“Pedro was great with my dog Tuna. His home is ideally set up with an enclosed garden in a quiet area and Tuna settled there quickly and easily. He communicated well with me and was very accommodating when I needed to collect Tuna later than I originally thought. I would definitely book Pedro again if I was ever in Northampton in the future.”

“As always James is great, gives me peace of my mind that my dog will be well looked after. Took her out 3 times during the day and sent photos of her snoozing and playing out and about, shes runs to go in and isn't so keen on leaving!”

“Teddy was in very good company and the tennis ball we left for the sitter got chewed up good, which we know only happens when our dog is getting ample play time. Thank you for keeping her active and happy.”

“Shreya was so professional and exceptionally clean home! I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with her after having a great meet and greet. This was the first time my baby was away from me so I was very nervous but everything was perfect - loads of updates and beautiful photos! I got my baby back and she was calm and very happy! 5/5 and will certainly use Shreya again! And her own dog Riley was an angel too 😇”

“Craig and Suzanne were great dog sitters for my furbaby Freddie. Chester their dog was gorgeous and has a lovely temperament. They were very relaxed and are clearly very experienced dog sitters. Highly recommended as Freddie had a great time!”

About: My wife and I both grew up with dogs, we've had our own for over 3 years now. We've been sitting dogs via rover for over two years now. We like to take our dogs for a long morning walk, around 5km and a shorter afternoon walk to make sure they're well exercised. My partner and I work mostly remote, there is always one of us at home so we are very flexible with sitting and walking dogs. We have a dog of our own, we always like to have a short introduction first to ensure they get on (we haven't had any rejections yet!). We always walk the dogs at least twice a day: a long walk in the morning and a shorter walk in the afternoon. We have a fenced garden with lawn area for the dogs to sunbath and run around in.
“Charlotte stepped in last minute when I needed a dog sitter for the day and was brilliant! My pup had the best day with lots of play with the two doggies, lots of cuddles and walkies. I could not have asked for more. Thank you Charlotte”

About: Myself and Deeann have always had dogs, they all lived to a good age of 15 . We are early retired couple with plenty of time and love to give. A nice home and fenced garden and local walk areas. We miss our dogs but having a break from ownership for now. We walked our dogs twice a day but would follow your dogs needs from you. We are early retired couple, we have time to look after the needs of your dog / dogs , walk and pet them, keep you informed daily. We have a six foot fenced garden which is secure. Lovely friendly area for dog walking. We have time to care for all there needs.
“Our pup had a wonderful time with Martine even racing to see her on his second day of day care. Super grateful to her for taking such great care of him! The video was soo funny.”

“Excellent day care for my Jack Russell x, Gaston. Good communication from Simon leading up to the day. I would certainly recommend and be happy to leave Gaston with Simon again.”

About: Hi there! I’m Alessandra and mum of a cheeky toy cockapoo Luna. I have always grown up with dogs, so wanted one of my own. Now, I work from home running my own business and Luna is my companion! I fully believe that all dogs that come into my home are treated as part of the family so there is nowhere they aren’t allowed to go. I live in a flat alone but live round the corner from a spacious country park so am available for walks whenever suits your schedule and needs. If your little angel is in my care, they will be treated like one of my own. I currently have my own business and work from home so am fully flexible! I’m available for boarding, walks and day care. I don’t drive unfortunately so I may not be able to travel to you. I have a 18 month old girl toy cockapoo called Luna so am well versed with puppy care. I do not have a garden but I am round the corner from a lovely country park and other green spaces. I have a female puppy Luna who loves to make friends and would love to keep your dog company! Please note: For house sits and dog boarding, Luna will be with me. She’s house trained, doesn’t bark and is super friendly towards other dogs. For drop ins and walks, I can leave Luna at home if your pet loves one to one attention.
About: Hey, I'm Molly, a 29 year old who loves having pups around! I can’t have my own full time at the moment so I love to borrow yours! Growing up we always had rescues, so have had experience building up a bond with the more nervous, wary pets as well as larger, stronger dogs. I love exploring local areas and finding new places to walk. You can be assured of lots of attention for your furry friend, whether they are happy to just chill, play fetch or find the ball or even zoomies. I live in Duston and work 5 minutes away, so I can work to your dogs routine. There are plenty of local parks and countryside not far from our home as well as the forest which is an absolute favourite for dogs. I am: Friendly and trustworthy, have my own Full driving license and own transport I will treat your pup with much love and affection and give them the best care and attention. I usually end up bringing them to the pub, the local cafe, even have been camping before! I offer a free meet and greet consultation at a time that suits you. I can tailor the duration and style of visit for your pets needs. I work in an office so close to my home and we are all flexible workers and able to chop and change hours as needed. As an office which even has dogs in there, we all love them and change our schedules for pets! I have a fenced garden with a nice lawn and lots of sniffable plants, I am also super close to a forest and lots of fields so happy to take your pets where they prefer
“Bobbie was an absolute dream of a pet sitter! From the start, she was warm, professional, and clearly passionate about animals. She took amazing care of Dexter giving him all the love, attention, and cuddles he could ask for. I got regular updates and photos, and it was obvious he was happy, relaxed, and in great hands. It’s such a relief to find someone so trustworthy and kind. Bobbie truly went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Thank you so much!!”

About: Hi, we’re Arno and Sarah! Having grown up surrounded by animals, caring for pets has always been a natural part of our lives. Between us, we’ve had experience with a wide variety of animals over the years. We grew up with dogs, as well as cockatiels, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, a chinchilla and even a pony. As adults, we’ve continued our love of animals and have been proud fur parents to a Cocker Spaniel, several cats and even a hamster. We work from home, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of company, attention and cuddles throughout the day. We understand how reassuring it is to know your pet is with people who are around to keep them happy, settled and treated as part of the family. We’re an active family and absolutely love being outdoors. We regularly head out to woodlands, beaches, parks and countryside footpaths, so your dog can expect plenty of walks, fresh air and adventure if that’s what they enjoy. Equally, we’re happy to adapt to dogs who prefer shorter strolls, slower-paced walks or simply lots of fuss and company at home. We are a busy but loving household made up of two adults, three teenagers and a four-year-old, all of whom have grown up around animals and are confident and respectful with them. One of our teenagers even works in a cattery, so animals are very much part of our everyday life. Our home has both a secure, fully enclosed garden and a separate enclosed yard, providing plenty of safe outdoor space for your dog to explore, play and relax. We also have a very friendly Cocker Spaniel who enjoys the company of other dogs, and our cat is well accustomed to canine visitors and happily keeps out of the way when he chooses. For everyone’s comfort and safety, we’d ideally like to welcome dogs that are comfortable around cats and aren’t inclined to chase them. We know that every pet has its own personality, routine and quirks, and we’ll always take the time to follow your instructions so your dog feels as settled, safe and loved as possible while you’re away. We’ll happily send regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, having fun and being cared for as if they were one of our own. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or to arrange a meet and greet, we look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members! We work from home, so your pet will have plenty of company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. Our schedules are very flexible, and when we do need to pop out, we can ensure we are away for no more than around three hours at a time. This means your dog can enjoy a calm, settled environment with lots of companionship, attention and reassurance while you’re away. We have both a secure, fully enclosed garden and a separate enclosed courtyard, providing plenty of safe outdoor space for your dog to explore, play and relax.

I am so glad we found Ruby and Daniel. Parker has some separation anxiety but this is the second time we left her and she came home happy and exhausted from a great walk. She looked so happy in her pics, so I know she wasn’t just waiting around for us and actually had a full day of exploring and being cared for.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
