About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, including my own Jack Russell, and I’m confident caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, and those who are nervous, reactive, or need a bit of extra support, so I always tailor my approach to each individual dog. I work from home full time, so your dog will have consistent company and supervision throughout the day. My schedule is flexible and I keep my calendar up to date, so I can often accommodate bookings at short notice. I provide care in a calm, secure home with a large fully fenced garden and no other pets, so your dog will have a safe, relaxed space and my full attention. I only care for one household at a time and follow your dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled and comfortable.
About: I've had dogs and cats by my side since childhood. From the playful energy of my Cocker Spaniel and the loyal companionship of two Rottweilers growing up, to the delightful personality of my current Mini Dachshund, Delta, my experience spans a variety of breeds and temperaments. Your furry family member will enjoy a safe and fun environment here or within your own home. If you choose to have your pet watched in my home, we have a small but fully secure, fenced garden with a astroturf area – perfect for playtime and potty breaks. Plus, I'm lucky to live by open green spaces, ideal for walks and exploring. My Delta gets along with all dogs, big or small, so your pet will have a friendly canine companion to keep them company and entertained. **On Mondays and Tuesdays I'm only available after 3pm** Since I work full-time from my home, your beloved pet will truly never be alone, enjoying round-the-clock companionship, cuddles, and dedicated care throughout their stay I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. So I always welcome meet-and-greets beforehand. It's the perfect chance for you and your pet to get to know me and see my home, ensuring complete peace of mind.
“Nelson has a wonderful time with Samantha and comes home happy and exhausted. Samantha and her family are welcoming and flexible, making regular daycare really easy. Highly recommend”

“Snowy came home content and calm. She'd clearly been cared for really well by Casey. Casey is reliable; communication is excellent. Thank you very much, we will definitely be asking for more days!”

“We needed someone to have Preston for a long day out to London. It was pretty short notice but Alan sorted it for us. He took Preston out for a nice long walk & Preston ate all his dinner so he must have been relaxed. Alan sent us photos of Preston out on his walk & sleeping peacefully after. Will definitely use Alan again.”
“Thea, Theo, and their friendly dog, Poppy, made our Chilli feel very welcome. Chilli is a friendly but timid dog, but after the first day with this family, she ran in, wagging her tail. I would wholeheartedly recommend Thea if you need a dog sitter. Outstanding service and very responsive. Thank you very much, Thea!”

“Agnes provided friendly service and a warm welcome for my pet dog. She has a spacious garden to keep dogs active for throw and retrieve games, and lives near a good area for walks. I was provided with photo updates throughout the day. It was evident upon collection that my dog had been well looked, thank you Agnes”

About: I am a general animal lover of all kinds and have been looking after other people’s pets since I was a young teen. I have a Cat, hamster and tortoise of my own currently which I adore! I have looked after a variety of animals for friends and family and can offer a friendly, kind and professional service. I have recently moved to the Aylesbury area with partner. Whilst he is at work I am looking to fill some of my day with looking after animals in the local area and keep busy. I have completed a diploma in animal care and along with my personal experience of owning animals I can offer a friendly, kind, calm service to you and your pets.
“Amazing from start to finish. Really good communication and lots of lovely photos and videos through the day. Frank seemed really happy and loved his day with Gemma and family. Would definitely recommend Gemma and will definitely be using her again.”

About: I have worked for the last 8 years in RSPCA animal care and have owned my own dog for over 25 years. During my time as a police officer I was a police dog puppy socialiser and later for the Hearing Dogs for the deaf. I often look after friends and family dogs and live in a rural location with easy access to lovely country walks. DBS checked. I currently work part time so I have lots of time to look after, visit or walk your pet. Available weekends and / or weekdays. I am happy to look after your pet in their own home or mine. DBS checked. Former police officer. I have a fenced garden in a rural location so easy access to quiet country walks. I have a 4 year old female neutered cocker spaniel.
About: I love all dogs and have owned many breeds. I am comfortable playing with my Dad’s Pomeranian or my sisters Staffordshire bull terrier. I grew up with jack russells and setters. I love making sure they have a good run around and also get to play indoors and are kept engaged. I love cuddles on the sofa and making sure they got lots of attention. I’m fit and active and can make sure they have a good walk. I’m a dog lover currently inbetween jobs (and usually work from home or in a hybrid capacity) so am fully available at home and living next to a park. I am in a ground floor flat so White Hill park is technically my garden. I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently live vicariously through helping friends and family with theirs. I miss the cuddles, playing and company of dogs so being able to help people with theirs perfectly aligns with my current schedule. I don’t drive but the park is right outside. Although I have access to a car if need be. I live in a ground floor flat with the security door just outside my front door so there are no safety/escape issues. I can let them out for the toilet whenever they need it. I have throws on my sofa so dogs are welcome on my furniture. I’ve always considered dogs part of the family so I don’t mind them on the sofa. My flat is quite big so there is plenty of room for their beds, crates and toys - whatever the owners preference.
“Margarita and her family are lovely, really friendly and its clear Loki enjoyed his stay and playing with Daisy, would 100% recommend! Thank you so much and no doubt will see you soon ❤️”

“Sam and her daughters are so lovely! They took care of my dog as if she was their own. I was happy knowing that my pup had a great family to play with rather than being stuck at home by herself. I'd highly recommend her and I've already rebooked! Thanks Sam!”

“Glad I found Simon as a sitter. He was super responsive in his communications. He was also really accommodating to slight changes in my timings. Hugo had a great day and I felt really comfortable leaving Hugo with Simon and his family.”

“Emily and her family were fantastic. We do worry about leaving our Roman with strangers as he is a large boisterous dog and most will naturally jump to the conclusion that he isn’t a nice dog because of his looks! But knowing that he would be playing with two labradors and Emily’s reassurance that he’d be in good hands made us feel confident in his stay with them. Emily also sent frequent photos and videos showing he was having a whale of a time in the paddling pool (when he usually hates water!) ? definitely happy for Roman to stay here again!”

About: We have been working on rover for the last couple of years and have loved it! Please note, we can only look after dogs that are fully house trained and able to be left alone for up to 4 hours due to working commitments. We live in a first floor flat, with a large garden at the back of the flats. This has never been an issue and any dog we look after are taken out regularly for a toilet break! We look forward to hearing from you! Jess and Ben x Myself and my partner, Ben, work full time and can be in the office a lot.. However I am able to come back on lunch breaks to take any dogs out and of course we will be here in the evening for cuddles! Therefore we are only able to take bookings for dogs who are used to be at home during the day on their own for around 4 hours at a time. Although we live in a flat, we are on the first floor so it is very easy for us to get out and about with the dog. We have a grassed area behind our flat for regular toilet breaks and are very local to parks etc.

Rebecca and her partner was amazing with my elderly pug Alfie, especially as it was a last-minute booking and his first time with her. She was great with calming him down and when he finally settled he had endless cuddles while sleeping on her lap which benefited them both 🙂 He came home happy and chilled, which is a big deal for him and me! Would definitely recommend Rebecca and use her again when our regular sitter is unavailable Thank you again for looking after Alfie so well x

From the very start, it was clear how kind, patient, and genuinely caring Heather is. Our little dachshund, Dottie, can be quite nervous and takes time to warm up to new people, but she was handled with such calm reassurance that Dottie soon settled in. Heather kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease and showed just how relaxed and happy Dottie had become in her care. It was so reassuring to see her settling in, getting comfortable, and enjoying herself—something we don’t take for granted. When Dots returned, she was content, well cared for, and clearly had been treated with real affection. It’s such a relief to know we’ve found someone we can trust with her. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Heather to anyone! Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of Dottie 🐕

Alan was incredibly helpful in caring for Noah at daycare, especially as he accepted my last-minute request. He made sure Noah was comfortable, happy, and well looked after throughout the day. I truly appreciate his flexibility and care—thank you so much, Alan!.
Thea was very accommodating and arranged to meet me and my dog before agreeing to look after him for the day. Our 9 month old dachshund puppy had a great time and was very happy and tired when he came home. Thea kept us updated throughout the day. She is highly recommended 🙂

We have returned to Gemma after Gimli had such a brilliant experience the first time. Gemma made the second time just as easy and fun. Gemma provides regular updates through photos and video, is really flexible and accommodating and Gimli loves coming to see her (once he gets over his anxiety of us going, which Gemma handles so well) as long as Gemma will have Gimli we will keep going back. Can’t recommend enough.

Well, was my first time that i have to use a dog sitter to looking after my Senna. I have to say that I was very worried but since my first contact with Kimberley and Keith, they made me feel so confident that Senna would be i good hands. They were amazing always sending me photos of Senna. Definitely, I will book them again. Thank you for looking after my Senna.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
