“Daniel looked after my two dogs while we were abroad, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they received. He was amazing with both of them, especially my senior dog, making sure all of her medication was given correctly and that she was comfortable and well looked after. I received daily updates and lots of photos, which gave me complete peace of mind and made it so much easier being away from them. It was clear that my dogs were happy, relaxed, and treated with genuine care and affection. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. About: I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you’re away having my own 6year old French Bulldog. I’ve always been around dogs since I was little and have had pets with previous partners. I’m the go to for my friends nd brothers dog when they go on holiday I have a secure garden and plenty of room for dogs to be kept separate and together. My own dog has had spinal surgery and medication so I’m quite capable of looking after their medication needs I run my own business so I work from home meaning I’m around to support your pet. Enough notice of booking means I can make sure I’m around through the duration of the stay. Dogs will need to be able to be left for 1-2 hours on their own so I can fit regular gym sessions in I have a fenced in garden Separate rooms for dogs to sleep separately at night I can also accommodate crate sleeping My own little frenchie girl will be around to keep your dog company. She’s good with other dogs and tends to do her own thing preferring fuss from humans. She’s shared house with lots of other dogs
“Coco was great with Flash, he was absolutely hyper when we arrived and she took it all in stride! She sent us photos and videos throughout the day and took really good care of him! She answered all our questions and acknowledged all of the care instructions etc, we couldn’t have asked for more 😊”

“I recently used dog boarding service from Youngkyung, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I dropped off my 8 month old Pearl, Youngkyung and her partner made us both feel completely at ease. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about Pearl's comfort and happiness. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates—photos, videos, and quick messages—which gave me and my family total peace of mind. Pearl enjoyed plenty of playtime, socialisation, and affection, and I could tell she was being treated like family. I highly recommend Youngkyung to anyone looking for trustworthy, professional, and loving care for their dogs and cats. I’ll definitely be returning!”

“Ava and Matt are very approachable people and they have good understanding of dogs care. Pearl seems to have enjoyed her stay with them. Thanks Ava and Matt! Definitely recommend Ava to anyone trying to find right dog sitters in Nottingham.”

Zoe is an absolute gem! She took such incredible care of my two dogs, Benji and Molly, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was so thoughtful, sending regular updates and adorable pictures throughout their stay, which gave me such peace of mind. It was clear they were having the best time, constantly out on walks and even becoming part of the family by getting along so well with hers. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who truly treats your pets like their own!

Felt worried to leave our doggy Timy behind while on holiday, But Daniela provided excellent service and sent update plus photo every single day which helped a lot. Seeing Timy happy and playful was reassuring and gave relief every day. Would definitely recommend and would definitely use again. Amazing people and we are sure Timy was in good hands.

Great stay for my dog!! He loved his weekend with David and the gorgeous Rolo. The house is perfect and comfortable for pets. We were so welcomed and comfortable meeting for the first time. We had lots of photo updates and felt very relaxed and reassured leaving our pet with David! Overall such a wonderful experience and I am grateful for Simbas time with David and family. Thanks again! We would love to book again!

An amazing dog sitter! She truly enjoyed spending time with our dog and went the extra mile by teaching her tricks and involving her in her daily life. She was so attentive, thoughtful, and a great communicator throughout. We highly recommend her — she is genuinely the best dog sitter we have ever had.

Wonderful experience booking! Very organised and super reliable. She always replied to messages and easily contactable. I really appreciated the photo updates. It was such a comfort to know my pet was in safe hands and well looked after. Thanks for being amazing! 🤩

We can highly recommend Lucy for dog sitting and care. We feel so fortunate to have ‘found’ her. She is very friendly, and genuinely caring, and has looked after Marley brilliantly over the past couple of days while we were away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Marley was happy, relaxed, and so well cared for. We feel completely confident leaving her with Lucy. We (and Marley!) are already looking forward to the next time we book with her. Thank you so much again, Lucy!

Bethany and Jonny have been absolutely amazing with our staffy Alfie! We received so many pictures and reassurance messages throughout his 3 night stay, and if I messaged to see how he was doing we received a super quick response. They have been so good with him and Alfie looks so happy and settled in all of the photos, which is so lovely to see! Would absolutely recommend to anyone who needs a dog sitter, and will definitely book these guys again in the future. Thank you so so much!

Vikki has been the perfect match for my pet. She is so sweet and reliable, couldn't be happier, especially because my dog is very sensitive and being a rescue too, he needed extra attention. I explained all the needs to taking care of Apricot and she did her best to make us, and especially him, feel at home. Can't recommend enough, will definitely book with her again.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
