“I highly recommend Lucie as an amazing dog sitter. She cared for Milo with genuine love and attention, ensuring he was happy and content. Lucie also took excellent care while staying overnight in our home. Milo was calm and relaxed when we returned, a testament to Lucie's dedication and kindness. We are truly grateful for her exceptional service and wholeheartedly trust her with our beloved pet.”

About: I have a genuine passion for animals and plenty of hands-on experience caring for pets. I have my own pets, including dogs and cats, which has given me a great understanding of their different personalities, needs, and behaviours. I hold a Level 3 diploma in Animal management with Distinction* grades, as well as qualifications in pet sitting, dog walking and dog grooming. I have also worked in both a cattery and kennels, giving me valuable experience caring for a variety of cats and dogs and understanding their individual routines and requirements. I already work with pets and regularly gain practical experience, while continuing to develop my dog grooming skills. I am caring, reliable, patient, and dedicated to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care I currently work part-time at Pets at home, although i often work more than my contracted hours depending on the needs of my work place. Because of this, i will fit pet sitting, dog walking and drop in visits around my work schedule and my days off. I always want to make sure i can give every pet the time, attention, and care they deserve, so i will be honest and upfront about my availability before accepting a booking. If you are looking for someone who can be with your pet 24/7, I may not always be the right person, depending on my working days and hours. However, I will always do my best to work with you and create a schedule that suits both you and your pet. When caring for pets in their home, I always aim to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I take time to understand their usual feeding, walking, toileting, medication, playtime, and bedtime routines, and make sure these are followed as closely as possible. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance while respecting each pet’s individual personality and boundaries. I also make sure their home is left clean and secure, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Caitlin was so helpful and professional accommodating myself while I was visiting her area to look after my dog while I went in training I was so unsure of time scales. Keiko absolutely loved her gate responding 2 days together you can tell Caitlin is so compassionate about animals and my little fluff ball was well walked and cared for. Thankyou so much 🫶🏼”

“Millie looked after our pets really well whilst we were away. It was the first time we’d left them with anyone other than family and she was amazing even with our youngest who can try to wrap you round his little paw at times. They obviously adored her and she treated them as though they were her own. She provided daily feedback and pictures which was lovely to see. Would definitely use again in the future.”

“Eloise communicated brilliantly throughout the process and the meet and greet helped put our minds at ease beforehand. She sent photos to show Clarence was happy and safe, which again kept our minds at ease. If ever needed we will look at booking her again.”

About: I have grown up looking after my own animals and caring for others pets too. I have looked after cats and dogs of all ages and made it my priority to make them feel safe and loved. I am comfortable administering medication and taking care of senior pets, as well as providing enrichment for younger pets. I currently work part time, giving me plenty of free time during the week to look after your pets. I am available in the evenings Monday-Friday and all day Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday allowing me to work around your schedule. Please get in touch if you have any questions about availability! I have a secure fenced garden and live in a small village surrounded by footpaths through fields for long walks! I currently have no animals in the house allowing me to care for animals that need their own space.

“Kieran was great with our old boy Tinker, and was a very considerate house guest. Being new to Rover we were a little worried having someone we didn’t know in the house but he gave us plenty of pupdates, left the house clean and tidy with great communication. We would be happy to use Kieran again as Tinks was very happy when we got home. Thank you 🙏🏻”

“Joanne looked after our young dog really well. She was attentive to Jodie’s need not to be left. They clearly had fun together and we came home to a healthy, happy dog. She looked after our house with great respect and left everything clean and tidy. Joanne kept us well informed about both Jodie and other things going on. We would here no hesitation in using her again or recommending her”

“Another fantastic dog sitting experience from Tracey and Mya. We always feel comfortable being away knowing that everything is taken care of and Luna is happy at home getting everything she needs! 5 star dog sitters ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”

“Phoebe was absolutely fantastic! She looked after my puppy Charlotte 3 days in a row while I was sitting exams. She was extremely flexible and took the booking last minute as well as changing times here and there. Above all she was great with my pup Charlotte. She fed her, played with her and kept me updated with pics and videos. Charlotte is normally a nervous pup and has some separation anxiety but she was always really eager to go with Phoebe and ran straight up to her excited so I know she was always treated well :). I would 100% recommend Phoebe as your fist choice if you want a happy pooch.”

“Sophie was just wonderful with our dog Jasmine. Jasmine seemed really happy and relaxed before we left and Sophie left the house all nice and cosy and tidy for us when we got back in the evening. She even put the kettle on for us! Thanks so much Sophie”

About: My name is Chi, and I’m excited to meet your furbabies! As a cat owner of two, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust. I love caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ve been a cat sitter in Wellingborough for three years, with great feedback from pet owners. I communicate clearly and regularly, sharing updates and photos so you have peace of mind. My home visits usually last around one hour, allowing time for feeding, cleaning, play, and companionship. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority, and I carefully follow all instructions and routines. I also offer one-hour dog walks, including playtime in the park. If you need a reliable and caring sitter, I’d be happy to help! I'm currently working full time, so I'm available for pet sitting during the weekend at the moment. For weekdays, please contact me after working hours (5pm). I can walk your dogs, feed your cats, clean litter box and give them medication if needed. I can also brush your dogs or cats.
About: Hello, my name is Luke. Thank you for your interest and wanting to find out more about me. Since I was a kid I've been brought up with pets and cared for them, e.g. ensured fresh food and water, walked them, kept their personal hygiene by brushing their hair and bathing ... - anything that the animals needs to be happy and well looked after. At the age of 16 I took my passion for animals further and started four years of animal management at College. I have gained more valuable experience with looking after all sort of animals, including dogs and making them feel comfortable around me. At the same time I started looking after my familys and friends dogs - just for a walk or for longer periods, for example holidays. Despite having my own daily schedule, the animal always gets 100% attention and all instructions by the owner are followed. I love all dog sizes and their different personalities ❤️ It is important to me to meet the dog and owner beforehand, take notes and provide regular updates. I am currently seeking a change of career into animal care and have a flexible working schedule to fit around any requirements. Pet care would also boost my fitness and mental well-being. I am sharing a two bed house with my partner. There is with a fenced garden at the rear, facing a big open field. There is plenty of space in the house for the dog to either socialise or have some quiet time.

About: I’ve house and pet sat for a range of dogs and cats across the UK, whether young or older, including those needing twice-daily medication. I always follow each owner’s routines closely and understand how important consistency is for animals to feel safe and settled. I’m comfortable managing multiple pets with different needs. My longest sit was just over a month caring for two dogs and two cats, but I've also had many repeat clients year on year. I’m very attentive, enjoy long walks, and genuinely value the companionship animals bring. I also take real care in looking after people’s homes — keeping spaces clean, calm, and well respected. I understand how personal it is to trust someone with both your home and your pets, and I treat that responsibility with care and thoughtfulness. My work and lifestyle are very flexible. Although I’m based in Glastonbury, I travel around the UK for work, including festivals, retreats and private chef work, alongside some remote consultation work. Because of this, I’m often able to be very flexible with my location and schedule. When I apply for a house sit, it’s because I’ve specifically chosen that period to be free and available, either as a chance to have some downtime between work commitments or because I’m working remotely and would like to spend time in that particular area. I’m therefore able to structure my days around the pets I’m caring for and give them plenty of attention, companionship and consistency, while still having the flexibility to work remotely when needed. I really value the slower pace that house sitting offers and enjoy making pets part of my daily routine. I only offer house sitting in the pet owner’s home, and I take both the care of the animals and the home itself very seriously. I’m naturally very tidy, organised and responsible, and I treat every home I stay in with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m mindful of security, cleanliness and keeping things exactly as the owner has left them, while also making sure pets have a calm, safe and comfortable environment. I have over a decade of experience caring for animals and have looked after pets in many different homes and situations. I’m very attentive to their individual routines, personalities and needs, and their safety and wellbeing are always my priority. Most importantly, I genuinely love being around animals. I find their company incredibly rewarding and take great pleasure in giving them companionship, affection and plenty of attention while their owners are away.
“This is the first time we have used Donna-Lee. She was absolutely brilliant 🤩 she put in a lot of work prior her booking with us. Whilst away we received daily updates with pics. Peggy looked very happy and content. Thank you Donna-Lee”

I am DBS checked, I have my dogs first aid and emergency care certificate and currently doing level two in canine behaviour and welfare. I am a pet owner with a husband in tow. Happy o do walks, drop ins or house sits hope to meet you and your pet soon. I am a dog owner, one dog friendly boy in our home permanently, out for walks every day, spoil, ensure they have field walks, park walks, ensuring they are well cared for and loved daily This will go by your needs for your dog, I can ensure your dog is safe, I would go by their routine and can fit it into anything reasonable
“Lauren was accommodating and professional looking after all of our animals. Her communication was excellent and worked well for us. Otis had a great time, with plenty of walks and time outside and the ducks were well looked after (and hopefully provided some novel entertainment). Lauren also left the house clean and tidy which is much appreciated!”
“Jo took exceptional care of my boy, Benji, while I was on holiday. He was happy, content, and clearly well looked after. The photos she sent really showed how much she cared for him. Before the stay, Joanna even took the time to visit and get to know Benji on his terms, asking thoughtful questions about his needs—and meeting every one of them throughout. I would absolutely recommend Joanna to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. Benji would too—especially as he thoroughly enjoyed his unlimited carrots!”

About: I have had two doggies for the last 12 years. My eldest dog went over the rainbow bridge a few months a go and I’m really missing having doggy walks and company. I work part-time as an exam invigilator a few months of the year, have a car and feel I’d like to offer my care to some pets in need. I prefer to work with smaller breeds, with up to two smaller dogs at a time or one cockerpoo size. I would be happy to come and spend time with your furbaby whilst you are at work or on a day trip. We can have a play, chill out or go for a walk. It’s entirely up to you and your dog. I am happy to spend time with dogs of all ages. I am working as an exam invigilator for a few months of the year and have my own car. My children are now grown and they and my husband are now out all day. I regularly look after my father who is 86 one day an week and take him to hospital appointments. Other than this I am available to pop in and look after a dog or two. Take them for a walk or just give them some company. I am happy to care for pets in their own environment. I find that pets seem to be happier if they are in their own environments.

Vania was absolutely brilliant with Bear. He was happy, relaxed and clearly well cared for the entire time. She also left the house spotless and tidy. Communication was excellent too. She sent us regular photo updates while we were away, which really put our minds at ease. We’d 100% book Vania again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Bryher looked after our 2 French bull dogs. She provided daily walks for both of them and enrichment and lots of cuddles. She kept in contact with us and provided photos to reassure us that our doggies were settled and happy. She kept to the routine and also left our house in the way that she found it, clean and tidy. I Will definitely book her again and our doggies loved her!!

Pam is incredibly caring and genuinely loves what she does — I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She followed all care instructions perfectly and kept us updated every single day. When we returned, she even gave us a lovely diary detailing everything she and our dog had done together while we were away. Pam is truly one of the best dog sitters in the area.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wellingborough choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
