“Alfie absolutely loves staying with Leanne and her family. The photos and updates Leanne sends always show how much fun he is having with Tilly. He misses his little pal when he comes back home. We are so grateful because we know he is well loved and cared for while we are away.”

About: Hi, I’m Beth! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and couldn’t imagine life without them. Growing up, my family had a Deerhound, a Whippet and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, so I’ve had experience with dogs of all different breeds, sizes and personalities from an early age. Today, I have two much-loved French Bulldogs, who are very much part of the family. Alongside caring for my own dogs, I’ve been looking after other people’s dogs for some time through both repeat customers and overnight stays, giving me experience with a wide range of temperaments, routines and individual needs. Building trusting relationships with both dogs and their owners is one of the parts of the job I enjoy most. I understand that every dog is different, so I always take the time to get to know their personality, routine and any specific requirements. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, sniffing every hedge along the way or simply relaxing with plenty of fuss, I’ll make sure they receive the care, attention and affection they deserve. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medication (if required) and any special instructions, so they feel as comfortable and settled as possible while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated throughout every booking with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is safe, happy and well cared for. I’d also be delighted to arrange a free meet and greet before your first booking, giving you and your dog the chance to get to know me and make sure we’re the perfect match. From August I am available through the day and evenings to look after your pets. I can come to yours or I have a large secure garden they can stay at mine at during the day whilst I’m home. I have a long garden that is fully fenced off and I live down the road from two different parks. There are many walks around where I live also
“Wish we could give 10 stars! What can we say about Steve and his care of our precious but super lively bundle of fun? From the moment we contacted Steve, he has been great at communication, we had an initial meeting- within seconds we could tell Steve is a man who loves dogs. The outstanding behaviour of his own dog, Laszlo shows he has great knowledge. When Storm stayed with Steve for a week, we had regular, twice daily updates, photos and videos, and could easily tell the our Storm was content and having a great time. Without any doubt at all we will ask Steve to step in again when we are looking for someone to look after our boy, I have total confidence in him and his family, who all welcomed Storm into their home. Thanks, Steve, it has made all the difference going away feeling confident our boy will be having a great holiday too!”

“Rubble was relaxed and well looked after, we were kept up to date throughout and Caitlin was super attentive to messages before and during his stay. Would definitely book again!!!”
“Adrian & Mirela took great care of my dog Eddie. My dog is nearly 16 and has a quite strict diet at the moment, which Adrian & Mirela followed to the letter. They sent me pics and videos whilst I was away which was lovely to see. I totally recommend this lovely and kind couple as nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend them 🐾”

“This was our first time using a dog boarding service and we were very happy with the service provided by Piotr and Domenika. Both were very keen to understand the habits of our dog, particularly focusing on feeding, walking and sleep patterns. They answered all our questions clearly and were very reassuring that everything was going to be OK during Lola's visit. Piotr and Domenika do not own a dog themselves but are very experienced with dogs. We saw this as an advantage as it meant our dog would get their full attention, and there wouldn't be any rivalry between other dogs in the house. They only keep one dog at a time, so this was perfect for us. They sent pictures and updates via the app giving further reassurance, and Lola was delighted to see us when we collected her, but we know she had a great time staying with this lovely Polish family. We wholeheartedly recommend this boarder and will gladly use them again for our next holiday.”

“Billie had such a lovely time at Barbara’s. Her and her partner treated her like their own doggy and Billie was very comfortable being at theirs. We will not go to anyone else from now on and Billie has their own personal nanny ❤️ thank you loads”

“Maria was fantastic. It was the first time boarding for our dog, and Maria made sure everything went smoothly - he had a great time, loved the engagement with the other dogs (I think he's more social with other dogs in the park now than before his week with her 😂), and came back a very, very happy boy. It's clear she knows and understands what's required to put dogs at ease in a new environment and with new playmates, which was awesome. It was extremely hot during our dog's stay with her (he's 37kg and black with thick German Shepard fur, so can get pretty hot) but Maria is more than prepared for such things! Her setup gives dogs plenty of outdoor time, including access to a paddle pool at all times during the heat, which was perfect. I'm sure she faces down other (weather-related) challenges equally well. Maria kept us updated through our dog's stay with pictures and updates, and was very responsive both before and during our stay. 5/5 - would love to have her look after our boy again in the future if she'll have him!”

“Cant thank Elizabeth and her lovely family enough for taking great care of our dog lula, she had a lovely time and was kept entertained by there 3 adorable girls, they sent lovely photos and updates throughout her stay which was really nice , we will definitely be getting lula booked in again 😊 thank you Elizabeth Gareth and girls xx”

“Ewa has looked after our puppy whilst we were on holiday. We found her to be very flexible and accommodating. We received regular updates whilst she was there and we could tell that she had been well looked after Would definitely use her again”

“Toby had a wonderful stay with Dominika & Peter and not forgetting Mimmie 😀 I was kept updated with regular pictures & messages which allowed me to be completely relaxed on my vacation. I would not hesitate to use again in the future A credit to ‘Rover’ Thankyou all again 🐾🐾”

“Sharon and the family were brilliant. We have two rescues, one of which is very shy and quite strange, and they were all fantastic with them both! Could totally tell they were both just happy and relaxed, and really enjoyed their time with the family. They will definitely be coming back to stay!”

“Willow has had a three day stay with Tia and has come home happy and content. Tia sent me regular updates and pictures. Looks like willow had a great time . Would highly recommend her and I will be definitely using her service again knowing Willow is being looked after in safe hands.”

Olivia was a perfect fit for our 5 month old puppy. It was his first time away from us and he made himself right at home within minutes of dropping him off. Olivia took really good care of him and there was a real bond between them. We will be more than happy to leave him with Olivia next time we are away. Thank you for taking such good care of Duggie.

Pip and Winnie had a lovely stay with Ewa and her girls. Would recommend 👌 exceptional service. Went above and beyond to give my girls the best stay. Kept me informed throughout their stay. Unfortunately Pip had a hot spot, but Ewa took her to the Vets, to get treatment. Cant thank her enough. Which put my mind at rest, while I was away. I will be booking again, for any further holiday. As I know my girls will be looked after as a family pet. Thanks 😊

It was such a wonderful stress free stay for Alex over Christmas...Damian kept sending updates and photos throughout his stay. He even made Christmas dinner for Alex apart from keeping track of his usual requirements... Alex came back super happy and relaxed Definitely would want to repeat Damian again..

The BEST dog sitters we’ve ever had. Provided plenty of updates, seemed to really enjoy Lyra being there. Genuinely lovely people with a big garden for Lyra to have a run in. They even let us drop her travel crate off a day early so I wasn’t having to stress about setting it up in the mornings I was leaving. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Could not thank Rachel enough! Last minute I needed someone to look after my Corso, even though I was nervous due to how anxious she is, Rachel assured me she was in great hands and with the updates she gave me just made me smile seeing she has made best of friends with her baby’s🥰 100% recommend Rachel and will be using again! 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Liv and her partner Josh are simply the best carers you could wish for. We are so happy and glad we found them. They looked after our fur baby girl for 11 days. They sent us pictures, videos and daily updates. We asked for meet and greets prior to long duration and they were so accommodating. Our girl was smiling and happy in all her pictures just like when we take them. Safe to say our baby girl had her head looking out the hatch window of the car all the way home. She loved her time with them and we will certainly be using them again :-)

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
