Hello! I’m Karen, a friendly, reliable and caring pet sitter offering pet care in your pet’s own home. I’ve owned and cared for pets for many years, as well as looking after animals for friends and family. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship and administering medication when needed. I’m naturally very attentive to animals and have a keen ability to read their body language and subtle cues, which helps me understand when they want affection, play, reassurance or simply a little space. When caring for your pet, I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, settled and comfortable while you’re away. Depending on their needs, this can include: walks, playtime, feeding, medication, lots of company and, of course, plenty of cuddles for pets who enjoy them! I currently have good flexibility on most weekdays and weekends, which means I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care rather than rushing in and out. I work a regular 9-5 job, remote most days/weeks so I am able to create a schedule that works for your pet care needs. Every pet has their own personality, and I really enjoy getting to know what makes each one happy and comfortable. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring hands.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, settled and comfortable. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, body language and individual needs, including when they want affection, playtime or a little space. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, medication and home security. I always make sure windows, doors, and gates are kept secure - I treat every owner’s home with care and respect. (I will also water plants if requested). I’ll provide regular updates with photos and videos, so you know your pet is happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away!

I highly recommend Karen. I think she must be a cat whisperer. Karen looked after my very shy long haired cat who she quickly became friends with. I loved the daily updates that Karen sent and I came home to one very happy relaxed well looked after cat.
I hired Karen to walk my dog while I was at a wedding. I was so happy with her! She came over to let me show her around my home and show her where things are the day before - which I really appreciated! She was very attentive and communicative while she was checking in on my dog; sending pictures and letting me know how he was doing/being with her and how far they walked. She is a bright, polite and respectful human. I knew her before I found her on rover through our community in Twickenham, and I can attest that she is a wonderful person all around, and that you can absolutely trust her with your animal. She’s kind and understanding of both animals and humans, and loves a long walk! 😜 I love how she was able to read my dog and adapt her plan to what she sees he’s signalling. She allowed my dog to take his time to get comfortable and I could see how happy he became because of it. Karen definitely passed Nori’s vibe check and I will hire her as a regular dog sitter/walker in the future! Thank you soooo much Karen! ☺️
I’m very happy to provide a testimonial for one of the most caring and compassionate people I know. Whenever I’ve needed Karen to look after Skye, she has always gone out of her way to make things work for us, and I truly appreciate how accommodating and thoughtful she is. Skye can be a little rambunctious at times, but Karen takes such wonderful care of her and treats her with so much patience, love, and attention. You can always tell when your dog genuinely enjoys being somewhere, and with Skye, there’s absolutely no question. She gets so excited when we arrive, jumping around and even whining with excitement in the back of the car as we pull up to Karen’s house. It’s honestly one of the best signs that she feels happy, safe, and loved there. I have absolutely no hesitation in giving Karen a glowing review. It’s very clear how much she genuinely loves and cares for Skye, as well as the other animals she looks after. Knowing that my pup is in the hands of someone who treats her with so much kindness and affection means the world to me. I couldn’t recommend Karen more highly.
Karen is an amazing pet caregiver. She has looked after Paddy multiple times and always gives us regular updates. Paddy loves Karen and we feel very lucky! We definitely recommend Karen looking after your pets :)

Schedule
I regularly work from home (M-F, 9-5) and am able to structure my days and meetings around my animal caring responsibilities, we can discuss this further in person!
