“Really happy with the service could not fault at all. We would get daily updates from Tia on how are dog (Kevin) was doing, daily pictures of him and being able to communicate with her if any problems (which there wasn’t) she was only a message away. It Made us feel very comfortable and safe about leaving Kevin with her which made our holiday a lot more enjoyable and worry free! We was abit nervous about leaving him because we have never left him before but she made us feel at ease and getting daily updates and pictures of him, it was lovely and we knew he was in good hands. Great price, great service I couldn’t recommend her enough. We will definitely be using Tia’s services again 👌🏼😊 be using Tia to look after our food in the future”

“Billie has really enjoyed staying with Caitlin and her lovely family. We will definitely place Billie with her again, it's so nice knowing she's being treated like part of the family.”

About: I have had my dog for 3 years. She was adopted from a shelter, so I learned how to properly care for rescue dogs and help them rebuild trust in people. This experience taught me patience, understanding, and how to respond to different pet personalities and needs. My friends trust me with their pets, and they are always very happy with the care and attention I provide. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet and give them lots of attention throughout the day. I provide overnight stays and flexible care whenever you need it, making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. In my home, I have one friendly dog who will happily keep your dog company. I also have a large garden where dogs can play and relax safely. I go on frequent walks, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, attention, and outdoor time during their stay.
“Olivia’s communication on here was friendly and prompt so it was no surprise to find that she was lovely in person too. She made me feel relaxed straight away about leaving my dog Dexter, especially as it was the first time as she was helping me out last minute. Thank you Olivia, I would definitely recommend :)”

“Maria home boarded our Labrador and she was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable, caring, calm and you can instantly tell she loves animals! Our lab had the best weekend meeting new doggy friends and playing. Maria is fantastic at giving regular updates and responded immediately to any questions you have! We have definitely found our new home boarder in Maria. Thankyou”

“Thank you so much, Piotr, for accommodating Blessing. Piotr and Dominika are a lovely couple and took exceptional care of him. I was always kept informed and received photos of Blessing, which really reassured me. It was Blessing’s first night boarding and he was understandably nervous, but Piotr and Dominika were calm, patient, and very understanding. They always put Blessing’s comfort first. They also thoughtfully adapted how they gave him food and water, thinking outside the box to suit his needs as a blind dog. I truly appreciate your patience and kindness. Thank you so much.”

“Dominika was great with our dog and I would not hesitate to recommend her. Communication was excellent and it is clear our dog was very well cared for and looked after whilst we were away.”

“Shani looked after our boy like he was her own . Could not fault communication was wonderful. Rex can be difficult and Shani knew how to cope with a boisterous dog ! Would use again.”

“Hannah was lovely with Izzy, she took to her straight away and I had no worries about leaving Izzy with her. We needed someone short notice and Hannah was happy to accommodate wasting no time with replying and sorting a meet and greet. Hannah treated Izzy like her own and kept me up to date with how she was and sent me photos to reassure me. She gave her lots of cuddles and time. Her partner was also great with Izzy. Hannah has a small dog Frank that is very friendly and gets on well with other dogs and was great company for Izzy. I would highly recommend Hannah for a home from home service.”

“Sharon and the family were brilliant. We have two rescues, one of which is very shy and quite strange, and they were all fantastic with them both! Could totally tell they were both just happy and relaxed, and really enjoyed their time with the family. They will definitely be coming back to stay!”

“Bethany really looked after our cockapoo well, he was welcomed into their home and we were kept updated with regular pictures. He looked right at home! 💙. I would definitely trust her to look after him again. Thank you.”

It was such a wonderful stress free stay for Alex over Christmas...Damian kept sending updates and photos throughout his stay. He even made Christmas dinner for Alex apart from keeping track of his usual requirements... Alex came back super happy and relaxed Definitely would want to repeat Damian again..

The BEST dog sitters we’ve ever had. Provided plenty of updates, seemed to really enjoy Lyra being there. Genuinely lovely people with a big garden for Lyra to have a run in. They even let us drop her travel crate off a day early so I wasn’t having to stress about setting it up in the mornings I was leaving. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Could not thank Rachel enough! Last minute I needed someone to look after my Corso, even though I was nervous due to how anxious she is, Rachel assured me she was in great hands and with the updates she gave me just made me smile seeing she has made best of friends with her baby’s🥰 100% recommend Rachel and will be using again! 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Liv and her partner Josh are simply the best carers you could wish for. We are so happy and glad we found them. They looked after our fur baby girl for 11 days. They sent us pictures, videos and daily updates. We asked for meet and greets prior to long duration and they were so accommodating. Our girl was smiling and happy in all her pictures just like when we take them. Safe to say our baby girl had her head looking out the hatch window of the car all the way home. She loved her time with them and we will certainly be using them again :-)

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
