About: Being a veterinary nurse gives me the skill set to care for those pets with additional needs, both medical and behavioural. I have experiance with puppies and kittens, from hand rearing to puppy parties. I enjoy care of senior patients with mobility issues or those needing that extra TLC. I work as a veterinary nurse still but on reduced hours so it will be around my hours. When house sitting I will not be taking on nursing shifts at the same time so I can give your pets my full attention. When caring for your pets in your own home I look to keep there routine as normal as possible. I find the key to happy and settled pets is ensuring there routine isn't disruptive.

First time booking Georgia and very pleased with her service - she was dropping in on my cat for 2 evenings and made sure to take pics of the cat and also how she'd set up the autofeeder to ensure I could see it was set up correctly.

We asked Cora to take care of our cat as well as our neighbors' cats, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly kind and warm, yet also highly professional and knowledgeable about pet care. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We felt completely at ease knowing our cats were in such capable hands.

About: I have lots of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including looking after dogs as part of my nannying roles. This has involved feeding, walking, playing with and keeping dogs company, as well as following their individual routines and needs. I also have my own cockapoo, Poppy (5), who I regularly care for at home. She's very much a velcro dog and would love to have cuddles all day! I'm super sporty though, so would also love a more energetic dog to do long walks and adventures with! I'm responsible, reliable and very attentive to animals' needs. As I'm currently at university, Poppy doesn't live with me, meaning your dog would be the only dog in my home! I have a lovely garden, huge living area and my own car, so I can easily accommodate walks and plenty of outdoor time! I'd love to give your dog a safe, happy and loving home-from-home! 🐾 Pet care fits really easily around my routine! I’m a university student, with my lectures primarily in the mornings, but they’re all available online, meaning I can work from home and your pup won’t be left alone while I’m studying. Alongside university, I work at a pub and do babysitting, both of which are very flexible. Unless I already have another commitment booked, I’m usually completely free and can be flexible around your dog’s routine and needs. I’d always recommend messaging in advance where possible, but I’m also very happy to consider last-minute requests and will do my best to make it work! 🐾 In my home 🏡🐾 I have a fully secure, mid-sized back garden and would love to take your dog on plenty of walks. For longer stays, I’d even be happy to drive to a lovely country park for a change of scenery and an extra adventure! Unless your dog is crate trained and prefers their own space, I’m more than happy for them to sleep in my room, whether that’s on their own bed on the floor or even on my bed if that’s what they’re used to. I want them to feel as comfortable and at home as possible! In your home 🏠 I have lots of experience working in other people’s homes through nannying, so I’m very comfortable adapting to your home and your dog’s usual routine. I’ll follow any instructions you leave carefully, make sure your dog’s routine is maintained and ensure your home is left clean, tidy and secure. Ultimately, I’ll treat your home and your dog with the same care and respect I would my own! 🐶

About: I have been a dog owner since my early childhood. I have experience looking after puppies as well as senior dogs. I currently have a very energetic dog that requires lots of walks. She is very friendly and misses a lot her companion, our dachshund that passed away 3 years ago. I am in full time employment, however I work from home twice a week, Mondays and Fridays. I am also available for dog walks and pet sitting most weekends. I can house and pet sit or do drop in visits as and when needed provided it is within a driving distance and detailed instructions are provided with regards to pet care if your pet has custom requirements.

About: I’ve been caring for pets since 2022 across several platforms, from energetic puppies and affectionate cats to rabbits, lizards, and even the occasional guinea pig. At home, I’m a proud cat mum to Quilla, my 4-year-old feline companion who keeps me on my toes and reminds me how every pet has its own personality and needs. I treat every animal I look after as if they were my own, with patience, love, and a focus on safety and comfort. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or following special care instructions, I pay attention to every detail to make sure your furry friend feels secure, stimulated, and happy while you’re away. Since I work from home, I’m around throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, companionship, and outdoor breaks. My flexible schedule means I can easily adjust to feeding times, walks, and cuddle breaks, ensuring your pet’s routine stays consistent and stress-free. Our house is a modest size safe home. No children and has a decent garden fully fenced. Our home is a calm, clean, and pet-safe environment, fully equipped for both active pets and those who prefer quiet company. We have secure indoor spaces, a cozy resting area, and plenty of room for play and enrichment. Pets are never left unsupervised, and I always tailor the setup to suit their comfort level and routine.

About: Hi, I’m Ella! I’m a passionate and dedicated animal lover with professional qualifications and hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets. My goal is to ensure every pet feels safe, loved and comfortable while their owners are away, giving you complete peace of mind. I hold a Level 3 Animal Care qualification, a Level 3 Dog Training qualification, an Emergency Dog First Aid qualification, a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification, and I am DBS checked, so you can feel confident that your pets are in safe, knowledgeable and trustworthy hands. I have extensive experience pet sitting for both dogs and cats, caring for them in their own homes where they feel most relaxed. My responsibilities have included: * Daily walks tailored to each dog’s age, breed and energy level. * Feeding according to individual routines and dietary requirements. * Providing fresh water and administering medication when required. * Playtime, enrichment activities and plenty of companionship. * Grooming basics such as brushing and cleaning muddy paws. * Cleaning litter trays, accident clean-ups and maintaining a tidy environment. * Following owners’ instructions and keeping pets’ routines as consistent as possible. * Sending regular photo and video updates to owners for reassurance. I believe pet sitting is about much more than feeding and walking. I take the time to build trust with every animal, understand their personality and make sure they feel happy, secure and loved while you’re away. My professional qualifications in animal care and dog training allow me to understand animal behaviour, recognise signs of stress or illness, and adapt my care to each pet’s individual needs. My emergency dog first aid training means I’m prepared to respond calmly and appropriately should an emergency ever arise. As someone who genuinely loves animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet enjoys long countryside walks, energetic play sessions, quiet cuddles or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll provide personalised care to suit them. I pride myself on being reliable, organised and communicative, and I always keep owners updated so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. Pet care is a big part of my weekly routine, and I always make time to provide reliable, high-quality care for every pet I look after. I am fully available all day and overnight on Tuesdays and throughout the weekend, making me ideal for day visits, overnight stays and weekend bookings. On my current working days, I am generally available before 7:45am and after 6:15pm, allowing me to provide morning and evening visits where needed. I am also in the process of moving into a career focused on animal care, so my availability is expected to become much more flexible in the near future. My long-term goal is to dedicate more of my time to pet sitting, dog walking and animal care, meaning I’ll be able to offer even greater availability for both new and returning clients. I always do my best to accommodate each owner’s needs and maintain their pet’s normal routine wherever possible. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else is a big decision, which is why I always strive to provide a safe, calm and loving experience in the comfort of their own home. Remaining in a familiar environment helps reduce stress and allows pets to maintain their normal routine while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my highest priority. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, exercise and daily routines, ensuring they receive the same level of care they’re used to. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, needs and preferences so they feel comfortable and secure in my care. As a DBS-checked pet sitter with a Level 3 Animal Care qualification, Emergency Dog First Aid certification, Level 3 Dog Training qualification, and Level 3 Safeguarding qualification, you can trust that your pets and home are in responsible and capable hands. I treat every home with the utmost respect, keeping it clean, secure and exactly as you left it. Communication is also important to me, so I’ll provide regular updates, photos and videos throughout my visits, giving you peace of mind that your pets are happy, safe and receiving the love and attention they deserve.

About: Hi, I’m Jako. I am a responsible, loving parent based in Oxford with a deep passion for animals. Because I have children, I understand exactly what it means to trust someone with a loved one. I treat every dog I care for with the same level of patience, safety, and attention to detail that I do my own family. Whether it’s sticking to a strict feeding schedule or knowing exactly how to handle a sudden burst of energy, I am calm, capable, and ready to help. For me, dogs are the ultimate stress-busters. In a busy world, I love how dogs remind us to slow down and enjoy the simple things, a walk in the fresh air, a game of fetch, or a quiet cuddle on the sofa. I love their honesty and their unconditional love. Spending time with dogs brings a genuine smile to my face; their excitement is contagious, and I find their company incredibly therapeutic. As a parent, my life runs on a solid routine. After the morning school drop-off, I have dedicated hours free for long walks and play. I am up early and active all day, meaning I can stick to your pet's feeding and walking schedule perfectly without ever missing a beat. As a parent, my home is secure, child-proofed, and safe. I provide constant supervision in a loving family environment, strictly following your rules and routine.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Oxfordshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
