“It’s clear that Jane loves cats! Her communication was brilliant from the start, she really put us at ease. She is a great fit for our cat Bluebell, and sent lots of photos and updates, and we could see that Bluebell was relaxed and happy, which was wonderful. She arrived & left at the agreed times, and the house was left immaculate. Bluebell is looking forward to us going away again, so she can get more fuss from Jane 😂❤️ Thanks again for taking such good care of our fluffy girl!”

“This was Hannah's first time looking after our fur babies and she was amazing with our boys. She followed all instructions and beyond giving them all the care and love they could possibly have 🥰 lots of updates and pictures which I asked for and Hannah left our home just as clean as when we left. I already have repeat bookings for the future and can highly recommend Hannah for your fur babies too!”

About: I recently lost my lovely Labrador and really miss having a little four-legged friend around the house. I’ve always been an animal lover and genuinely enjoy giving them plenty of attention, getting out for walks and having some company during the day. I work from home, which means I’m around for most of the day and can be really flexible around your dog’s usual routine. Whether they need regular walks, toilet breaks, lots of play and attention, or simply someone to curl up next to while I work, I’m happy to fit around what they’re used to. Having had my own Labrador, I completely understand how important it is to know your dog is with someone who will genuinely care for them. I’ll treat them like one of my own and, of course, send you plenty of little updates and photos while they’re with me 🐶❤️ I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day and have lots of flexibility when it comes to looking after your dog. I can fit walks, toilet breaks, feeding and playtime around their normal routine, and they’ll have plenty of company and attention while they’re with me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so I’ll always care for them as I would my own. I’m happy to follow any routines or instructions you have, from feeding and walks to where they sleep and what they’re allowed to do at home. I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable and very loved while they’re with me, with plenty of updates for you too 🐾❤️

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and regularly look after pets for friends and family. I’m comfortable caring for all breeds, from young puppies to older dogs, and I’ll make sure your dog is safe, happy, and well looked after while you’re away. I work from home so am available mornings, lunchtime and evenings from 5pm onwards. I will be available most days in the week as well as weekends I’ll care for your dog as if they were my own, making sure they’re safe, happy, well exercised, and given plenty of attention while you’re away.

About: I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed caring for and building bonds with them. Growing up, I regularly looked after my family’s dogs, including a Sheltie, a long-haired Poodle and a Cockapoo, giving me experience with different breeds, personalities and sizes. For over 5 years, I have also volunteered with a local Husky rescue, where I have gained hands-on experience caring for rescue dogs and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I have fostered rescue dogs and have even adopted one myself, so I understand how important patience, routine and reassurance can be, particularly for dogs who may be nervous or anxious. I have also helped with basic training, teaching rescue dogs commands such as sit and lie down, as well as helping them learn and respond to new names. I am confident working with dogs who need a little extra patience and reassurance and really enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual. Most importantly, I genuinely love spending time with dogs! Whether they are tiny, giant, energetic, nervous or just looking for a cuddle, I am happy to give them the attention, affection and care they deserve. 🐾❤️ I work as a teacher, so during term time I am generally out of the house from around 7am until 4pm on school days. However, I have much more availability at weekends and during school holidays, when I can dedicate plenty of time to caring for your dog. When I am looking after a pet, I make sure they are not left alone for long periods. Throughout the day, I am never usually away for more than around 4 hours at a time, and I can provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime and cuddles around my schedule. I am happy to discuss your dog’s individual routine and needs to make sure they feel comfortable and settled. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my priority. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to get to know their individual personality, routine and needs. I am especially comfortable with anxious or nervous dogs and know how important patience, reassurance and a calm environment can be. I am happy to follow your usual feeding, walking and care routines and can provide plenty of attention, playtime and cuddles. I will treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own, keeping you updated while you are away so you can have peace of mind.
“Lisa looked after Dora for a week while we were on holiday. She was always in good contact and sent pics as we missed our girl 🐶 Dora was in great spirit when we came home so we could tell she'd been well looked after 😊”

“Maisie looked after my two dogs and cat in our home. One of my dogs has a tricky temperament and it is fairly challenging to manage her needs. Maisie was attentive to her needs and took amazing care of all of the animals and we returned to them happy and calm. I would recommend Maisie without hesitation.”

“Hollie has been absolutely exceptional in caring for our dog, Bear, who is an older dog and not quick to warm to new people. From the outset, Hollie showed genuine patience, kindness, and understanding, taking the time to build trust at Bear’s pace. Bear is currently on medication for arthritis, and Hollie managed this impeccably throughout the week, ensuring her routine was followed carefully. She adapted wonderfully to Bear’s needs, providing plenty of reassurance, gentle walks, and lots of affection, which made a huge difference to Bear’s comfort and confidence. Hollie stayed in our home for the week, and we returned to find it extremely well cared for—clean, tidy, and clearly respected. We were also kept regularly updated with photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to see the lovely bond developing between them as the week went on. We would not hesitate to recommend Hollie and will absolutely be booking her every time we need care for Bear in the future.”

“Friendly and helpful, went above and beyond and made us feel at ease with trusting him with our most prized possessions. His communication was clear. He respected our property and would love to use again.”

“Lauren is an amazing sitter! We got daily updates which was lovely, and our little Lottie was clearly happy and well looked after. Came home to a spotless house too. Would 100% recommend! 🫶”

“Phenomenal. Michelle looked after Clement whilst my husband and I were away, and honestly we couldn’t have asked for more. She kept us updated with all of Clement’s adventures and didn’t just follow the handover notes — she genuinely understood him and what we wanted for him. Whether it was stimulating walks making new doggo friends, cuddles in bed, snores on the sofa, or even sneaking treats off the postie, Michelle listened, observed, and gave Clement the absolute best experience. It was so clear he was not only well cared for, but properly loved. Knowing Clement was happy and settled completely made our holiday. We would trust Michelle again in a heartbeat.”

“Leanne was absolutely wonderful! From the very first message, she was kind, professional, and so easy to communicate with. During the stay, she kept us updated with lovely messages and photos, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Our doggy was so happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. Everything went perfectly, and it’s such a comfort to know we’ve found someone we can trust. X We’ll definitely be booking with Leanne again in the future. Highly recommend! ❤️🐾”

About: After my westie passed away 8yrs ago, it took me a while to figure what I wanted to do with my life, I’d lived with various dog breeds and cared for them, so the natural path for me to pursue was working with animals, this bought me great happiness and joy, it healed my heart. This is my full time calling, I dog walk on certain days and diary allowing I pet sit, I cover Leicester but I also do ad hoc sits. I always do a meet and greet, get a full history of the pets, walk them with the owner. I get a full rundown of the home. Typical questions: age, breed, allergies, medication, walks, food & treats, vets details, where they sleep, when they were last groomed and vaccinations.
“Jiahui was fantastic! Riley is a difficult dog, but she managed to become his friend very quickly. He had a great time with her. I got lots of updates, pictures, so I had a very good time as well, knowing that Riley is in such good hands. Thank you very much, Jiahui and Rover Looking forward to our next meeting!”

About: I have had 3 boxer dogs, all in which towards their old age I took great care of them including medication. I now have a cocker spaniel who has an ear problem so I am used to having to put medicated cream in his ears. I have also for the past year looked after a Jack Russel and a German shepherd. For these dogs I have house sat so I have done all the feeding and walking etc. I have also had experience cat sitting on 2 different occasions, so this opened me up to how to deal with litter trays, different dietary requirements and medication. These experiences have enabled me with many different opportunities to look after dogs and cats of all sizes! I am a qualified supply teacher in primary schools, which means I have a very flexible schedule and also a lot of free time during half terms! Living in Chester means I have easy access to many different bus/train routes so I am very easy accessible. I have experience with all different breeds and ages so I am happy to be looking after animals who need medication, I can also safely put the dogs in their crate, also senior dogs if there is special needs that they need such as aid getting onto their bed. I have house sat on many occasions and never had any problems I always keep in contact with the Owner, happy to send lots of pictures so they are kept updated and if keys are involved always made sure I follow the owners instructions!

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bosworth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
