About: I’ve had dogs all my life. Growing up on a farm I have always been surrounded by animals and at least 2/3 dogs minimum. Most recently we had our own rescue dog who had a variety of health and behavioural needs. But we managed to train him up, build his confidence and he led a happy life. Unfortunately he has now passed away and we made the decision with two young kids not to tie ourselves down to having a dog full time; so this seemed like a perfect solution. I love the idea of my kids growing up around dogs and animals; they are already used to all my extended families dogs, including two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, so they are used to big dogs. Rest assured there will be plenty of cuddles and attention for any dogs that stay with us. I work from home full time and we have plenty of space in the house and the garden. I work full time at home and am off work every Friday. Weekends tend to be orientated around getting the kids outside; which generally includes going out on their bikes, round the woods and on walks. I have a fenced in garden and am happy to accommodate to any rules/ boundaries you prefer to set. I ensure they get plenty of exercise while also allowing them to sniff and explore their environment, as that’s just as crucial as letting them run freely. One of my favorite activities is playing the “find it” game with treats. It’s a fantastic way to help them settle down after all the excitement of running around! I have a certificate of attendance that I have completed a CPD accredited activity in dog first aid and emergency canine care. I also carry a first kit around with me. As I'm currently living in a flat sadly I don't have a dog of my own but do have 3 fishes all named Gus! Known as the Gus's my wonderful guppy fish. Along side my fish I also share custody of the family dog Pumba (mini Yorkie 11 years old!) who is a lovable dog but lacks a braincell expect when it comes to food! About: Growing up I’ve always been around dogs, from little chihuahua‘s to Great Danes. I frequently dog sit my grandparents yorkie when they go away, and shes old and a little reactive. About: I've had dogs since I was about 10, with a variety of breeds including a bearded collie, retrievers, a cross-bred rescue and my all time favourites, labradors. I enjoyed helping my parents train guide dogs too, and have used those skills many times over the years, helping train friend’s dogs when there was a need. I've also got plenty of experience looking after other people's dogs, as friends have often asked me to either babysit, drop in or fully take in their dogs when they've been away, something I've always been very happy to do, the latest being a fun mix with a shitshu with attitude and his very laid back buddy, an Alsatian😄 I don't have dogs of my own at the moment, however I would love to help other dogs if needed and is something I really enjoy doing, sometimes along with my partner. We are both very outdoorsy and love a dog walk, in all weathers! I'm available to help with any services for dogs at weekends (Fri evenings through to Sunday evenings) as I work full time in the week. We live in a house which has a large enclosed garden, and at all times, the utmost care is obviously given, with all rules and requests strictly adhered to. Photos will happily be provided, and I aim to please! As far as I'm concerned, anything else is unacceptable, as it's how I'd want my pets looked after.
