Heather and family gave Marley a lovely ‘mini break’ and I could see he was relaxed and happy when I collected him. They are so friendly and easy to talk to. Heather sent several photos and videos of his stay and reassured me, as Marley can be quite nervous in new situations. He had plenty of entertainment, safe space to roam around in at their home and walks. Thanks so much Heather I will definitely be booking again.

I’m so glad we found this lovely family to look after our dog when we can’t take him with us. You won’t find a more dog friendly, welcoming family. Even their little one looks forward to Storm coming. We won’t use anyone else now.

We felt very reassured after our visit that our dog was in the best hands and she came back happy and well looked after 😊 (I hope she didnt try and steal your door stop again 😆) She'll be looking forward to her next sleep over! About: Animals have always been at the very heart of my life. From the age of four, I grew up owning and riding horses, developing not only a love for them but also a deep understanding of their care and companionship. Collies have also been my loyal family pets for as long as I can remember, and they continue to play an important role in my adult life. Alongside my full-time job, I dedicate my time to working on a dairy farm, where I’m hands-on with livestock and experience the rewarding challenges of farm life. With formal qualifications in Animal Care and Management, I’ve combined my lifelong passion with professional knowledge, allowing me to provide the best care and understanding for every animal I meet. As I work from home 2 days a week I’m keen to open my home up to other four legged friends who would be happy with my 3 dogs. Drop ins that are local are welcome also. I currently own my own home and have a large enclosed garden which backs on to open fields complete with 5 ft fences so fully secure for all dogs.

Hayley, did a fantastic job looking after our Cocker. She was really thorough, understanding everything about him and his routine. I knew I was leaving him in safe hands. Then when we were away, she sent loads of updates so I knew he was having a good time. Really grateful for the care and I look forward to using Hayley again soon.

Lola instantly connected with Loan, Adrian, and Benji. I could tell she had a fantastic day with her new friends and didn't miss me at all! They provide a friendly, loving, and carefree environment where dogs feel happy and secure. Communication was excellent, and they kept me informed throughout the day with updates. I have no hesitation in recommending Loan and Adrian to anyone looking for exceptional care for their dog.

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I absolutely adore dogs and understand how important it is to know they’re happy, safe and well looked after when you’re away. We’re lucky enough to live in a peaceful home with plenty of land, giving dogs lots of space to explore, play, and relax in a calm environment. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing outside, or simply curling up for a fuss, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and treated as one of the family. I'm at home from Friday afternoons to Sunday so I would like to utilise my time to offer a safe and welcoming home for other dogs to stay. I have three dogs of my own, so my home is already well equipped to provide a safe, comfortable, and dog-friendly environment. Caring for dogs is part of my everyday life, and I understand the importance of maintaining their routine and making them feel settled. We’re also lucky enough to have large fields that can be accessed directly from our home, providing plenty of space for enjoyable walks and exercise in a peaceful setting.

Such a lovely pair that I cant recommend enough! Mars had a great weekend with them as they seemed to treat him as part of the family. They kept us updated with how he was doing and lots of pictures. It looked like Mars was right at home in their company. They took such good care of him, playing with him, giving him lots of attention and taking the time to learn the signs to communicate with Mars as he's deaf. Absolutely brilliant couple, 10/10 would happily leave Mars in their care again!

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have had all sorts of pets over the years, including Chow Chows, Labradors, Staffies, Huskies and cats, so I’m used to different personalities and energy levels. I’ve raised my own pets from puppies and kittens, and I’ve also adopted and rescued animals, which has taught me a lot about patience, care and really getting to know each animal as an individual. I’m genuinely caring and will always treat your pet like they’re my own. I’m not working at the moment, so I’ve got plenty of time and flexibility for walks, boarding or house sitting, and I won’t be rushing in and out. I’ve got experience with walking, boarding and looking after pets in their own homes, and I just want them to feel comfortable, safe and happy while they’re with me. I’m currently not working, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the week to dedicate to caring for pets. We often look after our neighbors’ pets and regularly take our own dog out for walks, which made me realize how much I enjoy spending time with animals and helping others with their care. I’m available every day except Saturdays and can offer a range of services including boarding, drop-in visits, walks, or anything else needed to make sure your furry friends are happy, safe, and well cared for. Whether it’s a quick check-in or longer stays, I’m here to help and treat your pets as if they were my own. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always follow any instructions provided closely to ensure each pet’s routine, diet, and preferences are maintained. I understand that pets are cherished family members, so I treat them with the same level of care, attention, and respect. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs, whether they require lots of play and stimulation, a calm and quiet environment, or something in between. I adapt my approach to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy at all times. I’m also flexible with timings and can work around busy schedules to provide reliable and convenient care. In my home, I can accommodate other pets either alongside my own husky—who is very relaxed and friendly with dogs, cats, and children—or separately if preferred. I have additional rooms and a secure garden, allowing me to tailor my services to suit different animals, temperaments, and situations.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Bosworth on Rover is £35.77 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
