About: I’ve always had a love for animals and have been lucky enough to grow up surrounded by them. I owned a dog while growing up, I currently care for three cats, and I also have experience looking after small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. This has given me a strong understanding of different needs, behaviours, and personalities. What sets me apart as a sitter is my genuine patience and dedication. I treat every pet as if they were my own — making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it’s energetic walks, gentle care for older pets, or simply providing company and cuddles, I tailor my approach to each animal. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, so I make communication a priority and will always keep you updated. My goal is simple: happy pets, and peace of mind for you. I’m available most of the time for house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. My flexible routine means I can give your pets the care and attention they need, whether it’s for a night or just a daily check-in. I provide a safe and loving environment where pets feel at home. My space is pet-friendly and secure, and I always stick closely to each owner’s instructions. I’m reliable, caring, and make sure every pet feels happy and comfortable.

About: I’ve had animals my whole life, including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and even goldfish. I’ve also cared for rescue animals that had been neglected or mistreated, which taught me the importance of patience, kindness, and building trust. I currently have three cats: Olly, who is 10, Molly, who is 5, and Nova, who is 12 weeks old. They all have completely different personalities, and caring for them has taught me how important it is to understand each animal’s individual needs. Some love lots of fuss and cuddles, while others prefer their own space. Some enjoy being brushed, while others don’t. I enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for in the way that suits them best. They’re wonderful company and always great listeners! I believe that building trust with animals takes time, patience, and consistency. I enjoy getting to know them at their own pace and learning what makes them feel safe and happy. I also trained my Labrador to sit and give his paw using positive reinforcement, patience, consistency, and plenty of treats. I’m very observant and quick to notice when an animal isn’t acting like themselves. When my cat Jimmy became unwell, I recognised the signs immediately and took him straight to the vet. Sadly, he couldn’t be saved, but I was grateful that I acted quickly. I’ve also noticed changes in the behaviour of my current cats, which led to them receiving the surgery and treatment they needed. I take pride in understanding every animal’s individual personality, routine, and preferences. My goal is always to make them feel safe, loved, and relaxed while giving owners complete peace of mind that their pets are receiving the best possible care. Caring for cats and dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently have the flexibility to dedicate my time to providing reliable, attentive care, and my goal is to make pet sitting my main focus. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with lupus. After working closely with my medical team and trying different treatments, my condition is now stable and well managed. The experience made me rethink what I wanted from my career. Rather than returning to a traditional 9-to-5 role, I decided I wanted to do something I’m genuinely passionate about. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and spending time caring for them brings me real happiness. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can give pets the time, patience, and attention they deserve while keeping to their normal routines. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable, I’m committed to providing the best possible care and giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. I always care for pets as if they were my own. Before looking after them, I like to learn about their usual routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any medical requirements. I know how important it is for pets to stick to their normal routine, as it helps them feel safe and relaxed while their owner is away. In a pet owner’s home, I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter trays or toilet breaks, plenty of exercise and playtime where appropriate, and lots of love and attention. I also keep their home tidy and secure and send regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where they can settle in comfortably. I make sure they have plenty of attention, enrichment, and rest while following the routine they’re used to as closely as possible. I’m very observant and always keep an eye on a pet’s behaviour, appetite, and overall wellbeing. If I notice anything unusual, I will contact the owner straight away and seek veterinary advice if needed. My priority is always making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for.

About: I’m the proud owner of a beautiful Italian Greyhound named Raphael and have extensive experience caring for dogs of all breeds, needs, dispositions and ages. My passion for dogs has spanned decades: as a teenager, I volunteered for the RSPCA and The Cinnamon Trust and as an adult have volunteered at Animal Rescue Kerala and Karma Animal Trust in India and Pound Dogs for Adoption in Cyprus. I’m a teacher who works remotely and in my spare time, I would be more than happy to help out with feeding, walking and/or sitting. As a remote teacher, I have plenty of time to make new four-legged friends! I enjoy keeping busy and getting out and about with my own dog, so this lifestyle suits me perfectly. I live in a first-floor flat with my doggo and we go for at least two long walks a day. There are green spaces at the front and back for toilet breaks.

About: As a veterinary medicine student, I have a lot of experience with handling dogs and cats. I have also got a lot of knowledge about administering medicine to cats and dogs and reading their behaviour based on their body language and facial expressions. I have three cats of my own who mean the world to me, as many of our pets do. Apart from small animals, I have worked with British wildlife such as hedgehogs, foxes and pigeons, with farm animals and with horses so I have a broad skillset. I often look after my neighbours cats and dogs when they go away on holiday and would like to extend my help to people in my local area. I am currently on my summer holidays for 4 months from University and have no other jobs so I should be quite flexible about when and where I can provide animal care. I take safety very seriously and would make sure that when I am visiting an owner's home that I am respectful of their instructions. For example, if I am cat sitting, I would ensure I am well informed about whether they would like the cat to be indoors or outdoors when I leave the house, or if I am taking a dog for a walk, I would respect where the owner would like me to walk them (e.g. a local park).

Akshay is deeply committed to providing the best care for your pets. He was easy to communicate with, and followed all the instructions we left for our two cats, providing updates on his visits. We have one very shy cat who was rubbing against Akshay and very comfortable in his prescence which shows he has a great approach and understand cats and how to look after them. I would reccomend Akshay as a great pet sitter / carer.

About: Animals have been a constant part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a household with cats and a German Shepherd x Husky mix for 15 years, I became well-versed in the daily rhythms of pet life—from the importance of a consistent feeding schedule to recognizing when a dog needs a long walk to burn off energy. While much of my experience comes from being part of a pet-loving family, I am a dedicated and attentive companion to every animal I meet. I regularly join in on walks and play sessions with my partner’s dog, and I’ve always been the person neighbors trust to spend time with their pets. I am excited to transition my lifelong love for animals into a focused walking service where I can provide your pet with the same care, attention, and safety I’ve given my own family pets for years. As a self-employed professional working partly from home and as a Supporting Artist, I enjoy a highly flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize your pet's needs. Because I manage my own hours, I can easily accommodate mid-day walks, last-minute check-ins, or morning strolls on the days I am not on set. My 'work-from-home' days mean I am often available when most people are at their desks, ensuring your dog gets the attention and exercise they need right when they need it most. I am a great communicator and will always keep my calendar updated so you know exactly when I’m available to jump in and help! My approach to pet care is centered on safety, communication, and individual needs. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I start every relationship by learning about their specific behaviors, triggers, and 'house rules.' Whether I’m providing a high-energy 'buster' walk to tire out an active pup or staying overnight to keep them company in the comfort of their own home, I treat your pets like family. • Customized Care: I always check for specific medical needs, dietary restrictions, or behavioral quirks (like leash pulling or being shy around other dogs) before we start. •Home Respect: For overnight stays, I maintain your home’s security and cleanliness while ensuring your pet feels zero stress in your absence. • Frequent Updates: You’ll receive plenty of photos and updates so you can see exactly how much fun your pet is having! My goal is to provide a seamless experience where your pet stays happy, healthy, and tired out by the time you get home.

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and my experience in pet care reflects that passion. During the holidays, I used to walk dogs, ensuring they got the exercise, attention, and care they needed while their owners were away. I also have my own cat, so I understand firsthand the responsibility and affection that pets require. My friends and family trust me as their first choice for cat sitting, knowing I provide a calm, loving environment for their pets. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet in my care feels comfortable and happy. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide top-quality cat care whenever needed. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping your feline friend company, I can easily work around my uni timings to ensure they get the attention and care they deserve. With years of experience caring for cats—both my own and those of friends and family—you can trust that your pet is in safe, loving hands. Safety, Trust & Environment I provide a safe and loving environment for pets, whether in my home or the owner’s home. I ensure they are comfortable, well-cared-for, and happy. I prioritise cleanliness, follow any special instructions, and give pets the attention they deserve. Trust is key, and I always treat pets as if they were my own.

About: Currently, I’m a university student studying film. In the past few years, I’ve worked at an animal hospital, where I took care of stray wildlife, including foxes and birds. I’ve been looking after pets since I was 10 and I have experience with animals such as horses, dogs, cats and hedgehogs. I’m currently working as a stable hand, grooming, cleaning tack, feeding and taking horses out into the field are part of my job description. I have experience in grooming, administering medication, flea treatment and I often read books on animal behaviour and anatomy just for fun, as I find it interesting and important to be able to know what our furry friends are communicating as well as knowing the different parts of their fascinating bodies. I’m currently a student and working part time once a week, so I’m available on the weekends and weekdays (evenings) to walk your furry friends! I have a friendly kitten who is very playful. I also have an extra room for any animals that prefer to be alone or for medical reasons.

Fabio has just looked after Nemo, our 17 year old cat, for a week and we are over the moon with how well Nemo has been treated. Fabio has been super responsive and sent us really great photos of Nemo as well which showed how happy and contented he was. It was such a hot week but multiple water bowls were filled and Nemo was looked after like a king. Fabio also left areas really tidy and we were really grateful for that. House was safe and secure which gave us peace of mind. Thank you so much again Fabio and we will be sure to be in touch with you when we next go away.

There are 7,653 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Hounslow. About 90% of Hounslow sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
