About: I’ve always been an animal person and have had all sorts of pets over the years, including Chow Chows, Labradors, Staffies, Huskies and cats, so I’m used to different personalities and energy levels. I’ve raised my own pets from puppies and kittens, and I’ve also adopted and rescued animals, which has taught me a lot about patience, care and really getting to know each animal as an individual. I’m genuinely caring and will always treat your pet like they’re my own. I’m not working at the moment, so I’ve got plenty of time and flexibility for walks, boarding or house sitting, and I won’t be rushing in and out. I’ve got experience with walking, boarding and looking after pets in their own homes, and I just want them to feel comfortable, safe and happy while they’re with me. I’m currently not working, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the week to dedicate to caring for pets. We often look after our neighbors’ pets and regularly take our own dog out for walks, which made me realize how much I enjoy spending time with animals and helping others with their care. I’m available every day except Saturdays and can offer a range of services including boarding, drop-in visits, walks, or anything else needed to make sure your furry friends are happy, safe, and well cared for. Whether it’s a quick check-in or longer stays, I’m here to help and treat your pets as if they were my own. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always follow any instructions provided closely to ensure each pet’s routine, diet, and preferences are maintained. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs, whether they require lots of play and stimulation, a calm and quiet environment, or something in between. I adapt my approach to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy at all times. I’m also flexible with timings and can work around busy schedules to provide reliable and convenient care. In my home, I can accommodate other pets either alongside my own husky—who is very relaxed and friendly with dogs, cats, and children—or separately if preferred. I have additional rooms and a secure garden, allowing me to tailor my services to suit different animals, temperaments, and situations.

“Tessa was wonderful with Toffee, she took the time for meet and greet and Toff loved her. She had a great time roaming around the house and playing in the garden with Tessa’s poodles. We had a nice holiday because we knew Toff was in good hands, we received photos and updates daily and saw how happy she was on walks and at home. I was searching for someone to allow doggies around the house and on sofa, not to put them in crates and found Tessa to be the perfect host for our little doggie. About: I am a student at the University of Nottingham studying Agricultural Business Management, giving me the chance to learn about animal care and nutrition. In preparation for this degree, I have also had expereince working in veterinary and day care settings, introducing me to real life animal care beforehand which i believe would be benefitial to my expereince. I am mostly home due to the freedom from long holidays and less packed teaching schedules which gives me plenty of time to provide company and care for your pets. Our fenced garden is quite large with both concrete and grass, providing plenty of space for toilet and entertainment. I am also able to administer basic medication for your pet if needed and have space for food storage in case of fresh food. We look forward to meeting your pet and would make sure they get the best care they deserve throughout the day ;) Im currently on summer vacation so spend a majority of my time at home, giving me plenty of time to spend with you pet and watching over them. i have a fenced garden and can have a medium crate at home if needed. doors and windows are locked with windows fenced with netting.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
