“Sarah was really wonderful with caring for my two cats for a week that we were away. She was punctual, reliable and provided helpful updates with photos of the fluff babies (which is always important when being away from them!). “Really excellent service from Sebastian. He dropped in to feed and administer medicine to my two cats every day for five days. He cheerfully kept me updated with photos and videos, was totally reliable, the litter tray was properly cleared each day, I returned to happy cats and a clean smelling flat, he had tidied the daily cat destruction and even took the rubbish bag out at the end of the stay. Thoroughly recommend. Thanks Sebastian!”

About: I have had pets growing up from rabbits to fish to cats and more recently helping with dogs. I love all breeds of dogs and cats and would go above and beyond to make sure you and your pet very comfortable. I would love them like my own. I have experience with vocal/trickier dogs and house cats. I’m completely able to design my week how I like - I work full time but I can work from home and rise earlier and take long lunches for walks etc. Although I live in a flat I have taken care of dogs in this flat as I am local to a big grassy area for quick toilet visits and a huge park for longer walks. When caring in someone else’s home I would be incredibly respectful of the space and treat it like my own - very tidy and caring.
“I would 100% recommend and book Joanne again to look after our cat Lollipop, she updated me with photos of her, her tray, food and water. Lollipop was happy too with her cuddles Thank you Joanne”

“Iwona took excellent care of both Fred and Milly. Her attention to detail is excellent, particularly with our very young puppy, taking care to know his routine and training needs. We are very grateful for her excellent care of our pets and house and will be using her sitting services again!”

“Jack looked after our cat while we were away for a long weekend. He kept us updated throughout, sending daily photos and messages. Moon can be a bit wary of new people, yet he was settled and relaxed when we got home. We'd happily book with Jack again”

About: Me and my partner have grown up around dogs and unfortunately can’t have one of our own at the moment, so Rover is perfect for us! We love all kinds of dogs and have great places to take them for walks near by. On week days I get home around 5 as does my partner however, he is a 5 minute walk from home and tends to go home to make lunch and works from home on Fridays. We are usually free on the weekend and would love a dog to take on a walk with us and play with. As we have both grown up around dogs we have both experienced looking after puppies and elderly dogs and when to feed and walk them. As we don’t have a completely fenced garden we luckily have great walks to take them on close by. However, we do have a small front lawn and side garden to let them out on the lead on. We love and miss the company of having a dog around and would look forward to having one around again.
About: I’ve had a dog in my family for as long as I can remember and I can’t imagine life without one! I know how important dogs are to owners so I will always ensure they are safe and well taken care of! I recently moved to the UK and am excited to get to know the area by taking your dogs on long walks! I am currently working in the evenings so am free mornings and afternoons for pet care. I understand the value of respecting the pets’ home and making sure everything is just as I found it! I understand everyone has unique rules for their homes and pets and look forward to working together to ensure those standards are met!

Quinn was great looking after Pancetta and Noodles while we were away! We got regular updates and came home to two very happy cats, so it was lovely knowing they were in good hands while we were away. 😊 Really happy with the service and would definitely recommend Quinn and book again. Thanks so much!

Once again, Harriet took great care of Maggie. Although she doesn't get to see Maggie - as she's extremely shy - Harriet still looks after all her needs and provides regular updates keeping me in touch with what's going on. I have no hesitation in recommended Harriet.

Claire was just amazing! From day one the communication was easy and she kept me posted everyday with pics, videos and thorough updates. She is also very knowledgeable. A couple of things came up and she knew how to deal with them. Always asking for permission, feedback and advising what she would do. Usually the cat is quite stressed when I come back after a few days out and this time it felt like she was living her best life!

Fantastic cat sitter! Lindsey is knowledgable & experienced at caring for cats. She's attentive, reliable and always arrived on time. Lindsey took wonderful care of our two cats, spent time making sure they had everything they needed, and sent us lots of lovely photos. We came home to two happy, relaxed cats and would happily book them again. Highly recommended!
Shirley was brilliant at caring for Roo while I was away, I had a lot of anxiety about leaving him a few weeks post dental surgery and in his senior age, but Shirley provided all the reassurance and updates I needed for my peace of mind, and Roo was in great hands!

Lyn always does a great job looking after our cat, but this time she really went above and beyond. Our flight home was cancelled at the last minute and we weren’t able to get another one until the following day. Thankfully, Lyn always holds onto our house key until we let her know we’re safely home for exactly this kind of situation. She was able to step in and feed Norman twice more until we finally made it back, which took a huge amount of pressure off us during an already stressful time. We’re incredibly grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Jurate looked after our 3 cats during our summer holidays and she's someone I would highly recommend. She's been always reliable and proactive in sending us updates on the cats and when we were back from holidays we could see how happy the cats were to have her around.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
