“Marley had a wonderful Christmas with Heather and family. They treated him better than he would be at home and I couldn’t have left him in better hands! Thanks so much.”

“We contacted Elizabeth at very short notice and honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after Romeo. She was incredibly quick and reassuring with her replies from the beginning, and Romeo clearly had the best time with her. She kept us updated throughout his stay with lots of photos, which was such a lovely touch and completely put our minds at ease. We felt totally comfortable knowing he was being so well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Elizabeth again and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can genuinely trust with their dog. Thank you so much again 😊”

“From the first meeting with Helen Monty my 10 yr old cockapoo was at ease with her, he had never stayed with anyone other than family so we were uncertain how he would be. Helen was warm and interactive with us both. Monty had an excellent stay, it was home from home and he loved playing with Helens dogs and his walks. I couldnt have asked for a better experience for Monty (and me) and would highly reccommend Helen.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Leaving our rescue dog, George, for a whole week was a big step, especially as we’d only had him for four and a half months. From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in the best hands. Melissa took such wonderful care of George and kept us updated every single day with lots of photos and videos, which really reassured us that he was happy, settled and having a great time. It made such a difference while we were away. We came home to a relaxed, happy dog, and it’s clear he was treated with so much love and care. We honestly couldn’t recommend her highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to leave George with her again the next time we go away. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of our boy! I’m so glad we found you!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Penny — she means the world to us. Seeing her relaxed and well cared for allowed us to enjoy our family’s wedding without the usual worries and stress. This was our first time using the service, and we're thrilled to have found Felicity. Our dog is older and I’m a bit of a worrier, but Felicity kept us updated throughout the weekend. When our dog came home, she was rested and relaxed. It was a fantastic first experience with Rover, and we would gladly book with Felicity again. 110/100”

“Lola instantly connected with Loan, Adrian, and Benji. I could tell she had a fantastic day with her new friends and didn't miss me at all! They provide a friendly, loving, and carefree environment where dogs feel happy and secure. Communication was excellent, and they kept me informed throughout the day with updates. I have no hesitation in recommending Loan and Adrian to anyone looking for exceptional care for their dog.”

“Hio Man T took excellent care of our two dogs. We were sent pictures and videos on occasion. Our dogs came home tired and happy, which gives us every indication that they were well cared for while we were on holiday. It was a nice bonus that Hio Man was able to pick up and drop off our pups. We will definitely use this sitter again!!”

About: New profile, but not new to animal care! I've spent the last 20 years caring for animals and have developed a deep understanding of their needs, behaviours, and wellbeing. From energetic puppies to senior pets requiring extra attention, I provide patient, reliable, and loving care tailored to each animal. I may be new to this platform, but my experience, dedication, and passion for animals are well established. I look forward to earning your trust and giving your pets the exceptional care they deserve. My wife is our primary pet carer and is home full-time, meaning your pet will enjoy companionship, supervision, and care throughout the day. Rather than following a rigid schedule, we tailor each pet's routine to match their normal home life, including feeding times, walks, play sessions, medication, rest periods, and plenty of affection. Whether your pet thrives on activity or prefers a quieter pace, we can adapt to their individual needs to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy during their stay. With someone always at home, your pet will never be left without the attention and care they deserve. 🐾 We provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for every dog in our care. While we do have a cat, it is an indoor cat and stays on a separate floor of the house, ensuring dogs have their own dedicated space. Dogs can relax, eat, and sleep comfortably in our spacious kitchen/diner area. Outside, we have a large grass garden that is fully fenced and secure, giving dogs plenty of room to stretch their legs, play, relax, and safely go to the toilet. We treat every pet as if they were our own, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay.
“Rebecca was very caring with Angie and listened to all my care instructions for her. I was sent photos throughout the entire stay to keep me updated, Angie looked very comfortable in Rebecca's home. Will use her services again in the future.”

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
