiple dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’m currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Nursing, which means I’m constantly expanding my knowledge of animal health, behaviour, and wellbeing. I’ve also completed my placement year in a veterinary emergency hospital, where I cared for hundreds of cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, and medical needs. This experience has given me the confidence to recognise signs of illness, provide attentive care, and handle pets that may need extra support. Alongside my studies, I’ve provided pet sitting and dog walking services for several owners, including staying in clients’ homes to ensure their pets remain comfortable and settled in their usual environment. Above all, I genuinely love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, caring, and have my own car, allowing me to travel and provide flexible care in your local area. I’m at university so on my days off, I’d love to have the time to spend with your doggies. My availability will change depending on my personal schedule so check when i’m available! Your pet's safety, happiness, and routine are my top priorities. I always take the time to get to know each pet's individual needs, including their feeding schedule, exercise routine, medication requirements, and any special preferences. I provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, and companionship to help your pets feel relaxed and comfortable while you're away. As a Veterinary Nursing student with experience working in a veterinary emergency hospital, I'm confident caring for pets of all ages, breeds, and needs, and I'm able to recognise if something isn't quite right. When caring for pets in your home, I treat both your pets and your property with the utmost respect, keeping you updated with regular messages and photos for peace of mind. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for as if they were my own. 🐾

About: I have always been around dogs since I was born. I am well educated on how to recognise what a dog needs and how to care for them. As well as looking after my own dogs, I began frequently taking on pet-sitting jobs for my neighbours when I became old enough. I also participated in helping dogs train for agility competitions. I also have a lot of experience with having owned rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. I graduated university last year with a BSc in Psychology with Criminology, and I am hoping to use Rover to gain further experience with animals in a professional setting with plans that I will become a Clinical Animal Behaviourist in the future (after funding and completing my Level 7 qualification). I am likely free to look after your furry friend any time! I have a Level 3 CPD Accredited qualification for Animal First Aid and CPR, as well as an Enhanced DBS check, making me a reliable and safe option to choose when looking after your pets. I am also fully insured, and will listen and tend to any specific needs you may have for your animals when visiting your home to pet sit, do home visits or to take them on dog walks. They will always have all of my attention and love.

About: I’m a really caring, friendly and gentle person who absolutely loves both cats and dogs. 🐶🐱💕 I’ve grown up around lots of different dogs and have always helped with looking after and walking them, including Chihuahuas, Staffies, English/French Bulldogs, Labradors and Cockapoos. I’m used to all sorts of personalities, from calm and cuddly to super excitable and energetic! I also have cats of my own and absolutely adore them, so I love giving cats just as much attention and fuss as dogs. 🥰 I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own, with lots of love, cuddles, playtime and patience, making sure they feel safe, happy and cared for while you’re away. 🐾💕 Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life and is something I genuinely love doing, so pet care feels much more like a hobby than a job to me. 🐾💕 Pet care will be my main and only work priority, which means I can offer a very flexible schedule and dedicate plenty of time to your pets. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine and offer walks, home visits and lots of love, attention and cuddles. 🐶🐱❤️ My aim is to make things as easy and flexible as possible for you, while making sure your pets feel happy, safe and well cared for. I’ll always make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and cared for. 🐾💕 When visiting your home, I’ll respect your space and follow any instructions you leave for me, including your pet’s usual routine, favourite walking spots or anything they may need extra care with. I’m also happy to take pets out for walks and adventures, using my own initiative while always putting their safety first. I’ll keep you updated and make sure your pets receive lots of love, attention and reassurance while they’re in my care. 🐶🐱❤️

About: i’ve engaged with dogs from a very young age after owning two and also walking/dog sitting for neighbours and friends. I have worked voluntary previously and was so happy to be able to meet new dogs and take them out frequently I want to take up more frequent walking / dog sitting on friday, sat and sunday , and also evening walking to build my expertise and experience meeting with these lovely animals! I have a secure and fenced back garden as well as a very friendly small dog which is happy to get on with all sized dogs if they are friendly too! I also own a cat which is often outside but has no issues with dogs either

About: I’ve always had animals in my life—dogs, cats, and even exotics. In Spain, my family and I share our home with three dogs and four cats. I love being around them and truly understand their needs, routines, and little quirks. Right now, I care for many pets from friends and colleagues who trust me not only because I’m a vet, but because I genuinely adore animals. My home is a calm, safe space—no other pets or children—so your companion gets relaxed, one-on-one attention. Because I travel a lot and live on my own, I can’t have my own pets at the moment. That means I can give 100% of my time and attention to yours, treating them like family. By the way, I’m a qualified vet—so your furry (or scaly!) friends are in safe, caring hands. I work four days per week from 9 am to 6:00 pm, with weekends off. During working days, I am available for morning and evening care, and I can also use my break to check on or walk your dog if needed. On weekends, I have full availability and can stay with your pet, providing more consistent care, companionship, and attention. I don’t have pets of my own, so your pet will feel right at home with me and get all my attention and affection. They’re more than welcome on the sofa and bed, and I’m happy for them to sleep with me if that’s what they’re used to. I don’t have a garden, but there’s a park right in front of my home where I can take them for regular walks and fresh air. My home is very safe for cats, with no open windows and secure balconies. I always try to create a calm, cosy environment where pets can relax, feel safe, and be treated like part of the family.
“We returned to a very relaxed and happy cat. Catherine kept us updated daily. All was well. Would recommend Catherine and would be very happy to use her in the future. Thank you again”

“Elizabeth took care of our 2 cats whilst we were away. She was amazing, fantastic communication and kept us up to date. We received lots of photos. Would 100% recommend booking Elizabeth and we will definitely reach out to her again 🐈”

I work full-time as cabin crew, so my availability varies each month depending on my roster. I’m happy to discuss availability in advance and will always be honest about the dates I can commit to. About: I've taken care of pets since I was a small child. I grew up on a farm in the Peak District and was always surrounded by animals and nature. As an adult I have taken care of family dogs and cats when they have gone on vacation. I am teacher however during the school holidays I am not working and have availability to look after your pets. I have this flexibility to walk your dog or spend time playing and keeping your pet company. Please note that if you are booking to board on a weekend during term time, the Friday drop off will need to be after 4:30pm. And Sunday pick up will to be before 9pm. I have a high fenced garden, I don't have any pets currently living with me at home. My home is suitable for pets and all this not suitable will be locked away. The safety of your pet is my priority.
“I would highly recommend Maisie She is very caring & thoughtful and is a great communicator, implementing any suggestions and coming up with useful ideas to help My dog is a bit of a challenging rescue dog who I got in Dec 25, he doesn’t like strangers, loud noises, reflections etc yet every visit I see he’s made a friend in her through the reports & pictures (extra marks for bonus pics!)…. From parkour doggie to curling up on the sofa with her he’s come a long way Bonus- We even use BSL sign language with him as an additional way to communicate with him! I seriously wouldn’t have been able to have him if it wasn’t for her visits, thank you from the depths of my heart, Maisie”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have been horse riding since I could walk, and I’ve dreamt of being a Vet since I could talk. Although my career path has changed, my love for animals has not. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own, which I have had since they were babies, and now I am looking after them in their senior years. My dog currently has heart disease, due to genetic issues, so I am experienced in administering medication. My cat, although she is old, she is still as fiesta as ever. She has not taught me how to administer medication, but other skills such as patience. I’m currently working full time as an apprentice in supply chain compliance. This allows me to be flexible with my working as I am working from home majority of the week. I also have flexible working times so can finish my hours later/earlier than a rigid working week. My dog got a daily walk due to him being little and older, he doesn’t walk very far (he chooses when to go back). He suffered from heart disease- a genetic disorder, so I administered medicine to his twice daily every 12 hours. My cat on the other hand is very low maintenance, but loves a cuddle and spend majority of the day sleeping in my room.

Maisie was brilliant made us feel so at ease leaving lulu especially has we have never used the service before. The communication while we was away was great loved knowing how lulu was getting on and the photos was an added bonus. We will deffo be booking maisie again. Thank you again 💓
Lyndsey was absolutely fantastic with my cat, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. From the very beginning, she was friendly, reliable and clearly genuinely cared about him. She kept me updated throughout, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I especially appreciated the photos and little updates — it was lovely seeing him happy, relaxed and being well looked after. Lyndsey was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and settled. I could tell he really trusted her, which meant a lot to me as I’m always nervous about leaving him with someone new. I will definitely be using her again.

Mikki was very pleasant and communicated clearly. She sent regular pet updates, and jumped in to help with two pets that she was not booked to look after when our hamster-and-snake sitter let us down! She also brought food herself to give to a stray cat that we help feed locally. She couldn't have been more helpful, and I felt that our pets were really well looked after.
Isobel is great with Cookie. She is caring and friendly and Cookie loves her. I had no worries knowing that she is in good hands with Isobel. I will definitely ask Isobel to visit Cookie again when needed in the future (if she is able). She has looked after Cookie for 2 of our trips away. She is great :)

Lovely and reliable sitter. This trip has been cancelled but Katie did drop-in visits to look after our indoor kitties 🐱Lucy & 🐱Charlie on our previous trips. Such a relief to know they're on safe hands during our absence. Highly recommend Katie to any other cat owners.🐾🐱💕

Leah was amazing. Friendly and professional, was very good at communicating and sent great updates through the app. Our two lovely cats Were in great hands with Leah. 10/10 would definitely recommend and if we need a sitter again we will definitely be booking her in.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
