We came home to a happy and healthy dog who after greeting us also ran back to him to excitedly tell him we were back. Which to me just proves she'd developed a good bond with him.”

About: Hi! My name is Luke, and I have over 14 years experience caring for and training dogs. I also have some experience looking after cats. From a young age, I have been fortunate to have grown up with dogs, and have also regularly helped to look after my friends pets. My aim is to be able to build a personal bond with your pet and to provide them with their own holiday while you are away. I can offer a mix of: Dog walking - tailored to your pets routine and preference Drop-in visits - for playing, company, toilet breaks, and feeding House sitting - within your property to provide fuller time care and companionship for your pet Boarding - coming soon I can also offer basic pet grooming, washing, support for senior pets (medication administration), and basic training for young pups. I will also provide updates for you via WhatsApp, so you can be rest assured that your pet is being well taken care of. I live around the outskirts of Oakham, with access to various rural walking routes. I can be flexible during the week to provide boarding and walks. I also have weekend availability and the option to provide full week cover for while you are away. I have a fully fenced and enclosed back garden with a locked gate. Both the front and back door will be locked, and I will supervise trips to the garden. The house is pet and child free. I live in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood with close access to rural walks.

It was really clear to me that Helen takes a lot of care and attention to really understand yours and the puppy’s requirements. Helen came and house sit for the day to make sure that Atlas wasn’t left alone - when I came back it was clear to me how much time she must’ve spent interacting and playing with him through out the day as he was incredibly responsive to her voice. At first I was a little nervous as have never used Rover before- we liked Luke’s profile and he was super responsive from the instant we reached out, despite being abroad himself at the time! As we were entrusting our home to him, he was more than happy to come over to meet the dogs and see the house before we went ahead. About: Your Experience I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have always had a huge love for them. Unfortunately, now that I’m an adult, my lifestyle doesn’t allow me to have a dog of my own, so I love getting my dog fix by looking after everyone else’s! I’m the designated sitter for my sister and two friends, regularly looking after their dogs whenever they go away for weekends or holidays. I also walk my neighbour’s dog in the evenings when they’re working late. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities, whether that means long walks, playing, keeping them company or simply giving them plenty of attention and cuddles. I’m also a regular runner, so if your dog is particularly energetic and needs more than a gentle stroll, I’m more than happy to give them the exercise they need. Every dog is different, and I’m very happy to follow whatever routine, exercise and care your dog is used to. My priority is making sure they feel happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available for morning and evening walks, weekend care and overnight stays when arranged in advance. If your stay away is during the week I’m available to work from home. I’m active and regularly go running and walking, so I’m very happy to fit your dog’s usual exercise routine into my day. I’m flexible and will always work around their individual needs and your schedule. Your dog’s safety and happiness will always be my priority. I’ll make sure walks are calm, enjoyable and suited to your dog’s individual needs, age and energy levels. I’m experienced with dogs and understand the importance of following their usual routines, boundaries and instructions. I’ll keep you updated during walks and treat your dog with the same care and attention I would give my own. Your home will also be treated with respect and left secure and exactly as I found it. Above all, I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing your dog is in safe, caring hands while you’re away.
