About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.
“Becca is awesome she is great with my Maverick. Was here at the time specified since me pictures and also spoke with me. Have no complaints will definitely use her again. Thank you again Rover and Becca Cindy”

“Harriet visited my cat Daisy every day for two weeks while I was away. She was absolutely fantastic and took a good care of Daisy. Definitely recommending her to others 😊”

“Drop in visits We were so pleased to find Annie to look after our young cats, Otis and Nina, while we were away for a few days. We had never left them overnight before but Annie reassured us when we met her. She did a fantastic job , not only feeding them etc but getting our rather nervous cats to play with her. She sent detailed reports of each visit as well as lovely photos so that we knew they were being well cared for. We would highly recommend her as a cat-sitter. Gill, Naomi, Otis and Nina.”

About: I have had pets in the home for over 10 years. I grew up with 2 whippets, chickens, guinea pigs and fish. I have also looked after a friend’s cat for the last few months which is what inspired me to join Rover. I am a recent graduate from drama school and currently have no other commitments. I am fully available Monday to Friday and some weekend availability I always make sure the pets are left content, comfortable and with everything they need. The home is always left clean, tidy and secure. I always take a photo when I leave to make sure.
“Absolutely fantastic, Stella was lovely with Roo and gave us a comprehensive update and photos of the drop in. We’ve now scheduled her for regular drop ins and are very happy, highly recommended.”

“Olivia was an amazing cat sitter. I was able to trust her with my cat, Puma, and our house when we were on holiday. She went above and beyond to make sure Puma was good during the heat wave. I would recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled cat sitter. Thanks again Olivia!”

About: I have over four years of professional pet care experience and am passionate about providing safe, reliable, and loving care for animals of all kinds. Prior to this, I worked in a veterinary setting, where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for pets and supporting their health and wellbeing. I hold certifications in Pet First Aid and have additional training in pet care, pet training, and dog grooming. My background allows me to confidently care for pets with a wide range of needs and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. I currently have three dogs and a rabbit, giving me plenty of personal experience with day-to-day animal care. Over the years, I have built strong relationships with many regular clients who trust me to care for their pets as if they were my own. I love meeting new pets and their owners and look forward to providing attentive, professional care for even more furry friends through Rover. This keeps the emphasis on your experience, qualifications, and client relationships, rather than on running your own pet-sitting business, which may fit Rover’s preferences better. My schedule is flexible, and I plan my day around the pets in my care. I have regular dog walks throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent exercise, enrichment, and companionship for the dogs I look after. I am available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as overnight stays when arranged in advance. I always follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled. Pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I also provide updates, photos, and messages so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. Safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. With previous experience working in veterinary care and certification in Pet First Aid, I am trained to recognise signs of illness, injury, stress, or discomfort and respond appropriately. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and routines. Dogs are always walked on secure leads unless owners have specifically approved otherwise in a safe, enclosed area. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, behaviour, and any special requirements before providing care. I maintain a clean, secure environment, regularly check gates, doors, and equipment, and ensure pets are supervised appropriately. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.
“I had such a wonderful experience with Lauren! She was incredibly flexible with timing, which made everything so much easier for me. Throughout the time she cared for my furry babies, she kept me updated with regular messages and photos on the Rover card, which was so reassuring. It was clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats them with such care and affection. I would absolutely recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a reliable and kind sitter, and I'll definitely be booking her again in the future! Thank you, Lauren, for taking such great care of my kitties!”

“So happy with Lucy’s service. I needed a last minute booking for my dog and Lucy accommodated me, even squeezing in a quick visit to meet me and Pasha before she went on holiday. Lucy sent updates during her visit which was reassuring to receive as I was out the house for so long! My dog Pasha seemed to love their time together!”

“I had a wonderful experience with our recent cat sitter. She was absolutely lovely and took great care of my two cats. Before the booking even started, she came by to meet them, which really put me at ease. Throughout the sit, she kept me updated with messages and plenty of photos, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she took the time to connect with them and make sure they were comfortable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring cat sitter. My cats were happy and relaxed when I came home—couldn’t ask for more!”

“Steven was amazing! He took such great care of my cat, sending daily updates and adorable photos that put me at ease. My cat was happy and well cared for, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you so much to Ilaria who came to walk Bonnie, check on the cats and give them all breakfast when I had to be off very early on a Sunday morning. She sent lots of pictures and all the pets happy when I got home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ilaria and would be very happy to have her back soon.”

“10/10 would recommend in a heartbeat. He was awesome. Followed all the care instructions to the T. Even though it was for only three days he had my Molly all in for cuddles and belly scratches. He replied very quickly and completed the Rover album which I didnt know existed. It was very comforting to see pictures of my baby doing well. ❤️ If I ever need a catsitter I would book with him.”

Becca takes the role very seriously and I completely trusted Becca to access the house and take good care of my cats. Her summaries at the end of each visit are comprehensive. My cats aren't the friendliest but seemed to really like Becca. I will certainly use Becca again and fully recommend.

Anna has looked after Tomka for us twice and provided an excellent service. She genuinely cares about cats. Tomka is extremely wary of strangers but he was calm and relaxed with Anna because she has a natural affinity for cats. She provided us with updates which was very reassuring. We would definitely recommend Anna for cat sitting!

Sam took great care of our cat oreo while we visited family over Christmas. Oreo was happy and relaxed when we came back. Sam kept us updated daily with progress and photos , it was very reassuring. Highly recommend Sam as a pet sitter and would definitely use again.

Keyu was an amazing carer for our cat who needed medication, his wounds tending to and a lot of love as well as daily feeds and litter tray cleaning. Her updates and pictures gave us peace of mind and we are very grateful to her to taking such good care of our cat. Would 100% recommend and will definitely book her help again.
Nancy did an amazing job looking after our kittens and home while we were away. She was caring, reliable, and kept us at ease knowing our little ones were in good hands. We came back to happy, well-cared-for kittens and a tidy home. She clearly has a genuine love for animals, and it shows in the way she looks after them. I couldn’t recommend her more highly — we’ll definitely ask for her help again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
