“This was the first time we had left our puppy for longer than 2 nights. Justine looked after him wonderfully. He is at a tricky age and difficult On walks but Justine adapted his care to include more home based enrichment opportunities. I felt confident whole away that he was being looked after well and so I could enjoy my holiday. Wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 13. I’ve looked after rabbits, cats and dogs and love doing so. I often look after my friends and family’s pets. As I can work from home I have the capacity to give your pet the attention they deserve throughout the day. I also like to go walks so enjoy dog walking. I have a fenced garden so your pet will have space to walk and play around while also being able to give them multiple bathroom breaks

About: I know how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone new, so my priority is making them feel safe, settled and genuinely at home while you’re away.🐾❤️ I provide lots of one-to-one attention, affection, playtime and regular walks, while keeping as closely as possible to your dog’s normal routine. My home is a quiet, non-smoking household with no children or resident pets, as well as a secure fenced garden for supervised outdoor time and toilet breaks. This also means your dog can receive plenty of individual attention during their stay. I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking and sleeping routines and any specific instructions you provide. I also understand how reassuring updates are when you’re away, so I’m happy to send regular photos and messages throughout their stay. 📸🐶 Every dog has their own personality, so I’ll always take the time to understand what makes yours happiest and most comfortable. Your dog’s routine comes first 🐾 I have a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, toilet breaks and, most importantly, company and attention. I know dogs can find a new environment strange at first, so I’m happy to take things at their pace and keep their routine as familiar as possible. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or would rather curl up and have cuddles, I’ll adapt their stay around them. I’m also happy to arrange a meet & greet beforehand so you and your dog can get comfortable with me before their first stay. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I provide a calm, clean and loving environment and will carefully follow any feeding, walking, medication or care instructions you provide. I’ll make sure your pet receives plenty of attention and is never made to feel unsettled or uncomfortable. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates throughout their stay for extra peace of mind.
About: I've been caring for animals my entire life, and I approach every booking with the understanding that your pet is a member of your family. I currently own a playful and friendly Shiba Inu x Pug mix. She is one year old, very high energy, and has never met a creature she didn't like and wanted to play with. Training her was/is a challenging but rewarding experience. I am very comfortable with puppies and senior dogs as they usually need more attention and care, and I find providing that rewarding. I am working 8am-4.30 with one hour lunch break. I provide 4 outings a day - 3 quick walks (before work, lunch time, before bedtime) and one longer walk/play in the park (after work) I live with my partner and Penny in a one-bedroom apartment with sizable living space with multiple dog beds, and a large balcony. We have several dog parks nearby, as well as a lovely riverside path for walks. When caring for your pet in your home, I have no problems providing the type of care your dog is used to.

I have a secure fenced garden, providing a safe space for pets to play and relax. I have extensive experience working with all breeds of dogs and cats, including previous professional experience as a dog and cat groomers before becoming a pet sitter. Me & My Partner Maisie are full-time pet sitters, so we are available throughout the day and overnight to care for your pets. We also offer pet drop-in services if you need your pet fed, checked on, or given company in the comfort of your own home. Whether your pet stays with me or remains in their familiar environment, they will receive plenty of care, attention, and affection. We will also never have two dogs together at the same time unless they are suited We have a spacious garden that is fully secure and safely fenced, giving pets plenty of room to play, explore, and relax. Animal welfare is extremely important to us, and I believe every dog and cat deserves the highest standard of care, attention, and kindness. We also have two friendly Bull Terrier who enjoy the company of other dogs and are well socialised. We will adapt to each dog and cats individual needs

About: I’ve had hands on experience caring for dogs for many years. I owned a Golden Retriever for 13 years, who passed away last year. Through that experience, I became very familiar with daily care, exercise, feeding routines, and providing lots of love and attention. I also regularly look after my cousins’ dogs when they are away, ensuring they are well cared for, comfortable, and happy. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and treating them as part of the family. I am working towards becoming a Speech and Language Therapist and in my free time I would love the opportunity to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. Having recently lost my Golden Retriever I grew up with for 13 years, I have so much love and care to give to animals. I would treat your pets as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention and cuddles while you're away. I will follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks and playtime. I will ensure your dog receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you're away. I will keep your home tidy and respect your space and I'll provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel confident that your dog is happy and well cared for.

About: I'm an experienced sitter with a variety of breeds of both dogs and cats, having had cats since I was a toddler, and dogs in the extended family my whole life. As an actor who works part-time, my schedule is flexible and can accommodate a lot of contact-time with pets. When I'm not on a job or working part-time in the city, I'll be working from home. You can expect multiple (if required) daily drop-ins, walks, and overnight sitting if local. I drive and cycle so it's easy for me to get around in good time, and I'm an active person so will always be up for a dog walk (or run!). I personally own 2 cats, so the safety and understanding of individual pet personalities is paramount to me! Additionally, as a homeowner, I also have great appreciation and respect for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the pet-owners I would be working with.

Lady was good with my cats. She spent a lot of time at our home with them, and for the first time I was able to genuinely relax and enjoy my holiday without constantly worrying about how they were doing. My cats are outdoor cats, so looking after them isn’t always easy, especially because their routines and return times can be unpredictable. Lady was incredibly patient and caring, and she understood how important it was for me to know that they were safe and well looked after. I really appreciated the updates and the time she dedicated to them. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while I was away. I would definitely recommend Lady to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and reliable cat sitters . Thank you so much, Lady! ❤️

Lucy and Reece were very responsive and friendly. They kept us really well updated with how Roux was getting on and we felt very sure that he was in safe hands! Clearly experienced dog people, they dealt with Roux excellently, especially as he’s a boisterous young puppy! They also took great care of our house - we’d definitely recommend them to anyone!

Carla was amazing with Poppy. She is clearly a natural. She immediately understood my very energetic but nervous Springer Spaniel. Carla matched Poppy’s energy level and spent a lot of time with her playing ball in the park but she was also ready to cuddle on the sofa. You’ll be very lucky if you have Carla as a dog sitter and I hope she will be available for Poppy very soon Thanks Carla.
Pallavi was absolutely wonderful with Polo, our Golden Retriever. 🐶💛 She was warm, caring and attentive, and Polo clearly felt comfortable and happy with her. She kept us updated and we felt completely at ease knowing he was being well looked after. It’s obvious Pallavi genuinely loves dogs and treats them with lots of care and affection. Would happily recommend Pallavi to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and Polo would definitely be very happy to see her again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sam did a fantastic job taking care of our Charlie, our aquatic friends, and our flat over a long weekend. He is reliable, professional and communicates very efficiently, with regular updates and prompt responses. Charlie got comfortable with him right away, and had a great time while we were travelling. We will be definitely reaching out to Sam again in the future for more help. Thanks so much!

Jenika has been absolutely amazing. She treated our Archie as if he was her own, and he loved being with her. We honestly could not have asked for more. She sent regular photos and videos, and left our flat looking better than when we left it! Jenika was house sitting for us and she really went above and beyond in caring for our furry lunatic. We really can't thank her enough. I would absolutely recommend Jenika to anyone looking for a sitter.
We are so thankful for Yasmin! Our dog loves her and we love the updates of all their adventures when we are away. Yasmin goes above and beyond for both our dog and very mischievous cat. We know they are in safe hands and we are able to go away without any worries or concerns, Yasmin can handle anything that happens!

We needed a cat sitter to stay over and look after our two one year old cats while we were getting married. We were very nervous about leaving them as it was the first time we’d left them for more than a night, and especially as one of them needs tablets 3x a day to prevent seizures. We needn’t have worried - Justine put us at ease right away and both cats were immediately comfortable with her. She sent daily updates, administered Fern’s tablets with no problems and left the house clean for us to come home to. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Harvey is a wonderful dog sitter. He has sat for us on multiple occasions for 2 very different types of dogs (older and more chilled; younger and wilder) and every time I know I can trust him to take excellent care. He is kind, considerate and punctual. He asks the right questions and sends photos while we’re out so we can enjoy ourselves knowing Chloe is having a wonderful time. Thanks Harvey!

Kelsey looked after our kitties for a week whilst we were on our honeymoon, she is wonderful with them and we felt very relaxed knowing she was with them and sending us updates on them! Thanks so much Kelsey for looking after them and for sorting the flat out and leaving it so clean! We will definitely be booking for our next holiday!

Gail was wonderful with Stewie. She looked after him for six nights and kept us updated throughout with messages and lovely photos of what he was getting up to. Stewie was very comfortable with Gail and clearly adored her, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We would highly recommend Gail to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.
Natasha was amazing with our 10-week-old Vizsla puppy and kindly facilitated a last-minute booking. She clearly has a real love for animals and we will certainly be booking Natasha again in the near future. Our pup was so excited to meet her and from the updates, it seems he had had an amazing day!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Hounslow walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hounslow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
