Lara was absolutely fantastic with our 3 rescue kittens. They’re quite nervous and Lara was wonderful with them and they would happily let her pick them up within only a week. The daily updates and photographs were gratefully received as this was the first time leaving them. We highly recommend Lara and will absolutely use her services next time they are needed.

Lucy was incredible with Raja who is quite a shy and nervous cat. On both occasions Raja made an appearance (if only brief) even letting her have a stroke which I think is testament to Lucy’s lovely, calm energy. Great communication and updates too. Thank you Lucy!

About: 17+ years of dog care experience, including caring for my own rescue dog for 13 years and completing two successful TrustedHousesitters assignments with positive reviews and having two more booked. I rescued a stray dog, Cuchi, and cared for him for 13 years, feeding him, taking him to the vet and administering medicine when needed. I've also taken care of dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments including cockapoos, golden retrievers and cocker spaniels.Through these experiences, I have learned that every dog is unique and deserves patient, attentive and loving care tailored to their individual needs. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight sit, I will treat them as if they were my own and give you regular updates so you may have peace of mind when you are away. I cover the Elmbridge area (East and West Molesey, Esher, Walton, Weybridge, Hersham, Claygate, Hinchley Wood, Cobham, Oxshott, Thames Ditton) as well as Kingston, Surbiton, Chessington, Hampton, Teddington, Sunbury and Twickenham. On a final note, I travel regularly to East Sussex where I have a cleaning franchise so also cover Eastbourne, Seaford, Newhaven, Hailsham, Hastings, St Leonards, Rye, Lewes, Heathfield and Tunbridge Wells. I am self-employed and work from home. I choose my own schedule which means I am very flexible and so I can always adapt to the needs of your pets. I will look after your four-legged friends as if they were my own. I strive to keep their routine consistent and relaxed while you are away. After consulting with you, I will try to understand the character each pet has as well as their needs and preferences so they feel secure. During visits I feed them, give them fresh water, walks, play with them and show them affection. I can administer medication if needed, clean litter trays and keep your house tidy. I know you will be thinking about your pets while you are away and I can send you regular photos and messages to update you on how they are doing. I will adapt to them whether they are boisterous, shy, young or old. That way, you will return to a home with happy pets.

About: I’ve grown up around both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. For the past 8 years, I’ve regularly walked, boarded, and cared for my mum’s French bulldog, Coco, giving me hands-on experience with daily routines, companionship, play and attentive care. I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs in my home for up to two weeks at a time while they’ve been on holiday, so I’m comfortable providing consistent, loving care over longer stays. I’m patient, reliable, and love getting to know each pet’s personality and needs. I’m currently working part time so have dedicated days off, and work from home one day a week, which could suit anyone looking to establish consistency of care for their dog as part of a new routine. Please note, my daycare rate is based on 8:30-17:30 Monday to Friday and 10:00-17:00 Saturday & Sunday. Additional care outside of these times will be an extra £6 per hour capped at a total of my overnight rate, and the total will be confirmed to you before I accept your booking. I have a good sized enclosed garden and open plan (hard floor) living for dogs to enjoy. I have a bath with shower and am happy to bathe dogs as requested. I have lots of dog toys, blankets and towels and your dog will always have a full water bowl. Dietary requirements and dog needs will be catered to as requested.

About: I have volunteered with animal shelters and charities since the age of 14 I currently work for a separate pet sitting company local to my area but I am looking to branch out on my own I am an animal fanatic, owning 11 pets myself and always ensure that your pets are treated like my own, with plenty of tender loving care 💕 I am in full time education and have a part time job at a local football club. Otherwise I’m available before school, afterschool and on the weekends around the same times. Half terms and during exam season I am completely free I usually feed clients early in the morning around 7am ish and later at night around 6pm ish to fit within my schedule. This lets me ensure all animals receive the attention they deserve and it means that no animals are over looked. I take safety very seriously ensuring all homes and pets are left the way I found them. I aim to try and build bonds with the pets to help reduce stress and I like to meet the pets first so I am a semi- familiar face when the time comes to caring for them

About: I am currently studying Animal Psychology and Behavior and have gained professional qualifications in animal behavior and dog training. With my experience working with dogs of various personalities and behavioral issues, I prioritize treating them with respect and compassion. In training, I rely on positive reward-based methods to achieve the best results. Additionally, my expertise in dog body language enables me to understand their needs and ensure they are met adequately. My passion for animals and dedication to their welfare make me a reliable resource for anyone seeking assistance with their furry friend. I have a policy of accepting only one dog per booking. I am available for early morning, late evening, and weekend walks. On weekends I am able to take dogs for a day care. One dog at a time. During walks I will always keep your dog on the lead. I like to incoroporate some fun games in walks, such as ''find it''. Walks are not just an oportunity for dogs to run and play, but it is a great way for them how to learn to use their nose and learn loose leash walking.

Richard was absolutely fantastic with our two cats — a very shy adult and a super‑active kitten. They both liked him from the very first visit, which says everything. He looked after them with so much patience and kindness, and his daily updates and photos were a real comfort while we were away. He’s incredibly friendly, reliable, and genuinely lovely with animals. Highly recommended 👌

Lara was amazing! My cat is really shy and generally doesn't come close to people and within a couple of days she managed to get him to like her. Because we had just moved, I was a little nervous about him being left alone, but Lara's daily updates and pictures and sometimes videos made my holiday a lot better, I could relax about him, knowing he was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Lara for petsitting!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Elmbridge on Rover is £12.65 per Visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 7,690 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Elmbridge. About 90% of Elmbridge sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
