About: Three years ago, while studying at university in South Africa, I was a dog sitter for the Canine Club. Now, in the UK, I work in marketing during the week, but on weekends, I still love to dive back into dog walking and pet care whenever I can! I work full-time as a local marketing manager at the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts—three days in-office, two days from home. Weekends, though, are completely free for all your pet-sitting needs! 💕 I’d ensure they’re safe by providing all the love, care, and attention I’d give my own pets, while carefully following any instructions or briefs the owner provides. Your home and your pet would be in trusted, attentive hands!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14. Neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and play their pets and give them the comfort and attention they need. I’m currently a full time student at Kingston School of Art. Whilst it’s full time, I still have 4 days off a week including weekends to take care of your pet and am free in the evenings nearly everyday. I have easy access to public transport so will be flexible on where house sitting for a pet is needed. I will give them the comfort and attention they need when house sitting.

About: I’ve got plenty experience with dogs. I’ve grown up around cats, I’ve had plenty cats. I’ve been around dogs for a while now.. I’ve dogsitted, bathed and walked dogs. I have experience with BorrowMyDoggy app, I’ve volunteered on the app for quite a while now, I’ve met quite a few dogs that I’ve walked and kept company. I’m currently working part time as a cleaner but not getting enough hours… I’m free almost all the time so I’m very reliable whenever needed. Depending on what owners need. I’m able to walk dogs, and look after dogs in owners home! I’m not fussed with this, whatever’s needed I’m happy! I just can’t take dogs/ cats into my home at this moment in time. :)
“We've been using Holly for over a month now, looking after our 3 months old puppy. She arrives on time and is really relaxed with her so calms her quickly and then is efficient in doing all the things like feeding and taking her for toilet breaks. Holly plays and trains her, and then leaves her happy and content so she's good being left until we get home. Highly recommend for ease of communication and knowledge Holly is great at her job that we don't have to worry.”

“Lauren was extremely accommodating, responding to my last minute booking. She quickly got up to speed with mine and my cats requirements putting my mind at ease. I loved receiving the updates and adorable photos showing how my cat was getting along! Thank you Lauren, Jet and I look forward to booking with you again soon!”

I have a private fenced garden which your dogs will be able to enjoy, and a large ground floor flat with plenty of space and comfy spaces for your dogs to relax.
“This was our first time ever using Rover and Millie was amazing! She was responsive, gave us clear updates and made us feel comfortable while away that George was being looked after. Would highly recommend and would love to have her care for George again.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. My mum was a dog walker throughout my childhood, and I used to count down the days until the school holidays so I could join her on walks! Growing up surrounded by dogs has given me confidence with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Most recently, I fostered a Dalmatian called Woody who was highly reactive. With patience, consistency, and the right support, we helped him build his confidence and eventually find a wonderful forever home. Seeing his progress was incredibly rewarding and reinforced just how much I love working with animals. I’m joining Rover because caring for pets genuinely brings me joy. After recently returning to work part-time following maternity leave, I now have the flexibility to dedicate time to looking after your furry family members. As someone who really misses having a dog of my own, spending time with pets is something I truly value. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I’ll care for them as if they were my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and love while they’re with me. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, so I can give every pet the time and attention they deserve. I have a flexible schedule and can provide walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding throughout the week. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and a consistent routine to help them feel happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind I have a fenced off garden, lots of space in the house for the dog to find their spot and get comfortable if they need a rest, I have a DBS check and I have lots of confidence in walking dogs and know how to handle them with care and quick to understand a dogs needs, I will take care of them as they was my own and I wouldn’t expect any less.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I've grown up with both cats and dogs and have spent my whole life learning to understand their different personalities, needs, and routines. I currently have a friendly Labradoodle and a beautiful Ragdoll cat, so I know just how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as if they were their own. Alongside my personal experience, I also worked as a Veterinary Care Assistant, where I supported the veterinary team and cared for animals both in and out of the practice. My role involved handling pets with patience and compassion, ensuring they were comfortable, assisting with their day-to-day care, and helping owners feel reassured during what could often be stressful situations. This experience has given me confidence caring for animals of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I'm also a therapist and work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable care and spend quality time with the pets I look after. After spending my days supporting people, I genuinely find being around animals incredibly grounding. They have a wonderful way of bringing calm, joy, and a much-needed sense of peace, and I often joke that animals can be much easier than humans! Caring for them is something I truly enjoy, and it's one of the most rewarding ways I can spend my time. Whether your pet loves long walks, energetic play, quiet company, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I always tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I understand that every animal is unique, and I pride myself on being reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about providing the highest standard of care. When your pet is with me, they'll be treated like one of my own—with plenty of love, attention, patience, and care. My goal is to make sure they're happy, safe, and comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind while you're away. I I work as a therapist 3 days a week and do part time evening work on Wednesdays. I’m at home a lot and have access to cars. My cat is completely indoor so doors and windows are always shut and have a garden for the dog. The house has air conditioning throughout.

“Lauren did an outstanding job taking care of my dog, Mr. Ken. She was not only reliable and punctual, but she also showed genuine affection and attention to his needs. Mr. Ken usually takes time to warm up to new people, but with Lauren, he was comfortable from the start. Her professionalism, coupled with her obvious love for animals, made me feel at ease leaving Mr. Ken in her care. I highly recommend Lauren for any pet-sitting needs—she truly went above and beyond!”

About: I have always lived in a house with both cats and dogs and have enjoyed their company and every aspect of taking care of them since I was a young child. I have looked after dogs and cats of every single age and stage, so I am very used to understanding all of their needs. I am a stay at home mum in a quiet home of older children, so I walk dogs after I have done the school drop-off and before I do the school pick up. I’m usually in the house all day apart from brief grocery shopping trips out. Specialising in overnight Dog Boarding I previously worked for an agency for a number of years, and now I am an independent dog boarder. As a result I have lots of experience with dogs of all ages and I have experience giving medication, and various grooming needs, such as the funny job of wiping out the wrinkles of an English bulldog!
“Another lovely time for Biffy with a visit from James! James was very considerate of Biffy in the hot weather and also kept in great contact with me! James is highly recommended - again 😊”

About: I grew up surrounded by pets - a cat and a Saint Bernard who shaped some of my happiest childhood memories. Later, I had my own beloved Pomeranian, who may not have lived a long life, but lived a very loved one. Because of these experiences, caring for pets comes naturally to me and from the heart. Friends regularly trust me to care for and sit their pets, knowing how much love, patience, and attention I give. I truly believe dogs are our best friends and often the best version of humans - loyal, kind, and full of joy. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality, routines, and emotional needs, whether that means playful energy, calm companionship or extra reassurance. Pet care fits well into my daily and weekly routine. I can plan my time around walks, feeding, and check-ins and make sure pets get consistent care and attention. I follow the owner’s instructions and the pet’s usual routine. I keep the space clean and make sure pets are supervised and comfortable. I pay attention to how they behave and adjust care if needed, whether that means more activity or more quiet time. When I’m caring for a pet, my goal is simply that they are safe, calm, and looked after properly.
About: I have no children but I do have a kitten. I helped bring up my sister’s puppy-turned-dog during Covid, I regularly look after my sister’s dog for days and hours. I take her for walks, feed her, play with her and drop her off. I also sometimes look after my best friend’s cat when she is at work or on holiday. I am flexible with weekends, and week days I work hybrid so I am home most of the week - aside from Tuesday and Thursday, which are my office days. ☺️ I keep door closed and always use lead when outside. The area is usually gated outside, and I have space for a crate if needed. I have a few green areas next to me. I live basically in town, with non-main road access in too for particularly vulnerable puppies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
