He's young, strong, and pulls quite a bit on the lead but she handled him beautifully, taking treats and a clicker to train him on the walks and taking him for long runs too to tire him out. About: 🎁 New to Rover? You can use my promo code MELANC83945 to get £15 off your first booking with me. 🐾 Hello there! I’m Melanie - a young professional and Oxford graduate, now happily settled in the area. I’ve always loved animals and it would be my greatest pleasure to care for your pets as if they were my own. I’ve recently looked after an elderly French Bulldog, a sick Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, an older Chocolate Labrador, and four cats - including extended stays. I’m comfortable with senior pets and those needing a little extra care and attention. As I often work from home, I can offer flexible hours, plenty of company, and attentive supervision throughout the day. I also have a small fenced garden for quick outdoor needs and easy access to great walking routes including South Park and Headington Hill Park which are just around the corner! Your pets will be treated with genuine care, patience, and lots of affection - I look forward to meeting them! 🐾 I mostly work from home, which means I’m available to settle pets in comfortably and take them out for walks whenever needed. I’m also typically home on weekends and enjoy going for walks, so your pet can benefit from both relaxed indoor time and outdoor exercise. My home has a small fenced garden for quick or urgent needs, as well as two floors, giving pets plenty of safe space to explore and feel at ease. 🐾 My home provides a safe and comfortable environment for your pet, with a securely fenced garden for quick outdoor needs and a spacious two-floor layout where they can roam and relax under supervision. I’m fortunate to live close to South Park, as well as another park right beside it, offering lovely, open spaces for calm and enjoyable walks. Above all, I prioritise creating a trusting, loving atmosphere - with plenty of cuddles, affection, and attentive care - while ensuring your dog gets the exercise and companionship they need (and I happily welcome the extra fresh air while working from home!). 🐾
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have three at home, so I’m very comfortable around different breeds, sizes and personalities. I’m used to feeding, walking and spending time with dogs daily, and I genuinely enjoy being around them. I’m active and love being outdoors, so I’m happy to take dogs on long walks and keep them engaged and cared for. I’m reliable, patient and will always make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable and well looked after. I’m a university student in Oxford with a flexible schedule, as I’m only in uni a few days a week during term time. Outside of that, I’m very available and can easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I stay active and go on regular walks, so I’m more than happy to take dogs out and keep them engaged. I’m flexible with timings, including weekdays and weekends. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable and well cared for in their own home environment. I follow any instructions carefully, including feeding routines, walking schedules and any specific needs your dog may have. I’m attentive, patient and will make sure your pet feels secure and happy while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind.
About: Hi, I’m Flo! I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 11 and have a deep love for animals. My beloved beagle, who recently passed away at the age of 14, was my loyal companion and co-trainer. With him, I developed extensive experience in dog (and cat and even bunny) sitting, walking and training, learning to care for pets of all ages, from young puppies to terminally ill companions. Caring for animals is my passion, and I find even the challenging parts rewarding. I understand the unique needs of each pet and provide personalized attention to ensure they are happy and comfortable. Pets tend to warm up to me quickly, and I have a knack for tiring out even the most energetic pups. I miss the company of my beagle and am eager to share my love and care with other pets. I look forward to providing the best care for your furry friends while you’re away! I work in person for a 6-8 hours a day for a few days a week. My dates/hours are flexible on a weekly basis, which allows for a lot of flexibility and breaks when caring for pets! If your pet needs around the clock care and I have some advance notice, I can plan my days around bookings. I also spend a lot of time on walks outside and in nature which dogs tend to love to join me on! I will keep your best friend company for most of the day. For dogs and cats who are more anxious/require a bit more attention, I stay with them and near them throughout the day, and for those energetic ones I spend most of our time together outside if possible.

About: I’m a dedicated and experienced pet sitter with over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs, as well as smaller pets. As the owner of two Ragdoll cats, I understand how important it is to find someone who will treat your pets with genuine care and attention! I’m confident managing a wide range of needs—from feeding, grooming, and litter box care to administering medication and providing calm, attentive companionship. I’ve also rescued and cared for a budgie, so I’m comfortable looking after birds and understand the extra care and patience they require. For dogs, I’m an avid runner and endurance athlete, so I’m happy to provide long walks or runs to keep high-energy dogs happy and well exercised. I always tailor my care to each pet’s personality, whether they’re playful, shy, or need a bit of extra support :) My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away—just like they would with you! I'm a researcher with a flexible schedule so happy to work with pet owners to agree on a schedule that works to provide the best care for your pet. I am centrally located in Oxford city centre and would be happy to make visits (multiple a day if needed) to addresses in the area, and also house sit when needed. I take pride in being communicative and will provide frequent updates, and double check any special care instructions to ensure I can provide the best care for your animal companion!
About: I have been animal mad since I was 5. My career as a pet sitter and dog walker started with begging owners in the park to hold their dog’s lead as a child! As I reached 10 I signed up for ‘borrow my doggy’ with my dad and cared for a lovely lab for 2 years. I was then lucky enough to get my own dog, Ollie, when I was 12, giving me the sole responsibility of puppy training, house training and care. Ollie is a shy boy and has taught me a lot about the extra sensitivity required around nervous animals. Ollie is now a senior dog so our adventures have turned into more gentle walks and massages to avoid stiffness. I have also pet snd babysit for friends and family over the years on a paid basis. I currently pet sit for a family with one dog and one cat. I typically walk the dog, feed both pets and then snuggle up on the sofa and the pets up on whatever reality tv or crime documentary is currently playing. I am different from other sitters because I simply miss animal company in Oxford and yearn for some pet company (being paid is just a bonus!). As a Master’s student currently writing up my thesis, my day is completely self structured. This means I am able to plan my day around pet care and I often welcome the happy walks and cuddle breaks from hard academic work! As I am in a student house I am unable to care for your pet in my home due to my rental agreement. When caring for your pet in your home I am keen to communicate with you to understand your safety rules to ensure I stick to your boundaries. I typically refrain from letting dogs off leash on walks until a trusting relationship has been built. I also will only give treats/ food that you have authorised to avoid dietary issues.

I have experience looking after dogs and cats in many different contexts, from helping out friends and neighbours to seven months volunteering in an animal shelter in Spain. I also have a DBS check for your peace of mind. As a student at university, I have plenty of time to devote to animals and a highly flexible schedule. I can easily work around what works best for you and your pets. When caring for pets in an owner's home, I follow their daily routines closely to keep pets happy and comfortable. I provide updates and photos for your peace and mind, and keep the home tidy. I will always follow any special instructions or routines you provide.
About: I used to have a senior whippet mix. He needed constant supervision and trips outside. Along with that he was cuddled constantly and told how good a boy he was. I’ve recently moved to the UK and looking for a part time job. Since my dog passed i have been in need of some dog energy. I live on a second floor flat in the center of Oxford. I’m near many parks and paths I can take your dog on walks.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 12, looking after my neighbours’ pets. I had a cocker spaniel for 8 years, who sadly passed away in 2023. I’m hoping to reconnect with canine friends who I can play with and take for walks. I have also done cat sitting, and am comfortable feeding cats and playing with them. I’m currently studying at law university so have a flexible timetable, available during the daytime and on weekends. I’m happy to fit pet care in around your schedule and mine. Since I had a dog, I am used to keeping an eye out for animals whilst they are under my care, ensuring that they are safe.
“Priscille has recently started to walk our sensible and nervous dog. She has listen patiently to our instructions and done a fantastic job adjusting to his special needs. Oxford dog owners share their Rover experiences
As soon as Molly saw Hollie she treated her like an old friend. We did our first walk together and second time Molly was very happy to go off with Hollie without looking back, which is unusual for her. Hollie is clearly very knowledgeable about dogs and responsible about their welfare.

I would highly recommend Richard and his family! They have been walking my dog Frankie and also had her stay for a weekend in their house and are very friendly, kind people. Richard gets back to me quickly and I always get photo updates of Frankie, which I appreciate!! Frankie also gets along well with their dog Gwen and I know she is good hands when being walked or staying over. I completely trust Richard and his lovely family and highly recommend them :)

Madeleine was wonderful with our dog Luke. He's young, strong, and pulls quite a bit on the lead but she handled him beautifully, taking treats and a clicker to train him on the walks and taking him for long runs too to tire him out. He seemed really comfortable with her. Madeleine was really communicate and always on time. Very reliable and clearly an experienced dog walker.
