“Harriet visited my cat Daisy every day for two weeks while I was away. She was absolutely fantastic and took a good care of Daisy. Definitely recommending her to others 😊”

“Olivia was an amazing cat sitter. I was able to trust her with my cat, Puma, and our house when we were on holiday. She went above and beyond to make sure Puma was good during the heat wave. I would recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled cat sitter. Thanks again Olivia!”

“Drop in visits We were so pleased to find Annie to look after our young cats, Otis and Nina, while we were away for a few days. We had never left them overnight before but Annie reassured us when we met her. She did a fantastic job , not only feeding them etc but getting our rather nervous cats to play with her. She sent detailed reports of each visit as well as lovely photos so that we knew they were being well cared for. We would highly recommend her as a cat-sitter. Gill, Naomi, Otis and Nina.”

About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.
“Becca was absolutely amazing!!! She was very accommodating with her schedule and took such great care of our two kitties. She provided thorough daily updates and sent lots of pictures of them, which we really appreciated! Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely fantastic, Stella was lovely with Roo and gave us a comprehensive update and photos of the drop in. We’ve now scheduled her for regular drop ins and are very happy, highly recommended.”

“Elaine was kind and met us beforehand to ensure everyone was comfortable. We felt so much better while away knowing that Shadow was being well looked after. She was prompt, professional, and caring.”

About: I have had pets my whole life, including cats and dogs (and goldfish!), so I’m very experienced and comfortable taking care of animals. We had my current pets (a cat and a dog) since infancy, so I’m comfortably dealing with all ages, and I even taught my dogs some basic tricks such as paw and roll as a puppy. Similarly I also helped look after my grandmothers 20! year old dog in his final few years. I currently work part time as a barista at a local cafe, so I have plenty of time to look after pets- in evenings and on my days off! I just finished college and I’m currently on a gap year before I go to university I’m very adaptable and will tailor my care for you and your pet. For example for the more energetic pups, I’ll play with them much more than a more relaxed pet - it’s all about the pet!

About: Have often looked after my parent’s dogs when they are away from puppy age. Used to lead walking and very happy with either friendly cuddly animals or animals that like their own space. Currently working from home two days a week with flexible working arrangements to fit around bookings. The same two days are available every week so would be happy to take repeat animals to build up relationships with animals and owners. Happy to let’s pets in and out the garden, spend time with them and play, give meals, take for walks. Also happy for a prolonged visit for animals who like company, provided I could work from your home.

“Steven was amazing! He took such great care of my cat, sending daily updates and adorable photos that put me at ease. My cat was happy and well cared for, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Frederique was a great sitter for Milo! It was a late drop-in visit booking and she communicated well throughout, sharing pictures and videos of Milo, who loved spending time with her. Milo would certainly love to see Frederique again, and I would highly recommend her to others. Thank you, Frederique.”

About: I have five years of experience caring for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. I am a biology teacher and the owner of a Belgian Malinois, so I am confident handling active, intelligent and strong dogs. I provide attentive care, regular walks, playtime, feeding and basic training reinforcement, always following the owner’s instructions and the pet’s routine. I currently have a flexible schedule and can provide pet care on weekdays and weekends. I am available for walks, drop-in visits and house sitting, with enough time for exercise, play and I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medication and walking routines. I keep pets supervised, use secure leads outdoors and maintain a calm, clean and safe environment in the owner’s home.
“Thank you so much to Ilaria who came to walk Bonnie, check on the cats and give them all breakfast when I had to be off very early on a Sunday morning. She sent lots of pictures and all the pets happy when I got home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ilaria and would be very happy to have her back soon.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for years and love them all whether it’s cuddly lap dogs or racing spaniels. My work schedule doesn’t allow for me to get my own dog at the moment, so hoping to look after others’ to get my dog fix! I work biweekly shifts in Egham so could be available in the mornings or early evenings depending on the week if you’re unable to feed or walk your pet. One of my favourite things to do is go for a walk on the weekend so having your dog join me would be heaven! At home, I have a fenced garden with grass and access directly from the house or driveway within walking distance from Woking Park or the canal- depending on what type of walk they prefer! At your home, I would follow all instructions given, clean up after a messy walk and make sure I give them plenty of attention!
“Excellent cat sitter! Very friendly, attentive and overall a great person. We went on a holiday and were stress free throughout. Isa sent us videos and pictures of our kitten and we could see how great the bond between them was! Would definitely reach out to Isa again. ”

Becca has been incredible! It was our first time leaving our cat with someone and she has made us feel so at ease. Constant detailed feedbacks, multiple pictures and easily accessible if I had any questions. You can tell how passionate she is by the way she cares for our animals like its her own. She will definitely be our go to person from now on.

Jasmine looked after our cat Dexter while we were on holiday. She kept in good communication with each visit and sent us lovely photos of him. She went above and beyond and really looked after him - he was clearly very comfortable in Jasmines company. Would definitely recommend!

Sam took great care of our cat oreo while we visited family over Christmas. Oreo was happy and relaxed when we came back. Sam kept us updated daily with progress and photos , it was very reassuring. Highly recommend Sam as a pet sitter and would definitely use again.

Keyu was an amazing carer for our cat who needed medication, his wounds tending to and a lot of love as well as daily feeds and litter tray cleaning. Her updates and pictures gave us peace of mind and we are very grateful to her to taking such good care of our cat. Would 100% recommend and will definitely book her help again.
Nancy did an amazing job looking after our kittens and home while we were away. She was caring, reliable, and kept us at ease knowing our little ones were in good hands. We came back to happy, well-cared-for kittens and a tidy home. She clearly has a genuine love for animals, and it shows in the way she looks after them. I couldn’t recommend her more highly — we’ll definitely ask for her help again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
