Our cats took to Shaan straight away, including our youngest who is very shy. She gave us detailed daily updates, photos and videos, always assuring us that our cats were being superbly looked after. They were fed, clean, brushed, happy and in a very tidy flat when we came home. Thank you Shaan! Would definitely recommend and have you back 😊

About: Hello! I am Fiona, a 24-year-old full-time cat enthusiast and part-time human servant to a fabulous 15-year-old lady cat with very strong opinions about breakfast time. I know that every cat is a character, and I genuinely love getting to know their unique quirks (from diva-level demands to sudden 3 AM zoomies). Whether your cat is cuddly, aloof, dramatic, or all of the above, I’m here for it. I am calm, dependable, and completely unbothered by litter boxes, hairballs, or cats who prefer to communicate through judgmental stares and keeping their distance. I’ll follow your care instructions to the letter (food, medication, playtime, hiding spots, weird rituals- whatever makes your kitty feel safe and happy while you’re away). I will treat your cat like the royalty they already think they are. I can’t wait to meet your furry overlord!

This is the first time I have left my dog at home with a sitter, he is 14 years old & a bit grumpy. Zanthi was great with him, and he was absolutely fine with her from the word go. Zanthi came to meet us before she came to sit & made friends with my dog. I went away happy that my dog was being cared for by her. She sent me regular updates & photos, and when I returned, the house was spotless. I would absolutely recommend Zanthi as a sitter, and will definitely be booking her again.

Jess is a great dog sitter, we’ve tried a few on Rover and Jess is by far the best we’ve ever used. She kept us updated on the girls with plenty of great photos. The girls were all very happy and relaxed when we got home, we would definitely use Jess again. Thanks for looking after our girls

About: My family has had dogs and cats my entire life. Our previous pets were a beautiful cocker spaniel and a ginger male cat. Now our home has no pets and I would be happy to help with yours! I am an equestrian specialist and have just returned from global work. My entire BSc degree and then career has been shaped around animal training and care, please get in touch for any help you need! While living in the Caribbean, I would spend some of my time off helping at the dog shelter on my street. I would take the adult dogs out for day trips at the beach (it was so sweet!). I am currently in the office two days a week (wed&thur). For the rest of the week I can choose how much work I complete! This is a great time for me to help out with pets. They are able to have my full attention. We have a grass covered garden that is well fenced in. Directly next to our house we have many fields and lovely walks. I am happy to take on any of your pets routines so they are comfortable. There is a 9 and 12 year old in my home part of the time. The time they are here will change weekly. They adore pets, and are great with animals… please be in contact about wether any boarding will be around the children or not :)

Really happy with the care our dogs received. Dorota was lovely, easy to communicate with, and sent photo updates so we always knew they were doing well. Our rescue dog can be anxious with new people, and she was great at giving him space and letting him settle in on his own terms. Our lab, who’s also a bit nervous at first, was at ease with her quickly too. It was such a relief to relax knowing they were both in good hands. Would definitely book again :)

About: I had a dog since I was 6 years old and took care of him through his diabetes as he grew older. I can administer insulin injections and eyedrops, and am good at getting dogs to swallow pills. Towards the end of my dogs life, I was able to feed him using syringes so am very experienced with older dogs, and can adapt to the individual needs of your dog. I have also dog sat for younger dogs as well as large dogs, so am able to deal with all ages and sizes. Im a university student, currently at home full time during my summer holidays. This means I will be available most times for pet care and am very flexible. I have a large garden with fences all around, making it impossible for the pet to sneakily escape, whilst providing a fun area for dogs to play in. I have air conditioning inside my kitchen so it will stay cool for the dogs during these hot summer days.

About: I have grown up with dogs, including my own, my granda’s, and all of my friends. I had my own sweet (slightly mental) baby since she was a puppy, which means I have taken her for a lottt of walks, brought her along when I would go for runs, played with her, given her all of the cuddles, and contributed to her training. I have also dog sat for my friends when they have gone on holidays, both by lodging at theirs and bringing their dogs to stay with me. I ensured I met all their care needs by feeding, walking, playing, and administering medication to those that needed it. I currently work full time, and am looking for dogs to walk in the evenings and on weekends, and some pet sitting during the weekends. I am available almost every weekend, weekdays after 7:30, and occasionally during the day on weekdays depending on my work schedule. My rota comes out monthly, so my availability will be updated with plenty of notice.I have just moved and I miss my dog back home. I live near a quiet lake, which is lovely for walks and would keep the fur babies away from busy main roads and lots of people.

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter for our wedding weekend! Hayley stayed at our house for 24 hours and looked after our three dogs, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. She was caring, reliable and clearly wonderful with the dogs. It was such a relief to be able to fully enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about them, knowing they were happy, safe and well looked after at home. Hayley was also lovely to communicate with and left everything perfectly tidy. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. We will definitely be using her again! ❤️

We just lost our dog Butler’s brother so we were a bit apprehensive about leaving him on his own so we couldgo on holiday as this was the first time Michelle would be looking after him. We had nothing to worry about; Michelle sent plenty of updates and I really felt that Butler could not have been in better hands. 🙂

5-Star Review Absolutely brilliant house and dog sitters! An amazing couple, who we have trusted from the first meet and greet. They took such great care of Hera, giving her plenty of attention, playtime and stimulation while making sure she was fed and looked after really well. We came home to a very happy, relaxed and content dog. She even seemed more confident with being touched, which was lovely to see. It was clear she had a great time and felt completely comfortable with them. The experience they have with dogs that have additional needs is incredible We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would happily have them look after Hera again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amelia was fantastic from the start. We could tell at the meet and greet that our lab Rosie would love her, and we were right! She sent regular updates, photos, and videos of both dogs throughout the stay, which really put our minds at ease. Our anxious rescue really came out of his shell with her, which meant so much to us. She even left the house spotless. We’ll definitely be booking her again - highly recommend!”

We've used Natalie several times and always leave knowing the dogs are in great hands! She sent photos and videos twice a day, which kept us reassured. Based on previous experience with Natalie, we trusted her to try Rosie off lead on walks this time - she did brilliantly! Harry is our anxious Romanian rescue who always takes a few days to warm up to new people. Through Natalie's updates it was wonderful to watch him go from keeping his distance, to getting curious, to eventually asking for bum scratches. If you know rescue dogs, you'll know that's no small feat! The house was left clean and tidy too. Trustworthy, friendly, and the dogs love her - we couldn't ask for more :)

Strider absolutely loves his time with Daryl and Veronica. They keep pace with his high energy well taking him on multiple walks, playing, and giving snuggles. We always get a load of photos from their time together where Strider always looks so happy. Daryl and Veronica are also very respectful of our house and we trust them completely. Lucie was absolutely amazing with our dog, Isla. Isla loved her straightaway and was happily snuggling with her on the sofa when we left. She took her on some great walks whilst we were gone and fed her her dinner exactly as we'd asked. Isla was so happy and relaxed when we came back, we could tell she'd enjoyed her time with Lucie. Lucie also communicated with us regularly throughout the day and sent photos to let us know how Isla was getting on. She even fed and played with our cat which was so appreciated. She left the house clean and tidy as well so that we could just relax when we came back. Such a great overall experience, we will definitely be booking her again next time we go away!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,899 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Milton Keynes. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Milton Keynes walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Milton Keynes choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
