This was Rex's second stay with Liga. He had the best time. I received so many lovely photos of videos. She took extra care to look after to dogs in the heat. Very grateful to Liga for taking such good care of Rex.

Mango had the best time and was well looked after. We received updates and pictures and if dogs could smile Mango certainly was! The setup is perfect for dogs with a secure fence and perfect for dog walks. It made us feel a little less guilty for having a night away without her. We could relax knowing she was in safe hands. Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking in the future if we are in the area.

Hunny had a great time with Lottie over the weekend. They went on nice long walks and she came back very worn out 😅. She was very quick to reply to messages. I would have liked more photos/communication during her stay but also I didn't ask! Over all happy and would book again :)

Alice was great with Wilf. We had a meet and greet first, then Wilf stayed for an overnight. There's plenty of room, a very large garden and lots of land. Wilf had walks and played with Alice's dog. He came back very tired! We'll certainly be using Alice again.

About: I am a registered veterinary nurse with 6 years of experience, including 4 years serving as a veterinary nurse in the army. During this time, I worked with a wide range of dogs, including large and high-energy working dogs, giving me strong handling skills and confidence in different environments. I have experience administering medication and providing care at all stages of a dog’s life—from young puppies through to senior dogs with more complex needs. I am also trained in canine first aid, so your dog’s health and safety are always a top priority while in my care. I’m available for boarding, please contact for availability. Your pet will never be left for more than a couple of hours, so your pet will have plenty of attention and care Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully secure garden with a 6ft fence, providing a safe outdoor space for play and exercise. I also have two friendly dogs at home who are well-socialised. However, I understand that every pet is different, so I’m able to keep them separated if needed to ensure your pet feels relaxed and secure at all times. I aim to provide a calm, caring environment where your pet can feel at home while you’re away 🐾

I had the pleasure of hiring Cordelia as a dog sitter for my beloved German Shepherd puppy, Cloud, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Cordelia's genuine love and care for animals shone through from the moment we met. Cloud had an amazing time at Cordelia's place, playing with her other dogs and exploring the open fields nearby. It was heartwarming to see how well she bonded with Cloud and provided him with a safe and stimulating environment. I could tell that she truly understands the needs of dogs and goes above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being. Cordelia's professionalism and attention to detail were also commendable. She kept me updated with regular photos and messages, giving me peace of mind knowing that Cloud was in good hands. Her dedication and commitment to providing exceptional care for dogs is truly remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend Cordelia as a dog sitter to anyone seeking a reliable and caring individual for their furry family members. Cloud had a fantastic time under her care, and I have no doubt that other dogs will have an equally wonderful experience. Thank you, Cordelia, for your outstanding service!

About: From a very young age, I have always had a huge love for animals and have grown up surrounded by pets. Dogs have always held a special place in my heart, and caring for them is something I am truly passionate about. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your dog, and I myself would find it difficult to trust anyone with my babies. I can assure you that every dog in my care will be treated with the same love, attention, and affection as my two Cockapoos Malibu & Cleo get. Their happiness, comfort, and safety will always be my top priority. Whether it’s walks, playing, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I will make sure your dog feels loved and well cared for always whilst they are away from you. If you wish I will send you daily pupdates please just let me know! All dogs in my care will have free roam of my house and garden, I have a dog flap so they can use the garden at any time and happy for them to be on the furniture and our bed! I am currently available to look after your dog or dogs whenever suits you. I am available Monday-Sunday for boarding or doggy day care. I have a secure fenced garden🌳 and 2 friendly fur babies to keep yours company🐶🐶 There will be lots of playing, fuss and love given. I am happy to walk your dog/dogs aswell if you wish.

Betsy was welcomed with warmth into Kate's home and we felt she was looked after sensitively. We appreciated frequent updates and photos. We would thoroughly recommend Kate and her family as excellent Dog Airbnb hosts! She would certainly be out first port of call should we need Betsy looking after again by anyone other than a family member.

John & Teresa looked after our ‘giant teddy bear’ Calli for 8 nights in February while we went abroad. We had previously had a one night trial to ensure all went well. Leaving a dog is a big decision - but with John & Teresa, we knew all would be well as soon as we first met them. They are true dog lovers who ensured that Calli was well looked after and given long and varied walks to keep her happy. When it came time to collect Calli, it was very clear that she had made a special bond with John & Teresa and that was lovely to see. We have already booked another 8 night stay in April. Thanks John & Teresa for taking such good care of Calli-Bear.

Probably the best home care available. Ann gets to know your dogs full routine and needs, then adheres to it. She clearly cares about providing excellent care for the dogs she takes in and looks after them extremely well, whilst keeping you informed on a daily basis of how they are settling and getting on. Going forward should I need my dog boarded, Ann will be 1st choice.

I couldn’t be happier with the care David provided for my dog, Oreo From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear that he genuinely love animals and take the job seriously. Oreo can be a little anxious at first, but David was so patient and kind. I really appreciated the regular photo and message updates; it gave me total peace of mind knowing my pup was in such good hands. When I came home, Oreo was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I highly recommend David to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and loving dog sitter. I’ll definitely be booking again!

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Melton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Melton on Rover is £33.35 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,065 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Melton. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
