“Lucie looked after our dog Roxy brilliantly over the weekend. She was incredibly easy to communicate with, looked after and left our house very clean and tidy and based on the huge number of photos she shared clearly spent an awful lot of time cuddling and loving our dog whilst we were away.”

“First time leaving our 11 year old dog, Andrew, with anyone other than family. Tracey and her daughter Maya were absolutely fantastic. Immediately they entered the house they made a big fuss of Andrew and he warmed to them instantly. We had lots of reassuring messages and pictures of him while we were away and on return he was happy and had obviously had wonderful care. The house was absolutely spotless as well. I cannot thank Tracey and Maya enough and would definitely recommend them. We have already booked them in for 2 more visits. Absolute 5 ⭐️’s for them.”

“Millie was a great dog sitter in our home. Millie took the time to do two pre-visits to be confident she knew the dogs before our holiday. When we were away we had lots of updates on how they both were doing. She rearranged her work shifts in order to spend more time with them. The house was very today when returned. I would highly recommend Millie!!”

“Eloise communicated brilliantly throughout the process and the meet and greet helped put our minds at ease beforehand. She sent photos to show Clarence was happy and safe, which again kept our minds at ease. If ever needed we will look at booking her again.”

“Sophie was just wonderful with our dog Jasmine. Jasmine seemed really happy and relaxed before we left and Sophie left the house all nice and cosy and tidy for us when we got back in the evening. She even put the kettle on for us! Thanks so much Sophie”

“Zoe was amazing! Clear communication, and kept me in the loop. I didn’t feel like we needed to do a meet and greet as my 2 dogs are fairly chill. But we did do a FaceTime call which left me feeling totally at ease leaving Tilly and Daisy in Zoe’s care. Got home to find 2 happy pooches and the house cleaner than how I’d left it! Definitely recommend!!”
“Absolutely brilliant and respectful house sitter. We were going on a quite stressful trip so it was so comforting my two pooches with all their quirks we looked after so well. We had regular updates and no stresses...fabulous sitter I don't want to praise too much as I want yo keep Donna for myself !!! X”

About: I am a compassionate, reliable, and experienced animal care professional with over 8 years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse, alongside my current role as an Ambulance Clinician. Caring for others has always been at the heart of what I do, and animals have been a lifelong passion of mine. My veterinary background has given me extensive experience caring for animals of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, including those with medical needs, anxiety, or additional care requirements. I am confident administering medication, recognising signs of illness, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Working as an Ambulance Clinician has strengthened my calm, responsible, and trustworthy nature, especially in high-pressure situations. I understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are in safe hands, and I treat every animal with the same care and affection I would give my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, overnight stays, playtime, or companionship, I provide attentive, personalised care and genuinely love building bonds with animals I currently work shifts as an ambulance clinician, when I schedule pet care it will not be during my working days. My days when I am providing pet care will revolve around the animals normal routine or as close as I can. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet in my care. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medication (if required), and any special care instructions. I make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a secure space to rest, and plenty of attention, enrichment, and supervision. I have a fenced garden and have access to open fields with wooden fencing. When caring for pets in an owner's home, I respect the home and maintain the pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress. I keep owners updated with regular messages, photos, and reports. Safety is my priority, so I monitor pets closely during walks, playtime, and interactions with other animals, and I follow all instructions regarding health, behavior, and emergency contacts
About: Hello, my name is Luke. Thank you for your interest and wanting to find out more about me. Since I was a kid I've been brought up with pets and cared for them, e.g. ensured fresh food and water, walked them, kept their personal hygiene by brushing their hair and bathing ... - anything that the animals needs to be happy and well looked after. At the age of 16 I took my passion for animals further and started four years of animal management at College. I have gained more valuable experience with looking after all sort of animals, including dogs and making them feel comfortable around me. At the same time I started looking after my familys and friends dogs - just for a walk or for longer periods, for example holidays. Despite having my own daily schedule, the animal always gets 100% attention and all instructions by the owner are followed. I love all dog sizes and their different personalities ❤️ It is important to me to meet the dog and owner beforehand, take notes and provide regular updates. I am currently seeking a change of career into animal care and have a flexible working schedule to fit around any requirements. Pet care would also boost my fitness and mental well-being. I am sharing a two bed house with my partner. There is with a fenced garden at the rear, facing a big open field. There is plenty of space in the house for the dog to either socialise or have some quiet time.
“Olivia has been great with our dog. Took care of him and our house over few days that we been away. We received plenty of photos and updates. I'm really happy and would highly recommend Olivia to everyone.”

About: I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up caring for hamsters, rats, cats and dogs, my love for animals has only grown over the years. I currently have two mischievous ginger-and-white cats at home (and I’m always trying to convince my other half we need another pet… or maybe a dog! 😂). I’m the kind of person who notices the animals before anything else — whether that’s stopping to admire them on holiday, taking far too many photos, or visiting Pets at Home to say hello to the small animals while picking up supplies for my own cats. If I’m away overnight, I’ll even FaceTime my partner just to check in on my two boys. 🤭 I previously volunteered with RSPCA Wildlife Rescue, which gave me rewarding hands-on experience caring for animals in need. I also regularly dog sit for friends, giving them peace of mind that their pets are not only safe and well cared for, but genuinely loved. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own — with plenty of affection, attention, playtime and cuddles (if they’re willing!). Whether your pet enjoys adventures, fun and games, or simply some company and comfort, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe and loved while you’re away. I work full-time in a hybrid role, so my availability is primarily during evenings and weekends. I'm also available for house sitting, although I do need to attend the office three days a week. On two of those days, I'm usually home by around 2pm, allowing me to spend the majority of the afternoon and evening with your pet. I'll always be upfront about my schedule. Your pet's safety, comfort and happiness will always be my top priority. At home, I care for my two indoor cats by keeping their routine consistent, making sure they always have fresh food and water, clean litter trays, plenty of playtime, enrichment and, of course, lots of cuddles and attention. I also regularly look after friends' dogs when they're away, ensuring they get plenty of exercise through walks, as well as the care, companionship, play and mental stimulation they need to stay happy and settled. When caring for pets in your home, I'll always respect your space and follow your instructions carefully so your pet can stick to their usual routine. I'm always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before caring for your pet. It's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, for your pet to become familiar with me, and for me to learn about their routine, personality and individual needs. It also gives you the chance to ask any questions and feel confident that your furry companion will be in safe, caring hands.
“Lauren was accommodating and professional looking after all of our animals. Her communication was excellent and worked well for us. Otis had a great time, with plenty of walks and time outside and the ducks were well looked after (and hopefully provided some novel entertainment). Lauren also left the house clean and tidy which is much appreciated!”
“What a lovely experience! This was our first time leaving little Willow with anyone, and I couldn't recommend Jessica enough!! She put my mind at ease. She has such a calm presence which helped Willow be a bit calmer too. She took such good care of Willow while we were in London for the evening. She kept me updated and sent us photos of Willow. I'm sure Willow can't wait for the next time,as I'm sure we will use her many more times in the future. Thank you Jessica!!”

“Molly kept in contact with us before and during her visit. My two seemed very comfortable with her and enjoyed her company, it was very reassuring and seeing the photos. Very appreciative of molly for helping us out”

Vania was absolutely brilliant with Bear. He was happy, relaxed and clearly well cared for the entire time. She also left the house spotless and tidy. Communication was excellent too. She sent us regular photo updates while we were away, which really put our minds at ease. We’d 100% book Vania again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Bryher looked after our 2 French bull dogs. She provided daily walks for both of them and enrichment and lots of cuddles. She kept in contact with us and provided photos to reassure us that our doggies were settled and happy. She kept to the routine and also left our house in the way that she found it, clean and tidy. I Will definitely book her again and our doggies loved her!!

Pam is incredibly caring and genuinely loves what she does — I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She followed all care instructions perfectly and kept us updated every single day. When we returned, she even gave us a lovely diary detailing everything she and our dog had done together while we were away. Pam is truly one of the best dog sitters in the area.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wellingborough choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
