“Olivia was an amazing cat sitter. I was able to trust her with my cat, Puma, and our house when we were on holiday. She went above and beyond to make sure Puma was good during the heat wave. I would recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled cat sitter. Thanks again Olivia!”

“Harriet visited my cat Daisy every day for two weeks while I was away. She was absolutely fantastic and took a good care of Daisy. Definitely recommending her to others 😊”

About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends (I can do Friday night house sitting after 5pm). This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.

“Drop in visits We were so pleased to find Annie to look after our young cats, Otis and Nina, while we were away for a few days. We had never left them overnight before but Annie reassured us when we met her. She did a fantastic job , not only feeding them etc but getting our rather nervous cats to play with her. She sent detailed reports of each visit as well as lovely photos so that we knew they were being well cared for. We would highly recommend her as a cat-sitter. Gill, Naomi, Otis and Nina.”

“My little one is normally quite shy and hides when people come round. Becca had him meeting her at the door then demanding more attention before she left. Ruslan has made a new friend and I've found a sitter I'm more than happy to leave him with and never worry if I'm away. Very grateful for all Becca did”

“Elaine provided us with lovely updates including photos so we knew what she had got up to with our dog whilst we were out. It was clear that Bodhi had a great time with her.”

“Steven was amazing! He took such great care of my cat, sending daily updates and adorable photos that put me at ease. My cat was happy and well cared for, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Frederique was a great sitter for Milo! It was a late drop-in visit booking and she communicated well throughout, sharing pictures and videos of Milo, who loved spending time with her. Milo would certainly love to see Frederique again, and I would highly recommend her to others. Thank you, Frederique.”

About: Hi, my name is Patricia and I absolutely love dogs: young, old, big, small, and anything in between! Growing up, I was surrounded by different pets (cats, dogs, birds) and it made me love all animals and taking care of them is second nature to me. I have experience walking different dogs, from my calm medium Aspin dog, large Belgian Malinois and our very own energetic and excited 8 month old pup . When walking, I make sure to give dogs their time sniffing and exploring their surroundings. Im always well equipped, making sure to bring treats, food, water and a ball they can play with. I live near some parks, woody paths and nice places for long walks. There is also an open field that me and my dog goes to for off leash sessions. Rest assured that I would take care of your pet as if they were my own And send updates as often as your prefer! Im currently studying so I have plenty of time for play and walks. Wednesdays are the only days Im usually not available. I would usually do a morning play and then walk, (breakfast before or after) and then have the afternoon in (usually a good time for doggos to sleep or chill while i do some uni work, cuddles and petting in between of course!) and then late in the afternoon, go for another play and walk session. When I do boarding in my home in Surrey, we have a fences garden where pets can roam around and also the friendliest playmate they can have, our 1 y/o Samoyed dog named Lofie 🐶. I can of course crate your dog and keep them inside the house if required. Our Lofie usually roams around the house and in all rooms and she’s allowed on sofa (we usually have sofa covers and would wipe her paws and fur if she’s ever muddy so she can cuddle with us). You can expect the same treatment for your doggo or catto! ( unless you would prefer not to). When taking care of pets in dog owners’ house, I would usually do whatever it is required of me when taking care of the pet and some chores if necessary (making sure that I clean up after myself if ever I use anything I am allowed to in the house ie coffee or throwing out bin for longer stays).
About: I have been taking care of animals since I can remember, including dogs, cats, and even cows and horses. I have experience in dog training and grooming. Animal training is my special interest and I am working to get my training qualifications soon. In the past I worked with dogs of all temperaments, including reactive abd nervous dogs. I am very understanding of pet's boundaries and comfort levels, ensuring the animal does not get stressed. Safety is my main priority in animal care. Previously, I volunteered at cat shelters where I learned about cafe behaviour and safety, grooming, and medical needs. Although dogs are my expertise, I love taking care of cats and learning about their behaviour. I understand that not every cat loves cuddles and I'm happy yo give them their space to keep them stress free. I hope to provide a safe and relaxed experience for your fluffy companions :D I generally have a very flexible schedule. I will be happy to accommodate any of your schedule needs and I am avaliable for early mornings. Both weekdays and weekends When in your home, I understand that I am a stranger to your pet, so I will make sure to remember and implement any special instructions you provide as you know your pet the best. I will stick to their familiar routine. I will take note of security needs such as gates and fences, leashes and muzzles, as well as feeding instructions. I pay attention to pet body langauge and won't approach your pet if the pet is uncomfortable. When walking dogs I aim to take them to most pet friendly areas and steer clear of any hazards like other animals and cars. Safety and comfort is my #1 priority.

“Greg was really excellent with my 2 cats. He sent me updated pictures from each visit which was really comforting and communicated very well over everything. I can definitely recommend him as a pet sitter and may call again to him in the future.”

“Thank you so much to Ilaria who came to walk Bonnie, check on the cats and give them all breakfast when I had to be off very early on a Sunday morning. She sent lots of pictures and all the pets happy when I got home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ilaria and would be very happy to have her back soon.”

“Absolutely fantastic, Stella was lovely with Roo and gave us a comprehensive update and photos of the drop in. We’ve now scheduled her for regular drop ins and are very happy, highly recommended.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cat as well as pigs and goats and geckos for a couple of years on and off and i love every second of it . From puppies and kittens small and large to older dogs who need a little extra TLC. I am a big animal lover and i am super flexible to work with your animals to give them the best care. I’m working part time in a coffee shop and some freelance photography work so plenty of time to play and look after your fur babies. We can sit together and chill and go out and play, then take them on a beautiful walk and play because I love being outside. I have a fenced garden and am located near enclosed parks as well so dogs can run around safely i also live near the river so a beautiful little walk and they can even meet some other furry friends on the way!!
“Helpful freindly service! Kept me up to date with daily photos and did her best to cope with a fine, esteemed, gentlecat who demanded to be left to explore the wilderness! Would use again for any future trips.”

About: I have had pets in the home for over 10 years. I grew up with 2 whippets, chickens, guinea pigs and fish. I have also looked after a friend’s cat for the last few months which is what inspired me to join Rover. I am a recent graduate from drama school and currently have no other commitments. I am fully available Monday to Friday and some weekend availability I always make sure the pets are left content, comfortable and with everything they need. The home is always left clean, tidy and secure. I always take a photo when I leave to make sure.
“10/10 would recommend in a heartbeat. He was awesome. Followed all the care instructions to the T. Even though it was for only three days he had my Molly all in for cuddles and belly scratches. He replied very quickly and completed the Rover album which I didnt know existed. It was very comforting to see pictures of my baby doing well. ❤️ If I ever need a catsitter I would book with him.”

Becca takes the role very seriously and I completely trusted Becca to access the house and take good care of my cats. Her summaries at the end of each visit are comprehensive. My cats aren't the friendliest but seemed to really like Becca. I will certainly use Becca again and fully recommend.

Sam took great care of our cat oreo while we visited family over Christmas. Oreo was happy and relaxed when we came back. Sam kept us updated daily with progress and photos , it was very reassuring. Highly recommend Sam as a pet sitter and would definitely use again.

Keyu was an amazing carer for our cat who needed medication, his wounds tending to and a lot of love as well as daily feeds and litter tray cleaning. Her updates and pictures gave us peace of mind and we are very grateful to her to taking such good care of our cat. Would 100% recommend and will definitely book her help again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
