“Bethany was absolutely brilliant with my very needy dog . Nothing was any trouble and bethany went over and above to reassure me with constant pictures and updates throughout his stay. Would highly recommend bethany. Very warm , caring and trustworthy”

“Leanne and her lovely family are one of the best dog sitters in this area . For Pippa it was like an all inclusive holiday . Leanne and the family are dog lovers and treat it as there own dog and give all the care attention the dog need s and maybe more . I would highly recommend Leanne to look after your dog and will using them in near future .”

“Sharron took care of our puppy whilst we were on holiday and we couldn’t have been more pleased. She took care of him as if he were her own, socialised him with other dogs and took him on new adventures all while keeping us up to date with how he is doing and sending us picture! Highly recommend Sharron to anyone who’d like to keep their dog at someone’s home!”

“I cannot recommend Jess highly enough. Hugo was 8 months old when he stayed with Jess (mon - Friday) so he is full of energy and loves getting into mischief. He’s blissfully snoring away next to me as I write this after holiday. It was our first time leaving him for more than one night and I think he was a bit disappointed to come home. I got lots of updates, whether that was pictures of him on muddy walks or just funny stories and Jess enjoying learning Hugo’s quirks. I also got really quick responses when I just felt the need to know he was okay. We met first at a local park so Hugo could meet resident dog Bruce and we could discuss routines / Hugo’s needs. We got a checklist of what we needed to leave when we dropped him off. He was super excited to empty the toy box when we dropped him off. Hugo absolutely loved staying with Jess and she put us at ease so quickly. Thanks so so much for looking after my gorgeous boy, we look forward to seeing you again soon!!”

“Thank you Lisa! This is our first experience in DogBuddy! Lisa is an excellent dog sitter! We were very worried about leaving our dog in the care of another family but Lisa was extremely reassuring. She sent through a picture of Oscar with his hosts very quickly on arriving and another message the following day to let us know he was still doing. Thank you so much!”

“Probably the best home care available. Ann gets to know your dogs full routine and needs, then adheres to it. She clearly cares about providing excellent care for the dogs she takes in and looks after them extremely well, whilst keeping you informed on a daily basis of how they are settling and getting on. Going forward should I need my dog boarded, Ann will be 1st choice.”

“Andrea was an incredible dog sitter, very responsive and generous. We received a daily update with photos and the occasional video while away and saw that Dottie went on lots of walks, had picnics in the park when the weather was nice, and received lots of cuddle and play time. I would highly recommend Andrea and would hire her again in a heartbeat.”

“Top man , could not recommend enough , kept updated and informed of how your dog is with pics or videos and seams to be a perfect place for any dog to stay , play , relax , and hang out , I feel even if I didn’t need a doggy sitter for a while Id feel id still want to book again just so my doggy just so she can enjoy a day or night with Rhys at his house ,”

“I was really pleased with Beatrice Maria, she and her husband looked after Peppa while we went out for the day, she kept us updated throughout the day with lovely photos and videos, so we knew Peppa was in good hand. Beatrice Maria invited us to meet at her home before Peppa’s stay so she could get to know Peppa and Peppa could get to know her and her dog Celine. I would thoroughly recommend Beatrice to anyone. And hopefully use her services again.”

“Instantly when we met Roberta on a meet and greet walk I knew I wanted to choose her to look after my baby..she has a really calm way about her and it’s clear to see her love of dogs. Lilah seemed to of enjoyed her stay and I will be using Roberta going forward without hesitation should we need a dog sitter.”

“Sophie was great! Willow has never stayed with anyone else before and as she was a rescue we were a bit nervous but Sophie definitely made her feel at home and all the updates were really appreciated! Don’t think willow wanted to come back home with us!”

“Absolutely wonderful stay with Meghna and family, in their lovely home. Snoopy was showered with love, taken for day trips and had the best time with adorable little Tyson. We will definitely be booking in for more dog care again soon!”

“Thank you so much, Piotr, for accommodating Blessing. Piotr and Dominika are a lovely couple and took exceptional care of him. I was always kept informed and received photos of Blessing, which really reassured me. It was Blessing’s first night boarding and he was understandably nervous, but Piotr and Dominika were calm, patient, and very understanding. They always put Blessing’s comfort first. They also thoughtfully adapted how they gave him food and water, thinking outside the box to suit his needs as a blind dog. I truly appreciate your patience and kindness. Thank you so much.”

“Kayan has been a great help! Our first night away from our puppy and Kayan was great at keeping us up to date with messages and pictures so we didn’t need to worry. With a surprise bonus of the cutest Christmas photoshoot! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“Dominika and her husband looked after Barley very well, playing with him indoors and taking him on his walks. He enjoyed his stay and appreciate the care he was given. I would recommend Dominika and would use her again.”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Nuneaton
This was our first time using a dog boarding service and we were very happy with the service provided by Piotr and Domenika. Both were very keen to understand the habits of our dog, particularly focusing on feeding, walking and sleep patterns. They answered all our questions clearly and were very reassuring that everything was going to be OK during Lola's visit. Piotr and Domenika do not own a dog themselves but are very experienced with dogs. We saw this as an advantage as it meant our dog would get their full attention, and there wouldn't be any rivalry between other dogs in the house. They only keep one dog at a time, so this was perfect for us. They sent pictures and updates via the app giving further reassurance, and Lola was delighted to see us when we collected her, but we know she had a great time staying with this lovely Polish family. We wholeheartedly recommend this boarder and will gladly use them again for our next holiday.

My dogs had an amazing stay I actually believe they didn’t want to come home, I was kept up to date with pictures and they were even taken to the beach for a lovely day out ! I’m usually very fussy where my dogs stay but I was totally at ease and would 100% recommend ! Thank you again ☺️

Leanne was amazing! We had a work trip scheduled which lasted a few days and needed someone to look after our dog for us. From the first time we met Leanne, her family and their dog Tilly, everything was super friendly and she made us feel at ease. She answered all of our questions confidently and provided wonderful updates throughout. I cannot recommend her enough and we will definitely be using her services again in the future!

Willow has had a three day stay with Tia and has come home happy and content. Tia sent me regular updates and pictures. Looks like willow had a great time . Would highly recommend her and I will be definitely using her service again knowing Willow is being looked after in safe hands.

Jackie was the perfect pet sitter. At our pre-meet, she asked lots of questions, interacted and played with our dog. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Jackie. She sent us lots of photos and videos and it looked like our dog was having the best time in Jackie’s care. Would definitely recommend!

Ann and Brendan were just fantastic,I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough (in fact I have)…Requested a meet and greet to make sure both ourselves and the dogs felt comfortable and then easy communication to set up the stay. The stay started in a less than favourable manner due to one of our dogs being a little under the weather (so embarrassed) but the patience and understanding from the both of them showed just how dedicated and wonderful they both are to the care of your fur babies…regular updates and videos during the stay, and plenty of activities with the dogs. Thank you so much both We will definitely be using them again….If they allow us 🤣

Georgia has been absolutely brilliant with our dog. She sent us daily updates and photos and it was clear from day one that our dog was in very good hands and enjoyed staying with Georgia. We would definitely recommend her and will book with her again for our next trip.
I had a fabulous three-day break knowing my Teddy was in good hands with Rebecca. The bonus being Teddy had company for the weekend alongside Emi, Rebecca's dog. Rebecca sent me lots of wonderful photographs of Teddy enjoying himself and regardless of his deafness, I could tell he was settled. Thank you so much. Five star rating.

Our dog Bella stayed for the first time recently with Dilek and her family for 18 days and she was so well looked after. From the first meet and greet with Dilek, her husband, and their dog Harper, we knew Bella would be in good hands. They were so warm and caring with her right from the start. While we were away, Dilek kept us updated with photos and videos, which was really reassuring and lovely to see. Bella looked so happy and settled the whole time. We’re really grateful to Dilek and her family for taking such great care of Bella and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable dog sitter. We’ll happily book with her again!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
