About: We are a friendly couple (Me & Ying)based in Oxford who genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. We offer a calm, clean and quiet home environment, ideal for small or well-behaved dogs. We both have flexible schedules and can give pets lots of attention, companionship and regular walks. We understand how important it is for owners to feel relaxed while away, so we’re happy to provide photo updates and maintain your dog’s normal routine as much as possible. We currently only accept one family’s pets at a time to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable and well cared for. We both work part-time and have flexible schedules, so there is usually at least one of us at home during the day to keep pets company and give them attention. We enjoy quiet daily routines and regular walks, and we’re happy to take dogs to nearby parks for exercise and fresh air. We are a non-smoking household and aim to provide a calm and relaxed environment for every pet. We provide a clean, quiet and safe home environment for pets. We only accept one family’s pets at a time so each dog can receive individual care and attention. We follow each owner’s routines and instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking habits and sleeping arrangements. Dogs are welcome on the sofa, but not on the bed. We’re also happy to send regular photo updates during their stay.

“Robin's been amazing with our dog over four drop-in visits. She’s friendly, reliable, and flexible with visits. Our dog is quite nervous, so it’s been really nice to see them gradually get more comfortable with her. We’re very grateful for the care and patience Robin’s shown and would happily book again.”

About: Much of my life has always revolved around animals and I have always enjoyed spending time with and taking care of them. I grew up in Istanbul, which is the stray animal centre of the world, where my family had an ongoing circulation of animals we would take in, take care of, and eventually find a forever home. Through this experience, I have gained a real love for animals and skills in making them comfortable and healthy. I'm now a university student in Oxford and don't get to go home so much to see my pets, so I'm looking to spend more time with animals while helping provide for myself during my degree. My family, all being cat lovers, always had at least one pet around the house, whether they were cats, dogs, birds, rodents, and fish. These pets were often rescued off the street or rehomed from friends and family. In the summer of 2020, I decided to start fostering cats at home (with my parents' permission as I was only 16 years old). My first two fosters were a family of feral kittens and an amputee older cat. I administered medication to them and socialised them to be comfortable around people, which gave me lots of experience with animals needing extra support. We adopted our dog dog, Otis, around the same time, and he was a classic covid puppy, being very anxious and difficult to train. With lots of love and proper training, we were able to get him more comfortable around people and with being left alone, which encouraged me to be more active in dog care and training. I have taken courses in dog training that I would be happy to utilise with your pets as well! Other than that, I just really enjoy animal care and making animals feel comfortable when they're away from their families. I know how stressful this can be for them, and it's super important to me to do my best to ensure both you and them can have the best time possible! I'm currently in the 3rd year of my degree at the University of Oxford, with another year coming up for my Master's degree. The workload can be quite heavy, but I've found it's crucial to have a work-life balance. For me, that looks like long walks in the greenery around Oxford or going home when possible to see my family (and dog). Since the university work is quite self-led, I often don't have time commitments throughout the day and work when and where I can, which can be during house sitting or between dog walks! I really enjoy that time that I spend with animals, so I can always make room for it between my studies. Since I'm in student housing at the moment, I don't offer pet boarding, but I do offer walks, drop in visits, and house sitting, all of which have their unique joys and challenges. With walks, every dog is different and may feel comfortable to different extents. I would take the families' guidance on what their dog usually is like and what they enjoy during walks, and we could build up some walking skills that I have worked on previously, like lead-pulling or recall. For drop-ins or house sitting, I would be very happy to set up a call prior to the sit to make sure you have an opportunity to give me all the information, like their favourite toy or blanket and what kind of treat they like! With house sitting, I would make it a priority to spend a fair amount of the day with the pets so that you feel at ease knowing that they're getting one-on-one quality time and aren't being left alone for long periods of time. If your pets had any special needs, I would be happy to discuss and accommodate them as well.
“Charlie took to Elaine straight away, and she was so good with him, not worrying that he was quite excited by her being here. She managed him well and he was able to calm down and chill with her. Great communication throughout. I will definitely ask Elaine to look after Charlie again.”

“Ella has been great at checking in on Yoyo over the last few weeks. She's been communicative, friendly and trustworthy. Ella and Yoyo clearly enjoy spending time together! I wouldn't hesitate to ask Ella to dogsit or dogwalk again.”

“Mylena is very efficient and very caring. Molly is not the easiest cat, but Mylena gained her trust and was always attentive to her needs. She is sensible and responsible, and we felt that Molly was in very safe hands. We are lucky indeed to have found Mylena and we hope that she will be available next time we go away.”

“Qi was a fantastic cat sitter and took excellent care of Biscuit. She listened carefully to all our instructions and followed them thoroughly. We really appreciated the multiple photo updates at every visit, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Biscuit was clearly happy and relaxed when we returned home. Qi was also incredibly flexible and understanding when my fiancé became ill and we had to return home earlier than planned. We would absolutely recommend Qi and will not hesitate to book her again in the future.”

About: I have patience and love for animals and I respect them. I will try my best to take care of every baby in my place to love them. I have a stable full-time job, so I have plenty of time every day to spend with my animal friends and give them the best care possible. Please feel free to discuss with me the exact boarding time, I am open-minded and very communicative. I will feed my animal friends according to the owner's requirements and give them plenty of food and water. Meanwhile, I will dispose of faeces in time and do house cleaning every three days to keep the house clean and tidy. I like to interact with my animal friends, I will play with them with respect and give them snacks and rewards according to the owner's needs.
About: I have been animal mad since I was 5. My career as a pet sitter and dog walker started with begging owners in the park to hold their dog’s lead as a child! As I reached 10 I signed up for ‘borrow my doggy’ with my dad and cared for a lovely lab for 2 years. I was then lucky enough to get my own dog, Ollie, when I was 12, giving me the sole responsibility of puppy training, house training and care. Ollie is a shy boy and has taught me a lot about the extra sensitivity required around nervous animals. Ollie is now a senior dog so our adventures have turned into more gentle walks and massages to avoid stiffness. I have also pet snd babysit for friends and family over the years on a paid basis. I currently pet sit for a family with one dog and one cat. I typically walk the dog, feed both pets and then snuggle up on the sofa and the pets up on whatever reality tv or crime documentary is currently playing. I am different from other sitters because I simply miss animal company in Oxford and yearn for some pet company (being paid is just a bonus!). As a Master’s student currently writing up my thesis, my day is completely self structured. This means I am able to plan my day around pet care and I often welcome the happy walks and cuddle breaks from hard academic work! As I am in a student house I am unable to care for your pet in my home due to my rental agreement. When caring for your pet in your home I am keen to communicate with you to understand your safety rules to ensure I stick to your boundaries. I typically refrain from letting dogs off leash on walks until a trusting relationship has been built. I also will only give treats/ food that you have authorised to avoid dietary issues.
About: Hi! I'm a Registered Vet Nurse now studying Veterinary Medicine, who misses her pets and is looking to earn a little extra cash taking care of other's. I worked at Hydegate Pet Resort for 3 years and as a vet nurse for 2 years, so understand the needs of different individuals and personalities, and have excellent experience in husbandry, walking and feeding. I love to work with dogs, cats and small furries, and have some knowledge of exotics. I'm an enthusiastic animal lover, who always strives to be reliable and work my hardest. I am currently living between my home and student accommodation and any love I can give an animal is as beneficial to me as I hope my service will be to you. Can't wait to hear from you. As a student, my availability shifts a lot throughout the year as I work between studies, placements and holidays, but I am able to be flexible and very happy to work something out that suits both of us. Having worked in kennels and with a wide range of patients in veterinary practice, I am able to care for your pets with confidence and understanding of their individual needs. I am also able to give medications as required.

About: If you asked 10-year old Jui who her best friend was, she'd tell you it was the group of Indian stray dogs she would feed and play with everyday! Since then, I've jumped at every opportunity to walk or look after dogs of all shapes and sizes for neighbours, family friends and relatives. My own family dog was a very spirited senior Shih Tzu (pictured above). Dogs always love me - although probably not as much as I love them! I currently work full-time Monday to Friday but I am free everyday after work or during lunchtime for walks. Weekends are also completely free for dogsitting or dogwalking! I will make sure your pet always has comfortable space to relax, regular toilet breaks, playtime, walks, fresh water, and lots of attention and affection! I always try my best to maintain their usual routine and give them as much companionship and care as possible. I keep the home tidy, provide updates and photos for peace of mind, and make sure pets are safe, happy, and well cared for at all times.
“Thanks. So everything is 5 star, and we would book her again. My review is: Katie gets a 5-star rating from us! Lola is a very anxious, nervous cat who hides as soon as anyone other than us comes into the house. Not with Katie! From the first meeting she was happy to be stroked, and as the week went on Lola became more and more comfortable, so much so she ran to meet her at the front door on Katie’s last day! Katie sent us photos and messages every day, she is very pleasant to work with, and we will certainly be booking her again the next time we go away. Thank you Katie.”

Sam was amazing! He did a pre visit meet with Benji as Benji can be nervous, which was really appreciated and meant Benji felt completely comfortable with Sam upon visit day. He was super responsive and we felt really safe leaving Benji in his care, Benji was so happy in the photos☺️ can’t recommend Sam enough

Akanksha was so loving with both my cats. It was the first time we booked her but definitely not the last one! Leaving them behind when we go on holiday is always hard, but knowing they were in such good hands let us enjoy our time abroad! Colin was begging her for belly rubs on day one, so they also loved her too!

First time booking with Marguerite, and she was fantastic! She followed all our instructions and was very observant, noticing that our cat had been unwell. She let us know right away and kindly cleaned everything up, which we really appreciated. She kept us updated with messages and photos, and let us know when she arrived and left, which gave us real peace of mind. Most importantly, it was clear our cat felt comfortable with her as they shared playtime and brushing. We’d happily book her again. Merci encore Marguerite! :)

Qi was a fantastic cat sitter and took excellent care of Biscuit. We would absolutely recommend Qi and will not hesitate to book her again in the future.

Yiling was amazing, best sitter ever! She's obviously brilliant with animals and quickly made friends with our normally very nervous cat. Communication was easy, as she was quick to reply to messages, friendly and accomodating. We had lovely daily updates and photos showing a very relaxed and happy cat at home. I highly recommend her services.
Alexandra was a lovely, attentive cat sitter. It was our first time leaving our cat and we couldn’t have asked for more. She reassured us with videos and photos each time she came in. She went above and beyond to spend time with our cat beyond just feeding him, which was really appreciated. I would definitely recommend her, and we’d love for her to look after our cat again in the future.

Rachel was fantastic walking my dog. Yugoo has lots of energy, but she handled him really well and made sure he got plenty of exercise. Rachel took lots of pictures on the walk so we could see what our pup got up to. Yugoo came back from his walk with his tail wagging- I’d definitely recommend Rachel for anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!
