“Lucy and Reece were very responsive and friendly. They kept us really well updated with how Roux was getting on and we felt very sure that he was in safe hands! Clearly experienced dog people, they dealt with Roux excellently, especially as he’s a boisterous young puppy! They also took great care of our house - we’d definitely recommend them to anyone!”

“Gregory looked after our dog for the day perfectly and seems to have built a connection with him very quickly. We found him relaxed and happy when we returned. Very good communication throughout the booking process and on the day.”

“Justine was a fantastic sitter while we were away and was incredibly flexible in the run up to the trip. She took the time to meet with us and visit the house ahead of the booking and left everything clean and tidy. She sent daily photos of both our cat and our dog and provided regular updates. Our energetic cavapoo was taken on long walks and our anxious cat was happy and relaxed at home with Justine. We would absolutely not hesitate to use Justine again.”

“I would totally recommend Tarja. She looked after our nervous overseas 3 yr old rescue dog Faith (plus a less nervous, less demanding house rabbit!) and was really patient, understanding and capable. She’s also totally clean and tidy and it was like she was never here! Tarja was great at keeping me updated and reassured and at generally helping our dog manage her fears and feel secure while we were away. I hope to call upon her services again soon! Thanks so much Tarja- you’ve been a star!”

“Ramandeep was just amazing, our little pup Daisy loved her. She stayed at our place and took great care of Daisy, taking her out and even training her. Went above and beyond to make sure Daisy had the best time. We will definitely book her again!”

“Lindsey was amazing! She was extremely communicative and sent many updates. She was great with my dog and cats and I would recommend her to anyone. Very reliable and professional, thank you again!”

“Lady was good with my cats. She spent a lot of time at our home with them, and for the first time I was able to genuinely relax and enjoy my holiday without constantly worrying about how they were doing. My cats are outdoor cats, so looking after them isn’t always easy, especially because their routines and return times can be unpredictable. Lady was incredibly patient and caring, and she understood how important it was for me to know that they were safe and well looked after. I really appreciated the updates and the time she dedicated to them. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while I was away. I would definitely recommend Lady to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and reliable cat sitters . Thank you so much, Lady! ❤️”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs neighbours, families, I also had my own dog for 13 years that was my responsibility. Taught them all many tricks and loved every minute of it I work Monday to Friday, 9am–4:30pm, so I’m available before and after work and have plenty of availability at weekends. I’m happy to discuss what works best. I’m a very caring and responsible person and would treat your dog like my own. I’ll make sure they’re safe, comfortable and well looked after, while following their normal routine and your instructions.
About: I have taken care of animals since I was 13. I’ve looked after rabbits, cats and dogs and love doing so. I often look after my friends and family’s pets. As I can work from home I have the capacity to give your pet the attention they deserve throughout the day. I also like to go walks so enjoy dog walking. I have a fenced garden so your pet will have space to walk and play around while also being able to give them multiple bathroom breaks

“Absolutely amazing. Couldn’t have left my baby with anyone more perfect! Sai looked after my boy with extreme care and love. He was even missing her after a short 4 day stay. She is a wonderful person with great care of dogs and I would definitely recommend her. I was scared as it was my first time leaving my boy with someone and she made the experience feel as though he was with one of the family members and right at home. Thank you so much for the amazing care and love you gave Branson ❤️🙏🏼”

About: I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment where your dog will be genuinely cared for, comforted, and treated like family. I have a natural love for animals and understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you can fully trust. Personally, I have extensive experience as a dog owner. I previously had a German Shepherd & Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who lived to 17, and I currently have a five-year-old toy poodle. Professionally, I have worked at Urban Mutts Hotels, where I cared for a wide variety of dogs in both daycare and boarding settings. My experience goes beyond breeds and sizes — I am confident managing different temperaments, energy levels, dietary requirements, and allergies, always prioritising each dog’s comfort and wellbeing. I take the time to understand every dog’s routine, personality, and preferences — whether they need active play, calm companionship, or extra reassurance. My approach is calm, patient, and detail-oriented, ensuring your dog feels secure, happy, and completely at ease while in my care. For added peace of mind, I provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication throughout, so you always know your dog is safe, settled, and well looked after. I am currently self- employed and working from home, my diary can be flexible if needed. I am open to last minute bookings, if needed. I have a house with a long, gated garden that your dogs would love to run around in and do some training drills. For longer walks I have a park nearby.
About: I have over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, having grown up with pets my entire life. At one point, our pets family grew up to 11 cats and 3 dogs, so I am very comfortable managing multiple pets at once while giving each one the individual attention they deserve. I have experience with dogs of all sizes from large breeds like German Shepherds to small breeds like Pomeranians; as well as both indoor and outdoor pets. I am confident caring for puppies and senior pets, understanding their unique needs, whether that means extra patience, structured routines, medication support, or gentle exercise. Pet sitting is more than just a job for me, it’s something I truly love. I am dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and reliable environment so pet owners can feel completely at ease knowing their furry family members are in good hands. One of the biggest advantages I bring to pet sitting is my flexible lifestyle. I live by myself and don’t have any dependants, which means I can easily adjust my schedule around your pet’s needs. I also work remotely, so I’m able to spend much more time at homekeeping your pet company, maintaining their routine, and making sure they feel safe and cared for throughout the day. Because of this flexibility, I’m very comfortable with both daytime and overnight sitting. Whether your pet needs regular companionship, consistent supervision, or someone to stay overnight for extra reassurance, I’m happy to accommodate. Since moving to the UK, I’ve really missed spending time with animals, so pet sitting is something I genuinely look forward to. I truly enjoy building a connection with each pet and giving them attention, affection, and a calm, reliable presence while you’re away. Trust is incredibly important when it comes to caring for both your pet and your home. I understand that inviting someone into your space requires confidence and peace of mind, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I am respectful, tidy, and mindful of your home at all times. I follow all care instructions carefully and make sure routines are maintained exactly as requested. I’m also happy to provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel reassured while you’re away. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I pay close attention to their behaviour, needs, and comfort, and I will always communicate promptly if anything seems out of the ordinary. You can expect reliability, transparency, and genuine care from me. I treat every home and pet with the same level of respect and responsibility as I would my own

We were delighted to find Aurelia. She is patient, caring, and attentive in making sure every detail of the cat’s wellbeing is properly taken care of. Stewie seemed very relaxed in her presence and took to her. Overall a really good experience. We will certainly use her again. She is responsible, knowledgeable and caring and I've no hesitation in recommending her as a reliable and trustworthy pet-sitter.
We left our cat with Tetiana for the second time, and once again, we couldn’t have asked for better care. ❤️She took such wonderful care of him, and it was clear that her whole family genuinely loved having him around. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was happy, comfortable and well looked after while we were away. We’re so grateful for all the care she gave him, and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with her again.

Charmaine agreed to look after Nancy very last minute which we were extremely thankful for. She turned up early so I could give her a run down of where to take Nancy to the toilet and other care instructions which we really appreciated. Nancy warmed to her immediately and they seemed to have a lovely day together. Nancy even dragged her into Starbucks for a pupachino 😂 Thanks so much Charmaine for all your help. You were fab!

Sherlock had the best time with Jack - he was so excited to see him and extremely relaxed the whole day. Jack provided great communication and we felt confident and comfortable leaving Sherlock with him. Sherlock is 8 months old and can be quite hard work, but it seems like Jack took it all in his stride!

Isabel was fab! She arrived on time, followed care instructions perfectly and gave updates throughout the day. Nancy immediately took a shining to her and was evidently comfortable in her care. Would absolutely recommend and book again. Thanks so much Isabel for taking the booking so last minute!

I can’t recommend Carla highly enough. She immediately understood our very lively but rather nervous Springer spaniel, Poppy. We were able to leave confident that Poppy would have a good time and that Carla would be able to handle any situation. Carla was equally comfortable taking Poppy for a long walk, playing endless games of ball or just cuddling on the sofa. I will most certainly use Carla again and both Poppy and I look forward to her next visit.
Lady was good with my cats. Pallavi was absolutely wonderful with Polo, our Golden Retriever. 🐶💛 She was warm, caring and attentive, and Polo clearly felt comfortable and happy with her. She kept us updated and we felt completely at ease knowing he was being well looked after. It’s obvious Pallavi genuinely loves dogs and treats them with lots of care and affection. Would happily recommend Pallavi to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and Polo would definitely be very happy to see her again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sam did a fantastic job taking care of our Charlie, our aquatic friends, and our flat over a long weekend. He is reliable, professional and communicates very efficiently, with regular updates and prompt responses. Charlie got comfortable with him right away, and had a great time while we were travelling. We will be definitely reaching out to Sam again in the future for more help. Thanks so much!

We are so thankful for Yasmin! Our dog loves her and we love the updates of all their adventures when we are away. Yasmin goes above and beyond for both our dog and very mischievous cat. We know they are in safe hands and we are able to go away without any worries or concerns, Yasmin can handle anything that happens!

We needed a cat sitter to stay over and look after our two one year old cats while we were getting married. We were very nervous about leaving them as it was the first time we’d left them for more than a night, and especially as one of them needs tablets 3x a day to prevent seizures. We needn’t have worried - Justine put us at ease right away and both cats were immediately comfortable with her. She sent daily updates, administered Fern’s tablets with no problems and left the house clean for us to come home to. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Harvey is a wonderful dog sitter. He has sat for us on multiple occasions for 2 very different types of dogs (older and more chilled; younger and wilder) and every time I know I can trust him to take excellent care. He is kind, considerate and punctual. He asks the right questions and sends photos while we’re out so we can enjoy ourselves knowing Chloe is having a wonderful time. Thanks Harvey!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Hounslow walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hounslow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
