Ewa looked after our elderly dog whilst we went away. We hate leaving Skye, but Ewa sent us daily updates including photos and a video. She was looked after as if she were Ewa’s own pet; Skye loved her. If we go away again, I will definitely trust Ewa to care for Skye 😊

About: Eager to get some more reviews, as I’ve just started on the app. I’ve had dogs for the past 13 years of my life. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs both in the UK and abroad. I trained my dog and taught her all the basics including how to shake and roll over - definitely not a professional trainer though, but I’ll have a go. Happy to do meet and greets! Excited to meet your pets! I have a flexible university schedule and would love some time to unwind spent with animals! I usually have a day off of uni as well as a free weekend but am happy to commute from further out of Leeds for my studies if my care involves a longer stay. I am happy to either check in on/stay full time at your house to look after your pets. I want to tailor my care to what each pet needs so everyone can have the best experience!

Suet looked after our 3 cats Cleo, Bubbles and Simba and she did a wonderful job of looking after them all and playing with them all twice a day and feeing them. We came home to 3 very happy cats and had multiple photos and updates for each visit which put us at ease that the cats was being well looked after! Will defiantly try to book Suet on our next holiday! Thanks from both me and Michelle and the cats!

About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs, so caring for animals has been a natural part of my life. My family has had both a Belgian Shepherd and a German Shepherd, which means I'm confident and comfortable with large breeds as well as smaller dogs. We currently have two lovable Bulldogs, and I also regularly help care for my grandmother's two cats. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that's going for walks, playing, giving them company, or simply making sure they feel safe and loved. I'm also happy to handle feeding, cleaning, and any mess that comes with pet care. What sets me apart is my attention to detail. I know every pet has their own routine, and I always follow owners' instructions carefully so you can have complete peace of mind while you're away. I’m currently working part time and from home, so I have plenty of free time to look after your dogs or cats. I’m available on weekdays and weekends as well, also very flexible in time. If I would like me to stay over at your house to company your pet I would love to do that, following the owner’s detailed instructions so everything can go smoothly.

About: We provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and routine. We make sure pets get plenty of exercise through regular walks, engaging playtime, and positive interaction so they stay happy and comfortable while you’re away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and follow care instructions closely. For added convenience, we also offer pick-up and drop-off services, making pet care easier and stress-free for both you and your pet. If you want it more playful, more professional, or shorter, we can tweak it in seconds. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I share responsibilities with my partner so we can provide consistent, reliable coverage. Together, we’re able to accommodate feeding times, walks, play, and check-ins throughout the day and night, allowing us to offer 24-hour care when needed. This flexibility ensures pets receive attention, comfort, and supervision at all times. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in my home. Pets are welcomed into a clean, secure, and pet-friendly space where they are supervised and treated with care and respect. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and daily routines. Pets are never left unattended for long periods, and I use secure leashes, safe spaces, and positive interaction to ensure they feel comfortable and relaxed. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free environment where pets feel at home while their owners are away.

About: Worked on an animal farm, in a doggy daycare and at a small pet rescue. I’ve had my own pets throughout my life including many dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals. I have qualifications in level 3 animal management and a pet sitting and dog walking diploma I’m just starting out my own business so I’ll be taking on many clients and have plenty of time for your furry babies. I will have a call with the owner at first to discuss everything I need to know about you and your pet. I will then schedule a free visit to meet you and your pet and have a look around the home (only the rooms I would need to know) and get to know where everything is

About: I’ve had my son Bertie (Biewer terrier) for 3 years and Sophie (Malteypoo) for 2 years, I’ll start with Bertie he’s a complex little old man, he’s a senior dog recently turned 12 years old and comes with complex needs such as specific food, he can’t walk so I use a dog friendly back pack for him unless he wants to meet new dogs then he comes out. He has to have a bath each day due to his incontinence issues and he has complex dental needs, but other than that he’s a happy boy with a great quality of life. Now for Sophie she’s a handful as she’s only 2 years old and still a very playful puppy she’s taking training very well and loves an afternoon cuddle and treats and as well as annoying Bertie whenever she can. My cats are easy to look after so they don’t require a lot apart from my Maine coon cross cat as he’s so hairy he needs to be brushed once a night, Sophie is an easy dog as for Bertie he requires a lot of grooming due to incontinence and can only eat certain things and unfortunately can’t walk far at all Will love, affection, care and a lot of treats. I’m open to however you look after your animals I’m confident I can also provide that

About: I’ve had the experience of looking after and caring for my own family dogs and cats growing up and have the trust from friends and neighbours to look after theirs. I am a university student so having the flexibility in hours that pet care offers, gives me the opportunity to do something that I would really love and enjoy doing around my studying. I am also a really active person I go for walks daily and having a little buddy to join me would make those walks a lot more fun. Caring for someone’s pet within their home I make sure that I have the specifics on how they look after their own pet when they are around to ensure a routine is kept as much as possible. I am an energetic person so a lot of playing around but also a lot of snuggles to.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Hinckley pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hinckley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
