About: I have been around animals all my life and was lucky enough to grow up with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and hamsters- to name a few. I am a very loving, relaxed and laidback pet owner and love being around animals. I happily share my sofa and bed with my pets, so if that is something your dog would like, they would feel right at home when staying with me. My dog Oscar is a friendly and playful British bulldog and I also have 2 x 10 year old cats so any dog visiting would have friends to play with. I also have experience looking after puppies as well as older dogs. I work 4 long day a week but am free over the weekends to look after your dog. I generally walk Oscar once a day for an hour but sometimes he gets an additional half hour walk as well so can easily offer this for your dog. I have a large enclosed garden and space in the house to keep any dog separate from Oscar at nighttime if needed. There is also space for a crate if you prefer your dog to sleep in a crate.
“Rosie, our Old Tyme Bulldog, stayed with Amanda and her family for a week while we went on holiday. We would highly recommend her. Amanda and her family clearly love dogs and Rosie had a great time. Amanda sent us regular updates, photos and videos throughout the week so we didn't have to worry whether Rosie was okay as we had videos of her enjoying herself. It was really reassuring. Great communication throughout. Rosie will definitely be staying with Amanda again and we'll be checking her availability before we book our next holiday :-)”

“Chang had looked after my two cats for a week when my family went abroad. When we went to see her she was very nice and friendly and was open to listen to any specifics about how the cats should be kept or what they eat. Whilst away, she kept me constantly updated and let me knew how the cats were getting along, how much they were/weren’t eating and if there was any litter issues etc. Though my cats hadn’t stayed with others before they seemed very comfortable and she made sure they were constantly well looked after. About: Dogs have literally been my whole world. Growing up... I had everything from my mum's sassy little sausage dog to big, bouncy German Shepherds. My proudest moment? Adopting a retired police dog... and at one point, having three large dogs under my roof all at once. I live for the chaos! Now I'm settled on Vaughan Way, right in the city centre, and I've been loving discovering Abbey Park, the riverside, and every green patch Leicester has to offer. I'd genuinely love for your pup to be my next walking buddy. I'm actually out of work right now, so my schedule is completely open! I'm on this whole healthy self-betterment wave, and honestly, breaking up my day with a good dog walk would be amazing for both of us. Noon or night, I'm totally flexible and happy to fit around your pup's routine. Let's get those tails wagging! Safety is literally my number one priority. I've had three large dogs at once, including a retired police dog... so I know how to read their body language and keep them out of trouble. On walks, I stay totally focused on the dog, no phone scrolling, just me and your pup exploring Abbey Park, the riverside, or wherever they love to sniff. I keep them on a lead unless you say otherwise, and I always carry poop bags and water. Honestly, I just want them to feel safe, happy, and completely themselves while you're away.

Ellie did a wonderful job of looking after our anxious border collie, who comes back from kennels with no bark and upset tummy. Dottie had a great time and was so relaxed when we picked her up after 3 nights after being welcomed into Ellie’s home. All needs were met and met well -especially as there were fireworks every single day. Ellie’s own dog is also a joy, and welcoming to other dogs. Will most definitely ask Ellie to look after our dog again.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018.
