My husky puppy was instantly at ease with Molly. She is a caring, professional, punctual and trustworthy pet sitter. My usually nervous husky was instantly at ease. Highly recommend.

Molly recently had her trial day with Ann and her husband and loved being with them. Ann’s attention to detail with Mollys routine was exceptional and she came home a happy little doggy. Her next stay is already booked and I know I can go on holiday feeling reassured she will get the best love and care that she does at home. Thanks both.

Highly recommended dog sitters. Laurie had our whippet over the weekend and he loved his stay. He was very relaxed and happy when we collected him. We received updates and videos on his walks.

Our dog had the best time! We really appreciated the regular updates (with photos) and Benson was very fond of the evenings on the heated blanket and all the cuddles and walks he got. I would definitely recommend Andrew and Fran and Benson will be back.

This was our first time using a dog sitter, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the start, communication was great, and we got daily updates with pictures and videos of him playing with the other dogs — that put us at ease knowing he was enjoying himself. He came home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for. We’ll definitely be booking again!

About: I am a registered veterinary nurse with 6 years of experience, including 4 years serving as a veterinary nurse in the army. During this time, I worked with a wide range of dogs, including large and high-energy working dogs, giving me strong handling skills and confidence in different environments. I have experience administering medication and providing care at all stages of a dog’s life—from young puppies through to senior dogs with more complex needs. I am also trained in canine first aid, so your dog’s health and safety are always a top priority while in my care. I’m available for boarding, please contact for availability. Your pet will never be left for more than a couple of hours, so your pet will have plenty of attention and care Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully secure garden with a 6ft fence, providing a safe outdoor space for play and exercise. I also have two friendly dogs at home who are well-socialised. However, I understand that every pet is different, so I’m able to keep them separated if needed to ensure your pet feels relaxed and secure at all times. I aim to provide a calm, caring environment where your pet can feel at home while you’re away 🐾

Jakub and his family were amazing from start to finish. He kept me updated as to how Bella was getting on and sent photos of her (having a lot of fun!) She has returned to us happy and well cared for. We used to put her in kennels when we went away, but having met Jakub and his family and seen how well that looked after our pup, we will only use Jakub in the future.

Our first time leaving our Labrador puppy with Carl and Clare, we were hoping it would be a good opportunity for her to socialise with some friendly well rounded dogs to build her confidence. Carl and Clare were great for this as they carefully vet the dogs they agree to look after and ensure they are comfortable around other dogs so we felt at ease and that we didn't have to worry about her picking up bad habits or behaviours from poorly socialised dogs, which given her impressionable age of 8 months, was very important to us for her healthy development. We got tons of pictures and updates and she seemed very happy and relaxed in all of the communications we received so this put us at ease.

It’s the first time I’d left my two golden doodles with Tom, so I was a little nervous about how they would behave, however loads of pup-dates letting me know that they were happy and behaving made for a happy dog owner. I’d happily use Tom again

Mango had the best time and was well looked after. We received updates and pictures and if dogs could smile Mango certainly was! The setup is perfect for dogs with a secure fence and perfect for dog walks. It made us feel a little less guilty for having a night away without her. We could relax knowing she was in safe hands. Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking in the future if we are in the area.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
