About: I’ve taken care of cats most of my life. Also had cats that have had kittens. Before I had my sons I used to have 2 dogs Staffordshires used to love our Dailey walks. I had to move house so I gave them to a friend I’m mostly at home and I have 2 cats so I’m pretty flexible . I also drive so I can get to anywhere. I love dog walking especially in the parks I have a fenced yard and I own 2 cats which are ok with dogs. I own my own house so it’s pet friendly. I have 2 rooms downstairs it’s spacious
“What can I say… Carina was absolutely amazing! My boys adored her, and she sent reassuring updates so I was able to enjoy Christmas away. I came back to two very happy and relaxed chaps - thank you so much, I couldn’t recommend her more! 🌟”

“Akshay is deeply committed to providing the best care for your pets. He was easy to communicate with, and followed all the instructions we left for our two cats, providing updates on his visits. We have one very shy cat who was rubbing against Akshay and very comfortable in his prescence which shows he has a great approach and understand cats and how to look after them. I would reccomend Akshay as a great pet sitter / carer.”

About: Animals have been a constant part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a household with cats and a German Shepherd x Husky mix for 15 years, I became well-versed in the daily rhythms of pet life—from the importance of a consistent feeding schedule to recognizing when a dog needs a long walk to burn off energy. While much of my experience comes from being part of a pet-loving family, I am a dedicated and attentive companion to every animal I meet. I regularly join in on walks and play sessions with my partner’s dog, and I’ve always been the person neighbors trust to spend time with their pets. I am excited to transition my lifelong love for animals into a focused walking service where I can provide your pet with the same care, attention, and safety I’ve given my own family pets for years. As a self-employed professional working partly from home and as a Supporting Artist, I enjoy a highly flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize your pet's needs. Because I manage my own hours, I can easily accommodate mid-day walks, last-minute check-ins, or morning strolls on the days I am not on set. My 'work-from-home' days mean I am often available when most people are at their desks, ensuring your dog gets the attention and exercise they need right when they need it most. I am a great communicator and will always keep my calendar updated so you know exactly when I’m available to jump in and help! My approach to pet care is centered on safety, communication, and individual needs. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I start every relationship by learning about their specific behaviors, triggers, and 'house rules.' Whether I’m providing a high-energy 'buster' walk to tire out an active pup or staying overnight to keep them company in the comfort of their own home, I treat your pets like family. • Customized Care: I always check for specific medical needs, dietary restrictions, or behavioral quirks (like leash pulling or being shy around other dogs) before we start. •Home Respect: For overnight stays, I maintain your home’s security and cleanliness while ensuring your pet feels zero stress in your absence. • Frequent Updates: You’ll receive plenty of photos and updates so you can see exactly how much fun your pet is having! My goal is to provide a seamless experience where your pet stays happy, healthy, and tired out by the time you get home.

About: I am a mum of a toddler who is known by everyone as a huge cat lover. I am half English and half French, married to a South African so a very international family. I have had cats my whole life and most of them from when they were 6 week old kittens. I love to learn as much as possible about cat care including how to properly clip their nails, administering medicine and brushing fur. I like to be very informed about cats but especially I love to give them love and cuddles, whilst respecting the cats who need time and space.
About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and my experience in pet care reflects that passion. During the holidays, I used to walk dogs, ensuring they got the exercise, attention, and care they needed while their owners were away. I also have my own cat, so I understand firsthand the responsibility and affection that pets require. My friends and family trust me as their first choice for cat sitting, knowing I provide a calm, loving environment for their pets. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet in my care feels comfortable and happy. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide top-quality cat care whenever needed. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping your feline friend company, I can easily work around my uni timings to ensure they get the attention and care they deserve. With years of experience caring for cats—both my own and those of friends and family—you can trust that your pet is in safe, loving hands. Safety, Trust & Environment I provide a safe and loving environment for pets, whether in my home or the owner’s home. I ensure they are comfortable, well-cared-for, and happy. I prioritise cleanliness, follow any special instructions, and give pets the attention they deserve. Trust is key, and I always treat pets as if they were my own.

“Dasha is an absolutely wonderful cat sitter whom I trusted completely with my cats. She has an amazing approach to animals, is incredibly responsible and caring, and won my purr-babies' trust right from the start! She took fantastic care of them—always remembering treats, organizing great playtime, and giving them tons of attention. We highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again!”

About: I am a final-year Veterinary Nursing student available for short-term pet care whilst I finish my degree. I have worked in numerous veterinary practices with a variety of animals of different ages and varied health conditions and have extensive animal care experiences including first aid training, health checks, puppy classes, working for Pets Corner, dog groomers & day care. I am happy to look after your pets in your home or take dogs for walks in the local area. Flexible short-term bookings are welcome! I am a final-year Veterinary Nursing student with a flexible schedule currently while completing my studies and awaiting graduation in the summer. I am currently available on weekdays and weekends. As my house is currently not suitable for animals, i will not be including boarding care in my services. I prioritise animal welfare, keeping pets comfortable in their own familiar environment and follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding routines, exercise, and any medication. With my background, I am confident in handling animals safely, monitoring their health and behaviour, and recognising any possible dangers in the environment. I can provide regular updates and photos and ensure pets are kept secure, calm, and well cared for at all times.

About: Currently, I’m a university student studying film. In the past few years, I’ve worked at an animal hospital, where I took care of stray wildlife, including foxes and birds. I’ve been looking after pets since I was 10 and I have experience with animals such as horses, dogs, cats and hedgehogs. I’m currently working as a stable hand, grooming, cleaning tack, feeding and taking horses out into the field are part of my job description. I have experience in grooming, administering medication, flea treatment and I often read books on animal behaviour and anatomy just for fun, as I find it interesting and important to be able to know what our furry friends are communicating as well as knowing the different parts of their fascinating bodies. I’m currently a student and working part time once a week, so I’m available on the weekends and weekdays (evenings) to walk your furry friends! I have a friendly kitten who is very playful. I also have an extra room for any animals that prefer to be alone or for medical reasons.
About: I’ve always loved animals with a passion. I’ve had dogs for almost all of my life, and I absolutely love walking them, spending time with them, caring for them and playing with them. Sadly, since my last dog Luna (a beautiful Belgian Shepherd) passed away in 2019, I have missed having a pet so much. That’s why I decided that I would love to spend my time walking dogs and looking after other people’s pets. I’m energetic, caring and very responsible - and I have an in depth knowledge and vast experience of looking after dogs (and cats) of varying sizes and temperaments. I’ve been walking and sitting dogs on Rover over the last 6 years and am really enjoying meeting and getting to know some really lovely pets. 😊 So if your pooch needs a walk or your cat needs someone to drop in and care for them for a while, I might just be the person you need! 😊 I’d love to hear from you, so feel free to get in touch. 🐾 I work in the NHS in a mental health team from Tuesday to Friday, so Saturday to Monday are the times that I am mostly available during the week. I don’t look after pets in my home at present due to having a cat currently, however when sitting in your home I’ll make sure the pets are supervised, safe and secure.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for both puppies and senior pets. I’ve looked after a Toy Poodle from 3 months old, handling everything from potty training to daily exercise, playtime, and feeding routines. I’m also familiar with the needs of older pets -when I lived at home with my family, I helped care for our 17-year-old Cat, which taught me the importance of gentle, patient, and attentive care. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable around both dogs and cats. I can follow specific care instructions closely to make sure your pet stays happy, safe, and comfortable. Cleanliness and routine are important to me, and I always aim to provide a calm, loving environment for every pet. I understand that being away from home can feel stressful for pets, so I make it my priority to give them plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance until you return. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them genuinely makes me happy. I have hands-on experience with both puppies and senior pets - I helped raise a Toy Poodle from 3 months old, from potty training to daily walks, playtime, and feeding routines. When I lived at home with my family, I also helped care for our 17-year-old Cat, which taught me how important patience, gentleness, and understanding are, especially with older pets. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and settled while you’re away. I understand how hard it can be leaving your pet with someone new, so I’ll always care for them as if they were my own and keep you updated for peace of mind. Ideally I’d always say first time sitting or boarding it would be good to meet before hand. I am pretty flexible and work from home 2 times a week & free in weekends. I am also free everyday 6am - 9am then free from 4pm - all evening. I live in a flat no garden and all animals if I take them for a walk will be transported in my car to a nice park.

Lucie is great at communicating about our fluffy prince and put our minds at ease while we worried about Winston being overheated during our time away . Winston obviously adored Lucie and even forgave her after she gave him eye drops for his weepy eye. Thank you so much 😊. We will book again 😻

It was my first time using the app, and first time leaving the cats with someone new, but Habiba explained everything and made the whole experience stress free. She spent time with the cats on each visit, earning their trust after a few days. Would recommend Habiba, and already got her availability for future bookings.

This is the second time that Clare has looked after our 2 cats whilst we have been away from home. We are very happy with the care that Clare provides, she spends time with our cats to make sure that both are happy and well, alongside feeding them etc. Clare sends us photos and updates from each of her visits which we really appreciate. We trust Clare completely and would recommend her as a reliable and caring pet-loving person.

Dasha is an absolutely wonderful cat sitter whom I trusted completely with my cats. She has an amazing approach to animals, is incredibly responsible and caring, and won my purr-babies' trust right from the start! She took fantastic care of them—always remembering treats, organizing great playtime, and giving them tons of attention. We highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again!

Yasmin looked after my three-legged cat Skippy. She was so great in how she put Skippy at ease and played with her and took her outside for supervised garden time! She bought Skippy her favourite treats which was so lovely and thoughtful. I got updates and photos for each visit and everything looked more tidy than when I left! I’ll definitely be using her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
