“Lisa looked after Dora for a week while we were on holiday. She was always in good contact and sent pics as we missed our girl 🐶 Dora was in great spirit when we came home so we could tell she'd been well looked after 😊”

About: I’ve had the experience of looking after and caring for my own family dogs and cats growing up and have the trust from friends and neighbours to look after theirs. I am a university student so having the flexibility in hours that pet care offers, gives me the opportunity to do something that I would really love and enjoy doing around my studying. I am also a really active person I go for walks daily and having a little buddy to join me would make those walks a lot more fun. Caring for someone’s pet within their home I make sure that I have the specifics on how they look after their own pet when they are around to ensure a routine is kept as much as possible. I am an energetic person so a lot of playing around but also a lot of snuggles to.
“Absolutely amazing sitter and has put my mind at ease trying to find a reliable and perfect person to watch my fur baby! Always puts my mind at ease and sends updates! I highly recommend!!”

“I was very happy with Tia. She looked after my dog and cat for a weekend. My dog is very nervous around new people but Tia quickly made him feel comfortable. I got regular updates and communication from Tia and she treated my home with respect. Thoroughly impressed, I would 💯 invite Tia back if I needed her in the future”

About: LEANNO66078 (£30 off your first booking) Animals have always been a big part of my life, and cats especially have my heart. I love getting to know each cat’s personality—whether they’re cuddly, curious, or content doing their own thing. I’ve grown up with a grand total of 3 dogs, 7 cats, 4 rabbits, and I now have my own fur baby Ozzie who is a cheeky Norwegian Forest Cat! I have been cat and dog sitting for years before joining Rover. I am DBS cleared and hold the highest level of U.K. government security clearance due to my profession so you can be 100% sure your baby is safe with me. I have dealt with shy and anxious cats, reactive dogs, totally chill dogs and cats, and those that require a lot more attention due to being that extra bit playful! 😻 I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet behind as a frequent traveller myself, so I care for them with the same love and responsibility I’d expect for my own. As a slightly OCD person, I’m highly attentive to routines, feeding schedules, litter hygiene, and behavioral cues, and I’m comfortable caring for shy, anxious or completely relaxed cats and dogs. I pride myself on being dependable, respectful of your home, and communicative, with regular updates and photos so you can travel with peace of mind. I am dedicated to ensuring your pet feels as relaxed as normal and loved, until their person returns home 🩷 I currently work from home 3 days a week so available for early morning and afternoon cat drop ins or dog walks. I also am available on weekends. I will meet with you before you go away, to understand your pets needs and routine, to keep it as normal as possible for them and give them the love and attention they need until their person comes home 🩷

About: Hi, I'm Dani. I am a single mum to 2 children, and we have a dog and 2 cats at home. I run my own business creating personalised gifts, which is my main job, but my friend recommended this site because of my love for animals, and knowing it's not practical for me to have any more of my own at home at the moment! I've lived in Hinckley for 5 years, and before that I lived in Tenerife for 12 years, where I rescued 7 cats, 2 dogs, a bunch of chickens and a duck. One of the cats was found on the street when she was a couple of days old, so I had to hand rear her with bottled milk. She came with us from Tenerife when we moved back, along with another cat and one of our dogs. I am self employed so I can fit my work around my pet clients. My hours are flexible and can be amended if needs be. I work to each client's needs individually. Some prefer me to keep their cats in while they are away. Others like me to let them out in the mornings and bring them back inside in the evenings. No two client's situations are the same. Contact with my human client will be kept up throughout the booking so everyone stays informed.
“Shania is a wonderful pet sitter who took excellent care of our sprocker. Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with him. When we came home after our few days away he was relaxed and happy and so were we. Would highly recommend Shania.”

“we chose Anya to look after our two dachshunds on our wedding day she was more than happy to walk the dachshunds to our local church in the village on the day so we could get photos of them. They even got the dogs in their little outfits ready for their pictures! The dogs were super happy and got lots of cuddles from her and her friend who joined on the day. She also sent photos throughout the day showing updates of them while we were celebrating at the wedding reception. She was on time and always replied back to her messages my dogs had a great time with her and we was very happy to leave them in her care. I’ll definitely use Anya again in the future 100% would recommend!! Thank you again Anya for looking after our babies on our special day♥️”

“Craig did a brilliant job looking after our Dachshund cross! He came out for a meet and greet before and made sure he knew everything he needed to know about Oakley's care. He made sure Oakley was looked after and played with! Great communication and kept us informed with lots of photos! Would definitely recommend and I know Oakley is already looking forward to seeing him again! Thank you again!”

“This was Hannah's first time looking after our fur babies and she was amazing with our boys. She followed all instructions and beyond giving them all the care and love they could possibly have 🥰 lots of updates and pictures which I asked for and Hannah left our home just as clean as when we left. I already have repeat bookings for the future and can highly recommend Hannah for your fur babies too!”

“Claire was amazing with both my dogs and put my mind completely at rest with plenty of updates and pictures. She clearly loves what she does and it shows in how she interacts with you and your animals. Would absolutely recommend claire”

“Hollie was great with Winnie, and sent loads of updates. It was our first time leaving Winnie and we needed someone short notice! Hollie understood Winnie's needs and we felt like Winnie was in great hands, with someone who truly cared about her welfare. We've already booked in extra dates 😄”

About: Worked on an animal farm, in a doggy daycare and at a small pet rescue. I’ve had my own pets throughout my life including many dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals. I have qualifications in level 3 animal management and a pet sitting and dog walking diploma I’m just starting out my own business so I’ll be taking on many clients and have plenty of time for your furry babies. I will have a call with the owner at first to discuss everything I need to know about you and your pet. I will then schedule a free visit to meet you and your pet and have a look around the home (only the rooms I would need to know) and get to know where everything is
About: Hi I'm Amy, I love pets, but I don't have the support network around me at the moment to support me having my own. This is why I would love to offer others the same where I can. I don't have any children or other pets. I have a background in dog training and have had 2 of my own dogs in the past, one with separation anxiety, so I understand how hard this can be. I work from home so I would be able to have a calm dog with me whilst I work to keep them company or pop in to your dog for a walk to get out of the house at lunchtime. I enjoy walking in my spare time and snuggling on the sofa, so it would be nice to offer a dog a home away from home when their owners need a holiday too I work from home most days so would be available to look after a pet at my home in the week and weekends where possible. I have a large garden and an open home for your pet to have the space they need. I will give them the care they expect at home and help where I can with making the experience as stress free as possible. I am very keen to work with you and your pet with any ongoing training requirements too
“Alex was fantastic - immediately clicked with our pooch and took amazing care of the house as well whilst we were away! Great communication throughout and house was left super clean for when we got home 🙌”

About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs, so caring for animals has been a natural part of my life. My family has had both a Belgian Shepherd and a German Shepherd, which means I'm confident and comfortable with large breeds as well as smaller dogs. We currently have two lovable Bulldogs, and I also regularly help care for my grandmother's two cats. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that's going for walks, playing, giving them company, or simply making sure they feel safe and loved. I'm also happy to handle feeding, cleaning, and any mess that comes with pet care. What sets me apart is my attention to detail. I know every pet has their own routine, and I always follow owners' instructions carefully so you can have complete peace of mind while you're away. I’m currently working part time and from home, so I have plenty of free time to look after your dogs or cats. I’m available on weekdays and weekends as well, also very flexible in time. If I would like me to stay over at your house to company your pet I would love to do that, following the owner’s detailed instructions so everything can go smoothly.
“Maisie looked after my two dogs and cat in our home. One of my dogs has a tricky temperament and it is fairly challenging to manage her needs. Maisie was attentive to her needs and took amazing care of all of the animals and we returned to them happy and calm. I would recommend Maisie without hesitation.”

“Jiahui was fantastic! Riley is a difficult dog, but she managed to become his friend very quickly. He had a great time with her. I got lots of updates, pictures, so I had a very good time as well, knowing that Riley is in such good hands. Thank you very much, Jiahui and Rover Looking forward to our next meeting!”

About: I'm a dedicated animal lover who treats every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to understand each pet's individual personality and routine so they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you're away. I'm patient with nervous pets, attentive to senior animals, and happy to care for energetic puppies and kittens. Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, medication (if needed), or plenty of cuddles, I always provide reliable, loving care and keep owners updated with regular photos and messages for peace of mind. My work is very flexible and work from home for bits which gives me plenty of time to take care of your pets when they need walking, giving them attention and playing with them, letting them out for potty and feeding them. I listen to what you do in your home and respect those boundaries that are set up example pets not allowed on furniture I will respect those rules.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Hinckley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hinckley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
