“First time leaving our 11 year old dog, Andrew, with anyone other than family. Tracey and her daughter Maya were absolutely fantastic. Immediately they entered the house they made a big fuss of Andrew and he warmed to them instantly. We had lots of reassuring messages and pictures of him while we were away and on return he was happy and had obviously had wonderful care. The house was absolutely spotless as well. I cannot thank Tracey and Maya enough and would definitely recommend them. We have already booked them in for 2 more visits. Absolute 5 ⭐️’s for them.”

My Dog was a rescue who was very nervous around other humans and doggies, I took extra care with him re introducing him to new environments - now he is the most loving and playful dog! Have also taken many neighbours dogs for walkies for many years! I work part time as a snowboard instructor, so I have plenty of time to look after my fur baby! He has penny of walks and a doggy paddle pool for this mega heat! It’s all love around here! We have a big garden with lots of shade and a pool if they love water! We give lots of duffle and treats :)

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and temperaments, including puppies, senior pets, and nervous animals. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment where pets feel comfortable and can stick closely to their normal routines. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and reliability. I take time to understand each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s extra patience on walks, structured routines, or gentle care for older pets. I always aim to build trust quickly with both pets and owners, and I provide clear, regular updates so owners feel reassured while they are away. My partner also frequently assists me with pet care and often stays with me during house sits. He has been around animals his entire life, and his mum works in the animal care field, so he grew up helping to care for a variety of pets and is very confident and comfortable around them. My sister also occasionally helps out, she has just completed her extended level 3 Animal care Qualification and has years of animal and pet work experience. Together, we provide plenty of companionship, attention, and consistency, helping pets feel settled and secure while their owners are away. I am punctual, responsible, and committed to making sure every pet is well cared for, exercised, and given plenty of attention. I am currently working and studying from home so I am available for all pet needs and services. Caring for pets is already apart of my daily routine having many pets myself. I’m able to care for pets both in my own home and in the pet owner’s home, depending on what is most comfortable for the pet and preferred by the owner. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. This includes feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, and any specific instructions such as medication. I also make sure the home is left clean and secure, and I provide regular updates with photos so the owner has peace of mind. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment. I ensure they have a comfortable space, follow their usual feeding routine, and give them plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel relaxed and cared for during their stay. In both cases, my priority is always the pet’s wellbeing, comfort, and safety.
“Absolutely brilliant and respectful house sitter. We were going on a quite stressful trip so it was so comforting my two pooches with all their quirks we looked after so well. We had regular updates and no stresses...fabulous sitter I don't want to praise too much as I want yo keep Donna for myself !!! X”

About: I am a compassionate, reliable, and experienced animal care professional with over 8 years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse, alongside my current role as an Ambulance Clinician. Caring for others has always been at the heart of what I do, and animals have been a lifelong passion of mine. My veterinary background has given me extensive experience caring for animals of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, including those with medical needs, anxiety, or additional care requirements. I am confident administering medication, recognising signs of illness, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Working as an Ambulance Clinician has strengthened my calm, responsible, and trustworthy nature, especially in high-pressure situations. I understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are in safe hands, and I treat every animal with the same care and affection I would give my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, overnight stays, playtime, or companionship, I provide attentive, personalised care and genuinely love building bonds with animals I currently work shifts as an ambulance clinician, when I schedule pet care it will not be during my working days. My days when I am providing pet care will revolve around the animals normal routine or as close as I can. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet in my care. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medication (if required), and any special care instructions. I make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a secure space to rest, and plenty of attention, enrichment, and supervision. I have a fenced garden and have access to open fields with wooden fencing. When caring for pets in an owner's home, I respect the home and maintain the pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress. I keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and reports. Safety is my priority, so I monitor pets closely during walks, playtime, and interactions with other animals, and I follow all instructions regarding health, behavior, and emergency contacts
“I would highly recommend Helen, my puppy Atlas had a wonderful day in her care. Helen’s communication is great, we initially setup a meet and greet and we discussed everything in detail about his routine. It was really clear to me that Helen takes a lot of care and attention to really understand yours and the puppy’s requirements. Helen came and house sit for the day to make sure that Atlas wasn’t left alone - when I came back it was clear to me how much time she must’ve spent interacting and playing with him through out the day as he was incredibly responsive to her voice. Thank you Helen !!”

“Georgina looked after our cockapoo pup Ivy for the day in our house . Georgina is a lovely lady and clearly Ivy had a wonderful day including a canal walk and really took to Georgina. I would highly recommend her”

About: Hi, I’m Maria. My husband and I live in Hanwood Park, and together we offer a calm, loving, home-from-home environment where dogs and cats are truly treated as part of the family. I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs of many breeds and personalities — Schnauzers, Cocker Spaniels, Shih Tzus, Boxers, Lhasa Apsos, Weimaraners, and more — as well as cats. Over the years, friends and families have trusted me with their pets again and again, knowing they’ll be loved, understood, and cared for with patience and attention. What matters most to me is that every dog feels safe, relaxed, and emotionally settled while they’re with us. A Home Built on Trust, Not Just Care I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else — they’re family, not “just a pet.” That’s why I’ve always focused on building long-term trust and familiarity with the dogs I care for, rather than quick, one-off stays. Because my husband and I work as a team of two, your dog benefits from: 🐾Constant human presence 🐾Consistent routines 🐾A calm, stable home environment 🐾Never left alone for long periods 🐾Plenty of affection, cuddles, and gentle play 🐾Walks tailored to your dog’s routine and energy level 🐾Access to a garden for fresh air and relaxed time outdoors 🐾Care adapted to your dog’s personality — playful or quiet, young or senior 🐾Regular updates, photos, or videos if you’d like We especially love caring for dogs whose owners are looking for consistency and continuity — a familiar home they can return to whenever you travel, work, or need support. When a dog stays with us, they’re not just being looked after — they’re welcomed into our home and cared for with patience, kindness, and respect. If you’d like to arrange a meet & greet or ask any questions, I’d be very happy to hear from you. We look forward to welcoming your dog My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. We naturally build pet care into our daily routine, including walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding schedules, and quiet rest time. We’re available for boarding during weekdays, weekends, and longer stays, and we always aim to create a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family. We provide a calm home environment with a secure garden, consistent routines, and lots of gentle attention and affection. Because there are two of us, pets are never left alone for long periods and always have someone nearby for reassurance and care. We take time to understand each pet’s personality, habits, and needs so they can feel settled, comfortable, and truly at home with us.

About: Since the age of 10, my life has been dedicated to animals. Growing up on a farm in Portugal, I was surrounded by the heartbreaking reality of stray animals, which sparked a lifelong mission to help. I couldn't turn a blind eye; I brought home every animal in need—from dogs and cats to injured birds. Eventually, after endless ignored "no more animals after this one" pleas, my parents finally accepted their fate and helped me build dedicated kennels on our farm. Together with the local community, we provided food, medical care, and a safe haven for these animals until we could find them their forever homes. Through these 17 years of rescue work, I didn't just provide care; I studied animal behavior deeply, learning how to communicate with and comfort dogs of all temperaments. Currently, I am the proud parent of two dogs—a Husky and a rescue Collie/Lab—who are my entire world. I know how difficult it is to leave your fur-babies behind, which is why I treat every guest like a member of my own family. When your dog is with me, they can expect: * 🌟 Endless Love & Cuddles: No shortage of affection and sofa time. 🌟 Active Adventures: Frequent walks and play tailored to their energy levels. 🌟 Paddock Time: I live 10 minutes away from a secure paddock where I take my dogs all the time; I'm happy to take yours for a run there too! 🌟 A "Spoilt" Experience: I promise to love and spoil your pups just as much as I do my own. I truly miss the feeling of being surrounded by "fur" and making a difference in an animal's life. I can’t wait to meet your best friend and give them a home-away-from-home experience! I'm currently studying full time from home so your fur baby will never be alone. Walks 3x a day - morning after and evening I go paddocks often especially in good weather and I am happy to take yours along. I offer a safe, loving environment with a fully fenced-in garden for secure playtime. My two friendly dogs provide great company, ensuring your pet never feels lonely. I am experienced with crate training if needed for sleeping or quiet time. Whether in my home or yours, I prioritize a consistent routine, plenty of supervised exercise, and constant attention to keep your fur baby happy and secure.
About: I've always taken care of pets for friends, neighbours, family... Ext. Taking care of animals comes easy to me as I grew up with multiple cats throughout my life, including one which we had since before I was born who only died a few years ago. She had many kittens so Ive always known how to care for them and many other baby animals. The cats would often bring in birds and other animals, they wouldn't kill them so me and my sister would often take care of them until they could go back outside. I love dogs just as much, as my sister was highly allergic, unfortunately I dont have much experience with them other than taking care of other people's dogs, I took care of my neighbour's dog for several years whenever she went away and learned the basics of what to do and what not to. I'm currently studying my A levels so I go to school from 8am to 3pm, however other than that I spent the majority of my time studying at home. I currently have two cats, ones an indoor cat and the other only goes into the garden, I also have a pet Goldfish. The garden is closed off by walls and My cat Boozey can't jump high enough to get out. My other cat Angel has a litter box we keep in our bathroom, we change it once every two days as to never let it get gross. We keep their food bowls filled and keep several water bowls around the house especially in the summer time so they're not dehydrated.
“Lauren, you are brilliant! Thank you so much. Twink was very calm and happy to have us home. She clearly enjoyed her time with you as she did not seem anxious or clingy! Sending photos of her made my day whilst on holiday. She’s looking forward to seeing you again in October 👍”

About: I’ve been looking after the fur-babies of my friends, family and colleagues for as long as I can remember. As a child my family have always had dogs and cats as members of our family. I love the opportunity play and snuggle. This is how I spend free time: cuddles with my two kitties who my husband thinks I love more than him… no comment. I am currently a part-time teacher so I’m always free on school holidays, weekends and Mondays. I’m going to be leaving soon so I will have lots more availability . In my experience pets are happiest in their own environment where they feel comfortable and safe, which is why I am happy to offer in-home visits, where I can feed/play/walk with your pet.

“Jane was brilliant and very accommodating to our fairly specific requests due to us getting married! She took great care of our toy poodles and kept us updated. I’d recommend Jane to anyone and will definitely be in touch again if needing a dog sitter. Thank you, Jane!”

About: I’ve always been a pet lover, saving up to buy a dog with my own money at 16. I am able to walk, feed and flee/ worm cats and dogs. I’ve also dealt with a variety of different animals. I’m currently a psychology with cognitive neuroscience student at university of Essex looking to care for some fur babies when I’m home for holidays/ breaks. I’m able to follow your instructions on how’s best to care for your pets. I’m unable to have them at my house at the moment but I’m willing to travel.
About: I’ve always loved being around animals and caring for pets has been a big part of my life for many years. Over the past few years, I’ve gained hands on experience pet sitting for families while they travel, including longer stays where I’m fully responsible for daily routines, feeding, walks, playtime and general wellbeing. I’ve looked after a variety of pets with different personalities and needs — from confident, energetic animals to more nervous or independent ones. I’m patient, calm and attentive, and I always take the time to understand each pet’s routine so they feel safe and settled in my care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure owners feel completely at ease while they’re away, with regular updates and photos if requested. In my home, pets have a secure, relaxed space with access to a large garden for fresh air and play (always supervised and in line with owner instructions). I also live very close to a variety of walking routes, which means I can tailor walks to suit different energy levels - from short, gentle strolls to longer, more active walks. I have a friendly cat at home who spends much of their time outdoors or visiting a neighbour, so I’m mindful of introductions and always prioritise safety and comfort. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kettering choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
