About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for most of my life, and caring for pets has always felt natural to me. Growing up, our family home was full of life with dogs, and that experience shaped how comfortable and attentive I am with animals of different personalities. We had two dogs in particular who left a lasting impression on me. My sister had a cocker spaniel who was affectionate and playful, and later during my university years I had a Weimaraner—full of energy and always ready for adventure. He and I quickly bonded over our shared love of morning runs, so I’m especially confident handling active, high-energy dogs who need both physical exercise and mental stimulation. More recently, our family welcomed a cockapoo who still lives with my sister, and I’ve remained closely involved in caring for him whenever I visit. Overall, I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—whether that’s going for a long walk, keeping them company at home, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My setup works really well for pet care — I'm based at home the majority of the week, with just one day out that can flex depending on what's needed. That means I'm available for boarding almost any day, weekends included. Plenty of calm company, no rush, no stress. I live in a third floor flat, so no escape risks and a nice calm environment away from the chaos of the street. The building has a fenced garden which is great for a bit of fresh air, and if your pet needs a longer stretch, Richmond Park is just around the corner — hard to beat. No other pets in the flat, so your cat or dog gets the full run of the place and all of our attention. My 10 year old daughter absolutely loves animals, so they'll have a little devoted fan following them around too.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong cat lover and proud cat parent to two lovely cats of my own. I’ve grown up with cats since childhood, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’m available full-time and can provide attentive, loving care for your feline friends while you’re away.
“Melek was really friendly & totally understands cats! She took good care of Orlando & sent me daily videos so I could see Orlando was happy & relaxed. Melek also fed the wild birds in the garden for me too! Thankyou”

About: I have lived with dogs and cats and the occasional hamster my whole life and adore them. I have looked after people’s pets many times throughout Covid but had to stop for a couple of years due to some work commitments. However, my availability has opened up and am very eager to get back to helping out. I am a 29 year old Pilates instructor in Richmond and Barnes. I have a flexible schedule, especially during the daytime and am excited to look after your cat or dog! I am a Pilates instructor, therefore I mostly work early mornings and have the rest of the day free. The only day I work from morning to evening, are Tuesdays. I live in the heart of Richmond and love to make use of all the green spaces. I am incredibly reliable and trusting. I work and live in and around Richmond, and have a great relationship with all my clients in the community. It is very important to me, that I uphold that reputation as a pet sitter.
“Bizhen was fantastic and was able to help come over last minute. She was considerate and careful during the heat wave and highly trustworthy. I recommend her to anyone”

“Anya took great care of Biscuit. Super responsive, communicative and I felt good leaving Biscuit to be cared for by her. Biscuit can be challenging, especially with new people, so I really appreciated Anya following our needs and care instructions. We came home to Biscuit being very happy. Would recommend!”

“What can I say… Carina was absolutely amazing! My boys adored her, and she sent reassuring updates so I was able to enjoy Christmas away. I came back to two very happy and relaxed chaps - thank you so much, I couldn’t recommend her more! 🌟”

“I had a fantastic experience with my cat sitter, Habiba. She was great, sweet, and super professional. She kept me up to date with regular communication throughout the time she was taking care of my cat. I will definitely book her again in the future. I highly recommend her! Thank you Habiba :)”

About: Hello! I’m Roné (but go by my second name, Stella!), a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I grew up in South Africa surrounded by pets - terriers, German shepherds, Maltese poodles, and rescue cats - and spent my childhood running around our big garden and sandy beaches with my dogs, forming the kind of deep, joyful bond that only pets can bring. Now living in the UK, I miss having pets of my own (apartment rules don’t allow them), which is why I love caring for your furry family members while you’re away. Whether it’s keeping your dog happy, walked, and well-fed, or making sure your cats feel safe, loved, and their routines maintained, you can trust me to treat them like my own. I understand how important it is to leave your pets and your home in good hands, and I pride myself on being reliable, tidy, and communicative. I’m always happy to tailor my care to your pets’ unique needs, so please feel free to get in touch - I’d be delighted to help! I work flexible hours fully remotely so all I need is a good internet connection and my laptop. Please rest assured that your pet will receive plenty of cuddles and their walks throughout my work day Please note that I do not provide boarding or doggy day care due to rent restrictions of my apartment as no pets are allowed in the building.
About: Whether you’re away for the day, or perhaps a few nights, I make sure your pets stay comfortable, safe, and happy at home. Daily walks, feedings, playtime, and updates included. Peace of mind matters as much as good company. I offer dependable pet sitting with a flexible schedule that works around you and your pet’s routine. I’m a fitness enthusiast, so I’m often out walking local parks and nature trails, which is perfect for dogs who enjoy staying active and getting fresh air. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a long walk, or overnight care, I adapt to what your pet needs. I keep things simple, safe, and stress-free. I work full time- but flexibly, affording me time before and after my working hours. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I treat the space with the same respect I’d expect from someone looking after mine. I follow your routines and instructions closely, so your pet feels secure and settled in their familiar environment. I keep things tidy, stick to agreed boundaries, and make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and rest they need. Whether it’s watering plants, collecting post, or keeping things in order, I’m happy to help with the little things that make your time away easier.

About: My name is Aga , I'm a mum of 2 children (14 and 18) and we would love to have a dog( I was an owner of 2 dogs before) but as we are renting we are not allowed to have one. We have had a cat for 10 years. I would love to have the possibilty to help someone and at the same time me and my children can give your dog a good time and exercise if essential:) we love spending time outdoors in parks and always dreaming to have a doggy with us. I m sure if you choose us your dog will have an amazing time and come home happy and fit. I’m often busy but my kids can be trusted to treat your pet with love and an amazing walk if you are comfortable with that and have walked dogs before through Rover. I'm currently quite busy but my children are often free and have experience in walking and looking after other people's dogs. We once had our neighbours go on holiday and we offered to look after their dog for 2 weeks and it all went well. Our house is a very safe environment for pets. We had a cat for around 10 years and have now introduced another one into our home.

Niamh was great with my cat Max! She came over took the time to make him comfortable with her and by the end of her visits he was very fond of her! David is a lovely person and an excellent cat sitter. He looked after our two cats for ten days. He stayed longer than planned and was very independent. His regular updates really put our minds at ease. We plan to use his services again for our future trips. I would recommend him without hesitation.
We booked with Elettra so last minute due to some changes in original friend sitting plans and she was so quick to respond and accept the booking etc She was on time each time and provided lots of communication and photos which we so desperately needed given the last minute nature and first time leaving our kitten! I could tell from the photos that our son loved her and was happy during her visit. Totally put our minds at ease. Highly, highly recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!

Juliana gave Luna so much love and attention. We returned to a very healthy happy cat. She also sent photos daily to keep us informed and let us know when the food was running out. We were so happy with her care. We will definitely reach out again in the future. Thank you Juliana xx💕

I can’t recommend Laura enough for cat sitting! She’s incredibly punctual and reliable, and I loved that she sent me updates every hour so I never had to wonder how things were going. She’s so kind and clearly loves animals — Bosbos took to her right away, which says everything. It’s such a relief to leave your pet with someone this caring and responsible. Highly recommend!
Jack was really kind and friendly. He followed the instructions exactly as we told them and he even sent us plenty of videos and pictures which brought us a lot of joy whilst away from Lilly. Lilly was a bit shy at first but she quickly warmed up to Jack quickly forgetting about us. This goes to show that Jack gave her loads of attention and play time during the visits which I personally find to be really important. He was also kind enough to water our plants and left the house very clean. We will definitely be booking with Jack again! Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
