“Lauren was fantastic. Our older cat is very shy with most people but was very comfortable with Lauren. Always arrived on time, if not early, and left everything very clean and tidy for when we got back. Great communication as well. I would definitely book her again”

“Melissa and Sam looked after my two cats as if they were their own and took such nice pictures of them! Both cats really love them and were happy to see them again, thank you guys ?”

About: I am very kind and caring person. I grew up with a lot of nature and animals around. My mom and dad had a farm with cows, domestic birds, cats and dogs. I originally wanted to have a dog but did not want the dog to stay indoors while I’m at work all day so I ended up with 2 little kittens and I took in another 2 adult cats that needed home. I live on my own and I don’t have children so a lot of my energy goes into my cats. They are like my children sadly 😅 🥰 I have looked after my friends’ and my relatives’ dogs and cats. I would recognise if and when animal is anxious and would treat it with care and patience. I would not mind to take your dog for a walk or to make visits. It would be nice to meet new personalities and give them a little fuss 🥰🥰🥰 I work full time but I am very active and like to go for long walks outside my work hours during evenings or weekends. I love outdoors but I also like to chill out with my cats peacefully. I can only do dog walks or home visits for dogs or cats since I have cats and they would not get along with a dog or other cats unless introduced slowly. First of all, I would need to know if there are any specific details I need to know about your pet’s routine, diet, sleeping pattern or his/hers character 🥰
About: I’m dedicated to providing the highest quality care for each pet. I understand that every dog has its own unique personality and needs, and I always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness., I’ve owned dogs with a variety of breeds and temperaments, ensuring they get the right balance of exercise, attention, and playtime. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or an energetic run, I’m committed to creating a positive, fun, and fulfilling experience for every pet in my care. I currently work lunch time into evenings so I have plenty of time in the mornings to help out with walks/trainings between 6am-12pm within weekdays I provide a safe, welcoming home environment where dogs feel comfortable and secure. With plenty of space to relax and play, my home is designed to be having for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. In addition to offering a cozy place to stay, I also ensure every dog gets plenty of exercise and outdoor time with regular, energizing walks. Safety is always my top priority, so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands whether at my home or out on a walk.
“Ana was fantastic when we booked her last minute to look after our dog Tilly and cat Dottie,we feel confident and at ease that the would be looked after whilst we got married, will definitely book Ana again ☺️”

“My partner and I had never left our cat with anyone before and so we were super nervous to go on holiday, but Sarah was amazing at easing our minds. She sent us lots of updates to let us know how our cat was doing and made sure to play and engage with him when we were away.”

About: I’ve grown up around lots of dogs. My dads always had between two and six so as kid walking 3 white German shepards at a time was a good start. I’ve cared for 3 dogs the last two years walking them everyday, one being elderly and needing extra care. Whenever I’m out or round a friends house if there’s a dog I will be playing with it. I’ve been told and feel I have an affinity with dogs so making this a bigger part of my life would be a dream. Nearly 4 years ago I sold my place to move into a van this has allowed to follow my passion, dogs. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel when I’m out with a dog I get on well with. I feel I can communicate with dogs as many have told me I’m their best friend. Now summer is here I play cricket so Saturday day I will be unavailable. I’ve taken care of a wide range of dogs and understand their different needs. I’ve sat for an XL Bully to my dad’s six King Charles Spaniels. One of the dogs I walk I take for longer than I should but the dog needs it so she gets it. I speak to all dogs and feel that they understand the intent behind your words. I have lots of free time and I’m very punctual.
“Cloe was absolutely superb. She was good with the dogs and visited first to introduce herself to them. I had only booked the 2 dogs as I thought the big one might be too much of a hand full, but she bonded with him straight away. I’ll definitely be using her services again and it’s reassuring to know I can leave all 3. Couldn’t be happier with Cloe and especially as it was at such short notice.”

“Leanna was amazing with Kenzo! She kept us updated throughout with photos and messages, so we always knew he was safe and happy. We felt totally comfortable leaving Kenzo with her and trust her completely.”

About: We have both always loved animals and have grown up with dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of our lives. Amy previously worked in a cattery and kennels for around three years during busy holiday periods, helping to care for a range of cats and dogs. This experience built strong confidence in handling different breeds, personalities, and needs, as well as understanding how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Together, we regularly look after dogs and cats for family and friends, providing feeding, companionship, and drop-in visits when owners are away. We’re now offering cat and dog drop-in visits in our spare time because we genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure pets are happy, relaxed, and well cared for in their own home. We work from home so have availability to drop-in to care for your dog during the day, evenings & some weekends (although they do book up fast) We will tailor care to you and your pets needs, no two cats or dogs are the same so you can feel comfortable knowing we will care for your pets as you would. We will send photos each visit too :)
About: What sets me apart is my genuine care and attention to each dog’s needs. I treat every dog like my own, keep them happy and comfortable, and make sure owners feel at ease with regular updates. I’ve owned multiple dogs without my life and currently have a Labrador of my own. Pet care isn’t just a task — it’s a joyful part of my everyday life. Working from home allows me the flexibility to provide personalised drop-in visits for pets in the mornings and evenings. For Drop-In Visits: I follow the owner’s instructions closely—feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and any special care. I focus on giving pets companionship and mental stimulation to keep loneliness at bay.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young, and friends, neighbours and family regularly rely on me to walk, feed, bathe and play with their pets. I run my own pet care business, so I’m experienced with all temperaments, routines and needs. Your pet will always get patient, attentive and loving care. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care throughout the week. I’m available for drop-ins and walks most weekdays after 2pm, with full availability on weekends. I always make time to give pets proper attention, play and companionship — never rushed visits. I prioritise safety and comfort in every home I visit. I follow each pet’s routine closely, keep owners updated with photos, and ensure fresh water, clean spaces and supervised play at all times. I’m calm, confident with all breeds, and treat every pet as if they were my own.
About: I have owned dogs since 2017 and love them so much! They’re so pure and loyal and I’d love to help others look after their dogs after realising how hard it is to find good people to look after my pets when I was away! I have recently quit my job so have complete flexibility to come look after your loved ones when you’re away! I run a lot so if your dog likes a run we can do that too! I will look after your loved ones in line with your guidance, and with the love, care and attention that I would love my own dog!
“Ezra seemed so happy with Kate! She sent some lovely photos and he was very settled with her, which is really great as he can sometimes be a bit nervous with new people. I’ve already booked her in again! Thanks!”

“Jordan took perfect care of our cats including giving loxicom to our kitten who was recovering from her spay. Reliable and an obvious animal lover. Thanks for removing the stress of worrying about our cats!”

About: Zookeeper working with great apes with a passion for the outdoors and pets! I have 2 relevant animal degrees including animal welfare, clinical animal behaviour and training I have plenty of time for walkies (and treats), mostly in the evenings. Working throughout the day but can regularly visit home as I live on site at my work. I have a private apartment near to work, attached to enclosed fields in which the animal can enjoy. The apartment is cool and quite year round.

About: I have experience caring for dogs both in my own home and in their owners’ homes. While on a gap year in Melbourne, Australia, I looked after dogs in my home while their owners were away, ensuring they felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. More recently, I regularly care for a Cockapoo in the owner’s home while they are away, maintaining their usual routine and providing plenty of attention, walks, and companionship. I also have a lovely 10-year-old Sproodle at my family home, who I have helped care for since she was a puppy. She has given me valuable experience with the day-to-day responsibilities of owning a dog, from walks and playtime to feeding and providing lots of affection. She is very friendly and gets on well with dogs of a similar size. I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors and love going for walks, so taking dogs out for exercise is something I look forward to rather than seeing as a chore. My aim is always to make every dog feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while giving owners complete peace of mind. I also have had cats ever since I was born so I am used to caring for them, including feeding, litter care, and providing affection. Further experience comes from my job. I work in home care, where tasks regularly involve caring for our customers’ pets, particularly cats and dogs. I am a Nursing student, however I am on break until October so work part time in home care. My hours are flexible so I can fit in visits around pet care, depending on how long they can be left alone and how much attention they require. I always aim to make pets feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible by keeping to their usual routine. Before any booking, I like to learn about their feeding schedule, walking routine, favourite toys, any medications, and anything else that helps them feel at home. In my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment where dogs receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and cuddles. I never leave dogs alone for long periods and make sure they have fresh water, regular toilet breaks, and lots of company throughout the day. When caring for pets in their own home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I follow all instructions carefully, keep the home tidy, and make sure pets receive the same level of care and attention they’re used to. I know how important it is for owners to feel reassured while they’re away, so I’m always happy to send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is getting on.

Alice has done another brilliant job looking after our cat Archie. She spent so much time with him and provided daily updates including photos and videos which we loved. Archie is taking medication and Alice followed the instructions perfectly. Thanks again Alice! Archie will miss you
Lauren was fantastic. Our older cat is very shy with most people but was very comfortable with Lauren. Always arrived on time, if not early, and left everything very clean and tidy for when we got back. Great communication as well. I would definitely book her again

Lauren is fantastic! From the moment she visited us for the meet and greet we knew she was going to be perfect for looking after our cat Monty. Monty took to her straight away and during her drop ins, Lauren gave him so much love and attention, as well as updating us with photo's, videos and messages to let us know he was ok. We highly recommend Lauren and wouldn't look anywhere else for cat care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
