She listened and made a list of everything me and Rodney do and his needs and wants. She sent me so many photos and videos every day and updated me even when I didn’t ask which was amazing so I could go away enjoy myself and knew Rodney was being well cared for. I collected Rodney and he didn’t want to leave when I came to collect him which is a reflection of the amazing care and fuss he had received. It was like Rodney was Jades own dog and she said how she loved having him. “We left our Caucasian Shepherd Cross rescue - Calli - with John and Teresa for a 24 hour period to see how she got on - prior to a couple of week long stints that we have booked with them in February and April. We had also been for a meet and greet prior to leaving her. It was clear from our first meeting that John and Teresa are lovely people who really care about dogs and also know how to look after them and make sure they are happy. We got a photo of Calli out on a walk in the country park that borders John and Teresa’s house. She was given 2 long walks during the day. On collecting Calli, I could see that she had bonded well and was very much at home - which was great to see and put our minds at rest about leaving her for longer periods. I was so glad to find Kathryn to look after my hound Nora. Kathryn made me feel extremely reassured that she would look after my girl, her home is welcoming and dog-friendly, and she is clearly very relaxed and caring around dogs. I was delighted to see Nora having a cuddle looking comfortable when I picked her up. Kathryn and her household also seem like very lovely people and I wouldn't hesitate to book again!
Abbie was absolutely brilliant, this was the first time for me leaving my dog and she made it so much easier. Absolute 5-star service! Mel is amazing. She kept us completely in the loop throughout Skye’s stay with regular photo updates, which gave us total peace of mind. Her home is brilliantly set up for dogs—packed with mental stimulation, shaded spots, plenty of cozy places to chill, dog beds and blankets everywhere, walked consistently in a variety of settings, even a paddling pool! Honestly, I think Skye had a better holiday than I did. Mel is clearly an expert in dog care and training, and we couldn't recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much, Mel!
Ah the relief when you find lovely and kind dog sitters last minute! Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
