Alfie had a wonderful time with Leanne and her family. He got on so well with their dog Tilly, who is adorable. The regular updates showed Alfie was so relaxed and at home with them and was clearly really well loved and looked after. We are so grateful to Leanne for looking after Alfie so well.

I booked my 2-year-old Cane Corso, Bruce, with Charlotte, and he stayed with her and her lovely family. As it was his first time away from home and he can be nervous in new places, I was initially worried. However, my worries quickly disappeared. Charlotte and her family are such warm, lovely people, and Bruce was very well cared for. The space is clean, tidy and spacious, and Charlotte kept me updated throughout his stay, which I really appreciated. A Key plus points for me is there are no other dogs, it’s one to one… When I collected Bruce, it was clear that he had settled in really well. It was lovely to see how comfortable and happy he was, and how warmly Charlotte’s family said goodbye to him. Exactly what I was hoping for my family dog went to a family home… I will definitely be booking with Charlotte again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and trustworthy to look after their dog.

About: New profile, but not new to animal care! I've spent the last 20 years caring for animals and have developed a deep understanding of their needs, behaviours, and wellbeing. From energetic puppies to senior pets requiring extra attention, I provide patient, reliable, and loving care tailored to each animal. I may be new to this platform, but my experience, dedication, and passion for animals are well established. I look forward to earning your trust and giving your pets the exceptional care they deserve. My wife is our primary pet carer and is home full-time, meaning your pet will enjoy companionship, supervision, and care throughout the day. Rather than following a rigid schedule, we tailor each pet's routine to match their normal home life, including feeding times, walks, play sessions, medication, rest periods, and plenty of affection. Whether your pet thrives on activity or prefers a quieter pace, we can adapt to their individual needs to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy during their stay. With someone always at home, your pet will never be left without the attention and care they deserve. 🐾 We provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for every dog in our care. While we do have a cat, it is an indoor cat and stays on a separate floor of the house, ensuring dogs have their own dedicated space. Dogs can relax, eat, and sleep comfortably in our spacious kitchen/diner area. Outside, we have a large grass garden that is fully fenced and secure, giving dogs plenty of room to stretch their legs, play, relax, and safely go to the toilet. We treat every pet as if they were our own, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay.

Lisa is AMAZING!!!! We left our 2 fur babies Coco & Dottie with Lisa & her family for almost 2 weeks, first time leaving them & we were anxious to leave them. We had a meet & greet with Lisa & she was welcoming & reassured us from day 1, communication pre & during Coco & Dottie’s stay was prompt & excellent. Lisa shared regular photos, videos & updates with us during Coco & Dottie’s stay & helped us out last minute due to our return flight cancellation. Highly recommend Lisa & am so happy we found her to provide loving care to Coco & Dottie during our travels.

Thank you so much, Piotr, for accommodating Blessing. Piotr and Dominika are a lovely couple and took exceptional care of him. I was always kept informed and received photos of Blessing, which really reassured me. It was Blessing’s first night boarding and he was understandably nervous, but Piotr and Dominika were calm, patient, and very understanding. They always put Blessing’s comfort first. They also thoughtfully adapted how they gave him food and water, thinking outside the box to suit his needs as a blind dog. I truly appreciate your patience and kindness. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately Pip had a hot spot, but Ewa took her to the Vets, to get treatment. Cant thank her enough. Which put my mind at rest, while I was away. I will be booking again, for any further holiday. As I know my girls will be looked after as a family pet. Thanks 😊

From the first meeting with Helen Monty my 10 yr old cockapoo was at ease with her, he had never stayed with anyone other than family so we were uncertain how he would be. Helen was warm and interactive with us both. Monty had an excellent stay, it was home from home and he loved playing with Helens dogs and his walks. I couldnt have asked for a better experience for Monty (and me) and would highly reccommend Helen.

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was born. I have always grown up with beagles in my house and my grandparents have had Scotties. I have previously volunteered as a dog walker for the RSPCA. My previous dog passed away at the age of 15 and had epilepsy so I have a little experience with senior dogs and medicating. I have an 18 month old unneutered beagle at home who is very sociable. I work from home apart from a Wednesday so your dog won’t be left alone. I work from home apart from Wednesdays so I can take as many bathroom breaks as needed. I walk Sammy once or twice a day depending on his energy levels. Sometimes a short walk in the morning to settle ready for a longer walk in the afternoon after work. I tend to finish around 4:00. I am mostly available on weekends once the ice hockey season finishes. I have 7ft fenced secure garden and my own 18 month old beagle called Sam. I back on to the railway line so I have a good length of grass. He is very sociable and playful. Dogs are allowed on the furniture but must be toilet trained. More than happy to have a meeting prior to bookings.

Really happy with the service could not fault at all. We would get daily updates from Tia on how are dog (Kevin) was doing, daily pictures of him and being able to communicate with her if any problems (which there wasn’t) she was only a message away. It Made us feel very comfortable and safe about leaving Kevin with her which made our holiday a lot more enjoyable and worry free! We was abit nervous about leaving him because we have never left him before but she made us feel at ease and getting daily updates and pictures of him, it was lovely and we knew he was in good hands. Great price, great service I couldn’t recommend her enough. We will definitely be using Tia’s services again 👌🏼😊 be using Tia to look after our food in the future

Maple is always happy to go and stay with Sam and Ebony as are we. We get lots of updates and it's clear how much walking they do by how tired Maple is when she gets home. It's clear what a comfortable home environment it is for the dogs being looked after by Sam and Ebony and they're clearly made to feel part of the family. We'll definitely continue to use Sam and Ebony.

Lisa & her partner looked after our dog Lilli for two nights in August. They were brilliant from start to finish. We requested the booking very late but Lisa was happy to accommodate and even let us come for a last minute meet and greet to make sure Lilli would feel comfortable and to put our minds at rest. They were very easy going and made sure to follow any care instructions for Lilli. We were sent regular updates & photos during lilli’s stay which was lovely and nice to see how she was getting on. Lilli came back from her stay very happy and relaxed. Would definitely recommend Lisa as a dog sitter.

We had a fantastic experience with Dominika looking after our dog, Otis, while we were away on holiday for 14 days. She kept us updated every 1–2 days, which gave us great peace of mind, and it was lovely to see how happy and settled Otis looked in every update. We were extremely pleased with the service and felt completely confident that Otis was in safe and caring hands. We would definitely recommend Dominika and would happily use her again in the future. This was our first time using a dog boarding service and we were very happy with the service provided by Piotr and Domenika. Both were very keen to understand the habits of our dog, particularly focusing on feeding, walking and sleep patterns. They answered all our questions clearly and were very reassuring that everything was going to be OK during Lola's visit. Piotr and Domenika do not own a dog themselves but are very experienced with dogs. We saw this as an advantage as it meant our dog would get their full attention, and there wouldn't be any rivalry between other dogs in the house. They only keep one dog at a time, so this was perfect for us. They sent pictures and updates via the app giving further reassurance, and Lola was delighted to see us when we collected her, but we know she had a great time staying with this lovely Polish family. We wholeheartedly recommend this boarder and will gladly use them again for our next holiday.

Ann and Brendan were just fantastic,I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough (in fact I have)…Requested a meet and greet to make sure both ourselves and the dogs felt comfortable and then easy communication to set up the stay. The stay started in a less than favourable manner due to one of our dogs being a little under the weather (so embarrassed) but the patience and understanding from the both of them showed just how dedicated and wonderful they both are to the care of your fur babies…regular updates and videos during the stay, and plenty of activities with the dogs. Thank you so much both We will definitely be using them again….If they allow us 🤣

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
