About: We are a friendly couple (Me & Ying)based in Oxford who genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. We offer a calm, clean and quiet home environment, ideal for small or well-behaved dogs. We both have flexible schedules and can give pets lots of attention, companionship and regular walks. We understand how important it is for owners to feel relaxed while away, so we’re happy to provide photo updates and maintain your dog’s normal routine as much as possible. We currently only accept one family’s pets at a time to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable and well cared for. We both work part-time and have flexible schedules, so there is usually at least one of us at home during the day to keep pets company and give them attention. We enjoy quiet daily routines and regular walks, and we’re happy to take dogs to nearby parks for exercise and fresh air. We are a non-smoking household and aim to provide a calm and relaxed environment for every pet. We provide a clean, quiet and safe home environment for pets. We only accept one family’s pets at a time so each dog can receive individual care and attention. We follow each owner’s routines and instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking habits and sleeping arrangements. Dogs are welcome on the sofa, but not on the bed. We’re also happy to send regular photo updates during their stay.

About: I have been a dedicated dog owner for over 6 years, raising my own Border Collie from a puppy. Living with and managing one of the most intelligent and high-energy breeds has given me an extensive understanding of dog behavior, body language, and stimulation needs. I am highly experienced in scientific, positive reinforcement training methods and have extensive hands-on experience training puppies. I understand the patience, consistency, and clear communication required to help dogs thrive. Whether your dog needs structured walks or engaging mental stimulation games to burn off energy, I can provide a safe and rewarding environment. I am reliable, deeply responsible, and committed to tailored care that matches your dog's unique personality and routine. Having recently completed my Master's degree, I am currently in a transitional phase looking for jobs, which gives me a highly flexible schedule and plenty of free time every day. I maintain a very structured and regular daily routine. Because I don't have a rigid 9-to-5 commitment at the moment, I can easily adapt to your pet's specific schedule, making sure I am available for walks, feeding, and check-ins exactly when they need me most throughout the week. When caring for pets in their own homes, safety and trust are my top priorities. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, and maintain excellent personal hygiene habits, ensuring your home is respected and kept tidy. Having raised my own pets, I am extremely vigilant about safety, always making sure doors/gates are securely locked, checking that no hazardous items are within reach, and keeping dogs securely leashed during outdoor walks. I will strictly follow your household rules and pet routines to create a safe, stress-free experience.

About: I have spent most of my life rescuing cats and dogs and finding them homes. Animals have always been a big part of my life and heart and I have always looked for opportunities to spend as much time in their presence. I am currently volunteering at a cats rescue as this brings me closer to the work I used to do growing up. I do however have a softer spot for dogs as they fill me with joy more than anything else in this world. I am currently a university student but only have class two days a week. Besides studying, I love spending my free time outside so walking dogs is the perfect way to keep me busy when I am not at university. I am unable to accept pets into my current space due to my renting contract, therefore I am only able to offer dog walking services

About: Hi I love dogs and can take a good care of dogs while I work from home. I have a friendly and active cockapoo 🐶 He is also chill at home so he can be a good company for your dog. I have more experiences in handling small to medium dogs. Your dog with me will: 🐕 have walks around 8am, 1pm, and 7pm 😴 fully rest between walks 🥨 have snacks once between in the afternoon 🍴eat 1-3 times a day as your instruction 🌷play and peepeepoopoo in the garden I had a dog for 16 years before and love to spend time with pets. Your dog will have fun walks and some restful time between the walks! I will send photo updates throughout the stay. I am flexible in work hours and mostly work from home. So I can dog sit a day with my puppy - my dog has three meals and walks 2-3 times a day. There’s a garden where dogs can play at mine. I go to a walking/green area for a dog walk that’s just by my house. I can talk a dog out for a walk with my dog and take a care of a dog while I work from home.

About: Hi! I'm Grazia. I quite simply revolve my life around animals. I have extensive, hands-on experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, and horses, and one of my defining characteristics is being a little (okay, a lot) obsessed with them. Everyone in the Arctic knows me as the person who took her bunnies to the wilds of the North Pole because she didn't trust a petsitter would love them enough - so I know exactly what it's like to leave your babies with someone else. My main qualities: I give tons of affection (always tailored to each animal's character), I'm incredibly patient and reliable, flexible in emergencies - and I believe strongly in VIDEO calls and very frequent updates, because a video tells you whether your pet is truly happy in a way a photo simply can't. It's what I'd want for my own. I love to build longer-term friendships and relationships with locals and the animals I care for. A bit about my experience: I'm known for having rehabbed both a difficult/blind cat and a dog — helping them learn to trust and love again through sitting quietly for hours each day while they came to understand that love was available entirely on their own terms. I adore dogs of all sizes and love exercising them and making them feel free. I have personally had 2 dogs (and many wonderful dog sit experiences), 11 cats, and 2 bunnies. I've volunteered for 1.5 years across dog shelters. I've also dealt with pets with behavioural challenges while caring for animals in Amsterdam, and managed to create several breakthroughs that had previously stumped their guardians. Our bunnies in Sweden had previously taken over our lives in the most wonderful way - owning 2 private bedrooms and a 3,500 sqm garden. Anyone who has cared for bunnies properly knows they are extremely sensitive but strong little creatures who need space, quiet, and extraordinary patience - so I'm well-equipped for even the most challenging characters. I also have extensive home-care experience from years of staying in others' homes, and multiple glowing Airbnb and TrustedHousesitters references. I treat every home with more care and respect than my own; it's simply how I show respect. A few practical notes: - Non-smoker, non-drinker - Fully comfortable administering medication and have experience with 12-hour overnight tummy massages that have avoided vet visits (yes, really 🙂) - Very communicative - I believe in keeping communication fully open, always! - I'm not comfortable sitting animals kept in cages unless strictly for medical reasons (this includes caged bunnies) - Harry Potter fan ⚡ I'd love to offer you a video call and meet up before we begin! Vibes matter enormously to me, and I'm genuinely hoping to become a temporary (and lasting) part of your animal's family. I'll treat the little (or big) ones accordingly - and provide the confidence, warmth, kindness, communication and professionalism to ensure you're never left guessing. I work from home building my 2 organisations; one is for brain health and the other is an animal rights movement. Therefore, I'd have plenty of time to play with the babies. In fact, I orient my whole day around cuddle o'clock, training and walkies. I have a fenced garden and can provide flexible accommodation in terms of your preferences. My only restrictions would be cage-only sits - and if your pet allows, I am kind of in love with playing, jumping with and cuddling dogs, allowing cats to sleep on me for hours (obviously you then cannot move) and even taming bunnies.

About: Dog obsessed and experienced with dogs of all temperaments. I’ve been walking dogs for over 16 years for clients, friends, and family, as well as volunteering at a dog rescue where I worked and trained with shy and reactive dogs. I’ve also owned a Romanian rescue dog for the past 5 years, which has given me hands-on experience and training in handling reactivity, building trust, and creating calm, positive walks tailored to each dog’s needs. I'm currently working from home so my schedule is very flexible and can walk your dog whenever suits you and your furry friend. I am available Mon-Fri and most weekends. I have a fully fenced secure garden and live close to lots of lovely areas to walk and play. Love to go for long walks and go for some adventures!

About: Growing up surrounded by animals has given me a lifelong passion for pet care. Since I was just 8 months old, I have lived with and helped care for dogs, cats, turtles, birds, rabbits, chickens, and ducks throughout my childhood and beyond. This experience has taught me how to understand and care for a wide variety of pets from a very young age. As a pet owner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to leave your furry family member behind when travelling for work, a holiday, or other commitments. Even when you're meant to be relaxing, it's natural to worry about whether your pet is happy, safe, and receiving the care they deserve. My goal is to help give pet owners peace of mind, knowing their beloved companion is being cared for as if they were my own. Working/teaching from home most of the time gives me the flexibility and availability to provide attentive care throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and take the time to get to know each pet's unique personality, routines, and needs. I believe good communication is important, and I'll always keep you updated so you can feel confident and reassured while you're away. Your dog's physical and mental wellbeing is my priority. I will ensure they receive plenty of exercise through walks, playtime, and enrichment activities, along with lots of attention, affection, and companionship. Whether it's for daycare or overnight boarding, I sincerely hope to create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where your fur baby feels happy, secure, and right at home. As I mostly work and teach from home, I have plenty of time to spend with your pet throughout the day. Whether it's playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I'll make sure they're getting the attention and companionship they need. My aim is for your fur baby to feel loved, comfortable, and part of the family while they're in my care. I have a fully fenced garden, providing a safe and secure outdoor space for your dog to enjoy. While in my care, your pet will be treated like part of the family and will be free to spend time with me around the house rather than being confined to one area. At the same time, being a pet owner for donkeys years helps me to understand that all pets are different, for example, some dogs enjoy having their own space to relax and unwind. For this reason, I will provide a spacious crate with a comfortable bed in a quiet room, with the door left open so they can come and go as they please. This gives them a cosy retreat whenever they would like some alone time, rest, or a peaceful nap.

About: I have been surrounded by dogs since I'm very young. My passion for dogs has always been strong and I'm my happiest self when I'm around them! I have a family dog at home, a cocker spaniel, who's 13 years old and that unfortunately I don't see regularly due to me living in the UK for 8 years now. Before moving to England, I looked after him, walked him multiple times a day and played nonstop! I miss him dearly and I would love to give the same treatment to other dogs out there. If you give me an opportunity I would put my heart in this and you won't regret it. I'm currently studying my last year at uni, and I really miss being around my dog, who is with my family in Spain, so I thought it would be a good idea to give my love to other dogs meanwhile! I work only one day a week, on Sundays, I have Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays available. And if you need for me to take care of you dog at night I would also be able to! I would love to spend my free time being around dogs and taking care of them as if it was my own! Although I live in a small flat and I don't have garden or terrace, I do live near big fields here in cumnor hill so I can give long walks! I can travel by bus or walk and I would be more than happy to, if you need me to go to yours.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Oxford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Oxford on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,615 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Oxford. About 88% of Oxford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Oxford commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
