About: I have taken care of animals since I was a child. I had a dog for 13 years and recently brought home a kitten under 6 weeks and cared for it until we found its forever home! I’m currently working part time so I will have plenty of time to look after your pets! I’m available almost anytime, especially weekdays! I have a fenced garden and looked after our dog for 13 years so very pet friendly environment. There are no pets here currently so no need to worry about your pet getting along!
About: I have been around animals all my life and was lucky enough to grow up with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and hamsters- to name a few. I am a very loving, relaxed and laidback pet owner and love being around animals. I happily share my sofa and bed with my pets, so if that is something your dog would like, they would feel right at home when staying with me. My dog Oscar is a friendly and playful British bulldog and I also have 2 x 10 year old cats so any dog visiting would have friends to play with. I also have experience looking after puppies as well as older dogs. I work 4 long day a week but am free over the weekends to look after your dog. I generally walk Oscar once a day for an hour but sometimes he gets an additional half hour walk as well so can easily offer this for your dog. I have a large enclosed garden and space in the house to keep any dog separate from Oscar at nighttime if needed. There is also space for a crate if you prefer your dog to sleep in a crate.

About: Hello everyone! My name is Martina, an italian girl just finished her PhD in Genetics at University of Leicester. I have had a lovely Yorkie for 14 years (Maya, in the pic). She has always had health problems (she underwent three surgeries and was suffering of seizures and food allergy) which means I am well trained to take care of any kind of need your dog might have (I learned how to do injections, clean wounds, give a bath, administrate pills or other medicaments on a daily basis and respecting the time). Since I moved abroad I have missed her a lot. Even though she is not with me anymore I still have a lot of love and care to give and so i thought the best way was to become a pet sitter which not only might help someone in need but would also help me to do one of the things that i love most! I am not going to the lab at the moment as I just submitted my thesis which means I am quite flexible about days and hours. About me, I consider myself a very friendly and easy-going person. In addition I fluently speak Italian, English, Spanish a bit of Arabic. I also have a car. If you think I could be a good temporary companion for your pet, do not hesitate to contact me. :) I have just finished my PhD and I am currently unemployed so I am very flexible and can accommodate all your needs and those of your pet too of course! I live in a residential area with many parks close by to walk the dogs. My flat is small (2 bedrooms flat) but I have a big living room with space for the dog.

I'll have a constant watch on the pet no matter what, moreover to be honest I care more about the pets than the rest of the world.

“This was the first time Inga had looked after my dog, communications prior to arriving were faultless and Inga asked all the relevant questions. Inga arrived on time and was calm and patient with my nervous dog, Inga sat with my dog while I left for a two hour appointment. Inga was gentle and kind with my dog which suffers from separation anxiety, Inga kept me informed while I was away and I was confident that my dog was being well cared for. I would use Inga again for dog sitting and would recommend.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Oadby
This was Ruby's second meeting with our dog Elsie after an initial meet and greet a month ago. Elsie is nervous of strangers and a little reactive. Ruby was calm and happy to go at Elsie’s pace and the pair of them went on a successful walk together ending the time with a tummy rub! Hoping to rebook Ruby to build on this relationship. Thank you Ruby!

Fazila was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of our cat Legolas while we were away. Her updates and photos every day made us feel completely at ease. Legolas looked happy, relaxed, and well loved. We’d definitely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!
We cannot thank Holly enough for looking after Ivy and Ray for a third time. Holly has been a reliable as always and continues to send daily photos showing the cats have been well looked after. Completely recommend Holly for her commitment and loving attitude 🐈⬛

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oadby choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
