Pet care experience

Walks, cuddles and play every day

I treat every pet like part of the family—whether that means long walks, cuddles on the sofa, or keeping to their exact routine for comfort and consistency. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and genuine love for animals of all ages and temperaments. I have hands-on experience with both puppies and senior dogs, so I’m confident handling toilet training, basic commands, and administering medication when needed. I also understand how important it is to keep owners updated, so I always send regular photos and updates for peace of mind. Your pet’s happiness and safety are always my top priorities! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine as I work from home, so I’m around all day to give your pet the attention, love, and care they deserve. I can easily stick to their usual schedule—whether that’s morning walks, playtime, feeding, or just some relaxed company throughout the day. We also have our own dog, Bailey, a super friendly Cavachon who loves making new doggy friends! She’s gentle, well-socialised, and always happy to have a playmate around. Your dog will feel right at home here with lots of company, cuddles, and fun. Our home is calm, welcoming, and dog-friendly, with a lovely big secure garden for safe outdoor play. We also have a dog flap, so your pup can enjoy easy access to the garden throughout the day whenever they fancy a bit of fresh air or playtime. When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I make sure their usual routine is followed as closely as possible—whether it’s specific feeding times, walk schedules, or favourite toys and habits—to help them feel safe, settled, and comfortable. Whether your dog enjoys playtime with Bailey or prefers quiet snuggles, I’ll make sure they get the attention, care, and love they need while you’re away.

We hadn’t left Winnie overnight before but Gemma was so kind and understanding. She sent me updates during the weekend, so I could check Winnie was ok. Would definitely be happy for Winnie to stay with Gemma again. She did say the same 😂X

Gemma is a an excellent dog sitter. It’s the first time we’ve used her and we’d happily leave Macy with her again. She was very communicative, wanted to know how best to make Macy feel happy and comfortable in her house and took her for daily walks. I’d comfortably recommend her. Macy had a great time!

We have returned to Gemma after Gimli had such a brilliant experience the first time. Gemma made the second time just as easy and fun. Gemma provides regular updates through photos and video, is really flexible and accommodating and Gimli loves coming to see her (once he gets over his anxiety of us going, which Gemma handles so well) as long as Gemma will have Gimli we will keep going back. Can’t recommend enough.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I make sure their usual routine is followed as closely as possible—whether it’s specific feeding times, walk schedules, or favourite toys and habits—to help them feel safe, settled, and comfortable. I work from home full-time, so your dog will have company throughout the day and never be left alone for long. Our home is calm, welcoming, and dog-friendly, with a large secure garden for safe outdoor play. We also have our own dog, Bailey—a friendly and gentle Cavachon who loves meeting new dogs and makes a great companion for visiting pups. Whether your dog enjoys playtime or prefers quiet snuggles, I’ll make sure they get the attention, care, and love they need while you’re away.

Pets

A typical day

Every day is an adventure here! I love keeping pets happy and active with a mix of fun and relaxation, tailored to their personality and energy level. For dogs who love to explore, we’ll go on local walks full of sights and smells to keep their tails wagging. If they enjoy playtime, there’s plenty of space in the garden for fetch, chase, or tug-of-war. Inside, there’s always time for cuddles, puzzle toys, or just lounging with some gentle company—whatever your dog enjoys most. And with our friendly Cavachon, Bailey, around, there’s always the chance for a new friendship and some playful socialising (if your dog is up for it!).

To give your pet the best possible care, it’s really helpful to know a few key things in advance: • Their daily routine – feeding times, walk preferences, and any habits they’re used to • Temperament – how they are with other dogs, new people, or being left alone (even briefly) • Any medical needs – allergies, medications, or health conditions • Triggers or fears – like loud noises, other animals, or separation anxiety • House rules – whether they’re allowed on the sofa, need to stay on-lead etc. I want your pet to feel as safe and settled as possible while they’re with me, so the more I know, the better I can make it feel like home for them!
