About: Our family has both grown up with dogs, big and small, from shitzu & King Charles to border collie & golden retriever. We have a lovely village home with a v large garden, 2 beautiful girls (5,11) and a super friendly Labrador retriever (female). I have attended lots of training classes with her to refresh and update my knowledge and experience with dogs, I understand that every dog is different, and each have their own personalities and needs. I would love to be able to offer my home to take care of your dog whilst you are away. I understand that all we need to go away at some point and can’t take our beloved pets with us but we want to ensure they are left in a safe and loving, secure home! We would ask to meet your dog before we confirm any stays to ensure we are a good fit for you & your pet and vice versa! I work from home full time with the company of our lab retriever. We enjoy walks at lunchtime and/or the evening depending onfamily life, and our two kids also keep our lab on her toes with games in the house or fetch down our very large garden! Our lab thrives on the company of other friendly dogs and she loves to play! I am fully aware that dogs need lots of enrichment & mental stimulation as well as exercise, love and attention and that’s what I would offer your dog too, especially as I understand it can be stressful for a pet (and their owner!) to be away from their home, in a new place with new people! Happy to keep you updated with regular pics & videos! If you need certain training cues to be maintained, we are happy to discuss & carry this on too as we appreciate consistency & repetition is key! We have a fully fenced secure back garden - paved and lawn - 170 foot long where your dog will have free rein to run, play, explore, enjoy a game of fetch or find it …. or just simply chill & sunbathe! We have a large open plan kitchen/diner and living room where your pet will be treated like one of the family - from naps in front of the log burner, playing with the kids, or just keeping us company in from of the tv. Our dog sleeps in her crate at night and we would ask you to bring your pets crate too. We live on a quiet cul de sac in a small village in the countryside & we are spoilt for choice with open fields and rights of way (our house being located on one!) & allotments to the rear, as well as having the local park 3 mins walk from our house - all of which offer long, leisurely walks with lots of sniffing opportunities. Your dog may even like to join us in a visit to our local pub which is very dog friendly & where the dog biscuit tin is always full! Our children love animals and treat them like their best friends with lots of love, care and attention!

I am freelance and I have plenty of time during the day to look after your pets. I can come to your house or can host your pets at mine. Happy to tailor to your pets needs on an individual basis. I’m an active person and will be out regularly walking the dogs and showing them attention. My flat is large and spacious and homely, despite not having a garden I will take your animals out very often for walks and they will be cared for in the best way. Sometimes my children are around they are 8 and 11 years old.

About: I'm Michelle - The heart behind wag along. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with family dogs and learned from an early age just how much love, loyalty and joy they bring into our lives. That lifelong connection is what inspired me to create Wag Along - a dog care service built on trust, kindness and genuine passion. I share my home with my two dogs Belle and Wilson, both of whom are rescues. They have completely stolen my heart and remind me every day how important patience, understanding and routine are for a dog's wellbeing. I am qualified in dog first aid, certified by Hertfordshire Dog First Aid. Pet care is carefully built around my routine. I currently work part-time, which allows me to dedicate plenty of quality time to the dogs in my care. When I’m not at home, my husband is here to ensure they’re never left alone for long and always have supervision, comfort and company. Our day includes structured walks, feeding times, play, enrichment and lots of affection, all within a calm, home-from-home environment. We keep numbers limited so every dog receives the attention and care they deserve. We have a fully secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely play and explore. At home, we have two friendly resident dogs who provide company and companionship, helping visiting dogs feel settled and part of the family. All introductions are done carefully to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.

About: We have 2 children (aged 10 and 8) who are massive animal lovers. I grew up with dogs, my first dog was when I was 2. Ben was my best friend and I helped to look after him in his old, poorly age. I have also had a dalmatian and collie cross - high energy dogs! My husband, Steve, works from home and has looked after dogs for many years. We currently have the most friendly golden retriever who LOVES other dogs! We have 2 cats, who stay out of the way, and 2 rats, who are nosey and love coming to say hello at the edge of the cage. All dogs need to be child friendly, as our two children will actively help to look after any visitors, with lots of play time and cuddles! Either myself or Steve will be the main caregiver to your fur baby. My husband works from home and our children's school is walking distance. The backdoor is always open so there is free flow to the enclosed garden. Lots of play time, cuddles and walks will be offered throughout the day. We have an enclosed garden offering lots of place to play. We have a golden retriever who loves other dogs and will offer lots of company.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, including my own Jack Russell, and I’m confident caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, and those who are nervous, reactive, or need a bit of extra support, so I always tailor my approach to each individual dog. ***I currently have 2 cats and a dog living with me part time, availability will always depend on this*** I have just changed from being fully remote to working in the office twice a week though this is very flexible. Your dog will have consistent company and supervision throughout the day, with walks and lots of time to play. I live on my own so your dog will always have lots of love and attention. My schedule is flexible and I keep my calendar up to date, so I can often accommodate bookings at short notice. I provide care in a calm, secure home with a large fully fenced garden and no other pets, so your dog will have a safe, relaxed space and my full attention. I only care for one household at a time and follow your dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled and comfortable. I have vast experience looking after dogs with behavioral issues, health problems and other various needs.

About: I love all dogs and have owned many breeds. I am comfortable playing with my Dad’s Pomeranian or my sisters Staffordshire bull terrier. I grew up with jack russells and setters. I love making sure they have a good run around and also get to play indoors and are kept engaged. I love cuddles on the sofa and making sure they got lots of attention. I’m fit and active and can make sure they have a good walk. I’m a dog lover currently inbetween jobs (and usually work from home or in a hybrid capacity) so am fully available at home and living next to a park. I am in a ground floor flat so White Hill park is technically my garden. I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently live vicariously through helping friends and family with theirs. I miss the cuddles, playing and company of dogs so being able to help people with theirs perfectly aligns with my current schedule. I don’t drive but the park is right outside. Although I have access to a car if need be. I live in a ground floor flat with the security door just outside my front door so there are no safety/escape issues. I can let them out for the toilet whenever they need it. I have throws on my sofa so dogs are welcome on my furniture. I’ve always considered dogs part of the family so I don’t mind them on the sofa. My flat is quite big so there is plenty of room for their beds, crates and toys - whatever the owners preference.
