About: I’ve been caring for animals since age of 10. From hand rearing baby bunnies, feeding ducks, chicken and kittens to puppies to all grown up cats she dogs even feeding baby cows I just love animals. Happy to help where I can. I currently work at a local medical practice 3 days a week part time so can fit in on my days off and come before and after work. I work part time 3 short days a week with 4 out of 7 days off it fits in pretty easy. I always make it work. I have 3 children who just love animals aswell sometimes they like to come with me and help me with walking fussing and feeding under my supervision but they know on occasions they can’t if your furry friend is not overly keen on children. As I work in healthcare I’m fully dbs checked also.

About: Being a veterinary nurse gives me the skill set to care for those pets with additional needs, both medical and behavioural. I have experiance with puppies and kittens, from hand rearing to puppy parties. I enjoy care of senior patients with mobility issues or those needing that extra TLC. I work as a veterinary nurse still but on reduced hours so it will be around my hours. When house sitting I will not be taking on nursing shifts at the same time so I can give your pets my full attention. When caring for your pets in your own home I look to keep there routine as normal as possible. I find the key to happy and settled pets is ensuring there routine isn't disruptive.

About: A lover of all animals, giving pets love and care gives me great pleasure! I’ve owned small to large dogs throughout my life so i’m comfortable with all breeds. I also have owned cats, rabbits (which also had babies!), guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, fish and a horse. Needless to say it gives me great joy to care for them all and get to know all of their quirky personalities. I can be as flexible as possible with any needs you may have, every pet and their owners needs are different so whatever your situation is do not hesitate to get in touch and we will see if I can accommodate what you need. Looking forward to meeting your very best friends!

Cora did a fantastic job looking after our two cats over the Christmas period while we were away. Made sure they had plenty of food and water, plus gave them a few treats with loads of attention through play on the days she was visiting. Excellent communication with photos to show both cats were safe and happy. I definitely recommend Cora and we will hopefully be using her again if she is available!

About: I’ve been caring for pets since 2022 across several platforms, from energetic puppies and affectionate cats to rabbits, lizards, and even the occasional guinea pig. At home, I’m a proud cat mum to Quilla, my 4-year-old feline companion who keeps me on my toes and reminds me how every pet has its own personality and needs. I treat every animal I look after as if they were my own, with patience, love, and a focus on safety and comfort. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or following special care instructions, I pay attention to every detail to make sure your furry friend feels secure, stimulated, and happy while you’re away. Since I work from home, I’m around throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, companionship, and outdoor breaks. My flexible schedule means I can easily adjust to feeding times, walks, and cuddle breaks, ensuring your pet’s routine stays consistent and stress-free. Our house is a modest size safe home. No children and has a decent garden fully fenced. Our home is a calm, clean, and pet-safe environment, fully equipped for both active pets and those who prefer quiet company. We have secure indoor spaces, a cozy resting area, and plenty of room for play and enrichment. Pets are never left unsupervised, and I always tailor the setup to suit their comfort level and routine.

About: Your dog deserves a walk that's actually good for them and not a quick loop around the block. A proper outing with real exercise, time to explore and sniff, the kind of steady, calm handling that leaves a dog genuinely satisfied. I believe a dog needs at least an hour to get this which is why every walk I offer is an hour. I shared thirteen years with a wonderful red Setter named Mozart and, over the years, I've cared for other dogs and cats and rescued a fair number as well. I know dogs, I can always figure out what motivates them. There's nothing better than a well mannered dog with solid recall who can be let off the lead to really stretch out and explore and that's the kind of walk I love giving. But I'll always follow your lead on this and if you tell me your dog can't be trusted off the lead, then they stay on. I'll only ever walk dogs together if they're from the same household, or once I've had the chance to get to know them and I'm confident they'd genuinely get along. Even then, I'll only take up to three dogs at most. Otherwise, I keep walks one dog at a time. I'm a mature student reading philosophy now and I'm free all summer and able to take regular slots. Therefore, I can offer the kind of consistency that's good for a dog, a routine they can rely on. If cost is a concern, please talk to me. I'd rather work something out than cut a walk short. I'm a mature full time student reading philosophy. The academic year has finished and there's a long time until the next. I have time to spend with your furry family members, scheduling permitting. It depends on the levels of trust and comfort your pets would have with me being in their home. It also depends on the requirements. This will vary quite a bit and it's worth having a conversation first.

About: I have owned pets, including dogs all my life. I have walked neighbours dogs regularly in the past and worked for a home-from-home boarding business. I have also spent time volunteering at Hollyhedge Animal sanctuary walking dogs and ‘cuddling’ cats. I am a responsible individual and have extensive knowledge on dog behaviours and pet nutrition. I am flexible for some one-off walks, visits and sits or to arrange something more regular. All breeds and species considered, but I have most experience with spaniels and other gun dog breeds. Walk length and location can be tailored to your dog and their needs. Pricing can be flexible also. Contact me to discuss details further! I have just finished a Master’s degree and am now job searching for a conservation-based job. I have plenty of free time for pet walking and sitting. I am happy to follow your guidance for preferences on walking and sitting schedules. I am currently unable to board dogs in my own home

About: I had a dog (a Samoyed!) in my childhood through to teen hood, and have been around dogs basically my whole life via friends and family pets and volunteering. I have also had a dog, rabbits, budgies, fish, crabs, and hamsters throughout my life. Moreover, I have pet sit dogs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, fish, guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon. I have done pet sitting on and off for the last 10 years, starting when I used to live in Thailand, and then when I moved back to England years ago, mainly for people who were away for days or weeks at a time, and I have enjoyed every minute. I have previously also been a volunteer dog walk for a local sanctuary. I can deal with giving medication (but must be spoken about and agreed prior to booking), as my cat has a thyroid issue and needs daily medication, along with the routine worming tablets etc. I will love your pet as my own and give them the absolute best care. I look forward to meeting your pets! I'm currently a free agent, looking to build up a a pet-sitting business, alongside a movement and wellness business, so have plenty of time and attention to give your pets. I will love your pet like it's my own, giving it attention when needed but also appreciating it may need some quiet time, just like we all do! You tell me it's daily schedule and I will adhere to stick to it as best as possible.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in South Oxfordshire on Rover is £16.1 per Visit (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 67 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in South Oxfordshire. About 78% of South Oxfordshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
