“Isabella was really great with our puppy Roux! She sent some lovely photos through the day and left the house very neat and tidy. We’ll definitely be using her regularly - highly recommend her to anyone with a young energetic puppy!”

“Justine was easy to communicate with and was great at looking after Chase. Respectful of the house and followed all instructions perfectly in looking after him. Thanks a lot.”

“I would totally recommend Tarja. She looked after our nervous overseas 3 yr old rescue dog Faith (plus a less nervous, less demanding house rabbit!) and was really patient, understanding and capable. She’s also totally clean and tidy and it was like she was never here! Tarja was great at keeping me updated and reassured and at generally helping our dog manage her fears and feel secure while we were away. I hope to call upon her services again soon! Thanks so much Tarja- you’ve been a star!”

“Thank you so much, Rudy had the best time on his walks and seemed to be so comfortable in Yasmin’s care! Rudy was able to socialise with other dogs which he wouldn’t have otherwise been able to do, boosting his confidence, he can’t wait for his next walk!! Thanks again!”

“Chrystina stayed at our house for a week to look after our energetic Cocker Spaniel whilst we went on holiday. She came in her own time to meet our dog beforehand and learn her routine, which I was super impressed with. Whilst we were away she sent us daily photos of our dog enjoying her walks and having lots of cuddles! We returned to a very content dog and a clean and tidy home. We would have no hesitation in recommending Chrystina to friends, family and beyond. She is a true animal lover and your home and pets are safe in her hands ❤️”

“Sarah was really great with my dogs, and followed all the guidance I had about greyhound care and their routine for the day. Her communication was great. I would definitely ask Sarah to dog sit again.”

About: I’ve had hands on experience caring for dogs for many years. I owned a Golden Retriever for 13 years, who passed away last year. Through that experience, I became very familiar with daily care, exercise, feeding routines, and providing lots of love and attention. I also regularly look after my cousins’ dogs when they are away, ensuring they are well cared for, comfortable, and happy. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and treating them as part of the family. I am working towards becoming a Speech and Language Therapist and in my free time I would love the opportunity to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. Having recently lost my Golden Retriever I grew up with for 13 years, I have so much love and care to give to animals. I would treat your pets as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention and cuddles while you're away. I will follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks and playtime. I will ensure your dog receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you're away. I will keep your home tidy and respect your space and I'll provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel confident that your dog is happy and well cared for.

About: Currently, I’m a university student studying film. In the past few years, I’ve worked at an animal hospital, where I took care of stray wildlife, including foxes and birds. I’ve been looking after pets since I was 10 and I have experience with animals such as horses, dogs, cats and hedgehogs. I’m currently working as a stable hand, grooming, cleaning tack, feeding and taking horses out into the field are part of my job description. I have experience in grooming, administering medication, flea treatment and I often read books on animal behaviour and anatomy just for fun, as I find it interesting and important to be able to know what our furry friends are communicating as well as knowing the different parts of their fascinating bodies. I’m currently a student and working part time once a week, so I’m available on the weekends and weekdays (evenings) to walk your furry friends! I have a friendly kitten who is very playful. I also have an extra room for any animals that prefer to be alone or for medical reasons.

I am working a hybrid full time job so I’m quite flexible to take care of your 4 legs friends in between. I can mostly do 1-2 times daily visit or up for boarding service which they can spend time with the my cat Olaf! I am currently living in an apartment which security gates. The area itself is residential and safe in general. I also has access to nearby parks for some fresh air.

It’s more than just the basics, I always go extra mile

About: Animals have been a constant part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a household with cats and a German Shepherd x Husky mix for 15 years, I became well-versed in the daily rhythms of pet life—from the importance of a consistent feeding schedule to recognizing when a dog needs a long walk to burn off energy. While much of my experience comes from being part of a pet-loving family, I am a dedicated and attentive companion to every animal I meet. I regularly join in on walks and play sessions with my partner’s dog, and I’ve always been the person neighbors trust to spend time with their pets. I am excited to transition my lifelong love for animals into a focused walking service where I can provide your pet with the same care, attention, and safety I’ve given my own family pets for years. As a self-employed professional working partly from home and as a Supporting Artist, I enjoy a highly flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize your pet's needs. Because I manage my own hours, I can easily accommodate mid-day walks, last-minute check-ins, or morning strolls on the days I am not on set. My 'work-from-home' days mean I am often available when most people are at their desks, ensuring your dog gets the attention and exercise they need right when they need it most. I am a great communicator and will always keep my calendar updated so you know exactly when I’m available to jump in and help! My approach to pet care is centered on safety, communication, and individual needs. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I start every relationship by learning about their specific behaviors, triggers, and 'house rules.' Whether I’m providing a high-energy 'buster' walk to tire out an active pup or staying overnight to keep them company in the comfort of their own home, I treat your pets like family. • Customized Care: I always check for specific medical needs, dietary restrictions, or behavioral quirks (like leash pulling or being shy around other dogs) before we start. •Home Respect: For overnight stays, I maintain your home’s security and cleanliness while ensuring your pet feels zero stress in your absence. • Frequent Updates: You’ll receive plenty of photos and updates so you can see exactly how much fun your pet is having! My goal is to provide a seamless experience where your pet stays happy, healthy, and tired out by the time you get home.
“Absolutely fantastic! Thank you! My dog was a very happy and very tired pup after a wonderful weekend with Ruby. Excellent communication and a very well cared for pooch. Will be booking Ruby again and again.”

Gail was absolutely wonderful with our little Noodle whilst we were away, even during a blistering heatwave. She was so kind and attentive, sending many photos and keeping us updated on how he was doing. She also left the house spotless and went above and beyond to treat the home with respect. Thank you so much Gail!

Sam looked after our dogs, Stella and Zara, from Thursday to Sunday, and we couldn't have been happier with the care he provided. He was punctual, reliable, and took amazing care of the dogs while staying at our home. Throughout the weekend, he kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind and helped us feel connected to what was happening while we were away. When we returned home, the dogs were happy and well cared for, and the house was spotless, clean, and tidy. Sam went above and beyond in every aspect of his stay. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog sitter. He was absolutely fantastic, and we would not hesitate to book him again.
Isabella was so great with our (very crazy) 13 week old puppy. Olive can bite quite a lot but Isabella didn’t make a fuss over it and even managed to take Olive out for her second walk. She sent photos through the day and left the house neat and tidy. Super grateful for the last minute support!

Kelsey was fantastic with our two dogs, Darcy and Duke. She took great care of them, kept us updated, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to two happy dogs and couldn't be happier with the service. We can't wait to book with Kelsey again and would highly recommend her!

Justine was wonderful with Romy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. Romy is still a very young puppy, so she comes with plenty of energy, curiosity and typical puppy antics, but Justine handled her brilliantly. She took Romy for a walk, spent time playing with her, and made sure she was happy and well cared for while I was out for the afternoon and evening. It was clear that she was patient, kind and genuinely enjoyed spending time with her. I really appreciated the updates and communication throughout the booking, which gave me peace of mind knowing Romy was in good hands. I came home to a happy, settled puppy, and I’m very grateful for the care and attention Justine gave her.

Thank you so much, Rudy had the best time on his walks and seemed to be so comfortable in Yasmin’s care! Rudy was able to socialise with other dogs which he wouldn’t have otherwise been able to do, boosting his confidence, he can’t wait for his next walk!! Thanks again!

Amy spent half a day with our Pomsky who had never been with anyone else or alone for more than a few minutes. She reassured us with a photo and messages and we came back home to find her relaxed and happy! She was kind to also come to a meet and greet beforehand so he would know her beforehand. We will surely call her again next time we need to leave him alone. Thank you so much, Amy!

Alice was wonderful with our pepper! She was incredibly patient, warm and loving with our anxious senior pup. She always kept us updated, and we were never concerned about the safety of our baby. We will definitely be booking with Alice again in the very near future xx

Nick was really wonderful with our Vizsla, Otto. Nick stayed overnight and sent us regular updates on how everything was going. As we weren’t going to be around to meet Nick during the overnight stay he even popped in beforehand to meet us and run through everything. The house was lovely and tidy and Nick even stripped the bed and put the washing in the machine. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Nick to help out with any type of dog walking or sitting.

Ella is a lovely lady, she is experienced, caring and attentive. The girls had a wonderful day! I felt the girls were safe and very well cared for. Messages were always responded to quickly which made arranging everything very easy. I definitely recommend Ella.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Hounslow walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hounslow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
