“Catherine has been able to help out at short notice for a few dates in January. She took time out of her Sunday to come round and meet my dogs in advance, which was really kind of her and helped to put my mind at rest for my first time using Rover. During the visit itself she sent photos and updated me to let me know that all was well. Thanks so much for your help Catherine!”

“Georgia looked after my cat for a week and everything was perfect. She kept us in the loop with photos and updates and we kept us at ease. I’d happily reach out to Georgia again if our cat needs looking after! 😊”

“Lara was simply fantastic! She has been incredibly caring towards our shy cat and he completely adopted her. Totally reliable, kind, fun and dedicated. Highly recommend Lara.”

“Absolutely! Here’s a five-star review for Richard: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can't recommend Richard enough! He looked after my French Bulldog and Doberman with such care and attention. Every time he came in, he made sure they were fed, took them out for their bathroom breaks, and even sent me adorable, up-to-date photos that put my mind at ease while I was away. Richard also left a lovely message after each visit, sharing his feedback and letting me know how my pups were doing. It was clear that he genuinely cares for them and treats them like his own. I felt completely reassured knowing they were in such great hands. Thank you, Richard, for your fantastic service! I will definitely be using you again in the future!”

“Seffie looked after our cat Gus for 3 days. We would definitely book her again, communication was regular and she gave detailed report cards of how Gus had been with photos etc.. Seffie also cleaned up after Gus and left everything super tidy. Thank you so much, Seffie. X”

“Everything went great with Hollie, she was very communicative, managed to befriend our cat Pumpkin almost immediately (which is not a guarantee!) and showed how caring she was throughout, I can only recommend!”

“Lexi is a reliable, respectful, and considerate sitter who looked after our home and our Bengal cat for a week. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a caring and conscientious sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I have 19 years of experience living with and caring for cats, and I’ve regularly looked after my mum’s and dad’s dogs while they’ve been away, including feeding, walking, playing with them and keeping them company. I’ve also worked in stables, where I cared for horses and learned the importance of following routines, being reliable and putting animal welfare first. I’m confident with pets of different personalities and understand that every animal has their own routine and needs. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after. I’m currently flexible and can work around your pet’s routine. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays or looking after your pets while you’re away, I’m happy to provide reliable care. I’ll always make sure your pets get the attention, exercise and companionship they need while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home. About: I am an experienced dog walker, and have been responsible for walking my heavy boxer George through varied terrains. I would often walk more than one dog, as I have cared for my neighbors dogs before, who are a bit smaller than my boxer. I was responsible for my dogs behavior training, medication management (including regular and important medications now my George is an older boy) and trick training. I’ve also cared for my cat Izzy since she was a kitten, ensuring her well being and understanding feline behavior. I have also volunteered at my hometown animal shelter, walking and feeding dog all of different sizes, aswell as dealing with dogs that aren’t trusty of people or trained due to being abandoned. Although I don’t live with my pets anymore, I still see them as they live with my parents. I am currently fully flexible, so I am able to look after your pets this summer regardless of your needs. I am willing to come to any location and adapt to your needs. From ensuring my cat and my dog stayed safe and in the house in my hometown, which was a mountainous where a pet can easily be lost, i can assure I am a trustworthy attentive person.

Seffie looked after our cat Gus for 3 days. We would definitely book her again, communication was regular and she gave detailed report cards of how Gus had been with photos etc.. Seffie also cleaned up after Gus and left everything super tidy. Thank you so much, Seffie. X
Naomi was very polite. & Respectful of my home. She was always very punctual! As well as very efficient & organised. My cats are friendly, & came to Naomi. & Naomi looked after my 3 fur-babies very well. I would definitely recommend Naomi! & I would definitely hire her again to feed my 3 cats.

Michelle did a great job with my cat while I was away on holiday! She made sure to spend lots of time playing with and petting Sage, as well as keeping her well fed and comfortable. I got lots of photos and videos throughout my trip, so I could relax knowing my cat was calm and happy. I would recommend Michelle to anyone and will definitely be asking her to look after Sage again when I go away next.

Richard was absolutely fantastic with our two cats — a very shy adult and a super‑active kitten. They both liked him from the very first visit, which says everything. He looked after them with so much patience and kindness, and his daily updates and photos were a real comfort while we were away. He’s incredibly friendly, reliable, and genuinely lovely with animals. Highly recommended 👌

Lara was amazing! My cat is really shy and generally doesn't come close to people and within a couple of days she managed to get him to like her. Because we had just moved, I was a little nervous about him being left alone, but Lara's daily updates and pictures and sometimes videos made my holiday a lot better, I could relax about him, knowing he was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Lara for petsitting!

Fabulous experience with Margaret! She made the time to come over before I left for holiday to meet my cats and understand their needs. She sent me daily updates and pictures to reassure me that my babies were OK and I came back to two very happy and content kitties!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
