About: I had dogs in my life since I can remember. After our beloved family dog Foggy passed away this spring, I’m not ready for a new furry friend yet. I would love to take care of your dog. Your dog would be in safe and loving family environment. My girls are ages 7 and 5, their love animals and had a dog around since their were born. I have experience with senior dogs and also my dog was blind for the last two years of his life. I’m a free-lance photographer and work from home most of the time. I would be able to walk your dog at least 3 times a day. Can do longer walks if your dog enjoys outdoors, love to walk in a local forest. Also pet photoshoot available if you wish 🐕📷 I have a safe, fenced back garden. Can send picture and video updates of your dog during he stay if needed. Also could do a pick up and drop off for your dog on request. I’m currently back to work part-time Monday to Friday so I can look after your pets on weekends and kids school holidays. I’m also home after 4pm on weekdays. I live in 3 bedroom house and have a normal sized garden. Garden is fenced and safe for you dog to explore. I also walk your dog at least 3 times a day.

“Erika and her son were absolutely wonderful looking after my puppy! Erika sent me lots of beautiful photos throughout the day and I was so pleased that my puppy was getting lots of attentive care, playtime and exercise!”

About: I have no special skills other than lots of love, cuddles long walks, and play time,to give your loved fur babies,I lost my shadow ( see photos ) at the start of the year and it broke my heart saying goodbye, he has left a big hole in my life,I cant bring myself to have another dog myself , as funny as it sounds I feel guilty at the thought of getting another dog, i cant replace him ! So I thought I can just give love and fuss to other fur babies, I will always be respectful or thier needs and wants,as owners instructions too, happy to give any medication they need , I will always clarify any details needed, I work full time,I have afternoons/evenings free, and I usually go for a walk in the evenings so why not help fur babies who may not be able to have an extra little walk or big walk ? I dont work weekends so am home more, so able to have over night stays, if your dog is used to being alone for a work day, except pop ins for a wee break lol, then I can do over night stays during the week too, also happy to stay at your own home so your dog feels more at ease and comfortable. Any dog that comes into my home, will be made to feel at home , loved, spoilt, happy to keep to any routines with walks food times etc, allowed to sleep upstairs with myself or downstairs if thats what they are used too, If staying in owners home then I respect your home and any belongings im not a messy person , and will give your dog as much or as little fuss as they want,
“Betty spent the day with Jean and Isla and was very settled when she came home, and exhausted! She clearly enjoyed herself and we’ll definitely book her in again. Thanks Jean!”

“Exceptional service! Arathi provided an outstanding care for Skye while we were away for a day trip. Her regular updates from Milton Keynes kept us reassured and informed, showcasing her professional and caring approach. Skye was happy and well-cared for in our absence, a testament to Arathi's dedication and love for pets. Highly recommend for anyone needing a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!”

About: Marcé but also known as // goes by Shay 🏳️🌈 I've taken care of mostly small and medium sized dogs. I have 1 dog - Pumba the Frenchie! She’s 6 full of personality, sleepy with a panache for snorts. I have experience with rescues too having looked after Luna, a Romanian rescue who I walked almost everyday (when she was ready to), for 2.5 years. I am patient and will love and cuddle every dog as if they were my own. I am a freelance creative so I wfh most of the week. I go for regular walks and am an avid runner if your dog loves a run :) My garden is fenced with a high up lock so no nifty pet can unlock. I have baby gates if needed for pets who are not good with stairs.
“Poppy had a lovely first visit with Mandy. She came home relaxed and happy and had obviously been well cared for. Mandy kept in touch with messages and photos which was very reassuring for me. I will happily book Mandy when I need care for Poppy again.”

“Skylar was amazing with our puppy and also very flexible with both drop-off and pick-up times! She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent lots of photos as well. Our boy really enjoyed his time with her😊”

“Lacey had a lovely time and came back totally relaxed from her day care. Simon and Joanne are very caring and I feel completely at ease with leaving Lacey with them again.”

“Kellie was brilliant with Waffle who can be a bit shy and anxious. She took time to understand his needs and provided him with toys and a bed to settle him in. Would thoroughly recommend!”

“This was our first time with Lai Yan. Kasper really enjoyed his day. Such a clean, comfortable home. Very considerate about Kasper’s needs, caring and gentle and provided a lot of updates and pictures to reassure us. They are very friendly and patient. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. From playful puppies to gentle seniors, big breeds to tiny companions, I’ve looked after them all — including friends’ and family’s pets who trust me like one of their own. I understand how important their routines are — from feeding times to walks and play. Having trained my own dogs, I bring patience and consistency that helps them feel secure and at ease. I truly love walking, so daily strolls and outdoor adventures are always a highlight. Playtime is just as important, and I make sure every pet feels engaged, happy, and loved while in my care. Whether it’s cuddles on the couch or games in the garden, I treat every furry friend as family. I’m fully available for: • 🐾 Dog walking • 🐾 Home pop-ins • 🐾 Boarding (Thursday through the weekend) Your pup will get plenty of walks, playtime, and love while in my care! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I have a secure, fully fenced back garden with both artificial grass and paved areas, giving dogs plenty of safe space to play and explore. My local area is perfect for walks, with wooded parks and a lake just 10 minutes away for variety and enrichment. I share my home with two friendly French Bulldogs (ages 9 and 2), both crate trained, so I’m very familiar with crate training and have a spare crate available if needed. At night, my two sleep in their crates as they prefer it, but visiting dogs are welcome to free roam if that’s their routine. I also have school aged children so any dogs we board would need to be child friendly. We’re a dog-loving household with plenty of toys, treats, bowls, blankets, and leads on hand if needed. Nothing is ever too much when it comes to caring for your pets. I’ll treat your fur babies as my own, and I’m always happy to adapt to their individual needs — just let me know what makes them happiest!
About: Hi, I am Jenni. I am 22 years old. I came from Hungary. I barely speak in English. I have a 6 years old female dog. We went to dog school and I taught her to turn around, rotate, lend a hand. I can also teach other dogs to these tricks. At first, I deal with the dog individually for a few days. Then if he gets along well with another dog, I would walk two dogs together. I haven’t been able to deal with this favorite job in England yet. And this job does not exist in Hungary, you can only walk the shelter dogs or ask friends if you can take the dog for a walk. I walked with 3 dogs at once. There was wrong with the bad leash. Interestingly, my favorite walking dog was a 70kg mix. Although they were never raised, they did not take a dog for a walk. After 1-2 weeks it was very comfortable to walk the dog. I want to deal with this, this is my dream. I know my lack of English is confusing, but I try. I don't have a routine yet. I recently finished school at Mk College. I usually wake up around 8 in the morning. I take my dog out for a walk and then give him breakfast. He plays in the evening and then has dinner. When I take care of a dog, we play according to the dog’s energy. Or I take it a walk if the owner wishes to. Also if the owner wants to, I can bring my own dog to have playmate.
“Kristina and her partner were excellent. They helped me out with a super last minute booking after an issue with another sitter. They took excellent care of my German Shepherd pup and even gave him a thorough brushing! 100% recommend and would book with again.”

Leanne and her family were so lovely, we instantly knew we could trust her with our fur baby. She's a natural and she has so much love for the doggies, she puts all of her love and care into them. Koko loved her and so did we, Leanne will definitely be our new dog sitter from now. Koko came home do happy and so tired from having the best day ever!!!!!

Perfect dog sitters for Phoebe. Nothing seemed to much trouble! We were so nervous to leave her with someone new but were reassured straight away by seeing a video and pictures of Phoebe playing and relaxing! We will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much :).

Khevana looked after my two dogs, Mango and Truffles, and did a fantastic job. Today, Mango wasn’t feeling well and had diarrhoea, but they handled it without any fuss and kept me updated so I knew he was okay. They’re clearly great with dogs and really care about them. I also really appreciated how flexible they were with timings. I felt completely at ease leaving my two in their care and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
