“I really didn’t want to leave my little puppy as she’s only 4 months but circumstances forced me to take the plunge. I felt very anxious about the whole situation. Sara invited me (and my puppy) to a ‘Meet and Greet’ session. It was very relaxed. We met her resident dog and others she had in her care. They all seemed relaxed and happy. I felt happier now I’d met with Sara and checked out the environment in which I’d be leaving my young dog. Well, if Martha (my puppy) could talk I know she’d be saying what a fab time she’d had. She loved being with the other dogs. Sara took them all on a couple of adventures during the day. When I picked her up she looked really tired and is now snoring the rest of the afternoon away. Sara said ‘she’d been really good’. Mmm, I wonder - my little pup can be a pickle at times!!! 😊 I was sent updates, pictures and videos of the day. I highly recommend Sara! “I didn't actually meet Nicole myself as our dog Juno was staying with friends while we were on holiday and needed cover for 1 day during this period. However, my friends said that Nicole was very lovely with a beautiful home. All the interactions I had with Nicole were great, she was really thorough by asking about Juno in advance, and there was a lovely photo on the report card in which Juno looked very happy. She also very kindly walked Juno early in the day to avoid the heat which was very thoughtful and appreciated. I would thoroughly recommend Nicole!”

About: I offer a pet friendly home with our un neutered Spinger Spaniel Billy and 2 cats, right next door to a large woodland (under 5 min walk). I have been taken care of dogs for friends and family for over 5 years. With my neighbours dog as regular visitor on weekdays and holiday visits from various other spaniels and terriers across the year all whom have been visiting since very small puppies. I’m experienced with puppies, middle age and older dogs. I work from home, so no dog are ever left alone and if they are staying over your pet will have its own room and bed. There are no furniture rules in this house we all cuddle up on sofas together and become one of the family. I walk in the woods 2/3 times a day for dogs that need to burn out that excessive engergy. However if your dog would prefer to just cudddle up with me on an electric blanket then this also if always on offer. I work from home everyday. As I have a spaniel, regular walks are part our daily routine, morning, afternoon and if it is a nice evening sometimes in the evening. I’m home most weekends and wouldn’t accept your request if i were to be away. I have a back garden that’s fenced in and big back doors so access when ever required. I own a friendly springer spaniel and 2 cats. I live next to the woods so if your dog does need some energy burning off, this can be easily be arranged.

About: I'm Michelle - The heart behind wag along. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with family dogs and learned from an early age just how much love, loyalty and joy they bring into our lives. That lifelong connection is what inspired me to create Wag Along - a dog care service built on trust, kindness and genuine passion. I share my home with my two dogs Belle and Wilson, both of whom are rescues. They have completely stolen my heart and remind me every day how important patience, understanding and routine are for a dog's wellbeing. I am qualified in dog first aid, certified by Hertfordshire Dog First Aid. Pet care is carefully built around my routine. I currently work part-time, which allows me to dedicate plenty of quality time to the dogs in my care. When I’m not at home, my husband is here to ensure they’re never left alone for long and always have supervision, comfort and company. Our day includes structured walks, feeding times, play, enrichment and lots of affection, all within a calm, home-from-home environment. We keep numbers limited so every dog receives the attention and care they deserve. We have a fully secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely play and explore. At home, we have two friendly resident dogs who provide company and companionship, helping visiting dogs feel settled and part of the family. All introductions are done carefully to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
