“My partner and I are really pleased with the care and affection shown to Ziggy during his stay with Erika and her family! We met initially to break the ice between Ziggy and Leilla and they bonded very well. Erika was welcoming and as first time doggy day care goers made us feel at ease and secure knowing he was in safe hands. We have a holiday booked in October and will be happy to return Ziggy in Erika’s care for a longer period. Goes without saying I would recommend Erika to anyone looking for somewhere safe and fun for their furry companions!”

“Skylar was amazing with our puppy and also very flexible with both drop-off and pick-up times! She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent lots of photos as well. Our boy really enjoyed his time with her😊”

“Shay is lovely. We needed a sitter in a hurry and we're lucky Shay was available. Communication was good and she was very accommodating. Enough updates that we knew Laika was ok on her first stay, but not too many. It was in a really hot day, so Shay adapted walks, etc. to make sure laika could keep cool. I'm sure we'll use Shay again.”

“This was our first time with Lai Yan. Kasper really enjoyed his day. Such a clean, comfortable home. Very considerate about Kasper’s needs, caring and gentle and provided a lot of updates and pictures to reassure us. They are very friendly and patient. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.”

About: I have a pet beagle and 2 huskies since 6 years and 3 months. Well trained and disciplinary behaviour make them a good boys :) I am currently unemployed looking for a job, so managing pet care is easy for me! Also, who does not like pups around them ;) Comforting dogs and playing with them has been an experience since a long time now. I can keep your dog engaged and wholesome the whole time.
“Poppy had a lovely first visit with Mandy. She came home relaxed and happy and had obviously been well cared for. Mandy kept in touch with messages and photos which was very reassuring for me. I will happily book Mandy when I need care for Poppy again.”

“Excellent day care for my Jack Russell x, Gaston. Good communication from Simon leading up to the day. I would certainly recommend and be happy to leave Gaston with Simon again.”

About: I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) based in Milton Keynes, offering calm, reliable, and compassionate care for pets of all ages. I’ve spent years working closely with animals, and I love creating a safe, relaxed environment where they feel understood and genuinely cared for. My RVN background means I’m confident supporting pets with medication, senior‑pet needs, post‑operative routines, and recognising early signs of stress or illness. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, elderly, or has specific medical or behavioural needs, I adapt my care to suit them. I can also follow and carry out your training routine. I’m gentle, patient, and very attentive, and I always follow your instructions carefully. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you feel connected and reassured while you’re away. My goal is simple: to treat your pet with the same kindness and respect I’d want for my own. If you’d like to chat or arrange a meet‑and‑greet, I’d be happy to hear from you. I keep a flexible weekly routine, which allows me to fit pet care in comfortably and reliably. I plan my days around the pets I’m looking after, making sure I have plenty of time for walks, visits, and any extra needs. I’m also available for morning walks, which many pets enjoy as part of their routine. I never overbook, so your pet always gets calm, focused attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home: I follow your routines closely so your pet feels secure and settled. I take time to understand their habits, feeding schedule, favourite spots, and any medical or behavioural needs. As an RVN, I’m confident recognising early signs of stress or discomfort, and I always prioritise calm, gentle handling. I keep your home tidy and secure, and I send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in my home: I provide a quiet, relaxed environment with plenty of space for pets to settle in. I only take pets from one family at a time, so your pet receives my full attention and never has to worry about overcrowding or unfamiliar animals. I also have a very friendly resident cat who used to be a clinic cat — he’s calm, social, and used to meeting new animals in a gentle, controlled way. Introductions are always slow and safe, and I only allow interactions if everyone is comfortable. Your pet’s wellbeing comes first. I use my RVN experience to ensure safe handling, clean environments, and careful monitoring, while keeping everything warm, patient, and reassuring. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I aim to create a calm, predictable space where pets feel secure and understood.

“Shreya was so professional and exceptionally clean home! I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with her after having a great meet and greet. This was the first time my baby was away from me so I was very nervous but everything was perfect - loads of updates and beautiful photos! I got my baby back and she was calm and very happy! 5/5 and will certainly use Shreya again! And her own dog Riley was an angel too 😇”

“Orsi looked after my 5-month-old Pomeranian, Oishi, for the day while my husband and I were at work. Oishi is very tiny right now (only 1.3kg!) and Orsi has a beautiful husky dog who was so lovely with Oishi. I received photo and video updates of Oishi throughout the day and had complete confidence that Orsi was looking after him with the best attention and care. Looking forward to booking Oishi in again with Orsi when we're next in need of doggy daycare.”

Leanne and her family were so lovely, we instantly knew we could trust her with our fur baby. She's a natural and she has so much love for the doggies, she puts all of her love and care into them. Koko loved her and so did we, Leanne will definitely be our new dog sitter from now. Koko came home do happy and so tired from having the best day ever!!!!!

Perfect dog sitters for Phoebe. Nothing seemed to much trouble! We were so nervous to leave her with someone new but were reassured straight away by seeing a video and pictures of Phoebe playing and relaxing! We will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much :).

Kristina and her partner were excellent. They helped me out with a super last minute booking after an issue with another sitter. They took excellent care of my German Shepherd pup and even gave him a thorough brushing! 100% recommend and would book with again.

Khevana looked after my two dogs, Mango and Truffles, and did a fantastic job. Today, Mango wasn’t feeling well and had diarrhoea, but they handled it without any fuss and kept me updated so I knew he was okay. They’re clearly great with dogs and really care about them. I also really appreciated how flexible they were with timings. I felt completely at ease leaving my two in their care and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
