“Richard was amazing. The handover session was very helpful when he met us and our dog. He was immediately at ease competent and kind on meeting the dog . He was keen to learn about our requirements and the dogs All relevant information was exchanged about the number and timings of visits and Richard actually fitted in an extra visit to check the dog was alright in the heatwave We were very happy with Richard’s care ..and so was the dog”
About: I've been caring for cats and dogs since I was 16 years old. I'm now hoping to share that love and care with your pet! I'm available for boarding on weekdays or weekends. Just give me a couple of days' notice to get things organised for your pet's holiday hotel! I don't currently have any pets, so your animal will not have to worry about sharing space or being confined with other animals. I have no garden but have more than enough green space close by for extended walks.
“We couldn’t be happier with Neetal. Meli, our 15‑week‑old dachshund, absolutely adores her — tail wagging the moment she arrives. She’s fantastic with updates throughout each visit, always quick to respond, and genuinely so accommodating. It’s such a relief knowing Meli is in such caring hands. Truly couldn’t recommend a better sitter. So pleased 💛🐶”

“Christina was incredibly friendly and did an amazing job looking after my cat Levi while I was away over the Easter weekend. She organised a meet and greet before I went away and she put any concerns I had at ease. Levi loved her and she really went the extra mile to ensure that he was well looked after and I was updated every step of the way. I would recommend Christina to anybody looking for somebody to sit their pet, Levi is already looking forward to her next visit!”

“Millie my cat was very happy and very relaxed after being looked after by Caroline, it was lovely to see the videos and photos and updates everyday, as it gives you peace of mind that my cat is ok. Caroline was lovely and it makes me happy that my cat had the comfort of her own home rather than being in a Cattery.”

“Once again, Anna was excellent with our cat while we were away. Communication, including daily updates and photos, was great and massively appreciated. We will definitely book with Anna again”

“Quinn was great! Visited before, quick to reply before. Was very quiet during but we had terrible signal as we were at a festival. We got back a little early and they were here and cat was super chilled out and now we are back - he seems very happy! Had left a lovely note and things too. Would book again if we’re away! Thanks Quinn 💛”

“I can't recommend Tulips enough! Professional, reliable & replies quickly. She managed my 3 needy Ragdolls (incl. 2 lively kittens) perfectly. One was purring on her lap by the 2nd visit! Frequent photo updates kept me at ease. Came home to very happy cats as if I'd never left. I will certainly be booking her again. Highly recommended!”

Whether it’s a leisurely stroll in the park, or overnight care, I ensure your furry friend will be happy, safe, and well loved. I have a lot of free time away from work. I enjoy walking (a lot), so having some furry company would be nice! In the event that my schedule changes, you will be notified in good time. Immediately, I would get to know your pets personality, and establish a safe and comfortable space. Routine is also imperative, and this would not be compromised. I also know the importance of updates, so you would never have to worry about what your dog is up to! (Regular pictures, and videos can be provided if requested)
“I would 100% recommend and book Joanne again to look after our cat Lollipop, she updated me with photos of her, her tray, food and water. Lollipop was happy too with her cuddles Thank you Joanne”

About: I worked at a doggy daycare for 2 years, as a van driver, carer and also dog boarding. Myself and my mum have dog boarded for over 13 years. I have been doing self employed doggy walks/boarding for 5 years now looking after many different breeds and some still come to me from the daycare I used to work. I work from home with my full time job 3 days of the week. Living with my family. I currently work full time. However, I work from home 3 days a week. Working from home means I can be at home with them. I'm in the office Wednesdays and Thursdays, but I am home latest 4:30 to then be with them in the evenings. I have a fenced garden. I have a porch door so no one can run out the front door. The garden is quite big and enough space for them to run around. I also have a park over the road if they are not good in cars.
“Izzy kindly helped with two visits in one day for our 16 month Labrador, Poppy. She was great - walked, fed and played with Poppy who was probably a bit overexcited to meet a new face! I would definitely recommend!”

June took great care of my cat, Pixie, while I was away on holiday. She kept me fully updated with messages and photos, which was very reassuring. Pixie is quite a timid girl, and but she was happy, relaxed and clearly very well looked after when I got home. I would highly recommend June as a caring and reliable cat sitter; I’ve already booked her for my next trip! Thanks a lot, June :)
Stuart made my fluffy boy Tito happy and relaxed while I was away sending me regular updates! He kept everything clean and tidy! Also had administered Tito medication without any issues following the 12 hours gaps, which reassured me and i really appreciate it! Stuart is a great cat sitter and I will book Stuart again in the future!

I can’t recommend Julia highly enough! She took such amazing care of my cat while I was away for two weeks. She didn’t just feed him, she genuinely looked after him and treated him like her own. During the heatwave, she even brought extra cold treats and added water to his food to make sure he stayed hydrated. Every visit included time playing with him and giving him attention, rather than simply coming in and leaving. My cat is very shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to new people, but he loved Julia from their very first meeting. That alone says so much about how kind and caring she is. Knowing he was with someone who truly loves cats meant I could completely relax and enjoy my trip without worrying about his wellbeing. Julia was always on time, reliable and went above and beyond in every way. She is simply the best cat sitter I could have asked for!

Highly recommend! Becky took amazing care of Midge over the past 5 days while I was away. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. Midge is usually a bit shy around new people, but she warmed up to Becky right away. I came home to a very happy, relaxed kitty and a perfectly clean space. I will definitely be booking Becky again!

Hollie was amazing, she kept me updated whilst we were away and was excellent at communicating before and during the booking. I would 100% use her again and would definately recommend her services. Such a lovely trust worthy lady. Darwin was a very happy customer 🥰

We cannot recommend Sonia highly enough - she looked after our 3 cats brilliantly while we were away for 5 days. In addition to the general "looking after" of our fur babies (which she did brilliantly) Sonia went that extra mile by giving each of them individual attention, playing with them and spoiling them with treats etc which we so appreciated. We were sent regular photos and videos which were great to receive. Initially, one of our cats did play up (in protest of our leaving them) and played hard to get but Sonia was an absolute trooper and managed with her cat whisperer skills to bring them around. We cannot thank Sonia enough for the care she took of our babies - it was great to be able to go away and know that your fur babies were in safe hands and would be well looked after and spoilt in our absence.

Jacquie is an amazing sitter! She took such a good care of my two cats. She always sent updates and pictures during each visit and it just felt safe have her there taking care of Cookie and Spaghetti who really loved her! x Hopefully we’ll be in touch again soon!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
